Setting| New York City; for some of you, it's been your home since birth, for others you've moved here. Either way, this is your home now. This bustling city full of life and diversity, from the small humble neighborhoods in Brooklyn to the amazing hustle and bustle of Central Manhattan. Time Square is where the Digidestined find themselves on the day of July 31[the day after roleplay sample], this amazing attraction is literally full of people walking up and down the streets doing their own business. Cars are honking left and right, the streets are bumper to bumper traffic. Hanging above is the jumbo screen, displaying countless advertisements for various products.

Part A| You awake to a new day, all that crazy technological mishap is behind you. Summer vacation is really starting to take a toll on you, completely shattering your sense of time and you check your calender for the date. July 31, August was about to arrive and with it an increase in temperature. Summer is the time for shorts and tank tops right? You check the weather report and no matter what source you check, the internet, television, radio, today's fore cast is the same - it's snowing outside. You hurry to open a window and marvel at the downpour of soft white flakes down onto the city, you just can't believe it. You do your own morning routine - wash your teeth, eat break fast, check facebook, play a quick video game session - and something tells you to get off your lazy ass and go outside. Just, for some strange reason, you need to go outside. You don't have much of a choice when it come to wardrobe at this point, either wear a thick coat or freeze, so you quickly get dressed and head out. Your phone sounds off, your curiosity leads you to check and despite the fact its usually the tone for a new text message, its the GPS app that has a destination and mapped out your path to get there. You're freezing just standing there, so why not just take a walk to this place? You soon notice it leads you to a subway station, but it's super crowded as usual and you decide its safe. What can happen in a crowded subway station like this? You wait to take the appropriate subway line and board its incredibly crowded cart and wait. You try to check how long this will take on your phone, but it seems to have froze. Your attempts to exit are foiled by the oncoming traffic of businessman frantically trying to get to work. As soon as you are able to sit down, you do, you're comfortable, and thanks to your clothes you all nice and warm. The perfect ingredients, to sleep. You drift off, and when you awake you find yourselves alone in the subway cart with only five other people. [soon to be digidestined] You may, or may not recognize them, depending if you go to the same high school. The subway is no longer moving, and when you look out the window the station is barren. Your phone seems to have shut off for good, as it won't turn on.

You look around, examining the others, they seem as confused as you are so they probably didn't know what was going on either. Suddenly, the cart begins to move slowly. But you know something is wrong, as soon as you enter a tunnel everything is pitch black. You panic, and the cart begins to pick up speed tremendously fast. You fall to the floor, suddenly the lights flicker on and you see the others scattered along the floor as well. The monitors in the cart turn on, and you see a face of an elderly man with bulging eyes and a single white ponytail sticking out the top of his head. "Welcome." He says, and just like that, you knock out at the mercy of the amount of force the speed has created.

Part B| You wake up, your head pounding and you look around. You don't know where you are, or how you got there. The only thing that comes to mind when you try to recollect anything is just floating in the darkness, you try to remember what had transpired in the last few hours. You search yourself for clues, only managing to find your phone that won't turn on. You find yourself stranded, on foreign soil. Your surroundings were beautiful, large mountains and waterfalls, and a scenic forest surround you. This forest seemed to go on forever whichever way you looked. Everything looked identical, trying to find your way out was useless. The quiet, eerie environment is suddenly disrupted when trees begin to snap like twigs. Loud roars shake the very foundation the forest is planted on. What is there to do in a situation like this? Fetal Position? Rows of trees burst open, a pair of monstrous black claws tears them apart and a devilish head poked its way out. The creature violently tore his way through what remained of the trees and spotted you. You cringe at the sight of it, dark as midnight and teeth as sharp as blades. It spotted you, and quickly crawled around pointing its snout in the air. It looked like a large, rabbid dog, but moved around as quickly as a cheetah. It quickly crawled towards you, jumping from tree to tree until it growled and charged. Extincts kick in, you turn away in fear. When you do, a burning sensations spread across your skin. Your eyes snap open - changed to the color of your emblem - and just like that the earth beneath your feet erupted all at once in a spectacular burst of energy. Cracking whips of colored energy snap in each direction and you get the sudden need to stick your arms up. As if expecting something. "I've been waiting.." In that split second you hear the voice, the energy flowing around you launches the beast back at least twenty yards past the broken trees and concentrates on your palms. You've never felt this kind of power before, you smile. The energy materializes slowly into....an egg. It falls securely into your hands. You turn at the sound of pounding footsteps and see what appears to be a lion standing some five yards away from you. Long, flowing main and snout indicate it is definitely a lion. But it stood up right, at least seven feet tall with an enormous blade hanging off his back. "Human..." He started with his deep and demanding voice, "How did you get here?"

You attempt to answer the question, but your vision goes grey. You're body becomes cold, and numb. Only the lion is seen, while everything else breaks up like old television white noise. Soon, everything goes black. You fall flat on your back, the cold forest floor around you. You try to move to check if you are still alive, and you successfully turn to your other side. To your amazement, you're in your room. You check the date: July 31, 7:43 A.M. The morning you left, just what had happened. It was a dream, it must have been, you think. You sit up right, and see the egg you received at the foot of your bed. You stay there frozen, in awe. Then...it cracks open.

Sophia

July 31st, 2012 - Part A

"Snow?!"

Sophia blinked her eyes, rubbed them, anything to make sure she was actually seeing this right. The weather report on her phone had to be wrong did it not see how beautiful it was yesterday evening? She dreaded the moment when she had to get out of bed in the morning the house was always lonely in the morning. Her father was never home maybe to pay a few bills but then he went on another "business trip" with her mother leaving her behind once more. She tried to convince herself it was okay because he left his gold card by "accident" each time he left for his "trips". Sophia saw through his little trick the first time he did it but that didn't stop her from going on her daily shopping trips. The moment of dread came as Sophia took her first steps of the day towards her window. At that time Sophia stopped and said a prayer to whatever gods or goddess might be listening, I beg for there not to be snow. PLEASE! With that she threw open the windows to reveal a landscape full of snow.

"I knew there was a reason why I'm not religious," She mumbled under her breath. "How am I suppose to look cute without freezing my butt off?" Whining was just the first part of her morning routine next would be the "it's not fair, why me?" speech, and after that her "why can't we live in California!?" one. All of this was said to herself, as she had no one else to talk to.

A bing went off in her room, her phone lit up showing that she had a new message waiting for her. Sophia sighed and flopped back onto her bed to read the text message from Maryann, "Did you look outside? Snow!!!!!! Raincheck on shopping? y/n? The message wouldn't get a response from Sophia before she had a chance to inhale some coffee. With that Sophia slipped into her shower robe and began her early morning bathroom ritual. The ritual involved showering, blowing drying (her hair), brushing her teeth, flossing, washing her face, painting her nails (both sets), and putting on/in the necessities such as make-up, deodorant, lotion, and her piercings. It usually takes her about an hour minimum if she's doing it at a decent speed. Today, it took Sophia about an hour and a half to make an appearance outside of the restroom. Picking out her clothes was always the easiest part for Sophia but she was too hungry to focus on getting dressed. Two bagels with cream cheese are what she decided on after about three seconds in the food cabinet. Sophia sat down on the couch, as she reached for the remote she instantly felt the need to go outside and walk around. After a quick trip to her room to retrieve her cellphone she was out the door.

The harshness of the cold enveloped Sophia causing her to shiver multiples times within seconds of walking out the door. Even though she was wearing a pink zip hoodie along with matching pink ear muffs. Underneath she wore her red low cut shirt with a plain white tank top under that. Her pale legs were the only things to be seen as her jacket ended where her shorts did which exposed much of her legs. Not the smartest decision in this temperature but Sophia knew that sometimes there's pain in looking good. Her walking increased with speed as she felt a breeze of coldness attacking her legs, she needed something to warm her up and fast. The nearest Starbucks was within a block of where Sophia's house was which translates to ten minutes away in this weather. Her phone kept beeping as if it insisted Sophia pay more attention to it but with her earmuffs on the noise was easily blocked out.

"Peppermint Mocha with Caramel Sauce and a Double Chocolate Brownie," Sophia said immediately to the nearest barista when she entered Starbucks. "Make it quick!" Her tone was full of her impatient attitude. Noticing that the registers were all working Sophia breathed a sigh of relief because yesterday everything electronic was out of sync. Her card was swiped without trouble and a few minutes later she was holding her Mocha and Brownie heading home. Setting her brownie in her pocket for later consumption Sophia plucked out her phone before it became a brown iPhone instead its original white color. Somehow her GPS app had been pulled up and a mysterious location had been selected. It was way too early in the morning for such an adventure, you just don't walk around Queens like this.

"Why not?"

Well, maybe because it's freezing cold outside and you're barely wearing any clothes, Sophia thought. Her mind waged war against the idea but it was slowly winning each battle and before she noticed Sophia had made her way across town. She glanced at the nearest sign, a subway station, really? Sophia hated how dirty these places were which is why she preferred to walk places plus it gave her time to think. People were rude, disrespectful, and pushy in these stations but Sophia shrugged her shoulders if anything she could be just as mean. Within seconds Sophia found herself emerged into the mass crowd of people making their way into their selected subway lines. Looking down at her phone Sophia noticed that she was near her line but not quite.

"This is ridiculous"

"You know what's ridiculous, a twelve year old girl blocking my way! That's ridiculous!"

Sophia whipped her head around but there wasn't anyone there. Whoever said it must have been frighten of how she would act, yes, that was the reason. A push here, a shove there was how the subway worked Sophia soon began to notice this as she made her way to the appropriate line. She noticed the obvious gawking at her outfit of choice, no one understands the importance of looking good these days. Rubbing her arms up and down to keep herself warm with a cup in her hand really didn't work out. Taking a few more sips before she was finally able to board the death contraption. Sophia quickly located a seat, holding onto the railing next to it for safety, as she didn't trust anything or anyone on this thing. As each minute passed Sophia felt sicker, to ease her pain she decided that she would text back Maryann. Having enough elbowroom to fish out her phone was tricky but she managed enough to pressed the Home Button on her phone. Despite pressing it again and again and multiple times after that the screen never came to life, as it should've. This only lead to Sophia becoming more and more frustrated with everything especially the weird guy sitting next to her. His obviously fake glasses and homemade sweater was the least bad thing about him. Her thoughts began to slip away as she felt tired and soon slipped into a nice slumber.

Awaking to the sight of only five other people was beyond strange as there were at least fifty people on the subway cart before she had dozed off. She had no clue who these kids were and she didn't care to find out. She had never seen anyone of them before not even in passing; they most likely weren't from Queens. Her drink had disappeared and she put her money on the weird kid who sat next to her before she closed her eyes. Sophia quickly took off her earmuffs and lowered them to a position that kept them around her neck. Three girls and three guys in total Sophia did a double take on one of the girls. Red hair, but it's almost too red... Sophia's hands went to her natural, red hair braid; this wasn't going to go well. She was fuming with anger, this girl looked kind of like her but a rejected, classic version. Daggers were thrown in her direction her eyes would be fireballs if somehow it became possible. The other girl was a shrimp but cute, like a puppy that you wanted to take home but wanted to get rid of once it became an adult. All three of the guys had brown hair but two of them it varied, one had blonde highlights, and the other was tinted red. None of them caught her interest in the slightest except the one with blonde in his hair. Without a second thought Sophia lowered the zipper on her jacket to fully display herself and all her beauty. She knew that the chills would be worth making anyone jealous of her.

"Why aren't we moving?" Her voice was loud and full of confidence if none of these people would talk then she would do the honors. Craning her neck to peer out the window, Sophia noticed that the landscape was completely boring. There was literately nothing to see out there unless you liked dirt or rocks. Her fingers tightened around her non-functioning phone and Sophia gave a loud sigh. Almost as if her sighing had caused it the subway cart began to creep forward towards their unknown destination. Darkness soon consumed the whole cart Sophia couldn't help but emit a scream as she fell face first into the floor. The cart lunged forward with incredible speed, which seemed to flick on the lights. Sophia was grasping for air as she glanced around the subway. Each one of them had been forcibly knocked to the floor on this runaway subway cart. As if to follow the lights the monitors turned on revealing an unfamiliar face to Sophia which made her cringe. His hair matched the snow she had seen earlier but it was gathered in a ponytail. His facial details became a blur to her, Sophia welcomed what she thought was sleep not unconsciousness.

"Welco..."

Noah Phillips
July 31st, 2012
Manhattan, New York
Leormon.png

"The Forecast for the day is surprising.......Snow all through Manhattan people" Noah slammed down his hand on his radio alarm clock as the man's voice rang through the speakers. A giant yawn, rubbing his eyes and then another yawn, before staring at the radio for a couple of moments motionless as if he had seen or heard a ghost somewhere "Snow....." Noah would never have though four letters would cause so much confusion. "Snow..............in July" Noah checked his phone, and yeah it was the last day of July and worst than that the weather forecast app on his phone was agreeing with the forecast he heard over the radio.

Noah almost couldn't fathom what was happening his summer looked like it was going to get ruined and it was just getting exciting. His phone was ringing off the hook was either his friend Jordan calling to ask about their usual soccer game or one of his brothers asking if everything is fine at home with this weather, but he could only just assume since he wasn't really answering the calls. "SNOW!!" Noah shouted out in major frustration due to the situation but his outburst was promptly greeted by his nanny and a butler bursting in to check on the ruckus that he had made with his screaming.

They both stared on him with a peculiar look on their faces as if looking on a deranged person, he was in the middle of his bed with the same clothes he had on yesterday and that probably added to their suspicious stares. "Ummm I'm fine" Noah said in hopes to calm down the two workers. He gave them a nervous smile but they still looked at him oddly "Breakfast sir" The man asked in a serious tone. "Nah imma take a quick shower and grab a bite outside" A quick nod from the two and they left the room closing the door behind them, and a thankful sigh came from Noah. Him looking outside didn't change anything either it actually probably made it worse, as he got to see for himself his city covered in white.

A quick shower, brushing his teeth and a long look through his closet for something to wear even though he knew he was just going to wear a plain blue t-shirt and his favorite pair of skinny jeans, the only difference is he would have the chance to wear one of those fancy snow jackets his mother always buys him and match it with one of the snow hats as well. He looked himself over in the mirror and saw that it was appropriate enough for him to go outside in this weather, giving himself a wink jokingly.

Rushing downstairs, flinging on his mittens and stepping unto the elevator down. Noah tapped his leg and nodded to the sound of the elevator music, it took a while to reach to the bottom but it was going to be worth it to be in the snow for himself. Ding! The elevator finally stopped and Noah ran through the building lobby pushing the door open and was greeted with a snow falling on his head. The snow wasn't slowing down activities around the city though as the crowd bumped and hit into Noah as he stood there.

Noah sighed before heading off to there hot dog stand near by and even in this temperature his business was striving so guess where Noah was in the kine....the back and it wasn't a short line at all. More delay for Noah but it wasn't like he had any plans especially in this weather. Noah took the time out to check through his phone, even play some fruit ninja while he waited for the line to move forward but there was something else on his phone that caught his eye even more than text messages and missed calls.

