Y.Z. Act III: Registration and Discussion

With Act II coming to a close around Christmas, I'd like to open applications for anyone wanting to join in for Act III early so that we can just pick up with Act III when II ends. Since Act II is not quite finished yet, the overview of the Act is not yet complete, and I ask any returning characters hold off on having the history in their signups posted for Act III until we're done with Act II, since this act takes place five years later. You can have a maximum of four characters, but if you take that number, make sure you can handle it.

General Plot

History is a funny thing. Months, years, as time passes, history changes. Over time, the past becomes farther and farther away, and as the lives of those who have lived during the past finally all burn out, history can be altered. Facts replaced with fiction, truth becoming lies, until the very core of history rots and becomes something new entirely, an empty shell of what it used to be.

Earth - History in Review
Humanity has suffered a great number of trials over the course of the past 200 years. In 2048, the planet itself turned on the life that inhabited it. The weather grew harsh, the ground shook and shifted, the sky plunging into an eternal darkness never once seen before. When the darkness cleared, the Earth was left a wasteland, the sky dyed a light purple, and only a few million humans remained. From this point on, the use of A.D. was discarded to mark the term of years. In it's place, Y.Z. was used, simply to symbolize the end, because Y and Z are at the end of the alphabet. As time passed, even those remaining began to die, and the remaining people began to search for an alternate method of survival. With little technology remaining, this proved to be quite difficult. However, around the year 10Y.Z., humans took to the skies.

205Y.Z.
The truth behind the events that took place during the year 10Y.Z. was eventually long lost, and the various beliefs behind what truly happened had torn the world's population into different countries that were constantly fighting with each other. Only two solid facts supported all of the beliefs. The first of these facts is that the majority of humanity had been given wings. They varied in shape, size, and colour from person to person, and it was rare for more than one pair to look exactly the same. For example, one person could have white, feathered wings, while another could have black wings similar to those of a bat. The second fact that remained constant was that somehow, someway, flourishing land floated high above the wasteland below. How this actually works, and where the land came from, however, is unknown.

One of the theories followed is the one believed by the citizens of the western skies, known as the Kingdom of Tealia, ruled by Queen Jade and her son, Prince Ryan. They believe that through science, humans were given wings. They also believe that people used their last remaining knowledge of technology to raise the land, thus explaining the random holes and lakes just beneath the raised land. The capital of Tealia is called Meredy, and it lies on the floating island in the dead center of the western skies. The west is composed of many large floating island with lush forests and large cities. Most food is produced in Tealia, and shipped to other nations. As you can imagine, this becomes problematic when Tealia goes to war with other nations, because they place all focus on the war, and no focus on sending food out to the world. After the events 5 years ago, Tealia adopted the Goddess Ophelia as some form of god after her presence was introduced by the faels.

In the Kingdom of Carn, situated in the eastern skies, the land is ruled by King Dian and his daughter, Princess Juliet (who was actually named after the character in her father's favourite story, Romeo and Juliet). The people in Carn have a more religious view on the past, believing that their god, Tylonstus, gave the good people of the world wings and created flourishing, floating land for them to live on. The land in Carn is similar to that of Tealia, but it is famous for it's abundance of churches and cathedrals. Notre-Dame was lifted into Carn from the remains of Paris, France. The people here care so much for their beliefs, that when a child is born, it has the tattoo of a black rose, the king's favorite flower, placed on the back of it's left hand. The tattoo is enchanted by a form of magic known as Dation, and the effect provided insures the beliefs of anyone wearing the tattoo by sending excruciating pain to anyone brave enough to consider other ideals.

Dation is actual the Dark element of a form of magic known as Mahstion. Mahstion consists of six elements: Lionus (Light), Wation (Water), Fionus (Fire), Wionus (Wind), Dation (Dark), and Eation (Earth). Since most forms of technology have disappeared, Mahstion is an efficient way of getting things done, since everyone has the ability to control one type. Carnians refer to it as Tylonstus' gift, while Tealians refer to it as an unexplained phenomenon. Mahstion can typically be used in a variety of ways, including for attacking, healing, and much more practical uses such as helping to create weapons, or care for plants. All in all, it is a very useful, but relatively mysterious power. Some believe the floating islands are held up by Mahstion.

