    Just beat SoulSilver. I have completed the Johto and Kanto region now. Sorry I haven't posted my last few days of work, but I will recap tomorrow. I'm tired tonight and I have an audition tomorrow so I will just state the main points of my day's achievements.

    Main achievements of Day 4-

    -Caught another fire type. Slugma, I nicknamed him slugball
    - Defeated my rival again at Mt. Moon
    - Beat 4-8 gym in Kanto region
    - Defeated Elite 4 again
    - Defeated Red

    Game beat time 16 :47

    I used a spearow to fly around, and I never hatched the egg. I used mostly furball, my typhlosion for battling. I would've used slugma more, but I caught him so late in the game that there wasn't much point. The hardest battle for me in the game was beating Lance that second time.

    I'm currently working in the Sinnoh region. Question, since I beat SS shouldn't I have beaten the kanto and johto regions? Also, I'll recap my adventure of SSS today. :)

    No. Because you haven't defeated the Kanto elite four and champion. You only defeated the Johto elite and champion, and the true champion red. If we counted gsc hgss as Kanto then no one would play rby frlg, which is part of what this challenge is meant to be.

    Started by taking Squirtle.
    Defeated rival twice.
    Caught Pidgey, Rattata, and Pikachu, all for HM Slave use (since Butterfree can't learn Flash in Gen 1)
    Defeated Brock.
    Captured Geodude (HM Slave) and Clefairy (for no particular reason) at Mt. Moon.
    Chose Dome fossil at Mt. Moon.
    Defeated Misty.
    Obtained Bike Voucher.
    Obtained Old Rod.
    Captured Magikarp.

    Current Team:
    Wartortle, Lv. 31, Tackle, Bite, Water Gun, Bubble
    Magikarp, Lv. 5, Splash

    • Onto stage 2 of my UMC Poison. Started off Johto on Crystal version.

    - Chose Totodile for starter
    - When possible, caught Spinarak for my first Poison type
    - Caught a Zubat, cause he randomly appeared
    - Since I'd set the clock to night time, caught 2 Ghastly's, named Casper II and Spooks
    - Grinded up both in Sprout Tower (against their fellow Ghastly) until both learned curse
    - Defeated Falkner! Fairly simple with Curse+Hypnosis

    Got through Union Cave, boxing Totodile, Spinarak and Zubat since I like a streamlined team.
    - Defeated Rockets fairly easily
    - Defeated Gym with ease, only moves to affect me in the whole episode were Poison Sting and Fury Cutter

    Got through Ilex Forest, taught HM (Totodile) Cut, also withdrew Spinarak to help defeat the Normal Type pokemon just after Ilex Forest
    - Defeated trainers in the Underground
    - Realised that Nidoran male is only able to be caught during the day, so decided to stop.

    Cleared St. Anne and got Cut.
    Found out that Rattata can't learn cut in Gen 1. I'm pretty sure it can in later gens.
    Caught Diglett and Sandshrew looking for something that could cut.
    Attempted Gym. Went... okay, but had to use HM Slaves to finish off the Raichu.

    Team: Wartortle, Lv. 35, Tackle, Bite, Bubble, Water Gun
    Gyarados, Lv. 22, Tackle, Splash, Bite

    OK, made some progress on Gold, Got 7/16 gym badges, currently in the Goldenrod radio tower taking down Team Rocket. It's been really fun, especially as I've never played Gold before! :D Gone for a small team, as the level curve hikes quite drastically late on it seems, so I'm gonna try and focus my experience so I can get up to Red's level as quickly as possible.

    Bernard the Feraligatr - Lv 34
    Roland the Quagsire - Lv 34
    Peter the Staryu - Lv 34 (Dunno if I'm being stupid, but can't find a Water Stone anywhere)

    • Unova Normal Challenge Update 1​

    This is my first Monotype challenge so I was really excited to get this whole thing started.

    To start off, I got rid of my Snivy as soon as I could, and got my first pokemon: Mara the Patrat.

    After beating my Rival at the ranch, I picked up my second pokemon: Sprocket the Pidove

    I spent awhile on Cheren, but managed to beat him using an X-attack and quick attack.

    Im currently in Virbank city, grinding up my pogeymanz

    I finished up my Red portion of my Fire mono a few days ago, but never got to updating, I haven't started Platinum yet, but probably will tonight or tomorrow.

    I didn't take any pics because I'm lazy. :P
    Anyways, I beat Gary with my team of:

    Ultimate Fighting Monotype Challenge HeartGold Update #1

    Name: Huggs
    Starter: Champ the Cyndaquil
    Rival: Muggs

    -Champ took on the first two gym leaders with no issue. In fact, the part that gave him the most trouble was the rival fight right before Ilex Forest, which took a couple tries to get right
    -Went into Ilex Forest, taught Champ Headbutt, then went back to Azalea Town to catch the first real member of the team, Ringo the Heracross
    -Realized I kind of messed up by using Champ to beat Bugsy, because I could have caught a Poliwag with the Old Rod beforehand. Quickly headed back to Violet City to catch Asha, the next member of the team
    -Caught a Drowzee on Route 34 then traded him in the Goldenrod Department Stote for my old friend Muscle the Machop
    -Whitney wasn't hard but it was annoying. Damn flinch hax.
    -Got to Ecruteak City

    • Wow, this sure got a lot more pages since I last saw it. It was like 11 pages.

    It's nice to see someone took over the original post, that last person was inactive.

    Seeing my username in the ultimate challenge champion list is making me thinking of starting up another one. I already have all the first gyms done for bug and dark type, with a few of dragons first gyms. Probably Bug since I've never used a bug-type outside of those times.