Noah knew almost everywhere and everything in Manhattan so one of the oddest things to see was his gps app on his phone flashing as if it was screaming for attention. "Hey kid move up in line" the man rushed him from behind as the space between Noah and the woman infront of him opened up. A few seconds later he was at the front being greeted by the hot dog man as Noah would call him "Hey Noah, the regular?" which Noah quickly responded with a nod and watched as he wiped a jumbo hotdog with cheese and everything on top. "Thanks.....and keep the change" Noah said with a mouthful of hotdog in his mouth as he placed a $10 bill on the cart and followed the directions on his gps.

It was the weirdest thing but it had to have been a joke by on of his friends so why not go along with it and it led to a packed subway station so Noah laughed as he went down the stairs thinking about what they could be planning. Noah kept walking bumping into a crowd of people as he made his way from the crowded subway station into a cramped and crowded subway cart. Noah gets driven most places but experiences with friends had left Noah with experience taking the subway regularly. Noah tapped his phone but it froze up "Great timing" Noah sighed. "Not going to risk this then" if his phone wasn't working there was no point in going on this wild goose chase.

Noah attempted to make his way off the cart but it was more than a futile effort as he was pushed back by a hoard of businessmen rushing unto the cart Noah was trying desperately to leave. The door had shut now so any chance Noah had of coming off were gone but at least he was able to find a seat somewhere in this crowd, and in this cold weather his coat was keeping him warm and toasty leading to him his eyes almost fluttering as if he was falling asleep. Noah slapped himself in the face, no way he was falling asleep on the subway or at least that what he thought since a couple minutes later he was out like a lamp.

When Noah awoke he was one of six children left on the subway, Did they reach the last stop? or was Noah's mind acting crazy? There were a cart load of people on the subway cart and now only three girls and three boys including himself. But there was no movement and outside was completely empty, what to do now and worst of all his phone still wasn't working so Noah decided he would have a look at his ummmm well we will call them subway buddies for now since Noah really didn't know them. They seemed as confused as Noah was, so it was highly likely that they didn't know what was going on either. Suddenly, the cart began to move slowly, but something was wrong, especially as they entered the dark tunnel and everything was pitch black, Noah couldn't see a thing. It seemed like the cart began to move even faster and faster prompting Noah into a weezing panic. The light flicked on and thankfully Noah wasn't the only one in a panic as all of them were scattered on the ground of the cart.

Another light flicked on, this time it was a monitor with a man's face on it with his white hair propped up into a ponytail. Whatever he said though was muffled to Noah in a way especially since he was practically knocked out when the figure began to talk.....

The sun had probably risen by now but in the mental world of Lark Felix it was still dark and semi-starry. Fully dressed, she had been practicing for going on forty-five minutes now and her arms were finally starting to ache. But she had one more song. Just one more... and it was one that she liked. Curse her and her anime and Asian music drowned preferences. They made her sore by the end of the day. It was just another thing to add onto her laundry list of quirks, especially since she still didn't know who Katy Perry was.

Anyway, has anyone ever tried playing a violin while sitting on a hammock? It's pretty difficult. But since her cozy little space was only half a room, she didn't have much to work with. So she swung slightly back and forth, letting the notes bleed out in just the right rhythm.

There was a sudden smack at her window, causing Kit to jolt and have her bow squeak on the note. She winced at the sound and placed her instrument carefully on the case. She had almost broken this old sweetheart of an instrument leaving it on her hammock one day. Heading to the window, Kit's eyes were flooded with falling white like dandruff. The usual musical low that came from that sweet pure concentration burst abruptly with the sight of frozen water and despite it being not even close to her foster father's wake-up time of the dead of noon on days out, Lark squealed loudly.

"Snow!" Jake groaned in his sleep, rolling over with a snort. Her cry was echoed by a chirp from their windowsill. Kit peered to see a sparrow covered in white fluff. "Oh, you poor thing," she cried, gently nudging at it with her finger. It chirped again, looking cold and confused. "You're going to freeze! Come on now, up you get." She gently held out her fingers again, allowing the tiny bird to perch there. Kit then shut the window as quietly as she could, seeing that Jake had fallen back to sleep again. She giggled at the sight of his half-open mouth. "Bugs could fly in the trap~" she sing-songed softly as she went to her one knickknack shelf. A small basket sat there, one of Jake's friends having given it to her for her birthday.

Quickly lining it with paper towels, she allowed the bird to place itself inside. "Here, you can stay here until it stops snowing." Lark marched to the tiny bag of birdseed and placed some in one hand, scattering it around the sparrow. It chirped again and Lark blinked in pure confusion. She smiled a bit and then went to wash up. Time to make breakfast! No eggs today because that would be just rude. Instead it would be grilled cheese with apples and sausage... if Miss Connie hadn't stolen their fruits again. And it wasn't that sausage from the convenience store. Kit wouldn't give that to animals, not to mention the poor homeless people. That was right she had to go to the soup kitchen tomorrow... better make a note... and get a map.

Lark breathed a small sigh of relief as she peered into their fridge. They weren't low on groceries yet. Thank God for small favors. Smiling, she set herself to work. Hopefully this would wake up Jake. He couldn't be lazy today, there was snow! She began to hum to herself as the pan heated up. The sparrow was silently staring at her from where the basket sat on the counter. "I'm not going to make eggs." she told it, working patiently.

"Yes but I'll make cocoa," her guardian told her, rubbing his eyes as he entered the room. "I didn't think we'd have to turn on the heater. I can almost see my breath."

"Maybe you'll make clouds with it," she replied with a tiny smile, flipping over the second sandwich. Jake had already stolen the first one. Turning off the stove, Kit put the pan in the sink, going to eat breakfast. The two of them stood in the kitchen together, Jake playfully examining the bird like he would a sculpture.

The girl squeezed her fox hat tighter over her ears with a shiver. Ooh it was cold! Kit was so happy she had changed clothes. It was so chilly! But the air was crisp and nice to breathe so it didn't bother her too much. She sure felt bad for the birds and squirrels though; they weren't ready for this at all. Kit looked around, wondering where she was planning to go. She had just wanted to go outside...

That was when her phone beeped. Was it a text message? But people didn't text her... usually. She flipped it open and frowned nervously. On her small screen was a map with a dot pulsing at the top. "Um... okay..." Kit wondered where this thing led. Well... maybe if she found out, the place would be nice and warm. So onward she went to... the Subway Station. She kind of liked above ground trains better. You could see the world pass around you instead of just the bricks and everything. But well, it was too late to back out now. Lark had already been caught up in the crowd of workers. She found herself a nice seat in one of the car corners, leaning her head against the cool glass window. As the subway train took off, Lark closed her eyes, delightfully warm again.

Well, even if she was going someplace weird, at least she was in a warm place. Kit closed her eyes and started humming once more.

When she awoke, the subway car was nearly empty and perfectly still. Reflexively, her fingers went to her phone to call Jake and make sure he knew she was okay. Her fingers touched the buttons, but her screen didn't respond. Five others were with her in the silence, one whose red hair was so uncommonly striking Kit couldn't help but be reminded of autumn leaves. It was quite pretty. The other girl was a lot more attractive but... she also seemed rather jealous of the first one. Lark couldn't understand it. The boys... they were a little interesting. She didn't really know what to make of them. Then again, Kit didn't have many romantic experiences.

Abruptly the train began to move. It was slow at first but as they entered a tunnel the speed increased, knocking them all out of their seats. People were panicking, one of them wheezing in the darkness, causing fear to well up in Kit's own chest. "Hey..." she whispered frantically. "Hey... hey relax..." Was he going to have an asthma attack?

That was when a light went on, the light of a large monitor. An old man appeared on screen. For some reason... her head started to hurt at the sight of his white hair. "Welcome," he said. At the sound of that word, Kit felt her head hit the metal floor, her consciousness fading like mist.

Theodora Peppercorn // 31st July, 2012 // Manhattan, New York

ADVENTURE ONE: Part A
Theodora had been awake for a little while now but instead of getting out of bed and being an active teenager like her mother had told her to before she had left for work, Theodora had spent the majority of the morning lying in her bed, warm and snug under her covers. Despite it being Summer vacation, Theodora felt unusually cold. Maybe she was sick? Whatever it was, she felt like staying in her bed and sleeping forever. She had developed the film from yesterday and finished her Summer homework, what other reason did she need to be outside today?

She reached for her phone as it buzzed loudly at her. She quickly inspected it slowly reading the text message she had recieved.

Elissa Calaway >> Eddie Peppercorn: [07/31/12 07:18] Hey! You should come with me to the city today, it's snowing everywhere!

Snowing? So that's why it was so cold. But, wait. It was July! The middle of Summer! What was going on? Did the Earth switch hemispheres suddenly or what? Now this was something she had to see! She finally got out of bed, grabbing some clothes and quickly cleaning her teeth before taking a quick glance at the time (7:43am) and closing the door behind her. Her clothes were appropriate for the weather; long-sleeved baseball tee (her favourite!), skinny jeans, converse shoes, knee high stripey socks (which were hidden under the jeans), a slouched beanie and a cosy peacoat, which she had bought online and saved especially for winter. It looked like it was getting an early appearance!

Eddie Peppercorn >> Elissa Calaway: [07/31/12 07:44] I'm coming in now. I'll meet you in Time Square!

Bzzt! Bzzt!

Theodora checked her phone again, only to notice the GPS app had already mapped a destination; the subway station not far from her house. How convienient, did she leave the voice command on? Not really questioning it, she followed the arrow on her phone until she found herself stepping down the stone stairs of the subway station. Predictably, the subway was jam-packed full of business people doing business-y stuff. It was usually like this, New York was the central hub of busy people doing busy things. She made her way through the subway until she found the appropriate subway stop and boarded the next train. It was, like the subway station, extremely busy so Theodora was counting her lucky stars when she managed to nab a seat right next to the window. Her stop wasn't for a little bit and by the look of the crazed businessmen and women, she wouldn't be able to get off anytime before then anyways.

Ed+8e P?pp#4corn >< Eli$^a Calllll@y: [A!/31\!A $5.95]?Hey, are yodfcodidg iqnyet¿ @@@@@@aa#.-!!

Damnit, not again! If there was something she needed, it was for her phone not to screw up again. As if it could listen to her thoughts, the entire screen went black. Murphy's Law. Oh, whatever. Elissa was probably on her way. It wasn't like her to let anybody down. It was so cosy in this train though, the body heat of five million different people making the cart feel like she was back home under her covers. Mm, how many stops away was she? Maybe if she just had five minutes of rest, she'd feel better. Five... more... minutes...

...

Theodora's eyes flicked open suddenly as if someone had splashed cold water on her face. The first thing she noticed was the complete absense of people on the train, there was now only her and five others around her age. Damnit, how long had she been asleep? Where was she? Did she miss her stop? Was Elissa waiting aroud for her? What time was it? She quickly yanked her phone from her pocket only for a black lock screen to welcome her. Well damn, it still wasn't working.

"Why aren't we moving?"

That was a good question. Eddie, making a face, stood up and tried to get a good look outside. Like a subway tunnel was, it was dark and scary-looking; the only thing she could really see was the bright red gleam of her hair, reflecting off the glass. What was going on? Did she sleep so long that she made it to the end of the line? Where was the end of the line anyways, Paris?

What was confusing her the most though, was that the train was completely empty par from six teenagers. Wait, maybe this was Silent Hill. Or somebody had drugged them on the train!

"Hey, are you guys on dru--"

The train lurched forward and Theodora found herself on the floor, rubbing her face where she had fallen on it. The subway had started to pick up a ridiculous amount of speed as the lights flickered on; Theodora didn't feel so bad knowing that the others had fallen as well. She arched her head up, trying to see what was going on but the force generated by the speed was too much and all Theodora could do was get a glimpse of a gross-looking, old man staring at them through the TV screen. Her sight was going hazy and it was getting too hard to stay conscious.

"Welcome."

Then, she was out.

Adventure One|Part A

"Snow."

The boy's voice was quiet, only audible to he himself. He pressed his olive skinned hand against the glass of the large window that was opposite his door. He felt the coldness seep through the glass and on to his hand, taking his hand back he looked through the hand print he unintentionally carved into the fog on the window down to a snow covered Time Square. His apartment complex overlooked the winter wonderland, he saw all the little ants bundled up and not letting the summer snow fall interfere with their days. The boy sighed, music playing from his ihome that had woken him up five minutes prior, the only reason he stood up so fast was to validate his iphone's sanity. It was indeed snowing in July, and here he was dressed in a white tank top and black basketball shorts, but the cold didn't phase him simply because he was too tired to notice. The boy turned from the window and trudged over to his bathroom, one slow slide of his foot at a time until he found himself in front of his bathroom mirror. The gaping cabinet mirror revealed a stately row of orange pill containers, cologne bottles and tooth paste. The same hand that pressed against the window reached out for the half-full tube of tooth paste and carefully spread it across his toothbrush, brushing and then cupping water from the sink to wash the toothpaste out.

The open mirror was closed with a bang, and reflecting glass showed the seventeen-year old face of Riku Kainoa Graham. Bark brown hair, jagged at end to create his fo-hawk. Alluring hazel eyes, eyes that were just waking up, still. A placid, olive-toned face that wasn't fully conscious, body wearing a white tank top that read; NY'S FINEST in deter print. His room was freezing, but Riku couldn't feel the coolness until he exited the shower twenty minutes later, hair soaking and scalp freezing. He had no time to check his tumblr account, not today. Today was a big day, and no matter how much attention his desk top demanded of him, he would not let the sleek black machine atop his desk make him late.

Today was a very important day.

After taking a few steps into his walk in closet, Riku spent the next half an hour deciding what to wear. After deciding on a stylish navy coat with khaki jeans and white/navy jordan vi sneakers, he hurried over to his desktop where his phone laid charging. The tone alerted him he had received a new text message, one from Tifa Chu, a pretty young chinese girl he met in French class this past year at school. Today, they had agreed to spend a day together out in the city. But to his dismay, Riku's texts weren't getting through to her phone. He sat down at the edge of his bed and tried to call her, sighing upon receiving an error message saying the phone number was not connected.

"I'm stupid, this was probably just some stupid trick." He said to himself and clenched his phone tighter in his fist, he proceeded to walk out of his door after landing a heavy punch against the punching bag he had hanging at one corner of his room. After heading down the stairs he entered his kitchen and was greeted by the sight of his grandmother and younger sister."Good morning grandma," Riku kissed his elderly grandmother on the cheek. She was a tan woman with wrinkled skin, kind hazel eyes and a warm smile that made her look decades younger. "I'm off to do some things, I'll be home in a couple of hours. Ok?" Riku smiled.

"Okay, be safe son. Call when you can." She smiled, and whenever she did Riku couldn't help but smile back.

