That Chaobuu.Raise it to be a bro.I nuzlocked White the day it came out and I started with Pokabu. He took me to the Elite Four AND the after game.AT the end of the game his move set should be this.

Heat Stamp
Brick Break
Wild Bolt/Boiling Water
Will-o-Wisp/Head Smash

If you give it Wild Bolt teach it WillOWisp so it wont get Double Recoil+ WOW is extremly helpful against Boss fights.
If you give it Boiling Water so it can burn and Damage give it Head Smash for more power.

My Enbuoh rotated between WB&WOW and BW&HS frequently depending on the fight.

Also that Yanappu bring it to the Flying gym.Because if you cant kill Swanna this thing will 2HKO it at Lvl 35 with Seed Bomb. Plus mine was a -Atk Nature too.So neutral nature Yanakki can 2HKO it a Lvl 33 and + Nature can 2HKO it at 31.

I've been doing a bit of a Sapphire run for a while in secret, so I'm going to give my first update for it. I'm putting my HeartGold run on hold just because this Sapphire run is so much more fun.

-Started the game, named myself Ruby (It's Sapphire version and my name is Ruby...
facepalm.gif

-Got a Treecko from Professor Birch. Named him Andy
-Grinded him up and easily defeated May
-Caught a Zigzagoon outside Oldale Town. Named him George (Yes, he's an HM slave).
-Helped Wally catch Ralts
-Deafeated the Aqua Grunt in the woods
-Caught a Taillow to the south of Rustboro ( I know it's a double sided route, I hadn't encountered anything on the other side before). Named him Earl, and grinded him up.
-Got to Rustboro and defeated Roxanne easily with Andy. In the battle, he evolved into a Grovyle
-Rescued Peeko and the Devon Goods
-Travelled to Dewford
-Caught a Makuhita in that cave on the island. Named him Bruno, and then proceeded to grind him up
-Delivered the letter to Steven
-Defeated Brawly by abusing Earl's Double Team (lol)
-Arrived in Slateport City
-Defeated all the Aqua Grunts in the museum, and then delivered the goods.
-Defeated May
-Got to Mauville, and grinded my Pokemon until Bruno evolved into a Hariyama and Earl evolved into a Swellow
-Beat Wattson very easily with Bruno (Hint: Never Paralyze something with Guts)
-Smashed the rock in Rustboro tunnel
-Caught a Numel in the Fiery Tunnel and named him John, but he wasn't really all that good so I boxed him.
-Defeated the grunts in Meteor Falls but failed to rescue the meteor
-Went to Mt.Chimney and defeated the grunts along with Archie
-Defeated Flannery in Lavaridge Town (Hint: Never BURN something with Guts)
-Caught a Trapinch in the desert and named her Clair (After the gym leader). However, she died in grinding. RIP Clair... :(
-Went back to Petalburg City and defeated my father easily with Bruno
-Surfed to the east of Mauville and grinded a bit, where Andy evolved into a Sceptile

Update 6:

I trekked North from the Milk Shack towards Celestic town, thinking at first that I'd be able to do it without having to resort to using Defog. Roughly 30 seconds in though, I got into a fight with a trainer and became so irritated by the extra time wasted watching the "fog" animation - battles in Pearl already take long in enough without infuriating weather animations - and the accuracy loss in fog, that I taught it to Clipper and carried on. I was training up Red Rum to begin with, but after a scare when a trainer's Machoke used Revenge and Red Rum dropped to just 5HP I decided to start training Kazza up. He'd be my best shot against Fantina and her Ghost Pokemon, particularly given that I'd just picked up the Shadow Ball TM and taught it to Kazza.

Kazza was level 33 when I started to use him on the trip to Celestic. After clearing Routes 210 and 211 (already caught Pokemon on both Routes, so no new team members for me) and then heading back to Hearthome and clearing out the Gym Trainers, Kazza had jumped up nearly 10 levels to 42. He'd cleared out the whole Gym without taking a single hit, and so I was pretty confident taking on Fantina. 3 Shadow Balls later, Kazza was lv.43 and Fantina was history. I hadn't even left the building once since entering it, Kazza had swept the ENTIRE Gym single-handedly, without even taking 1HP worth of damage.

It's easy, this Nuzlocke lark.

