Ampharos is seriously outclassed in the OU (standard) environment. There are better alternatives out there, like Jolteon or Rotom-W, who just happen to be faster than Ampharos:

Lucario should use Swords Dance over Detect; I don't see much use of that move, tbh. It's 100% outclassed by Protect, and Lucario would rather attack straight away or make itself stronger with Swords Dance than stall for a turn. Make sure the nature is Adamant or Jolly and the EV spread is 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe.
Tbh, Espeon is the better option over Umbreon, as the former's Magic Bounce ability bounces back entry hazards (especially Stealth Rock, which Volcarona loathes):