"Kai! Don't forget the eggs, that cake has been waiting to be made for days now!" Kiana pleaded, placing her two tiny palms together. Riku nodded and headed out the door. He sighed as the snow pushed against him, but he stood strong in the blowing wind. He was glad he grabbed his white scarf before his left, it was keeping his neck nice and toasty. He couldn't believe that the girl he actually became friends with turned out to be a liar, like the rest of man kind. He looked down in disappointment as he trekked through the snow, only stopping to check his phone which was ringing. Expecting a phone call, Riku was surprised to see his GPS app on and directing him to a set destination somewhere past Manhattan. He stopped in his tracks completely now, and staring at his phone. Could this be Tifa trying to contact him, she did recently move to Staten Island. Was she telling him to meet him at her house, regardless of what exactly it meant he was intent on finding out.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

A shove here, a shove there, someone yelling at you, you threaten them, they back off; yup, a typical day at the subway station. Riku hadn't been down here in years, not since he got his licsence. It was kind of melancholic, he remembered the times he and his parents would take the subway to go on a trip to Time Square from Brooklyn. Riku lifted his hood up and pushed his way through the crowds, he had just thrown himself into one of his moods. He usually got like this at the thought of his parents, and after one final shove he had bullied his way into the appropriate subway line. He checked his phone very quickly to check the approximate distance from that point to his destination, but instead his phone would not move. He clicked the home button frantically, but it seemed his phone had broken. Great, the second iphone he had broken. Attempting to exit the subway cart, since there really was no reason to stay on given he had no clue where he was going, he was greeted by the doors swooshing closed. 'Great.' Riku thought. He grabbed tightly on to one of the handles that hung form the poles of the cart and eyed the passengers, all people in suits. This was annoying, he hated the business types, they were very rude. His eyes would land on a younger person now and then, usually standing out because of their colored clothes compared to the dull ones of the suits these men all wore.

His eyes locked on to an empty seat, and determined to seat down before anyone of these as*holes stole it, he lowered his shoulder and charged through the businessmen who were all too busy on their smart phones to notice who had just gut checked them. He safely arrived at the empty seat and promptly stuck in his dre beats earphones, and bobbing his head along to the beat of his music. He let out a short breath, only to amuse himself by staring into the small cloud of air he released. Yeah, boredom had kicked in. He rubbed his hands together, to give him the last bit of warmth he needed to rest. He made sure not to knock out of course, because he needed to get off on the next stop. Only a stupid person would fall asleep on the subway and miss his stop, Riku - was VERY stupid.

His eyes fluttered open to the sight of a barren subway cart, he immediately darted his eyes around. It was like one of those old scary movies where a monster would just attack the lone survivors in this ghost cart. Every scary movie needed a cast of characters, Riku spotted five other of these characters. Two other boys, and they were boys mind you, so Riku didn't spend more than two seconds to notice them. Another was a young girl, very cute - but like in the way a stuffed bear is cute. Then his hazel eyes fell on the sights of two red headed girls, sisters maybe? God knows they didn't go to his school, heaven forbid he had the blessing of at least one attractive girl in his class. But they sure were attractive, one caught his eyes as she revealed her bottom layer of clothing after she unbuttoned her coat.

'Dayummmm!' Riku screamed, the signature two syllable damn that was only used when spotting an overly attractive female. This of course, was all in his head. The other girl wasn't as alluring, but she was the kind of charming girl he would want to take to the movies. Yeah, this subway ghost cart movie Riku was planning in his head would definitely have a possibility for a love triangle. But that was beside the point, he pulled his earphones out from his ears and noticed it was dead quiet on the cart. What had happened, where were they? Did these people know something?

"Where--"

"Why aren't we moving?" The attractive girl cut him off, and Riku just laid back in his chair and let her do her thing. No one answered of course, and Riku himself only shrugged back at the girl. He stood up, towering over the red headed individual and noticed the cart began to move just then. It was very slow at first, the only way you could even notice the cart was moving was because of the scenery outside moving backwards. But that quickly changed as the entire subway cart lurched up to almost super sonic speed it seemed. Riku's knees buckled and he fell to the hard subway floor with a thud, the tunnel they had entered had completely darkened the entire cart. Riku suspected the others in the cart also met the same fate as he did after he heard multiple thuds and screams. He slid to the back of the cart as it continued to speed up, he could feel the skin on his face being pushed back by the force. The edges of his eyes began to tear up, then the monitors on the cart flashed on. An elderly man appeared and smiled, this was no commercial Riku had ever seen. His thoughts began to thin out, until finally he could no longer think.

"Welcome." The old man smiled, his toothy grin - missing a couple of teeth actually - was the final thing Riku saw until the force knocked him out and the world around him faded away.

Silas Jamison
Part A -July 31st, 2012 - Brooklyn

Silas could clearly remember the warm feeling in the atmosphere as he dozed off on the couch watching television. Although he had walked in on his mother asleep on the couch the night before, he was guilty of the same crime after he was done looking over a script for a play he was to star in during the fall semester. It was to be his junior year in high school, meaning that he was officially in the lead spot to star in a fall production. The idea excited him and made him nervous at the same time, but Silas was ready for it. Over preparation, however, got the best of him and he ended up on the couch. He was not sure how he went from the kitchen table to the cushion-y couch, but here he was draped in a blanket.

The warmth was so inviting as it combated against the wintry atmosphere within the house. Wait... wintry atmosphere? Silas eyes opened quickly as he exhaled, seeing his breath oddly enough. His mother left the window open last night, but it was freezing right now! Silas bared his teeth as he wrapped the blanket around his body and went over to the window near the television to close it. "Mom, what's going on outside?" Silas yelled up the stairs as he turned his attention to the television to see breaking news. Before his mother could answer, as she was preparing for work this early in the morning, Silas turned up the volume on the television and tuned in for the moment.

"Again, our breaking news is a sudden winter storm warning that is sweeping across the five boroughs of New York City. Meteorologists are simply unable to explain the supernatural phenomenon particularly during this time of the year. Although New York is not known as a hot city during these times, it is certainly not known as a cold one either. Snow fall has been continuous through out the day and there seems to be no letting up at this time. We will keep you all updated about closings as they are reported to our headquarters. We ask that you please be safe and drive carefully during your commutes to and from work. Thank you!"

With a completely blank stare on Silas's face, he shook his head and said, "This can't be happening, dude." He chuckled to himself as he heard the footsteps of his mother coming downstairs. She was dressed for winter weather certainly: coat, scarf, earmuffs, boots, multiple layers of clothing, gloves, the works! Silas dropped the cover and scratched his head in confusion.

"Well, honey, I'm off to work! Lucky for me it's walking distance right?" She smiled as he quickly walked over to her sole son and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "There's some food in the fridge and the emergency numbers are posted on the freezer in case something happens, okay?"

"Mom, I'm seventeen years old," Silas laughed as he wiped the kiss off his forehead.

"Oh yeah," his mother laughed. "I'm sorry, it's just that I'm so used to saying that when it snows this bad. You're usually in school when it snows. As far as I can remember, it has never snowed in the summer since I've been here."

"First time for everything, huh?" Silas laughed. "I'll probably just roam the city to pass the time. New York's always interesting in drastic moments. Plus, I can get a feel for people's expression during desperate times. Remember that time we went to Wal-Mart during Black Friday? Oh man, they were fighting over towels!"

With a simple chuckle, his mother shook her head and said, "Be safe, honey, and make sure that you call me if something goes wrong. Love you." She shut the door.

"I love you too, Mom," Silas smiled. "Well... I guess I'll see what the city has to offer me today." He headed towards the steps until he noticed his phone still sitting on the ground from when he threw it last night. The phone wasn't particularly old. It was new, but Silas just couldn't understand why it was spazzing out, especially at a time like this. He couldn't call his mother on this thing if it wasn't going to even turn on. It was no use. "Maybe I should go check out the Apple store while I'm out."

-----

After a much needed shower and wash down of his entire body, Silas found himself wondering the streets of Brooklyn. For once in his life, he was wearing December clothes in July: a blue hooded sweater, a black skull cap, blue jeans, black gloves, and brown boots. In his ear were earphones as he was vibing to an upbeat song in his pursuit of the Apples store. Fortunately for Silas, he still had his Nano intact. As he walked down the sidewalks, Silas checked his phone, simply out of habit, and noticed that it wondrously started working again.

"Awesome!" Silas grinned to himself. "I knew it was just overheating. This cold weather isn't so bad after all."

As the phone booted up, Silas tried to quickly press the Message Icon, but the phone reverted to the GPS App. Seeing it as a mishap, Silas tried to press the home key, but it didn't work. The GPS set up a specific destination to a nearby subway station. It was then Silas realized that the Apple store was on the other side of town, so taking the subway probably would have been beneficial for him the first place.

"Good thinking," Silas said to the phone and headed in the direction of the subway station.

Eventually, Silas made his way to the underground station, but boy was it crowded. Eyes widened and slightly startled by the number of people, Silas bobbed and weaved through the people, sort of forcing his will onto the underground locomotive. People shot him annoyed glanced, but Silas simply couldn't miss this one because the next one wasn't for another thirty minutes. It was simply too cold to stand in one spot for too long and he started to shiver at the thought of it. Glancing down at his phone at the GPS App, it appeared to try to reroute his destination, but malfunction and froze. Attempting to force shut down his phone, Silas groaned when it didn't work.

"Yeah, definitely gotta get that checked out," Silas said to himself as he tilted his head back onto the window and closed his eyes saying a silent prayer that he could get things fixed. It was already hectic enough outside with this random snow.

Silas didn't realize it, but he had fallen asleep. Sudden movements caused him to wake up.

"Huh!? What!?" Silas slurred as he sat up, noticing five other people in the cart with him. Clearing his throat, Silas chuckled at them and waved nervously. When did the cart get this empty and had he missed his stop? Silas thought about panicking, but shooed it away. He would probably find some other store, wherever he was. He just hoped his mother wouldn't panic when she found out that he was probably lost.

The people in the cart seemed friendly. There were two other guys who looked his age and three girls, two his age and the other appearing kind of young. As he quickly glanced at them all, he noticed the one dressed in pink kind of give him a look. A goofy smile came onto Silas's face as he opened his mouth to speak as she questioned something, but he fell to the floor as the locomotive seemed to have picked up blinding speed and the aura of the room went into a pitch blackness. This was certainly an interesting day. Silas had hoped that the cart didn't crash.

As he sat up slowly, straining his body, his blurred vision saw an elderly man standing before the six of them.

"Welcome."

Part B
Leormon.png

"Wah!" Noah woke up in a panic and for the first time he didn't wake up and go through the regular routine of constant yawning and eye rubbing. The way Noah's head was twisting and turning in an effort to see around him you would have thought he was going to get whiplash or maybe his head would just snap right off. After a couple minutes of trying to figure out where he was Noah covered his eyes and held his head to the ground "Any body have an aspirin" he joked to himself since nobody was around but a pulsating pain began ringing through his head. It was like Travis Barker was using his head for a drum solo and obviously it was a good one because the pain Noah was feeling was second to none.

When he actually had the chance to collect himself and stand to his feet he finally was able to take in the surroundings. "Don't freak out" Noah repeated this to himself endlessly as he saw a lush forest in front of him in every direction he turned, there were mountains and waterfalls almost as if he was in a jungle "Central Park really has changed" those little jokes were the only thing keeping him sane at the moment and despite how beautiful the scenery was he still was nervous walking through this place.

"How'd i get here" Noah was drawing a blank, it was like when he froze up during one of his test nothing came to mind just darkness. The only odd thing about that darkness was that Noah was floating in the middle of it "If mom was here she would say something about there being some hidden meaning" Noah laughed to himself like a mad man in the middle of the freaking forest that popped up from no where. Noah was never in the boy scouts and neither he nor his friends were keen on playing around in the bush so walking through this place was something new for him.

Noah began making a little check book in his head, there was no civilization in sight, he had no food and water, he couldn't figure out where he was and worst than all of that his stupid phone wasn't working how great was that. What Noah couldn't check off his imaginary list was that he was making headway into this forest as he stopped and stared at a large tree to his left "Didn't i pass this tree like 15 times already" this time he wasn't joking though everything looked the same almost like he was on a loop and to add to the misery, the place was dead quiet like some cruel torture.

"I want to hear some traffic or people fighting in the road" Noah moved from the stage of joking as a form of denial to a stage of moaning, regular for any teen who was just thrown into an unknown jungle when they only expected to play a little soccer that day. Beware of what you wish for, maybe that was a lesson for Noah to learn as the eerie silence quickly plunged into devastating sounds of trees breaking and ground shaking.

Not only was the ground shaking now but so was Noah's body as whatever was causing that mess was coming closer and closer to him. Run? how could he, Noah was rooted to his spotted. The reason for that was 20 percent curiosity and 80 percent fear as to what was coming, it took everything for Noah to not pee his pants especially as a giant black devil like creature tore through the trees and stuck its ugly head out. It didn't take the creature alot of time to tear through the tree blocking his path and now he was devilish face to face with Noah and there was no doubt it had seen him.

Noah, head was moving at a thousand thoughts per second and he could only cringe at the sight at black monstrosity before him dark as midnight and teeth that looked like they could tear through anything and probably could. It look liked some sort of dog but definitely not one that Noah would have wanted in his house but its movements were completely different as he circled Noah a few times moving as fast as a cheetah.

It crawled towards Noah before letting out a large growl and yep that was Noah's sign to get hell out of there. Noah ran like he had never run before, adrenaline was a heck of a thing and at the speed Noah was moving he could have made the US Olympic team with ease. Something odd did happen though, against his best judgement Noah just pulled up and stopped in his tracks and closed his eyes. What was this kid thinking but something stranger was still happening, It was like he was sitting right in front of the heater, a burning sensation began to just take over Noah's body.

His eyes snapped open revealing his bright browns were now sky blue, yeah I'm serious his eyes were a bright sky blue color and all the weirdness didn't end there as the earth under Noah just erupted all at once in a spectacular burst of energy. Cracking whips of colored energy snap in each direction and for some reason Noah couldn't help but just just put his hands straight up in the air like a kid waiting for their present on Christmas day. Did we forget about the monster that was just chasing Noah? nope but his mind was so distant from that, that he didn't even notice that the creature was right behind him one stretch away from actually touching him.

"I've been waiting.." a voice different from any Noah had heard and definitely not his own but the voice felt warm as well and in a blink off an eye the creature was being blasted back and was sent flying from the energy that was surrounding Noah. All he could do now was smile, the energy was invigorating like nothing he had ever felt before and for the first time since reaching this place he was actually not afraid. But good things never do last forever and that energy that made Noah feel so strong, came together to form a single egg that fell into his arms like a little baby.

Everything seemed fine at that moment even though he was still lost at least he wasn't afraid or in danger anymore......Spoke too soon, now there were pounding footsteps coming from the other direction, and all he had as his defense was the egg that sat in his hands, what was he to do with that throw it? It wasn't long till another giant figure stood in front of Noah and although this one looked slightly more pleasant he was still just as intimidating. "You know what you should play basketball, you have the height" Noah joked nervously while slowly backing off from the tall lion like figure approaching and worse than just being a huge lion he also had a sword behind him.