The third faction lives on the barren world. Wingless humans inhabit this world, using machines to travel to the islands above them. This land is referred to simply as the Underneath, and the people there loathe those with wings. It has no ruler, and they have no specific beliefs. It is essentially the slums of the world. There is no peace, no order, just poverty and destruction. The people of the Underneath are organized into gangs, each with their own individual beliefs. The most prominent group calls themselves the Raven Claw, a group of Sky Pirates that fly their ship across the world and steal from the winged citizens to give to the residents of the Underneath. Even the wingless have control over Mahstion, so confusion has arisen as to the origin of the magic.

Aside from these three dominant nations, there is also Alta, Beta, and Gregar. Alta is a neutral nation situation right in between the primary border of Carn and Tealia. It is a small country on an island similar to the Switzerland of our time in size and shape. It is very mountainous, and very green. Alta is ruled by Prince Regul, since his parents were apparently killed by Underneathers. Beta is the nation of machines. It is where all things related to scholars are conducted. Usually, Beta sells its information to other countries. It is located on a floating island in the snowy north. It is a very barren, snow covered island with metallic buildings, and is only inhabited by a few thousand people. Gregar is a small, floating nation that is constantly changing location. Because of this, the climate is constantly different. Gregar is famous for it's historical readings, and often partners with Beta for various projects.

In 202Y.Z, a new nation came into existance. Flazure was composed almost entirely of refugees from the wyvern and phoenix tribes, with any normal inhabitants being loyal supporters of the group. There have been many attempts by factions in other countries to try and mark the country as an enemy, but thanks to the efforts of the leader of Carn and Tealia, any attempts have thus far been unsuccessful. One of the main goals of Flazure is to save their brethren whom have been enslaved by other countries. As such, Flazure's military is composed of many squads with the intention of doing just that. One of the best known squads is the Archai Squad, which is composed of wyverns, phoenix', and humans alike. It is the most successful squads, and has been around since the establishment of the country. Flazure is located underground, in the earth's crust far below Tealia. As such, the cities are all underground and the architecture reflects that.

It's been five years since the appearance of Carn's apostles and the discovery of the fael. While the existence of the fael is now known, only few have discovered their own. Relations between Tealia and Carn have improved significantly, although that can be attributed to the effort of Carn's Princess. However, many issues have been left unsolved. For starters, there are still factions in both countries that feel unease with the other country, and civil wars have broken out in both countries on multiple occassions due to this unease. Nothing has been done about the enslavement of the Wyvern and Phoenix tribes, and because nothing has been done, many extremist groups have been surfacing in every country, which has lead to many problems. Finally, on top of all this, a disease has begun to creep across the world. Not your average cold, this disease effects only mahstion users and drains their strength until they pass away. Because of this, mahstion users have begun to be neglected by the common folk in fear of the disease mutating to effect the normal. Things have begun to get chaotic, and some form of order needs to be found...

Mahstion - An Explanation

Mahstion is one of the greatest resources available to humankind in the year 200Y.Z. Originally starting out as a total myth, it was officially identified in the year 175Y.Z. by the scientist, Dr. Galenos Frederick. Dr. Frederick was the first human being to ever tap into the power. Of course, Carn was quick to label it as a blessing of Tylonstus, while Tealia had no possible explanation for it's origin or purpose. Eventually, it was found that almost anyone, wings or not, was capable of tapping into the mystical power. Mahstion soon became a popular topic in all of the laboratories across the world, and a few important fact were established.

First of all, mahstion was divided into six different types, all of which were based around a different element. There was Lionus, the light element, Dation, the dark element, Fionus, the fire element, Wation, the water element, Wionus, the wind element, and Eionus, the earth element. It was also found that a person only has the capacity for one type of mahstion, and the mahstion one possesses is not one of choice. Every type of mahstion has an opposite, and the user is in turn, weak against the mahstion opposite to what they use. The three sets of opposites are as follows: Lionus and Dation, Fionus and Wation, Wionus and Eionus.