Update 7:

Not a huge update, but progress nonetheless. After destroying Fantina I headed to the Fuego Ironworks, picking up a male, Lv.29 Floatzel called Bullet. I sorted out the Ironworks - not that there's much to sort out - and moved Westwards towards Canalave. The journey didn't take long, and I wasn't sure about my team's ability to beat Byron in the Canalave Gym. Well, I probably could have beaten him quite easily, but I figured a bit more training wouldn't hurt, so I headed to Iron Island. My first encounter was a Graveler, which I mistakenly killed - force of habit - and carried on, levelling Red Rum up to 40 and evolving him.

Clearing the mine was a piece of cake really, considering that Riley kept my team healed. The only awkward moment was when I faced the two Galactics at the end - Riley's useless Lucario went down to the Golbat and Stunky at the end, leaving Rubble up against them on his own - Confused AND Smokescreened (x4). It wasn't especially dangerous, but it was certainly time-consuming and irritating. After missing with Earthquake and Rock Blast one too many times, I switched in Clipper - now fully evolved - and Aerial Aced for the win. I left Riley and Riolu in the mine, because I wasn't allowed another Pokemon from this area.

On exiting the mine I headed straight back to Pastoria so I could Heart Scale some moves onto Red Rum. 2 Heart Scales later, his moveset had taken a turn for the better, and I felt confident that Byron would stand no chance.

And indeed, he didn't stand a chance. Red Rum took care of the first two with Fire Blast, and when Fire Blast only did just under a half of Bastiodon's HP (and then it used Chesto-Rest) I switched in Clipper, who finished him off easily with Surf. 6 down, 2 to go!

-Reached the Eterna Forest, first Pokemon were Silcoon/Buneary, I caught the Silcoon and nicknamed her Atum.
-Continued through the forest then made my way across the bridge to Eterna City.
-Decided to try my luck at Route 211 to the East of Eterna and first Pokemon I encountered was a Lv 13 Chingling, caught and nicknamed Bastet.
-She didn't last long though and got taken out first battle :(
-Next Zipacna (Zubat) got taken out via a careless mistake by me :(
-Did some quick levelling and Atum evolved into Beautifly, levelled some more.
-Defeated Gardenia and her trainers fairly easily with Atum (Beautifly).
-Went along the Cycling Road thingy then through Mt Coronet.
-Got lucky just outside Hearthome and first wild Pokemon encounter was a Psyduck that was promptly caught and nicknamed Ba'al.
-Battled my rival again and beat him convincingly.

Presenting....

Nuzlocke Newsletter

The nuzlocke newsletter is a series of articles, tips and other things revolving around the nuzlocke challenge that comes around every once in a while.
Bro of the Week
This week's Bro is none other than the Fabulous Gastrodon!
150px-423Gastrodon-West.png

Gastrodon is a Water/Ground type Pokemon that evolves from Shellos at Lv. 30 and is found primarily in the Sinnoh Region. Shellos can be found on Route 205, Route 218, the Valley Windworks and Fuego Ironworks. Gastrodon can be found on Route 213, Route 222, and at the Fuego Ironworks. Gastrodon's High HP and decent defenses, as well as its type combo, makes it a good staller. It has a base special attack of 92, enough to deliver a powerful surf attack or blast those pesky grass types with a sludge bomb. Its quite handy to have around as it can learn HMs 03(Surf), 04(Strength), 05 (Whirlpool), 06(Rock Smash), 07(Waterfall). It's main weakness is its speed, a base 39, but with its typing, stat spread and overall usefullness, Gastrodon is a true bro to have.