In regular Noah fashion he fell while backing off so now he had this beat standing right over him..great. "Human..." He started with his deep and demanding voice, "How did you get here?" it was extremely strange that it could talk but after what has been happening nothing seemed strange anymore. "Well ummm Lion thing sir" Noah attempted to gather some thoughts and try to form a proper sentence his vision just went all he could see now was the lion man and complete static and even the lion was becoming blurry. Noah was feeling odd, cold and weird and before he knew it everything was black and he fell back to the ground as if being knocked out.

After all that Noah couldn't even believe he could move and even more amazing than that he never thought the floor of a forest could be so cozy and comfortable to sleep on. Noah's eyes opened to the astonishment of waking up in his own bed, in his own house, in his own city. He quickly jumped across his bed to look on his clock which said: July 31, 7:43 A.M. So after everything Noah felt like he just went through it turns out it was still the same day.

Noah got up off his bed, astonished was the only way you could describe him as he paced back and forth in his room trying yo figure out what just happened. "Was i slipped a drug or something" just one of the many theories he was considering. Suddenly sounds could be heard coming from the foot of his bed and as he whipped his head to look he saw the egg, the same egg that he thought was just a dream and now it was opening.

For not the first time today Noah was stuck in his spot and stared on this mystery egg as it shuck.............

ERROR 404: Cannot Be Found...

Adventure One|Part B

Dead.

That had to be it. He was dead. The darkness... That's the afterlife. There was nothing... nothing but sounds. Beautiful sounds too. A forest. The wind blowing through the trees. Small animal noises, though not recognizable ones. Things were so peaceful. What a peaceful existence. But life... Life was good. He couldn't be dead. He hadn't done anything to deserve it. Life! He wanted life again! But the forest was so peaceful... No! No! He couldn't be dead! He couldn't! No! He wanted to live! Life! There were so many things he hadn't done, he was so young!

SNAP!

A loud sound woke him from his conscious slumber. With the snap of a twig, his hazel eyes snapped open, and he saw the sky. So clear, blue with clouds. But if he could see the sky, then he wasn't dead. But this wasn't his home... At least he didn't think so. Something told his this wasn't right, he was in the wrong place. But where was he? The pounding in the back of his head told him not to try and remember, but he had to. Think logically... 'Maybe a better look at my surroundings would help.'

With that thought, he sat up. He muscles felt sore, as though he had been laying there for a long time. It was a small clearing, surrounded by trees. Very lush trees, that extended as far as he could see. He must be in a forest, he decided.

But why? How?

Finally getting his body to respond, he stood up. His back side was covered in grass and some dirt from lying on the ground. He dusted himself off until he was satisfied. On his last pat down, something odd struck him from his pocket. He dug into it and pulled out a phone. No, it was his phone. The image brought back memories... Him on a subway cart, he felt so cold, and scared. Where were these memories from.

Children. That's all he could remember. A couple others. Red heads. Other guys. Little girl. New York.... New York! He was from New York City on a subway cart going somewhere for something, something that must have been very special, judging by his memory. Something odd though. He remembered the subway then... black. The black he thought was his death. Something must be wrong. Was he in a dream? If so, it was unlike any dream he ever remembered. A coma maybe? He couldn't tell. He decided to enjoy whatever it was. He was in a forest, so decided to enjoy it. He strolled along in one direction, listening. Convinced this was some odd dream, he hadn't a care in the world, and loved the stroll. But the further he walked along, the more real it began to feel. His body, the woods. The strange fact he hadn't see any animals in this forest, but could hear odd sounds. Sounds that didn't come from birds or squirrels. His thoughts began to wonder...

What is this strange world? How did I get here? Will I get out? What are these detached memories? Why the hell am I asking all of these questions?

As his thoughts grew more and more paranoid, he continued at a faster rate. The forest seemed to be growing quieter as his thoughts grew more grim. As soon as the forest was almost silent, and the boy was almost at a pace of running, a loud roar froze him in his spot. The sound came from behind him, but he was too scared to turn. At least, at first. The sound of heavy footsteps convinced him to look behind him, his whole body shaking. The sounds was one large black beast with razor sharp teeth. The proud beast, a demon of the forest, clawed at the forest floor, and roared again, rearing up to charge at the boy.

'Think Logically... DAMMIT! There is no time for that, brain!'

The boy jumped to the side as soon as the creature twitched the slightest bit, smashing his stomach into the ground. However, the beast hadn't moved yet, making the boy both look like a fool and an easy target. Just as the black demon began it's actual charge, the boy stood up. It was as though some magical force of will, he was going to stand up against the large, black creature. However, a dull teal light, began to surround him, accompanied by a burning sensation in his chest, just above his stomach. He dared not look away from the charging enemy, but he felt as though he was on fire. This did not slow the demon until the light shone brighter, and shot out to the charging behemoth, stopping him in his tracks, and then knocking him flat on his back.

Waiting... So much waiting... I'm waiting for you.

A voice from beyond spoke in his head... Had it? The boy wasn't sure he hadn't made it up. Or that the light was confusing him. The light... The boy was amazed. He had controlled none of that, just as he was not controlling his arms nestling into a cradled formation. The light then focused into an odd oval shape, one that could only be associated with an egg. The light shone bright, blinding the boy for a moment, then a weight his his arms. When he looked down, he saw a teal egg. The color matched that of the glowing aura, as well as marked with darker teal zebra pattern.

'It's... Beautiful. Is this an egg? How did it just app-'

The boy's thoughts were cut off by a sight that one could only fear of. A lion, towering over him with a giant blade. At least, the man looked like a lion. Straight out of a battle, he seemed, tattered black pants covering his bottom stained with mud. It was as though he too has been running for his life just moments ago. Sweat dripped from his brow. The boy looked at the towering figure, but would not start the conversation. The beast's eyes got wide at the sight of the boy and the egg. His deep and demanding speech was slightly jabbled together with his breathe, but the boy could understand.

"A human! An egg! How did you get that?" He asked, stepping forward closer to the boy.

"I, I mean, I don-" The boy tried to respond, murmuring.

"No time!" The beast roared. He lunged forward at the boy, only to freeze as he extended his paw to grab him. The boy felt his grip tighten on the egg in his hands as the world became grey and fuzzy, until it began to flicker and soon die out. He felt his body slam onto the cold forest floor, he felt the soft gentle leaves under neath him. He could not see a thing, only darkness, like when he first arrived here. But his body still worked, yes, it had to. He twitched his foot, and soon after completely turned over.

Just like that, his eyes began to work again. The cold forest floor, covered in fallen leaves and moist dirt had morphed into the soft, blanketed mattress in his bedroom. Riku bolted upright and whipped his head around in panic. 'My, this is, my room...' He took a good look at himself, black basketball shirt and a white tank top. He quickly turned his head around, remembering a quick way to check back in to reality. He checked the time and date on the ihome next to him on his computer desk: July 31, 7:43 A.M. His hazel eyes widened, and his breath became shallow.

"A dream."

No, it couldn't have been. He sat down on his bed, and after running his hand through his dark hair he fell on to his back and sighed. Extending his hands to feel more comfortable, his left palm slapped on to something hard and warm. He looked over, nestled within his blankets was a teal egg. Riku couldn't move, frozen in what he could best describe as losing his f*cking mind. He slowly made his way on to his bed completely, folding his legs atop each other and examining the egg from across the mattress.

That's what it trembled, and hatched...

Silas Jamison
Part B -??? - ???

"Golly... that definitely was an interesting subway ride. Mom's gonna kill me if I'm fortunate enough to make it out of this. Why is it so dark anyway?" Silas mumbled these thoughts to himself. One minute he was getting on a crowded subway train and the next he was in the cart with five other people who were just as confused as he was about what happened. Before he knew it, the train had moved in such a violent manner that they all hit the deck. Silas wasn't sure about the other members of the subway, but he knew that he blacked out purely off the brute force that the subway train had exhibited upon take off. The pain in Silas's head wrung violently as he as he sat in the darkness.

"Wait a minute... my eyes are closed," Silas mentally face-palmed himself as he opened his ocean blue eyes. He wasn't in a familiar place, that was for certain. New York was experiencing a snow storm at the moment and here Silas was in the midst of a beautiful climate. It felt so real to Silas that the only explanation was that it had to be dream. However, dreams never felt like this, even his wildest one. There were large mountains, a waterfall, and a forest that lay a few feet in front of Silas as he sat up, shaking his head and dusting himself off. "I guess I'm not in Brooklyn anymore huh?" Silas chuckled, referring to a popular line in the Wizard of Oz. He pretty much felt like the character he portrayed, the Scarecrow in that he had no clue, no brain about what was currently going on right before him.

Standing to his feet, Silas let out a struggling groan, but managed to maintain his composure, standing firm now. "The best thing to do now is to try to figure out where the hell I am," Silas said to himself as he reached into his pocket to pull out his iPhone. To no avail. The phone was completely useless at this point and Silas only saw fit that he try to find some form of civilization to help him get home before his mother did. She had probably called him, texted him, and left voice messages worried sick about him. He wasn't a mama's boy but his mother was definitely a son's girl, if that made any sense. "Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to walk around. Never know who's around unless I look," he said, looking back towards the mountains and the waterfall. His body was too physically tired to climb, so walking was his next best option and the forest before him was his only path.

Just as Silas decided to walk forward, a loud roar shook the foundation of the forest as several twigs and branches snapped off the trees and dispersed every which way. Silas shielded his eyes as he grunted at the sudden pick up of wind and when it settled down, he dropped his right arm and noticed something that was quite extraordinary. Rows of trees burst open as a pair of monstrous black claws tore them apart and a devilish had poke its way out. Silas raised a brow, frightened but in disbelief, "What the hell? Ah this is crazy!" He though about running for it, but he decided to stay a little longer to observe the creature trying to fight its way out of the forest. It appeared to be stuck between two trees. Its skin was as dark as midnight and its teeth were as sharp as blades. As it struggled, it looked up and saw Silas standing there. Breaking free of the tree, the monster crawled around, pointing its snout in the air. It had the appearance of a large, rabid dog, but it moved like a lightning quick cheetah. Just as it was free, it growled and darted towards Silas, causing his adrenaline to kick in and run in the opposite direction towards the mountains.

Tripping over his own feet, Silas quickly cursed himself for having the luck of those dumb women in the horror movies. Quickly hopping up, Silas faced his doom by turning to the monster. Clenching his fists, there was no wear to run now and Silas was prepared to wrestle with death. Just as the beast fully approached him, Silas felt a burning sensation in his skin as he yelled out in shock. His eyes shutting tight, he opened them as they changed from ocean blue to a sea green color. The energy from his body caused the earth to rumble and erupt all at once. Silas didn't know what was going on, but it felt warm and safe. The beast grew scared of this sudden burst of energy from Silas. His hands slowly lifted up as Silas could hear a voice in his head, "I've been waiting..."

Once the voice went away, the energy flowing around Silas launched the beast back at least twenty feet past the broken trees and the energy concentrated onto his palms. Gaining control over himself, Silas looked at what he had just did and stared at his palms. "What the... I... I've never felt this kind of energy before," he said, a shocked smirk appearing on his face. The energy extracted from Silas hands as it formed and shaped into an oval... it looked like an egg! The egg floated securely into his hands as Silas floated down to the ground. "Wow... it's an egg. A big one at that. Imagine all of the egg sandwiches we could make, man."

Silas didn't realize it, but pounding footsteps were heard behind and he quickly turned around to see a lion... man standing about five yards away from him. It had a long, flowing mane and... yeah, it's snout definitely indicated it was a lion. Silas laughed a little and lifted one hand, shaking his head, "A'ight man you win. You're a wakling Mufasa. That's my laugh for the day." Silas looked up at the creature. It had to be at least seven feet tall, an enormous blade was hanging off his back.

"Silence!" the lion beast said quickly.

"I'm chill, I'm chill," Silas said smoothly.

"Human... How did you get here?" the lion beast started, his voice deep and demanding an answer from Silas.

"Your guess is as good as..." Suddenly, Silas's vision went grey. His body went cold and numb. Silas could still see the lion, but everything else broke up like an old television with white noise. Soon, everything went black and Silas fell backwards, the cold forest floor around him.

Wanting to move to see if he was still alive, Silas turned to his right and realized... he was laying in his bed. Blinking his eyes as he stared at the alarm clock on his nightstand, July 31 7:43 AM, Silas groaned, burying his face in his pillows. The dream felt so real, he just knew it was real. It was just a few hours ago it was snowing in New York. "It was a dream... I knew it was too good to be true," Silas laughed at his naive thoughts. Sitting up in his bed, Silas stretched as he got out to go to the bathroom. Once he came back from using it and brushing his teeth, he rubbed his hair and as he stood in the doorway, "I guess I'll get dressed."

He headed toward his bed before stopping, goosebumps appearing on his arms as he noticed a sea green egg at the foot of his bed, wobbling back and forth. Jaw dropped, Silas fell to his knees as he slowly moved his hands toward the egg, "It... it wasn't a dream?" Then, the egg started to hatch...

Sophia

July 31st, 2012 - Part B

Starbucks. Classic. Snow. Ouch. The only words that swirled around in Sophia's head were these four and she wasn't sure why. Her body lay stretched out across the ground shaking in fear. Wait, what am I be afraid of? Sophia thought. She stood up quickly which only made her head that much more dizzy. Gathering herself she placed her hand on the nearest thing, a tree. Her eyes flew open, there weren't trees like this in Queens and soft ground like this either. A hand went into her jacket pockets only to found her cellphone. Pushing the Home Button on her phone seemed to do nothing. What was she wearing? Some pink earmuffs around her neck, a same colored pink jacket, which was now open. It exposed her low cut tank top and her really short shorts, Cuuute, Sophia laughed. For the first time since she woke up she looked at the environment around her. It was a stunning view, mountains, a beautiful sky, a waterfall and in that moment Sophia knew this place couldn't be real.

"There's no place this beautiful in New York. Where am I?" Her voice was soft as she made her way from the place she was standing.

Anyway she turned it seemed to take her back to the place where she woke up at. It was obviously the same place because her body had made an impression in the dirt. Sophia scratched her head pondering what her next move would be. The ground began to shake furiously as if it was jumping up and down. She took hold of the nearest tree and held onto it as if her live depended on it. The land ceased its moving and Sophia looked across the landscape for anything. A rustle in the nearby bushes caught her attention but it soon stopped. Curiosity got the better of her as she went to go investigate the shrubbery. As she got closer a deafening sound erupted from above her as if to warn her she was getting too close. Clasping her hands on her ears then she noticed her earmuffs and replaced her hands with them. Unfortunately the noise could still be heard but not to the extent as it had been without them. A shiver ran down Sophia's spine, she had heard that roar before… on Animal Planet! It was the sound of a pissed-off wild dog and that was not something she wanted to be around.