While humans can channel mahstion, it is also everywhere. In the air, water, the light, and even the darkness, mahstion is there. When a human channels it, however, it takes on a physical form. Some machines are capable of drawing the energy from mahstion in the air to run.

While Fionus, Wation, Wionus, and Eionus have self explanatory capabilities (manipulating fire, water, wind, and earth), Lionus and Dation are not as clear. Lionus and Dation users have the ability to create a type of energy based off of their type, and can also manipulate the light or darkness for various purposes, such as creating illusions.

Today, mahstion is used almost everywhere, although applied in certain areas. The armed forces for most nations are almost always looking for new mahstion users to recruit, for it is now a common combat practice. Wionus is often used among Sky Pirates because of it's ability to help keep ships and other flying machines in the air. Fionus is more commonly used for helping in the creation of tools and machines, while Wation is commonly used among farmers and towns in the midst of a drought, and Eionus is used for shifting and moving land, often in construction and landscaping. Lionus is used as an energy source for lights and machines, while Dation is used primarily by the armies for combat uses. Of course, these are only examples.

Not everyone can freely use mahstion. Some take longer to tap into the ability, while some never acquire it at all. In truth, only about half of the world's population can use mahstion. In the cases of some people, an object may be required as a form of portal to bring out their mahstion, while others can use the power just by thinking about it. It varies from person to person. Some even have specialized items called Mahstion crayms that amplify their power. The problem with this is that it places a huge amount of strain on the human body. Crayms are in the form of a small, blood red pill, and last for up to thirty minutes.

Faels: An Explanation

Faels are descendants of the great goddess Ophelia. The word fael means "other". Every mahstion user has a fael dormant within their soul that needs to be awakened. Generally, the trigger for awakening one's fael is the need for power, be it the need to save someone, or just the need for strength in general. A fael is always, ALWAYS the opposite gender of the reila, which is the fael's host. In essence, a reila and a fael are the same being, and as such appear the same age. Think of it as two sides to one coin. The fael generally also has the opposite personality of the reila. So say, for example, the reila was a cold and emotionless person. The fael would then be energetic and caring. However, this isn't always the case. Unfortunately, the fael is split into two essences: plufael and negafael. The plufael is a positive fael, meaning it supports what is right, while the negafael is the negative. Both faels live within the reila's mind and communicate with the reila when needed. One usually holds supremacy over another, however.

Faels have a number of uses. For one, the reila can feed off of their power to further increase their own. Fael's can also switch out with their reila, becoming the dominant physical form for the body. For example, a fael can manipluate the reila's body to look like their own. They can also possess the body if the reila becomes unconscious or needs rest. The can also manifest themselves in other ways, such as a ball of light, or perhaps a hologram. Fael's can also jump from mind to mind to visit another. There are many other uses for faels, but they vary from person to person.

Wyvern and Phoenix Tribes

To clarify, there are many different types of wings in the world, but they are bunched together in classes. The ``highest`` level of wing class were white, feathered wings, only possessed by those with royal blood. Then below that was essentially everything else. In reality, there were two classes higher than the white winged. Tealia`s mythological symbol was the phoenix, while Carn possessed the Wyvern. As such, there exists a wyvern tribe, and a phoenix tribe, both with very few numbers. While these two tribes are supposed to be held in an even higher regard than the royalty, things had progressed so that members of these tribes were captured and kept as pets to show wealth. Their numbers slowly diminished until there were only a few left to freedom. Inhuman? Yes. But society didn't care. If you were lucky enough to catch one, you could fetch a small fortune in exchange. Because of this, members of these tribes had no choice but to travel in secret, hiding the features that make them so desirable.

Act I in Review

On the night she was to be sacrificed for the "sake" of Carn's god, Tylonstus, Rosaline Dian, the daughter of the King was taken from the country in front of the entire audience by a young teenage boy by the name of Reid Davies. During their return flight, there was a strange flash of light, and the two passed out mid flight, landing on Alta. They were found by the Florinen family, and kept under their care for a day. This is where they met two young girls named Alicel Florinen and Faewyn Ayre. During their stay, Alicel was captured by a priest from Carn, called Aertan Svartel, who took her as a guide so that he could locate Rosaline, who had been right under his nose.

