  • Would using a pokemon that has Tailwind or trick room make having a wishiwashi on your team much better despite its HP?
Wishiwashis stats are insane, but due to it always going second, it's basically useless if your opponent hits it really good. However, if it were to always go first, like with trick room making it go first since its the slower pokemon, do you think WW would be a really good pokemon in a team like that?

If so, what item do we give it? Movesets?

  • Wishiwashi @Choice Band
    Ability: Schooling
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
    Brave Nature
    -Waterfall
    -Ice Beam
    -Earthquake
    -U-Turn

    or

    Wishiwashi @Choice Specs/Waterium Z
    Ability: Schooling
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
    Quiet Nature
    -Hydro Pump
    -Ice Beam

    -Hidden Power Grass

For your Trick Room setter I'd recommend looking at Cresselia, Uxie or Magearna.

Edit: Whoops meant to edit not double post, sorry.

U-turn and HP fire (for Ferrothorn) are moves to consider on Specs too. Figy, Iapapa, Wiki, and Aguav Berry are options, which heal 50% of HP. ChestoRest as well. However, I'd give Specs a try first. Hydro Pump is its strongest move, and I imagine it performs better with items that give it an offensive boost. Mystic Water is probably decent if you don't want to be locked into a move. It might be better on Trick Room because turns are valuable.

  • Wishiwashi is really great while Schooling. The strategy is to allow him to sweep while Schooling, and use Aqua Ring to remain at high Hp. It would be great if you pair him with a guy that knows Trick Room. Like this, you would be able to start first. Aqua Ring combined with Leftovers give him lots of Hp, allowing him to stay schooling longer. Surf is STAB and is useful for Doubles and sometimes singles. Hydro Pump and Scald are also STAB that work great in both Singles and Doubles. Ice Beam is there to deal with mons that resist its STAB moves. U-Turn is there to allow him to switch out to prevent from being set up by Water types or some other mons.

Aqua Ring is a waste of a moveslot tbh. Even stacked with leftovers its never going to recover enough HP to make it a better option than coverage.