Black paws emerged slowly from the bush with claws fully extended. Accompanying it was a large, black head with a mouth full of razor sharp teeth waiting to devour anything in its path. The rest of it's body slowly followed after as it jumped from the ground into the branches of a tree. Its eyes seemed to be only black with no pupils, which scared Sophia to no end. Suddenly she remembered she had been on a subway with many people then five people and now she was here with no people. There wasn't a subway station in sight so how exactly did she end up her? Her memory was slowly coming back but the gap between the subway and here wasn't filling in. This was the wrong time to be remembering such events, as a large rapid dog that wanted to eat her was stalking her at this moment.

"Now, doggy you don't want to be made into a scarf, do you? You're black but I'm sure we can dye that awful fur of yours pink!" Sophia held her hands out in front of her as if they were really going to protect her. The lion seemed to sense the fear in her and in with that decided to attack her. Sophia knew she didn't want those sharp teeth touching her brand new jacket. From deep inside herself she noticed something changing she felt different, she felt empowered. The feeling flowed through her and washed over her skin, the lion was almost to her. Her eyes flew open to reveal a deeper green than her original color and suddenly she was surrounded by light, energy, she was safe. Sophia raised her arms as the energy swirled around changing colors every so often.

"It's time for you to feel true power," Sophia's voice was full of confidence as she brought her hands down in one swipe. Seeming to reaction to her movements the energy slammed into the beast throwing it back at least twenty-five feet. Its body cleared several trees branches amongst other things.

"I've been waiting for you," The mysterious voice snapped Sophia out of her trance and everything seemed to turn back to normal. The energy flowed together one final time in her hand revealing an egg in its place. It was one of the most beautiful sights she had ever seen but was soon interrupted by the creature returning.

"I'm warning you, that wasn't a one time thing!" Her bluffing needed some work as the nervousness was apparent in her voice.

"Human," This creature was different, it wasn't the same demon beast she had just blasted back earlier. This one was more majestic, the king of the jungle, a lion. It's mane was such a beauty sight to behold as it shifted onto two feet.

"OKAY! Stop, stop right there. You're a talking, walking lion with a SWORD?!" Sophia backed up running into the tree that was behind her.

"How did you get here? Tell me!" Its voice was demanding as if it wasn't expecting to see a human here, ever.

"I got to—" Her vision swirled all the colors together but the humanoid lion was still crystal clear. She couldn't feel her body, which caused her to fall backwards onto the forest floor. Sophia rubbed her eyes and rolled over to her left side and to her surprised landed her on the floor. Her eyes opened instantly, she was lying on her bright, pink mat and she was in her room. Sophia laughed, she knew that whole thing had to be a big dream there was no way there was a talking lion man. Her clocked showed 7:43 AM and the date underneath it was the 31st of July. It was as if she feel asleep after she did her morning routine which was weird because she didn't remember laying down. She reached out for her cellphone that was still on the bed but felt something hard instead. Sophia gathered herself from off the floor and looked down at her bed seeing the egg.

"What the f—" Before she could finish her sentence the egg began to crack open.

Currently Playing: N/A

Ever been in a drum circle? Kit liked those, noisy beautifully fun things they were at festivals. What she never anticipated however, was her head feeling like one being hit by the incessant start to fortissimo-the ultimate crisis. She didn't want to open her eyes, not now. However, her nose could still sniff, and the air was nothing like the city. It smelled more like the park, except without the underlying tint of gasoline. Where am I that could make that smell? Reluctantly, Kit forced her steel-blue eyes open.

"Mewri~!"

Her exclamation made the trees around her shift, as if the creatures inside had been woken from their own sleep. Kit winced after her own cry, placing a hand gently on her temple. It felt like it was throbbing off of her skin. Oops... I shouldn't do that...After a few minutes, Lark placed her hand back on the ground and opened her eyes to her surroundings. They were as beautiful as she had glimpsed them the first time. Trees and waterfalls... nature in its purest form.

"Mewri~" Kit cried again, softer this time, unable to stop herself. "Beautiful~" Indeed, it put paintings to shame, even those of the professionals she had seen over the years. There really was nothing like natural beauty. "Wait..." she thought aloud. "How did I... get here...?" The pain pulsed in her head and she winced. Blackness... she had been floating in a sea of it, like someone had launched her into space without a suit. But from where... where had that been from...

The train...

Ah that was it... she had been on a train... a crowded train... and then... there had only been five others with her. And the subway had started going really fast and she had hit her head... Maybe it crashed somewhere, she thought to herself. Well... what about those other people? Maybe they were hurt somewhere. Well... then again. Kit looked herself over for any injuries. If that had happened and somehow she had flown all this distance and only ended up with a headache, they were probably fine. Besides... where would she start to look? She wasn't very good with directions...

As Kit pondered her next step, the air then trembled with a roaring howl, the trees trembling with the force of large paws snapping them like toothpicks. "Ah... what... what kind of..." It sounded like a dog, a very large, very angry dog. Has she woken it up? Oh no... Kit anxiously began to scramble backwards but the large beast broke through into the clearing. She felt her body freeze up. That... thing.... it was going to get her. IT was going to get her and kill her and eat her bones...

Wait... The oddest thought occurred to her. Aren't I dreaming? Isn't this just supposed to be a happy dream? My life now... aren't I just on that bed refusing to wake up? Does this make this... the end of my dream? Before her mind could formulate an answer, the black beast charged toward Lark's tiny, easily chewed up body. Kit turned away reflexively, eyes squeezing shut in preparation for a lot of pain...

The pain did arrive... but it was a burning, a welcoming fire ripping through her and forcing Kit's eyes open wide. They aren't her normal steel blue, but silver, gleaming like a new sword in the sun. Beneath her feet, energy crackled and burst, whips of silver light slashing the air. Kit lifted her arms and found herself smiling. There was nothing to fear.

The dream wasn't over yet.

As if in sync with her thought, the whips struck the beast and sent it flying back. IT shattered the trees behind it, crashing further out of sight.

Then a voice, a mixture of barks and delighted whines, resounded softly in the furthest reaches of the lilac-haired girl's mind. Yet she knew what this meant... So long... I've been waiting... for you... The light began to ebb, focusing to surround her arms and spread once more. It formed a large silver egg striped pink. Without thinking, Lark hugged it to her chest. It was warm... strangely warm.

"Human." She jumped and looked to her right. A large lion stood before her, but... but it was on its hind legs. It glowered down at her, one of its meaty fists clutching a large sword the length of its arm. "Human," it growled again, making her quail where she stood. "How did you get here?"

Kit inwardly wailed. She didn't have the answer to that. How could she? When she opened her mouth however, she couldn't form these words. Lark's vision began to fuzz and she fell back. As her arms became limp, a single thought entered her mind: the egg... The gentleness of the leaves on the ground couldn't protect and Lark rolled er body over to grab it...

And fell out of her hammock.

"Ow..." she murmured, rubbing her head. Above her, her clock read: July 31st, 7:43.

"You all right there kitty cat?" Jake's voice, distant but well remembered, filtered from the other side of their apartment.

"Uh-huh, just dozed off!" Yeah that was it... I was just dreaming...Kit reflexively reached for her phone and her fingers brushed something else. That something was wobbling. Looking over, she saw the familiar egg.

"Eh..." It began to crack.

Theodora Peppercorn // 31st July, 2012 // Manhattan, New York

ADVENTURE ONE: Part B
Waking up felt not as great as it felt when Theodora woke up that morning. She had woken up in a warm and cosy bed and an empty house. But now? A forest? How the hell had she gotten here? There was... darkness? That was seriously she could remember at the moment. With a gentle grunt, Theodora lifted herself up to her feet, inspecting the scene around her. Mountains and waterfalls and really nice looking trees. Like she had woken up in a painting or some kind of fairy tale. Theodora had never been anywhere outside New York; her parents could not afford a holiday, so New York was their permanent home and holiday.

She pulled her phone out to see if her mother was reachable (as much as she hated disturbing her parents as they worked, it was kind of an emergency) but alas, the phone was still broken. Might as well sus this situation out. Theodora started to wander but everything looked and felt the same. That tree had the same moss marks like the one before it. It almost felt like a video game when level designers were too lazy to create more than one layout for a tree. Theodora stopped though when she heard an enormous snap coming from... over there? It wasn't all that clear. The question was answered when trees were pushed apart to her left and a very scary looking creature emerged, also quite appropriate for a video game. Theodora, who couldn't believe her eyes, reacted probably a little inappropriately, looking for her camera to take a photo. When she found none, she stepped back. The monster had obviously noticed her and let out a deafening roar.

The creature lunged and Theodora did nothing but pull her hands to her face. As if it was acting on her will, the ground below her shook and whips of pink energy light whip things flailed about. Was this her power?

"This is a video game!" Theodora said a little too happily and pushed her arms forward, launching a beam of light and knocking the beast back to whence it came.

I've been waiting...

"Who was that?" Theodora flicked her head around to try and catch the voice but saw noone. The energy reacted though, sinking back and materialising into a oval shape... an egg! Theodora caught the egg in her palms and felt its cool shell. Was this an ostridge egg? A flamingo egg? Maybe... a dragon egg! What a crazy game.

Another set of footsteps came from her left again and a humanoid lion appeared in front of her, looking quite stern. The thing Theodora noticed and loved most was that the lion had an enormous blade hanging over its back. Was this her mentor? Maybe she was brought up by lions?

"Human..." the lion sounded too stern to be glad to see her. "How did you get here?"

"Me?" Theodora put a hand on her chest, as if there were more humans around that this giant lion could be talking about. Before he could answer sarcastically like Theodora expected him to, she felt dizzy all of a sudden and the entire went grey save for the lion. Then, everything felt cold and it was hard to move. When Theodora turned herself to her side to help herself up, she was lying on her own bed, dressed like she was before she had left. What was going on? What just happened? Was that like, a dream? Yeah, it had to be. Inception. First, she dreamt that she was on a train and then she dreamed that she was in a forest. It made perfect sense. Now, she was back to reality. Maybe she needed a spinning top or something.

Elissa Calaway >> Eddie Peppercorn: [07/31/12 07:44] Hey, are you coming or what?

Theodora frowned, about to reply. That was, until she saw the egg at the end of her bed, the very same from her dream. She leant forward, about to touch it when there was a snap and a thick crack lined the egg. Oh dear.

Eddie Peppercorn >> Elissa Calaway: [07/31/12 07:45] Raincheck. Maybe another time?

Setting| The point where Manhattan's east coast meets Queen's west coast, an abandoned trolley railway station. The day is August 1, 2012, a sunny day with a gentle breeze. Very mild weather, but gentle snow falls among these abandoned trolley carts. Dotted with flickering lamp posts, these carts are scattered among several railways and nothing more...no living thing around.

Part A| It's been an entire day since your egg hatched, you're now left to care for a tiny alien baby that can you can hardly communicate with. It doesn't talk much, in fact it doesn't make any sounds at all. It fights occasionally with your house pets, if you have any, and releases some of its harmless attacks on to you. Hiding it from your family has been difficult, but occasionally stuffing it in to your closet or pretending its a stuffed animal you casually toss about can't cause too much harm to it. Left with so many questions from the day before, you scour the internet to search for any information on the creature you care for. But no luck, you do however find information on those other kids in the subway cart with you. You're not completely 100% sure, but from the looks of them you almost completely positive its them. You're creeping is interrupted when you hear a small ring tone from your phone, but that's impossible. You go and check, yup, you're phone is still broken, you call it officially dead as of 10:45 this morning. You inspect your phone one last time, you're alien baby thing by your side when suddenly it springs to life. Happy days! You're expensive smart phone is alive, but something's not right. The usual home screen doesn't spring to life, no, an unusual icon of an 8-bit looking dinosaur in a capital 'D' appears. As soon as the icon disappears, the entire screen burst into a flurry of colors. Just then, your baby alien's eyes spring open and it floats in mid-air. You don't know what to freak out about, your phone being its own professional grade light show, or the baby alien you've been taking care of floating in the middle of your room. Your phone immediately zips up and is engulfed into a sphere of light, as does the baby. These two orbs come in to contact with each other and immediately shatter, as if the spheres of light were glass. Both objects had completely transformed, your smart phone changed in to a colorful foreign device. It looked like a phone, but you could sense it was something different. Something much more powerful. The small, chubby ball of alien you've been harboring transformed in to a completely different being. It evolved it seemed, because it still had the same general characteristics...only it was bigger. You're phone, or rather this device it has changed in to, began glowing and activated to reveal a screen full of apps. One opened automatically to show a small LCD image of the creature before you, showing some basic statistics of it apparently. Just what was this thing you held?

"Digivice." The creature spoke, after a short freak-out the creature explains it is a Digimon from a different world and that what you held is a special tool known as a Digivice given to those chosen by their destiny to help the Digital World from an unspeakable horror that is to come and ask for your help. You explain you owe nothing to this Digital world, you were from Earth, you're an American. Not some Digimon. You're refusal was cut off by a ring tone from your Digivice, one of the application icons was flickering. It was the map, and once you tapped it a map of New York appeared. A pinpoint was pointing on your direction, while there were five other pinpoints pointing at other places in the city. Each a different color, colors of our emblems, and one last one pointing to Staten Island. You've never been there before, but this pinpoint was pitch black and pulsated, so it must be important. If this was all coming from this Digivice thing, it must mean you HAD to go. Maybe it was where you could drop off this stupid Digimon and rid yourself of this entire fiasco, so you head off.

Part B| Stuffing the Digimon into a bag of some sort, or in your jacket, or somewhere where no one would freak out, you walk down the streets of New York. The city is bustling with activity yet again, just a typical day, and given the incident yesterday regarding the subway, you're a little hesitant to head down there again. But your Digimon reassures you everything will be okay, and there was something about their voice, but you could immediately trust them with your life even though you had just met. You walk down in to the bustling subway station, uneasy, and look for the subway cart heading to Staten Island. You board it, and everything is normal...so far. You get off the subway train only to find yourself in Southern Manhattan. But you soon remember it takes two subway trains to get there, this first stop is where the carts from Central Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens meet before a single cart rides off to Staten Island. You exit your subway cart and wait for the next one you have to take to arrive, the station is bustling with businessmen and families trying to get from point A to point B. Dozens of papers scattered across the ground of this station, so much activity, so much life, and just in the blink of an eye...it was all gone. The papers once scattered on the floor now flutter in the air, and all those people gone in an instant. Save for five others, the ones from yesterday's subway ride. But just like that, all the people were back, they continued to flicker on and off like an old faulty light bulb. Until finally your subway cart rolled up, and everything stayed normal, the people were running about and the noise of everyone's voices drowned together into one large incoherent murmur was back. You look around for those others, to see if they were heading to the same place you were. Just then, everyone flickered away, nothing but you six in this subway cart alone...again. >begin interaction<You digimon comes floating out of hiding and explains you all have digimon! You've all been chosen for the same purpose, but you're still not completely on board with this whole idea of saving their planet. You all have questions, and talk amongst each other, it seemed as if yesterday's events were repeating themselves, as if it were the same. But you feel a chill run down your spine, suddenly everything became cold, you could see your breath and the windows of the subway cart begin to frost over. You all turn your heads to the opposite side of the cart, there stood a dark cloaked figure, standing tall and quiet. His piercing purple eyes locked onto the subway cart floor...not saying a word. Your digimon immediately jumps in to action alongside the other five digimon, this figure was the enemy apparently, and your digimon didn't hesitate to spring in to action. If this little creature could stand up to such a menacing enemy, were you a coward for not wanting to? Your little digimon begin their flurry of attacks, and your Digivice sounds off. You check it, and notice a short list of...attacks it seemed. But before you could even get a chance to study this, the enemy snaps his head up and with a flick of his hand, everything began to vibrate and your digimon comes floating back in to your hands. Suddenly, you found yourself not in a subway cart, but someplace else. This place was barren of life, abandoned, several lamp posts flickering on and off. It was now night time, and snow fell, you were cold...so very cold. You've never been here before, but it was in Manhattan, you could see every borough if you turned in a complete circle. From Queens, to Brooklyn. The figure stood there yet again, not making a sound. Questioning it didn't seem to draw a reply either, suddenly it looked up.