In a panic, Reid had Faewyn lead the two off of Alta, meeting Reid's friend Rod along the way. The small group flew down to the city of Azern, which was located almost directly under the country of Alta. Upon arriving, they met Reid's family briefly, before they were attacked by Aertan. Reid was barely able to cripple the man into submission, and he ran away, leaving Rosaline with the truth that her sister, Princess Juliet, would be next to be sacrificed if she wasn't. It was after this that the group learned that Reid was a fallen, someone who had their wings ripped from their back. They also learned that he would be locked away for failing to deliver Rosaline on time, and he shut himself off from the others. Rosaline then resolved to save her sister, asking Aertan for help if need be. Rod took the girls shopping for outfits, and the entire group went to a hot spring that night, in preparation for the next day.

The next day the group departed for Meredy, the capital of Tealia, aboard a flying contraption Reid had built when he was a child. Upon their arrival, they were captured by a member of the Tealian forces by the name of Adela, apparently an acquaintance of Reid's, and they were locked up. The girls awoke in a cell with their foe, Aertan, and Rosaline pitched her proposal for working together. They also met a peculiar girl named Aleksandra Zaitseva. When Reid awoke, he was confronted by Rod, who admitted to be playing Tealia, Carn, and Reid the entire time, to further his own ambitions. He had apparently discovered a strange stone underground that promised him infinite power, and it drove him mad. Reid got Adela to let him out so that he could stop Rod, but upon confronting the traitor, Reid was badly wounded by a gun, a forbidden technology. Drifting into unconsciousness, something took over her body, something inhuman. That green dot upon his head consumed his body, and within five seconds all of the flesh on Rod's body had been torn in a bloody mess, Reid passing out right after. He was barely kept alive by a woman named Shiraume.

It's been two weeks since that day, and Reid has been in a coma ever since. The threat of war from Carn has become even stronger, and with the incident involving the death of Rod still shrouded in mystery, Rosaline, Faewyn, and Alicel were released under the condition that they were to train for combat, and that they would work for the Tealian forces. Why Tealia wanted Rosaline is still unclear, but perhaps all will be answered soon...

Act II in Review (As told in point form by Xenocrates)

- We all ended up in Reid's infirmary room, since he got shot by the Mahstion gun, and there it was announced that Reid and Adela are engaged, to the two character's dismay.
- Commander Milo, Adela's mother, describes that Princess Juliet is gone, and Carn is blaming Tealia for it. So Tealia has to find Juliet to prove their innocence before a war starts.
- After that, we meet the seventh apostle, Cress, and he kidnaps Rosaline. During the battle between Cress and us, Reid exhibits the same 'weird' powers earlier, which he used to kill Rod.
- This is explained to be the power of his Plufael, who is called Mistral. The Plufael is the opposite of the Negafael, and I'll list the Plufael's/Negafael's for you later. And so it's said that Tylonstus was the bad God that tried to take over the world, and Ophelia is the good god, whom the fael's work for, and that we're trying to... well... it's a huge post, but it'd probably be best if you read this; The whole she-bang
- After that, Aertan tags along because he's trying to find Juliet too. Just thought I'd say that, so you're not wondering why the enemy is suddenly the ally. <_<;

Reid's Plufael; Mistral, Negafael; Maelstrom
Aertan's Plufael; Haeon't, Negafael; Geote
Alicel's Plufael; Kranius, Negafael; ???
Adela's Plufael; Xaviae, Negafael; Jeckt
Faewyn's Plufael; Isaire, Negafael; Typhoeus
Reece's Plufael; Siegliende, Negafael; Ifalna

1st Apostle; Velin
2nd Apostle; Azyla
3rd Apostle; Kira
4th Apostle; Kyra
5th Apostle; Arturo
6th Apostle; Villa
7th Apostle; Cress

Yeah I think that's all the characters you should take note of. If I missed a plu/negafael, tell me. xD

