Lincoln West
Okay, it was go time. John was starting out with his Growlithe, which suited Lincoln just fine. Since his dad had Hermes it was a pokemon he was pretty familair with, and John being a fire type specialist gave Lincoln an advantage as it was. Both Bixi and Siege were resistant to fire type moves - Bixi doubly so - which would limit John's options. Of course, a good type specialist prepared for match-ups like this. Lincoln certainly did.
Jackson on the other hand actually had no resistance to fire types thanks to his secondary steel nature - but normal type moves would practially bounce right off the sturdy little Shieldon. It would be best to save him for when John sent out Zovo the Eevee. Which left the option of Bixi or Siege to send out first...
Thinking about the TM he had bought for Siege not too long ago he made his decision.
"Yo, Siege. Come on over here buddy, we're gonna let Bixi take first swing in this one."
"Dude!"
Siege floated over to Lincoln's side, immediately beginning to wave his arms in the air and cheer on Bixi. Linc laughed - he felt good about his decision. And since Bixi had gone straight into her shell when she was sent out of her pokeball, she was conveniently already on the field of battle.