"You say you're Americans, yet you needn't bother yourselves with the problems of Digimon. Don't you see brothers, these humans...they don't wish to help you, they wish to abandon you." The figure's voice was cold and lifeless, it sent chills down your spine, and you kind of wish it hadn't had talked.

"NO!" Babydmon spoke out.

"These humans, they're our friends!" Nyaromon gritted his teeth.

"We're bonded together by destiny!" Xiamon pounded her paws on to the ground.

"Doesn't matter if they won't help us!" Frimon hissed.

"We'll lay down our lives for them!" Chapmon flapped his little flippers.

"Against anyone!" Tanemon reared up.

"Even you." Babydmon snorted out small embers, and the six little digimon sprung in to action. You try to help by shouting out some commands, but it seemed every little attack only bounced off the figure. Was there any hope in defeating this villain, soon enough the figure raises a hand and deflects all six of the tiny digimon back on to the ground.

"You humans don't seem to grasp the situation entirely well, you WILL come to the Digital World." Why would this villain want the Digidestined to go to the Digital World where they would ultimately try to defeat this evil villain? According to your digimon, you mission is to destroy him.

"Virus Digimon, such as myself, your Earth is our playground!" The villain raised both arms into the air, the cloak falling down its arms and revealing long grey arms covered in gold gauntlets. "At the snap of my finger, I could have a plane crash down on to you beloved city. I can have a nuclear missle begin World War III. Anything my little heart desires, now tell me humans; if you truly are Americans, is this not the Home of the Brave...? Where is your courage? I see no brave ones here." These villains words strike you, were you really a coward for not wanting to help this Digimon at first. 'The home of the brave?' These words echo in to your head before you notice one of the old abandoned trolly carts roll up.

"Board the trolly, and come with me to the Digital World, where you are destined to be."

After a few minutes of contemplating, Riku Graham boards the trolly with Babydmon. Followed by Eddie Peppercorn and Nyaromon, then Kit Felix and Xiamon, Noah Phillips and Frimon, Silas Jamison and Chapmon, and finally Sophia Avell and Tanemon. The figure floats over and stand behind you all, he places his arms around you as you look into the city, the front windshield was large enough where everyone could overlook the entire city as they floated off in to the sky.

"...For the Land of the Free..." The figure sang. You feel uneasy, hearing this national anthem sung by something of such pure evil. You hear rumbling all around the trolly cart, what seemed like jet engines flew overhead, you cover your ears and see a v-shape of fighter jets zoom over New York City. As the jets fly over the city, countless bombs dropped. You watch your city burn to the ground, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, everything hit by the countless bombs. You watch in horror, you don't know what to do, what to say. You immediately enter a tunnel of light and binary code, still shocked at what just happened.

"...And the Home of the Brave..." He sang.

The past twenty four hours certainly was an interesting one for Mr. Jamison. He went from the whole fiasco on the subway, to having the most realistic dream, to nurturing an alien species. Silas loved when random things happen, but this was just something straight out of Area 51. The egg hatched yesterday morning into an, admittedly, cute little ball of alien gooey slime. It was an off white looking creature with cute baby eyes and a wide smile when appealed by the littlest thing. Silas wasn't sure what to call it, nor did he even care to name it, but the creature took an immediate liking to Silas. After hatching Silas spent most of his day playing with the creature whether if it was fetch, tickling it, talking to it, or even getting it TO talk. However, to no avail. The creature appeared to be mute, but at least it was not trying to terrorize his room. It was a rather obedient creature... only that it was a hungry little fellow. Silas pretty much fed the little guy everything seeing as how it ate one of his favorite shirts when Silas didn't realize that the constant bouncing up and down meant it was dinnertime. He learned his lesson fairly quickly.

Fortunately his mother spent most of her time working at this hour, so Silas took it upon himself to try and find some kind of top secret science report that could possibly help him figure out what was this creature that hatched from the egg he received yesterday. "Let's try... alien slime ball," Silas muttered to himself while the creature bounced around the room happily from wall to wall. Nope, no efficient results. "Okay, how about alien gooey creature..." Nope. "Hmm... how about cute ball of rubber liquid?" Negative. "Ugh!" Silas slammed his head on the desk of the table before laughing at himself when the creature wiggled over to Silas and climbed his back, resting on his shoulder, still remaining mute. Silas lifted his head and smiled a little at the creature and said, "I don't know what the heck you are dude. Do you have any idea what the heck you are?" Silence. "Can you even speak?" Silence. "You want food?" The creature smiled brightly and immediately began bouncing around the room rambunctiously at the sound of hearing the word 'food'. "Well... at least it knows what food is. Gotta respect that... haha."

Shaking his head while the creature bounced around the room, Silas turned back to his computer screen and pulled up his Facebook page to see what was going on. To his amazement, he noticed on the "People You May Know" tab five familiar faces lined up vertically on the sidebar. They were the five children he saw on the subway yesterday! With a stern expression on his face, Silas tilted his head and began investigating: "Eddie Peppercorn, 17 years old. That's the red head. Kit Felix, 14 years old. Isn't she too young to have a Facebook? Noah Phillips, 16 years old. Looks like a cool guy. Riku Graham, 17 years old. That was the definitely the tall guy. Sophia Avell, 17 years old. Okay, I definitely remember her... she's the gorgeous one." In the process at marveling at Sophia's picture, Silas instinctively reached for his phone when he heard it ring. Wait a minute... it was working? He picked the phone up quickly, dodging his bouncing creature and noticed that... it was still not working. "I'm definitely hearing things..." He laughed at himself. Suddenly, the screen of the phone turned on and an unnusal icon of an 80bit looking dinosaur in a capital 'D' appeared. As soon as the icon disappeared, the entire screen burst into a flurry of colors, causing Silas to instantly drop the phone onto the edge of his bed. Just then, the creatures eyes widened as it started to float in mid-air.

Silas didn't know what the heck was going own or what was worse, that his phone was magically working or that his baby alien was spiraling in the air as if partaking in some sort of exorcism. Suddenly, his iPhone swooped into the air and was surrounded by spheres of light as well as the creature. When the two objects came into contact, the spheres shattered like glass. "Poyomon digivolve to... Chapmon!" Both objects had completely transformed, Silas's phone changed into a sea green foreign device. It looked like a phone, but Silas felt something different about it. Something much more powerful. The alien, whose name apparently was Poyomon given the words Silas heard it say, had seemingly evolved into some sort of... green looking baby sea monster. It was just as cute as its previous form to Silas. However it was much bigger than it was before. Silas's phone, or whatever it was, began glowing and activated to reveal a screen full of applications. Silas picked up the phone and noticed that one app automatically opened, showing a small LCD image of the creature, showing some... statistics? What the heck was this about?

"That's a Digivice," the creature spoke, resting in the middle of Silas's bed.

"A what?" Silas said quickly. "So you CAN talk..."

"Yeah, dude," the creature said again. "I'm a Digimon... which is short for Digital Monster. I'm from the Digital World. What you have in your hand is a special tool known as a Digivice called the D-Touch. Digivices are given to those chosen by destiny to help the Digital World from an unspeakable horror. Something bad is approaching and it is your destiny to help save the world, Silas."

Silas head was down as the creature began explaining to Silas just what the heck was going on. He was playing with the D-Touch when he touched an encyclopedia app. The only 'Digimon' that appeared in the encyclopedia were Poyomon and Chapmon, the current Digimon before. Silas pressed his thumb against Chapmon's picture and he read the entry:

"Chapmon, an In-Training level Digimon. It has the sensitivity to detect the approach of opponents just from tiny movements of the water's surface, and will escape to a safe spot before it is found. It's special attack is Foam Shower." Silas looked up at Chapmon again after he explained to him what was going on and simply said, "Whoa... whoa... WHOA. Hold on. How can you tell ME that I have to save the world. The Digital World..."

"Both worlds, dude."

"Okay, Earth AND the Digital World... I'm an American, not some... DIGIMON! And another thing, I-" Silas's prerequisite to a rant was cut off by a ring tone from his Digivice. The GPS application appearing was flickering. He tapped the icon and a map of New York appeared on the screen. A pinpoint was pointing on his direction, while there were five other pinpoints pointing at other places in the city. "So... five other people are in the same predicament as I am... I wonder..." Silas curiosity got the better of him, as he smiled slightly. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all. It appeared that he might not be the only one suffering. Only one way to find out. There was another pinpoint, a pitch black one. The other ones were other bright colors, Silas's own was a sea green color. But the black one appeared to be where the other dots were going. They must have been heading to a central location. "I've got to check this out. Maybe I can figure out how to get you home, Chapmon."

"Dude, did you listen to what I just said?" Chapmon exclaimed, pouting.

Silas grinned a little, feeling a bit more comfortable with Chapmon for some reason. Their chemistry appeared to flow together despite them only sharing hours together. Rubbing the Digimon on the head, Silas said, "Come on... let's just go before you get hungry again!" Silas grabbed his backpack and stuffed Chapmon inside, leaving a space open in the large compartment so that Chapmon can breathe. As Silas got outside, he held his D-Touch in his hand and noticed that the dots were drawing closer to the black, "Gotta move fast!" With that, he took off running towards his destiny.

Noah's Bedroom
Part A
Popomon.png

"Noah, your father and I are leaving now" his mother shouted as she closed the door behind her to Noah's relieve as he rushed off trying to look innocent with a plate filled with food, obviously too much for the plate. He was somehow able to navigate the way to his room while running and not spill anything before bursting into his room and locking the door behind him so he wouldn't be disturbed.

On quick inspection of the room it would look normal but Noah knew better than that. Noah carefully placed the plate on the ground near his bed before he jumped into it making himself as comfortable as he could in the current situation he was in. And that situation was about to jump from under his bed and devour the food on the ground, yep there was a little creature living with him and the one day friendship he had with this little creature was a very odd one. Noah would give it food and it would eat, just times that by ten and that would be a majority of what happens.

Noah looked to where the plate was placed and it was completely empty, it even looked like part of the plate was eaten too. But what could eat so much food so fast? Noah looked beside him and curled up was his little friend a little ball of fur with eyes and a leaf for a tail. Every moment Noah wasn't feeding it was spent trying to hide it from his parents or his helpers, the worst time was when he had to juggle the little guy like a ball for a couple minutes to convince his father it was a ball. Worse than that was the fact that his parents thought he was on drugs now, always having to raid the fridge for food at every hour of the day.

"So fur thing" thats all Noah could really call it at this point in time since it wasn't really saying much "No more food for a couple hours okay" the little thing did look content though satisfied with the meal he was so graciously given, a meal he became so accustomed to getting every since his hatching. Oh did I forget to mention that this little ball of fur was the thing that hatched from the egg? You remember the egg right? The one that somehow manifested itself from a "dream" Noah had. A dream about black devils and a giant lion man thing, it was all just too confusing.

Back to the matter at hand though, Noah continued staring at the little creature beside him, at least now he wasn't firing fur everywhere. Yes I said firing fur, Noah couldn't get too close to this thing at first before it ran away and now it was right beside him on his bed like some sort of common house pet. "I always wanted a dog" he joked "Close enough I think" even though the building where they lived didn't allow pets. Even though he wasn't acting it though he was actually pretty freaked out by the entire situation but what was he to do throw his furry friend here out the window or in the trash? Nah that wouldn't work out too well, the guilt would just kill him.

The five kids, the mysterious place, the odd looking forest, all of it just kept playing on his mind over and over almost endlessly and the worst part of it all his phone wasn't working. All his little thoughts and stories were in that phone and now it was totally gone and he didn't even know why. Noah moved from the bed trying not to shake or move and awake the now sleeping creature and made his way to his computer for his regular computer routine. Even with the madness of everything going on he could still rely on the internet and its wonders especially since his computer was working now.

Google Chrome was the first thing he clicked when the computer had started up and the homepage no surprises was www.google.com but to tell the truth his head wasn't in the right place to do anything. He just sat their and stared into the white screen reading the words GOOGLE over and over before putting the cursor into the search bar and began slowly typing......weird monsters hatching from eggs.......that's what he typed as a joke really but only out of curiosity. Nothing that even related to the thing laying on his bed showed up and he made the mistake of clicking images and scrolled through disgusting drawing from people about weird things coming out of chicken eggs.

Noah glanced back at the bed and stared almost as if asking what are you with his eyes. Back to the screen now though closing that tab with the odd images to a new one blank and on google again and Noah was once again in his state off not knowing what to do so the obvious choice was facebook and yes Noah was a facebook lover like almost every teen in New York and right now facebook was the only normal thing he could think of. For Noah there was always something to do or someone to talk to when he was there and although he wouldn't brag about it he was actually quite popular.

So there he was 3 friend request 8 messages and 12 notifications "Slow day" he joked with a straight face "Wow" to his surprise he wasn't even able to laugh at his own jokes and what was the point of life if you couldn't even laugh at a joke you told. Times really were getting weird though a couple post from friends on his wall even a couple from his many crushes nothing interested him though and on he went scrolling away his time. One recurring thing he saw though was "Blah blah posted on Riku Grahams wall" Noah has always seen this while scrolling through facebook and it always puzzled him why this one guy was so popular.

One clicked was to solve all that but it solved something else, a deep long look on his profile pic revealed something, this boy was one of the five others that was seated on the subway with him during all the madness. Noah had to look real hard at the picture even resorting to placing his face against the screen just to make sure. "I think I'm a genius" an idea sprung into his head he found one already and that was by a complete accident so just imagined if he was trying it would take no time.................That was the thought he had but it wasn't going so smoothly "3 hours later" Noah sighed but it wasn't even 10 mins since he started his search.

So he had one boy Riku Graham in his tab and was searching for five more, stalkerish? No way, they were there too so obviously they must have been experiencing the same thing he was, Noah looked back at his bed "Or am I the only one blessed with that ball of fluff"

First up he decided to find the other boy since he already found one. The search parameters were obvious Male, New York resident between the age of 12 and 20. He just wanted to cover all the bases. If only you knew how long it took, he had to scroll through an almost endless list of people before finding a Silas Jamison who resembled the other boy but Noah could only assume.