- Reece joins the party. (RPG-esque. xD Oh dear.)
- The mahstion gun is decidedly pointed out to bring the negafael out of people.
- Aertan chops his right hand clean off to get rid of the tattoo.
- Revealed that Rosaline is not only in the Apostle's hideout as a prisoner, but so is Juliet! :x
- Everyone takes off for... Beta I think it is. On an airship.
- Apostles attack in the middle of the ride, Reid & Adela vs. Kyra & Kira, Aertan vs. Arturo, Velin vs. Faewyn and Reece, Villa vs. Alicel.
- A huge drama-scene dealing with Adela's plufael and negafael. It's not important, and it's confusing, so I'm sure you could ignore it and go right on without even missing a beat.
- Alicel get's stabbed half to death by Villa, but since Villa is Shiraume, Villa leaves some Lionus to heal Alicel's wounds, because Villa is a failure apostle and can't do the whole 'killing' scene.
- Faewyn and Reece get into an argument about being a hero and getting hurt, while Velin leaves the battle after hearing Kira scream, which is depicted in the next note.
- Reid does some kind of freaky crazy technique on Kyra, and Kira takes the hit, leaving Kira half-dead. Adela prepares to finish off Kyra, but Cress pulls them out before the mahstion bullet hits. (Adela used the gun in the battle.)
- A freaky mixed experiment of a Juliet-Rosaline hybrid beheads Kyra to revive Kira. Velin is arrested for going against the Padre.
- The group arrives in Beta and is stopped by the militia, however they pass using papers.
- They arrive at Faewyn's home and learn that her mother is probably dead.
- Reid leaves for the night and ends up encountering a group of wyvern tribe members set on killing him. He gets stabbed and fall unconscious, only to wake up later to learn that he would be escorting a young wyvern girl to Carn in exchange for his life.
-Reece's negafael takes control and attacks Faewyn. (I think? XD)
-Reece's negafael leaves and takes Reece with her.
- The group is attacked by the apostles the next morning.
- Tealia intervenes and the apostles are reverted to their original forms.
- After accidentally killing Juliet, Reid is taken away by Flaire to hold true to his promise.

Yep, you got it right. Though Ifalna's identity has now been revealed so the only unknown negafael is Alicel's. Oh, and you can add that Ifalna has high-tailed out of there with Reece's body in tow, hence his absence. xD

Anyways, it sucks that I probably won't be able to attend for the duration of this arc. For the sake of not just having Fay disappear of the face of the ear-erm, whatever it's called these days right after giving her promise to stick with it to the end, let's assume that she's set out to collect first-hand data on the plague, m'kay? That way you can always have her send over a report or something if you need to have something explained but can't be bothered to think up a random NPC to do the telling. :3

Aaand...I guess we're assuming that Velin is kept locked up somewhere dark and secluded for the course of the events? Yeah, that pretty much covers it for my characters' absence. x3

Since it feels like every RPer on this site with an ounce of literacy is in this RP, I may as well create a bloody character as well. (Out of curiosity, has anyone every actually created a character from the Underneath?)

Can I get a reservation? I'll finish later. XD

"You've got two choices: Either get thrown off the airship or do something helpful for a change!"

-Gael

Reila

Name: Gael Sigvilder (Seeg-VEEL-Der)

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Nationality: Underneath

Class: Sky Pilot/Indepent Thief (Flies small Airship/Zeppelin)

Mahstion Type: Fionus

Weapon Class: As a fairly experienced "scrapper" of the Underneath, Gael tends to wield whatever weaponry he can get his hands on, and he doesn't give a fig about whether the weapon is forbidden up above or not. The "pet weapon" he carries with him is a large sword of about average length and six inches in width. The edges of said sword are sharp enough to wound opponents, but the sword really does more damage from crushing than anything else. In addition to being useful in fending off opponents with longer weapons that Gael cannot reach with his belt knife, the sword holds a deadly secret. By focusing his Mahstion through the heat-resistant metal of the blade, Gael can effectively heat the sword to temperatures high enough to melt his way through steel walls and doors with it without causing the sword itself to warp. As far as swordsmanship goes, Gael is mostly self-taught. As a result, he's not exactly up there with the best fighters in terms of experience.

