Hello all, before I get started, I wanted to say I am no artist, so I will not be able to draw everything that is in this region. I will in time get pictures up for the region.
The word Mouro means berry in greek. The A is added to make it fall in line with Alola and Unova which are also based in United States. This region is based on and inspired by areas in the South Eastern part of the United States.

History:
Spoiler:
The Mouroa Region is a very lush region that is southwest of the Unove Region. The land has be cultivated for many centuries. During the war of Truths and Ideals 1000 years ago, a large number of citizens of Unova retreated southwest, deep inland. They traveled for many years before finding a large valley like region that was full of berry trees and bushes. They would call the region Mouroa.
Mouroa is an inland region with no coastal waters, but has a large river that runs through it and many lakes and springs. There is also many mountains and forests in the region, that were kept in order to preserve the natural order. Many towns sprung up around the region, this also included many farms and ranches, all which were named after berries. Some towns even become what is known a a Ranch Town or Ranch Village, which was a large farmstead that had many houses on it.
Enigma City had become their largest city. The city grew around a large temple on the edge of a large lake which they called a Parthenon. This temple was to worship Arceus, and many other legendary pokemon including the One Dragon, which no one truly knew the name of. All that was known of the One Dragon was that it had become three.
800 years ago, Enigma City was destroyed by a large flood, that left the grand city in ruins. Many survivors retreated from the flood, but some stayed behind to rebuild Enigma City, which still stands today, under the name of New Enigma City.
Mouroa is home to many different pokemon, as well as over 100 new species.

Spoiler:
The people in the Mouroa Region lived in harmony with nature, but also became more advanced as time went on. However, most of the region continued to live on farm lands and become ranchers or farmers.
500 years after Enigma City had been destroyed, the established what was known as the Festival of Berries, where every three years, a grand festival would be held for kids and adults to participate in if the were at least 12 years old. It required journeying all over the region and collecting what is know as berry tokens. Similar to badges and symbols, they would have to prove to the keeper of the tokens that the deserved it. These tokens would be earned by doing a number of things. Battles, Trials, Tests, and Contests were all part of the tests. Even showcases.
As the years passed, the people of Mouroa grew accustomed to many things that they would see in other regions. They started breeding pokemon more as the researched. This lead to discovery of many more evolutions and baby pokemon.

The Grand Berry Festival:
Spoiler:
The Festival of Berries (Or Grand Berry Festival), is a festival that happens every three years. It was to celebrate the pilgrimage from Unova to Mouro which also took three years. The festival is lead by the Royal Court.
The Royal Court is a group of trainers who have won the festival by beating the previous Royal Court. The top two trainers of the Top 6 are known as the Berry Fairy Queen and the Berry Fairy King. The other four trainers then become the Knights of the Festival of Berries. It is said they a legendary fairy came to them in their hour of need and eventually lead them to the Mouro Region. This is why they are known as the Fairy King and Queen.
Every year trainers who are 12 years old or older can start to collect the Berry Tokens. They must reach 30 tokens by a set dead line in the year of a festival. If they do not reach 30 by the dead line, they must re earn 30 tokens regardless of how many they had before the dead line.
Example - If a person starts when they are 12 years old, and they earn 25 by the dead line, they must restart from scratch after the current festival ends. They do not have to start when they are 12, they can wait if they wish. Some trainers will wait extra years so that they have the full three years.
To earn these badges, they must compete in battles, races, contests and many other events and defeat all opponents in the tournament. If they are number one in a tournament, they will then earn the chance to defeat the Berry Thanes. There are many different events.
All trainers who earn 30 Berry Tokens will then battle one another to earn the Top 6 Spots. The Top 6 then battle in a double battle round robin to see who gets the most wins. The team with the most wins will then earn the chance to become the Berry Fairy King and Queen. The other four may then battle the Knights. If the challengers for the king and queen spots lose, they then have a chance to become knights as well.
The Royal Court Games are held in 1 on 1 terms. The candidate for king will battle the current king and the candidate for the queen will battle the current queen. The knight candidates are free to challenge any other knights. However, all Royal Court members will choose what they want the event to be for their match.
If any candidates for the Royal Court fail to become a knight, they must gain 30 tokens again for the next Berry Festival. However, they can become Thanes if they so wish.
Any knights of the Royal Court that are dethroned, must gain 30 tokens again to rechallenge the Royal Court. The dethroned king and queen can attempt to become knights. But if they fail to become a knight, they must collect 30 tokens once again to rechallenge the Royal Court.