Time for the girls, more time spent searching yielded rewards, Theodora Peppercorn there was no way Noah could forget the bright red hair that she had.

A Lark Felix, ummm she had purple hair what more was there to say about her except that she was pretty young in comparison to the others but Noah wasn't one to talk since he was a 16yo boy who hangs out with people 17 and 18, always younger than the rest.

Last but definitely not least was Sophia Avell another redhead but she was quite the looker and she completed his search.

"And then there were five" Noah sat back in his chair laughing at the fact that he spent most of his day so far looking for some random people. Noah looked over at his bed, to the shocking sight of no furry thing who had obviously woken up. Thankfully though it hadn't gone too far and was just bouncing up and down beside his phone for some reason and that was because it was ringing. To Noah's shock his phone was actually ringing but like some cruel act from above the moment Nah reached over to the phone and actually took it up it just stop and went back to its dead lifeless state.

Noah dropped back into his bed, fluffy in one hand phone in the next, he never expected his day to ever go like this. He started to feel a vibration in his hand, was his phone trying to tease him again by starting just to up just to cause disappointment. This time it actually looked like it was working and both Noah and his little fluffy friend by his side were staring into the odd start up screen with a D for some reason. If the day couldn't get any weirder the screen now was showing a flurry of different colors and lights and on top of that his little pal was now floating in the air.

Weird day weirder when now in the middle of his room there were two floating orbs, one with his phone that he knew needed to be in the garbage after this entire fiasco and in the other sphere the odd little monster. Now floating spheres of light was weird enough and now guess what they were on a crash course for each other, the collision was like glass clashing into glass and breaking.

Behold unto Noah was a new shiny blue and white phone different from any he had seen before and right into his lap fell a cat head with a tail. Noah's face was straight, trying to hold back any emotion as he stared at the two knew things infront of him. The creature was silent but the new "phone" was acting making sounds and had symbols running all across the screen displaying different apps. One opening up and and showing a small LCD image of the creature beside him "It's a digivice" yes it spoke and it was jumping about everywhere.

"Uh huh yeah digivice sure" Noah's voice was cracking up but he could only just stare as it went around the room looking at and into everything before poping back up on the bed staring down a frightened and frozen Noah. "I have a story to tell you" The creature continued "I'm Frimon and..." Aside from introducing himself this Frimon character began telling a long story about his world and why he was their. Digimon|Chosen|Digital World|Destiny|Horror he went on and on but everything drew one question from Noah

"Why do I have to do all that?" Noah finally could mutter up a question this time with his voice clearer and more serious. "Why can't you fight your own battle" Frimon started to have a sort of sad look on his face as Noah continued "No way-" during his big refusal speech Noah didn't expect that this new phone thing would ring and for some reason it was like Déjà vu. The digivice was acting up and showed him a a map of the city and a destination was set into it.

"Last time I followed a random map I ended up with a headache" that was Noah's reaction to this digivice and it's instructions. Frimon continued with a pouty face obviously saddened by Noah's reaction to the entire situation "We should follow it" the creature said quickly or should I say digimon to be politically correct. Noah made a quick run to the closet jacket, shoes and a small gym bag to put the digimon for the time being. "Maybe ur owner will be there" Noah opened the bag and signaled to the little creature telling him to jump in.

"Onward we go" Noah dropped some food in the bag before making his way outside, Frimon sticking his head out to see the wonders of the world. Digivice in hand Noah began walking towards another adventure.........

Sophia

August 1st, 2012 - Part A

Watching her newest companion Sophia smiles for the first time in a very long time. She isn't quite sure what her name is but she has to come up with one sooner or later. Sophia also isn't sure how this creature came from the egg she found or how this is even possible. The rationalization to this situation would come later but right now she had a friend. She laughs as Dandi floats through the air like a dandelion hence the name she just came up with. Dandi isn't a handful nor does she cause much of a hassle though she is a picky eater. Eating meat isn't something that she does she prefers to eat lettuce and vegetables. That is perfectly fine with Sophia as she nows how someone to give her leftover vegetables and someone to eat with. Since her Dad is never home she is accustom to dinning alone at a large dinner table. Dandi flies through the air while listening to all of Sophia's stories but Sophia's not sure she's understanding what she's says. The only wish that Sophia's currently wanting to come true is that she could take Dandi shopping with her. She knows that her bringing Dandi out into the world would be terrible news and be a bigger story than it needs to be. Occasionally Sophia's mind wanders to that day on the subway, which she thinks is all a dream. She wants to know what happened to the other five people, did they also get egg creature? Hopefully they didn't, Sophia likes to be unique and those clowns didn't deserve anything.

The whole idea of having a pet is foreign to her, as she is never allowed to bring anything that isn't human into the house. Her dad has serious allergies but it isn't like he ever coming back home to live. He's probably found some nice place in Hawaii yet keeps Sophia here just to torture her. After all he wants a boy to take over the family business he is so sexist at times. Sophia has a gut feeling that he will try to set her with some future business partner's son so they can merge the families. The thing about Dandi is that she distracts Sophia from thoughts about her family and she makes her smile. Sometimes Dandi would spit out bubbles at things she didn't like such as the vacuum, blow drier, and refrigerator. No matter how many times Sophia begs her to do it again Dandi just floats above her head as if she's clueless. The bubbles never hit Sophia in anyway that is because Dandi never aims at her.

Their personalities seem to mirror each other like they are made to be together. Sophia knows that she is a bit more aggressive than Dandi, which isn't always a bad thing. The thing is Dandi is small, white, round and fluffy. She has two purple-ish, antennae-like things coming from her head. Two big, black eyes are center on the ball of fluff along with some purpleness that surrounds the eyes. If one touches Dandi's fur they would be feeling as if they are in heaven. Sophia would never let anyone touch her because that's mistake number two. Number one is letting anyone know of her in the first place she couldn't explain how she got her. 'Hey, I travel to extraordinary places and pick up random eggs that hatch into cool creatures.' Sophia shuddered at the thought. They both lay in her bed reading a magazine that is a bit sketchy. It did have exclusive shopping details with all the latest fashion and Sophia knows she must look her best at all times. If only she could go shopping with some of her friends but her phone still isn't recovering from its trip to wherever they went. Using her computer she can easily contact her friends but who uses the computer for that reason anymore?

Suddenly Sophia sits up straight, she didn't do any thinking about using her computer to see if anyone else has a creature. Her fingers begin typing away at her laptop while Dandi lands on her shoulder clearly something interests her as well. None of the searches turn any up except for the fact that people are crazy. She would never be able to get these disgusting images out of her head. Did people really draw strange creatures doing stuff to other strange creatures for fun? Sophia pulls up her Twitter App on her iPod Touch, this is the only app she uses any more. Blah, her timeline is plenty boring because no one ever says anything good. She's doing these people a favor by even following them but of course she had more followers than who she is following. Clicking on a tweet that one of the people she follows retweeted she notices the person in the icon. It is that guy from the subway! Apparently his name is Silas and he tweets some pretty boring stuff most of it is about his daily activities. Sophia clicks back deciding to look at the "Similar to Silas" section only to discover the other four subway people. There is Kit, Eddie, Noah, and Riku but at least she knows their names now that is if these people are one and the same. A beep distracts Sophia for a second as she reaches for her phone pray that it's actually working. Disappointment settles in, as phone remains blank refusing to turn on. Dandi who is on her shoulder floats down to her lap next to her phone. Tilting the screen up one last time Sophia notices that it actually turns on!

An older graphic of a dinosaur appears on her phone screen with a 'D' along side it. Sophia mutters something about how this is getting weird before the icon disappears. A burst of light comes from her phone similar to the time in that weird place. Dandi jumps up in the air combining together with the light and her phone. The swirls of color are just too bright to look at so Sophia closes her eyes for a second. Both Dandi and her phone are completely different when she opens her eyes. The phone isn't her phone it's different it's a whole new device. An app pops open showing Dandi and some confusing words are underneath it. Sophia is absolutely clueless about what's happening right now.

"That's a Digivice," The voice is foreign to Sophia but she knows that it must be Dandi who doesn't look like Dandi. She is green for the most part and has a plant sprouting from her head. Her face is a off-white color with two big, red eyes in the center and she also has four, three-claws legs.

"You can talk? Why couldn't you talk before? What are you?" Sophia has questions upon question to ask this creature. She hopes that Dandi has all the answers to her demanding questions.

"I'm Tanemon, a Digimon. Us Digimon usually can't speak until our In-Training form," Tanemon explains as she sits herself down on Sophia's lap. "You got me in the Digital World, that device means your destiny chose you to save my world!"

"First off, I'm from Earth why would I care about your world? Unless you got some good shopping places I'm not interested," Sophia could only stare at the Digimon that sits on her lap she didn't know what else to do. Before Sophia could go on one of her new applications is moving on the screen. She clicks the app, which starts taking her to a map. Oh no, Sophia isn't falling for this one again these maps are trouble. Tiny dots are on the map, various colors such as silver and pink but only one really caught her attention a black one. It's Staten Island, Sophia never ever wants to go there as she has heard horrible stories about it. Didn't she owe it to Tanemon after all she did listen to all those stories?

"Fine, if you promise to never speak of a word I said I'll help you with your crisis," Tanemon does a little dance for Sophia as she is being put in her limited edition Victoria's Secret pink backpack. "Sorry, I can't have everyone knowing you're a Digimon, I'll keep the zipper open!"

Lark Kit Felix

Date: August 1st
Time: 19:27
Location: Home
Current Mood: :cer_confused:
Currently Playing: Dear You

"Paopao! Stop attacking Soni."

The little white ball of fluff looked at her in confusion, wide black eyes staring innocently at her as it bounced on her hammock. The sparrow on her dresser was squawking indignantly, not entirely certain what was attacking his makeshift nest but not liking it all the same. For its part, Paopao, as it was so named, seemed more curious than anything else, staring at the bird and trying to get it from the dresser it sat on. Unfortunately, having nothing resembling a hand, it was kind of fruitless.

Kit giggled despite herself, going to lift the sparrow away. She was making sure there wouldn't be any more snow before she took it outside to fly away. Paopao stared at her in what was apparent interest before bouncing underfoot once more. Smiling softly, she let the odd, fluffy thing land in her lap. She still wasn't sure why she named her weird fluffy Paopao, but it sounded right so she just went with it.

Jake was out doing... some odd artist thing, so she was keeping a watch over the apartment like she was supposed to. He hadn't really reacted much to the white thing on her hammock, having probably thought it was a pillow. Lark knew right now that she ought to be practicing but for some reason she just... couldn't... focus! So, calling it a lost cause for the moment, she turned on her computer. Her google popped up and she began to idly look up interesting photos. Then her eyes went to the silent ball of white fluff on her lap. It was still staring at her. Kit couldn't help a soft laugh. "Maybe you're on Google Paopao! There are quite a few unexpected things on it after all." The oddly named Paopao simply stared at her again, stubby pink tail wagging once in a while.

Inwardly, as she pulled up a new tab, Kit reflected on how well she was taking this. It kind of surprised her, considering how weird the whole situation was turning it. Maybe it's because Paopao is so cute... That did tend to throw her off course a little bit. Also, there wasn't very much she could do about it. The little alien, fluff thing that had come from the egg wasn't hurting anyone that she knew about and it, or she, seemed very well-behaved.

Deciding her mental state wasn't nearly as interesting as what she could find on Google. she looked at a few sites. A couple of images later and she had clicked out of the window, profoundly concerned for humanity as a whole. I guess people have way too much free time?... It was rather disconcerting what you could find on Google wasn't it? She never knew humans could (or would) do those sorts of things with animals... Ah well, it was likely best to forget about those things for the moment. For an instant, she considered going on Twitter but... all she posted on there was pictures and, well, it was likely that most of her friends had stopped following her by now. The same went for Facebook. Oh wait... maybe those people from earlier were on Facebook. Maybe they would be friends with her... maybe. If Jake liked them of course.

Searching around, she was quick to find Theodora Peppercorn, the girl with red hair. Wow, even the pictures made her hair look nice. Though in general she seemed like a rather fun person. Hm, she and Jake would get along great. She was likely zany enough for him. Sophia Avell... not so much. She was attractive too... but she didn't seem very... friendly. Oh well, she was likely a good person once you got to know her.

The boys now... okay now she was feeling rather odd... Kit considered stopping but Paopao was looking at the screen now in a rather demanding way. So she kept looking, if with a bit more hesitance than previously. Silas Jameson... well he looked rather pleasant. Maybe they would talk. Noah Phillips... where had she heard that name before? Hm... perhaps it would come to her. The last one, Riku Graham, he seemed... rather like the popular kid. She really wasn't sure how to take in these people. They were probably all good, nice teens but... they were also all older than her.

Normally to Kit, age wasn't important. However, she also wasn't blind to her own figure. She looked, rather bluntly, like a child. The natural assumption was that she would, by extension, behave like one. Lark thought about it and laughed gently, realizing that implied her behaving like Jake. He was a rather silly person after all. Kit shook the odd thoughts of self-disdain aside at the sudden ring tone from her hammock. Lark carefully moved Paopao onto the chair, the odd fluffy critter asleep now, and went to examine her phone. She had thought it was broken. Kit wouldn't have been too surprised if it had been; Jake constantly complained about its dropped calls and annoying bills and her needing a normal smartphone like everyone else her age.

"Eh... it's still broken... right?" She fiddled with the buttons like an idiot before the screen brightened. Kit breathed a sigh of relief before frowning. A small dinosaur icon was marching onto her phone screen, accompanied by a pixelated D. Then it disappeared and the screen began to glow like a sunlit prism. Behind her, Paopao's eyes snapped open and it began to glow, floating up in the air. Kit prepared to turn her head and look but her phone decided to shoot out of her hands in a sphere of light, glowing in unison with her white fluffy.

Kit shut her eyes, hoping desperately that this wouldn't blind her. When she opened them again, her phone dropped neatly into her palm. Only it wasn't her phone anymore. It looked much better, touchscreen and everything. Also... what happened to Paopao? She got legs, stubby, pink legs! Well... erm... okay then. App icons began to flicker onto her screen, one opening to show a picture of her new creature. "Xiaomon..." she pronounced incorrectly. "Um..."

"Rawruff!" That would be a Digivice! Paopao, Xiaomon was standing unsteadily on her hammock, facing the young lilac-haired woman.

Kit stared. "You... you just talked Paopao!" The creature barked again, nodding its whole body.

"Yes, I.. sort of did." The little creature wiggled to the floor. "But that's not important right now Lark. I am a Digimon from the Digital World."

Lark stared rather helplessly. "Er... does that mean anything?" She had no clue what was going on. Maybe this was a secret part of the dream. Maybe...

Xiaomon continued steadily with her soft, soothing barks, the barks turning into words in her brain. Or at least, the meaning of them was relatively clear. "That Digivice in your hand... it means you have been chosen to save our world from terrible destruction."