Glass Cannons, a 'How to use' guide:
For those who don't know, 'Glass Cannons' are Pokemon with tremendous attacking capability, but frail defenses. Porygon-Z, Alakazam, and Rampardos would be perfect examples of these. The goal when using glass cannons, is to knock out your opponent before he knocks out you, thus Speed is as vital to Glass Cannons as Attack/Special Attack. These Pokemon, when used correctly have the potential to sweep entire enemy squads, giving you a decisive victory. Of course, since this is a nuzlocke run, surviving is a huge problem to these powerful Pokémon. The first thing to look for in a glass cannon is its nature, which, as most of you know, determines which stats are higher/lower than the others. If the Pokémon's nature boosts its speed, or whatever stat it deals damage with (Atk or SPatk) and lowers an unneeded stat like the opposite attacking stat or a defensive stat, then by all means, go for it, your Pokemon has a great nature. If your Pokémon's nature does something like decreasing speed and raising special defense, then don't bother, as your nature hinders your Pokemon too much. The next step in turning a glass Cannon into a killing machine is to equip it with a powerful move set. The Pokémon's moves should all deal over 70 base damage and cover at least 4 types, giving it diversity and power, Porygon-Z is one Pokémon that is exceptional at this. The next step is to give your Pokémon an item that will enhance its abilities, the choice specs are a popular option, especially against a type specialist that one of your Pokémon's moves can exploit. Although this is not competitive, EV training can help as well, especially if you want to increase your Pokémon's speed or defenses. That's all for now, good luck training your "Glass Cannon" Pokémon, and keeping them alive.

Featured Run:
In this run's newsletter, I have decided to feature "Locke's Emerald Hard Mode" a comic run by Neopolis. The comic features simple, but sweet art, humorous jokes and puns, twists and turns in the plot, and an amazing cast of characters that will have you begging for more. Below are some panels chosen at random from his comics:
tehspindaz.png

If these interest you and you would like to read Neopolis's comic, you can do so
Here
Credit to Bulbapedia for some of the info on Shellos and Gastrodon, and a big thanks to Neopolis for allowing me to feature his run, until next time, nuzlockers!

To the Readers

So, what did you think of the first ever nuzlocke newsletter? Any complaints or ideas on how to improve it? Well I'm open to any criticism, because this is for you guys, and I only aim to make it better.
If you want to contribute to the newsletter or have your run featured please VM me for more details.

I have some questions regarding Nuzlockeing in Black and White.

1. How do we count shaking grass? Is it counted as a separate encounter type, like fishing? Is it counted as a normal grass encounter?

1a. If it's counted as normal grass, is it considered ethical to purposely go into shaking grass for the purpose of a higher chance at a certain Pokemon? If not, would Pokemon such as Emonga/Kenhourou be illegal caught in the wild since they ONLY appear in shaking grass?

2. What about the Dream World? What's considered the first Pokemon there? First on each route? (Forest, Ocean, Sky, etc) First per day?

1.Shaking Grass is has no exeptions to normal grass its still 1 Capture per Route. Like in Yagamuru Forest (the one next to Aloe's City) I may not catch a Dokkora on Normal Grass and a Nageki in the Shaking Grass. Same thing for Bridge Shadows,Swirling Dust and Surfing Spots.

2.I would do One per Dreeam World as a Whole but One Per Route sounds fine to.

Regarding my previous post,I added White to because I forgot I had it.

EDIT: Ok Daimond + Chimpy then :D
I'll see you at the Next gym R. Sasuke ;D

Well last time I posted I was hoping for nothing stupid right?

Anyway I started surfing to Victory Road, and encountered a Tentacruel.

I thought no big deal and sent out Ice Age and thought "Hey free level up" but it got a crit with Poison Jab and killed off Ice Age.

No more than 30 minutes later I encounter a Golbat, and thought "Hey free level up." I sent out Raid, and it uses Air Cutter. Low and behold another crit, and Raid faints. I was thinking I was doomed at this point since I had only 2 trained pokemon for the Elite 4.

Well I get to the Poke center defeated my rival quite easily.

Aaron was no difference except his Vespiquen took forever to die.

Bertha like Aaron wasn't hard except for her Hippo. >_>

Next was Flint and he was quite simple nothing to stall with.

Now Lucian just pissed me off I take down his first 3 pokemon no problem. And then there was Alakazam. Fynn was at like 75% HP, and it kills me with Psychic.
After Fynn went down I figured it was over.

Well I beat Lucian and was left to die at Cynthia's hands.

Actually this battle was quite humorous. I looked in my bag for any items that might help me out, I saw a Razor Claw, X Speed, X Attack, X Accuracy, and a Dire Hit. I end up outspeeding all of her Pokemon and critting them all.

Alive: Assault Lvl 15-61

Dead: Leif 2-35
Off Lvl 15-32
Dissonance Lvl 5-45
Rule 34 ?-40
Ice Age Lvl 34-49
Raid Lvl 8-52
Fynn Lvl 1-56