The lilac-haired girl visibly frowned, shaking her head. "Wait... wait... I'm just a girl, a normal human girl," Kit tried to explain, eyes bright with dismay. "I can't... there's no way I can help you. I... I may be strange but... there... there's no way someone like me could be of any use to-"

Her phone (Digivice, her mind mentally corrected) suddenly chimed softly, a map showing up on screen. Warily tapping it, New York came into view, a tiny silver dot appearing where she was standing. Five other colored dots in other places soon became visible and then a black dot far away from each of them. As the black one pulsed, Lark read the location. "Staten Island... I've never... How am I going to get there?" She wondered a moment, then scribbled a note on a piece of paper for Jake to see. Then she went to her bags, pulling out her violin case. Then she pulled out another, much larger bag, what was actually a guitar case. Placing the case in it left quite a bit of room for Xiaomon.

"Here," she told her new... friend? "You should get in this. It wouldn't be good if people saw you." The Digimon complied in confusion, letting Lark zip up everywhere but the top so she could breathe. For a moment, Lark paused, thinking carefully. This is real right... or maybe I'll find proof it isn't... either way... I need to go and see for myself. I doubt I can do what Paopao says... and... I don't want her to go yet either... She gave up on thinking, carrying the guitar case on her back. The two things on her back were lighter than expected and as she ran down the stairs of the apartment, phone in hand, Kit wondered if she had magically learned how to fly.

Theodora Peppercorn // 1st August, 2012 // Manhattan, New York

ADVENTURE TWO: Part A
"Eddie, sweetie, I'm going out to work, alright? Behave!"

"Yes, mom!"

Theodora was in her room, staring at the thing that had hatched from her egg yesterday. She wasn't quite sure what it was, only that it was all white and looked freaky. Like, it wasn't anything like a cat. Or a dog. Or a bird. Or a turtle. Or a lizard. Or a tadpole. It had no legs, no arms, only bear ears and a silly look on its face. It kinda looked like one of those cute characters from Japanese toys. It was too cute. Maybe it was planning something.

Hiding it from the parents and brother wasn't too hard during last night. After she had finished freaking out when her parents got home, she simply tossed it onto her bed. It looked like a weird plushie or pillow. Her mother had thought nothing of it. The only thing she really had to explain was the bubbles that had been emerging from her room. Her explanation? Theodora had a bubble blower in her room. That seemed like reason enough.

Rather than spend the entire day staring at the white, cute, bear thing, Theodora retreated to her laptop to see if there was anything that explain what had happened. The internet supplied no answers but after a quick flick on Facebook, she a few other familiar faces who had mutual friends with her; the other kids that were on the train. She didn't add them, no, instead keeping in mind their names. Of course, once she closed the screen, it didn't take long for her to forget them.

Theodora almost jumped when her phone vibrated from the desk next to her. Well, that was weird. It hadn't been working since yesterday, just after her egg hatched. When she looked over at it, it still looked like it was broken. Stupid thing, she was paying for it! Maybe she would ring the phone company tomorrow or something. Did the home phone work? She hadn't used it in so long.

Theodora then tried taking care of her... thing again. Did it eat, did it drink? It really hadn't done anything but blow bubbles since it had hatched. If it did eat, what did it eat? Maybe it had a taste for human flesh or something... that would be kind of cool. Wondering about the time, Theodora automatically pulled her phone from her pocket and hallelujah! It worked! It was about 11am, said the phone, so she had plenty of time to do things before her mother or her father or her brother got home. Wait, but... there was something kind of wrong with the phone. In the centre of the screen was an 8-bit lizard, like it was a video game or something, and a big capital 'D' in the centre. The lizard then faded but Theodora almost threw the phone when it started glowing all kinds of funny colours. Not only was the phone being crazy, but her fuzzy pillow toy thing suddenly seemed a little more lively than usual and started floating in mid-air.

"You can blow bubbles and... float?!" Theodora exchanged looks between her phone and her thing and fell back onto her bed. There was enough crazy going on in this room to satisfy a loony bin but it didn't stop there. The phone itself started to float, then created some kind of energy shield that almost looked real. The pillow seemed to follow suit and then, they collided and shattered, both now completely different and completely awesome.

Theodora's phone was now white and a kind of pinky colour, and didn't quite look like her old phone anymore. And neither did her pillow. She managed to catch them as they stopped floating, the phone in her right hand and the not-really-pillow in her left arm. She quickly inspected her phone; the lock screen was different and had a whole bunch of different apps. Aw, what? Angry Birds was gone! But, there was now a little LCD picture of her... cat pillow. Was that what it was?

"Is this how Apple upgrades their phones now? What is it?" Theodora shook her phone in case that made it do something. It didn't. Instead, a voice answered her question.

"That's a Digivice," the cat pillow thing said and this time, Theodora did throw something. The pillow went flying to the end of Theodora's bed, grunting as it hit the mattress. It didn't roll off, instead using its tail to adjust itself upright to look at Theodora, probably a bit angry.

"It talks! You talk! What are you!? Son of satan!" Theodora flinged her phone at it, as it raised an eyebrow, crawling back towards Theodora. "Maybe the son of god?"

"I'm Nyaromon," it (sounded like a he) said, giving Theodora a friendly smile as he cocked his head to the side. Theodora's fear melted a little. He didn't look dangerous. Actually, he looked really cute. He was even cuter when he used his tail to fetch her phone and pass it back to her.

"I'm Eddie," Theodora said, returning the smile and accepting the phone. Geez, her heart was pounding really fast. "Are you real?" Nyaromon giggled.

"I'm real," he said, "and I'm a Digimon. And that's a Digivice. It means you've been chosen to save the Digital World, which is where I'm from."

"The Digital World?" Theodora looked at her phone. "Like, the internet?"

"Kind of."

"Sounds like a video game," Theodora said. Everything seemed like a video game. Maybe it was a video game. Or something like that. Virtual Reality? Did that even exist?

"It's not, it's real too," Nyaromon was now at Theodora's crossed feet, looking up at her, "and it's in trouble. I need your help, Eddie. We all need your help."

"In trouble?" Theodora frowned. The internet was in trouble? That was bad. She got all of her music and games off the internet and would probably be pretty devastated if it broke or something. "How... how can I help?"

"You don't even know what's wrong, and you want to help?"

"I'd never let some...one as cute as you get in trouble. Besides, I'm pretty strong. Is there a bully pillow? I bet I could take him."

Nyaromon was a little taken-aback. He was sure this was going to take more time, more persuading. But it didn't. She was smiling and fully accepting of this challenge. Was she... really brave? Or just stupid?

"My Summer's been pretty boring so far, anyway. It be good to have a little excitement."

Theodora's phone chimed, as if on cue. Again, the GPS automatically pulling itself up to show a map of what looked a whole lot like New York. There was one in her apartment and five others, each different colours and different symbols. Not really taking notice of the others, Theodora inspected hers. It was that pinky colour, like her phone, and the symbol was like a circle and a big swirly. There weren't many words that could describe it.

The last and most ominous pinpoint was a black one, hovering over Staten Island. It was pulsing, unlike the others. It looked kinda important. Maybe that's where the bully pillow was. If Theodora could get this thing to go away, maybe Nyaromon wouldn't look so worried.

"Well, I guess we have to go here!"

Riku Graham//August 1, 2012
Central Manhattan, New York

Adventure Two|Part A

"Come on! Just protect the flag for a little longer!" A young boy screamed in to his expensive looking head set, using a black and grey controller to guide his heroic soldier. On the tv screen in front of him, an assault rifle was being wielded by the hands of a soldier who was evading bullets being shot at him by an opposing squad of soldiers. He was just five points away from victory, about to secure the final objective to save Manhattan from Russian terrorists. Unfortunately, he slipped up. A stray grenade exploding at the soldier's feet. The screen lost color, and the game's statistics were displayed.

"NO! WE ALMOST WON!" The boy cried in frustration, hands falling to his side and letting the controller clatter to the floor. After being showered insults by his fellow team mates the boy stood up, "Where the f*ck were you guys?! Oh yeah, dead!" The olive skinned boy yelled out before exiting the lobby. The boy, of course, was Riku. Shortly after his defeat, the tv showed a black screen which displayed the main screen of the game. Rather than jumping in to a new game, though, the boy turned around and let out a sigh. Miko and Stitch were yet again locked in to a fight to the death with the recently hatched ball of green scales that he named Reptar. Riku walked over and only spectated for a bit, the cat leaped in to the air and began clawing at the small ball of scales who only sneezed out a few small embers and easily disposed of the cat who scurried on to Riku's bed. Stitch reared up and waddled after Reptar, but Riku quickly picked up the fat Corgi and then proceeded to pick up the cat frantically trying to rid itself of the burn markings it had on its face.

"This is embarrassing, y'all team up on little Reptar and can't even get a scratch on him. Get yo punk asses out of my room." Riku patted the pets on their behinds as they hurried out. The small scaly dragon looking creature had hatched the morning before and has been nothing but a hand full since. From having to explain where all the oreo cookies went, to explaining the burn marks on the pet's fur, to the mysterious smell in his room. Most blamed on Miko and Stitch, but he took the blame for the Oreos. The boy sat down on his desk top, the little dragon flapping its tiny wings and managing to fly up on to his lap. This had become a norm, to browse through Tumblr with this tiny alien dragon on his lap.

No big deal.

"Hold on-" Riku narrowed his eyes at the screen at a picture one of the blogs he followed had posted, it was a picture from a blog named 'f*ckyeahcutegirls'. She had curly red hair braided over her shoulder and piercing eyes that he had seen somewhere before, admittedly it was hard to focus on remembering the girl's face when her breasts were just there saying 'Look at me, Riku!' But that's beside the point, he had suddenly remembered where he knew the girl. He had flashbacks from that strange night...on the subway. She was on the subway with him, well she was one of the people there at least. He noticed a url printed on the bottom corner of the picture, it seemed to be a url to her facebook.

"Gotcha.." Riku murmured to himself as he pulled up her facebook change, yup. Definitely her. "Sophia Avell." Even the name sounded familiar, even though he was almost positive he had never met her before. His eyes trailed off to the series of profile pictures on the right margin of the monitor where a few profiles he 'might know' were. Every single picture, every single name, was familiar. Four others, not counting this Sophia girl, were there and each one of them was from the subway. Another red head, two red heads? Yup, these were the girls from the train. No doubt about it, you can't find two attractive red heads side by side in Manhattan on more than one occasion. Deep in thought, Riku stared deeply into the pictures of each character while idly sticking his hand in a bag of mcdonalds he had brought home that morning. The fries were warm, and felt good as they entered his esophagus. But after a few moments, he noticed the fries were gone. He looked down and saw the last bit of the Mcdonalds recyclable take out bag swallowed whole by Reptar.

Silence...

"You gonna get sick one of these days."

Da-ding! The familiar tone from his iphone sounded off and he grabbed it from the top of his computer tower only to notice the screen was black. Oh wait! It was broken, he hated when that happened. It actually wasn't too strange, it happened to him a lot. But maybe he wasn't crazy, he noticed the light from the iphone on the bottom of the computer desk's top shelf. He quickly picked the phone up and noticed it was working, how weird.

Weird indeed, the phone didn't have his usual lock screen picture he set. Instead a weird logo of the letter 'D' with some kind of 8-bit dinosaur. It looked like a video game logo, Riku curiously unlocked the phone and it released a flurry of colors. It looked like a rainbow was throwing up another rainbow, it was amazing. It vibrated out of control and Riku couldn't hang on, his phone fell to the floor. Reptar joined in on the craziness and flew out of Riku's hands into the air. It flapped its tiny wings frantically until finally it spun around slowly and was enveloped into a teal colored bubble of some sort. It glowed magnificently, the boy extended his hand to touch it only to flinch when his phone was covered in another identical bubble of light. The two orbs circled each other, the music playing in the background provided an epic feeling of awesomeness. The orbs shattered, as if made from glass, but the shards that fell to the floor only disintegrated in to invisible dust. In the place of the two orbs floated a strange teal colored dinosaur-dragon thing.

"Reptar?" Beside this unfamiliar alien floated a strange looking cell phone, instead of his usual white iphone. The strange device in question floated down into his palm, it wasn't his phone anymore, that much was obvious. It sounded off to catch the boy's attention and there was a small LCD image of this new, larger Reptar. He looked over at the alien and it smiled at him, Riku nervously smiled back before inspecting the new device. "This isn't my phone, what the hell is it?"

"Digivice."

Silence. Nothing but silence for a few moments until Riku slowly looked over at the alien in his arm. The alien zoomed out of the boy's grasps and on to his bed, it just floated there with some kind of transparent tail looking thing. "You. Can talk." Riku pointed his new phone at the creature. "Reptar, you can talk. Right? I'm not crazy?"

"I am Babydmon, not Reptar," The small dinosaur chuckled, its wings flapping all the while. Riku wasn't scared of this thing, but more intrigued. He was always interested in weird things he wasn't familiar with, so he proceeded to quickly inspect the external anatomy of this new creature. "Well hey there Babydmon, I'm Riku."

"Yes, Riku Graham. I am aware of who you are, you are my destined partner after all." Riku raised an eyebrow, not only did this Babydmon sound really smart but he [or at least it sounds like a he] just called him a partner.

"Hold on, partner? Like a superhero, sidekick deal?"

"Oh no," Babydmon chuckled, "You see. I am just one species of Digimon, there are many kinds in my home, the Digital World." The dragon inched closer and lost his happy smile, "Riku, this is very serious. My world, is in danger. The Digital World, needs help. So fate has chosen you my friend."

"Uhmmmm, danger?" Riku looked over at his Call of Duty game still on, "Like...terrorists?"

"Yes, you can say that. But our world in in peril, and all Digimon are in threat of being enslaved. Or worse, we could all perish."

"Quick question," Riku folded his legs and got comfortable, "If there is some kind of terrorist Digimon that has the power to wipe out all other digimon, what makes you think I can help? I mean, seriously, I'm a human. Not some super powered Digimon with fire breath, or wings. Human, an American...I really don't think I'll be of much help to you bro. Sorry."

"Believe me when I tell you Riku, you humans are the only ones who can save our world." After a short silence full of tension, Riku's alleged Digivice sounded off. A GPS application opened and he looked over this large map, scrolling through the entire thing until he noticed this was New York City. Several pinpoints scattered across the map, there was one on his location, he was sure of it. Five others were spread across the city, each a different color with a different kind of symbol. These symbols were weird, the only pointing at his location was dark teal-like the Digivice in his hands- and looked kind of like an alien hourglass.

"Riku, Staten Island. We must head for Staten Island." Babydmon said, Riku pinched the map to allow vision farther than just Manhattan. Just like the Digimon said, on Staten Island was the final pinpoint. It was dark grey, and pulsating.

"But I'm gonna be no help."

"You will be. But, feel free to prove me wrong."

Riku smirked, this Digimon knew he couldn't resist a challenge. After a quick change of clothes, Riku stuffed Babydmon in his sleeveless denim jacket and securely buttoned it up. Hoping the Digimon wouldn't dirty one of his favorite white tee shirts.