Appearance: Gael is best described from the top down, starting with his his long, stringy black hair. Said hair is braided into several string, which are allowed to hang down the back of his shoulders, and kept in place with a red headband. Beneath Gale's dark, brooding eyes resides a face that looks as if it had been carved from granite, completely with a few chips. These 'chips' are in actuality fairly deep scars incurred during a few scraps in Gael's homeland, the most notable being the large, X-shaped mark on his right cheek and the large line usually covered by his headband. Gael's unusually tanned skin is probably best attributed to the days spent on the deck of his airship, attempting to fix some problem or upgrade some piece of machinery. His face is also surprisingly clean-shaven for someone who tends to move from port to port without stopping. His eyes tend to seem as if they're darting from place to place, searching for something.

Gale's upper body is fairly muscular due to the physical demands he requires from it and his constant training with his usual weaponry. In order to conceal the large, dark tatoo on his back and to appear fashionable, he covers his upper body with a white, homespun shirt which is in turn placed beneath a heavy black vest. (Oftentimes, he claims that the vest is stuffed with feathers from the wings of dead enemies. Anyone reasonable close to Gael knows this is all bluster). His brawny arms are left bare, as the sleeves of his shirt have been torn away. His sword is usually strapped to his back with a leather harness.

Gael's legs are as fit as the rest of him, and covered by a pair of torn and worn-out mechanic's pants. Along said pants sits Gael's tool belt which contains a pouch filled with various tools necessary for working on the airship or other similar pieces of machinery, as well as a six-inch belt knife "acquired" from an unsuspecting Tealian soldier.

Personality: In terms of personality, Gael isn't exactly the friendliest sort. A loner by nature, he tends to brush off help from others or their opinions. In Gael's mind, he is the "leading man". If anyone wants to question his orders while aboard his airship (or anywhere else for that matter), he'll give them a beating to remember. This isn't to say that Gael puts on airs or considers himself a superior being, far from it. Gael is so unsophisticated, in fact, that he wouldn't recognize airs unless they blew his hat off, and even then he'd probably mistake them for Wionus. He only considers himself to be the leader of whatever group he is placed in because of his fairly solitary lifestyle, which has made him uncomfortable with taking orders or direction from anyone else. Despite this trait, Gael is willing to listen to advice when he can't solve a problem on his own. Such advice, however, must be extremely carefully phrased so as to avoid giving the Underneather the impression that you're trying to usurp his position as captain.

Gael is extremely protective of his airship, the Otherworld, if only because it is his sole method of livelihood. Piloting the vessel is an honor Gael permits only to himself, and any direct contact with the steering apparatus from another's hand will most likely result in the offending appendage being chopped clean off. The ship is Gael's one true love, and he would gladly die for it if need be. Gael also harbors an innate hatred for those with wings who remain subservient to their governments in all things. This results from a combination of jealousy and general prejudice against the topside citites. While having wings won't automatically cause Gael to rule somebody out as a potential ally or customer, it doesn't help earn his trust either. Due to his prejudice against the military and ruling bodies of Carn and Tealia, he's more then happy to provide assistance to fugitives from either government... for a nominal fee, of course. After all, heroism doesn't come cheap. Fares to travel with Gael on his airship are particularly high for those with wings, and those who lead him into dangerous or hazardous situations are likely to have a sharp increase slapped on their bill. The one sure way to cause Gael to lose his temper outside of messing with his airship is to double-cross him in a business arrangement, as such double-dealing will most likely result in a mad witch hunt for the offending party, culminating with their eventual forking over the cash rather then deal with an angry Underneather with a big sword.

Truth be told, whether they have wings or no Gael is very protective of younger children and women. He believes that all children deserve a chance to grow up, no matter where they come from, and is equally willing to protect women due to a promise given to his parents long ago. While he is less-then-chivalrous most of the time, Gael is quite willing to ensure that any passenger on his airship (or temporary member of his crew) won't get themselves injured.

History: "Mamma, why don't we fly away like the people in the sky do?"

"They have wings, son. We don't."

"Can I have wings someday, Mamma?"

"No, Gael. There are some things you have to be born with."

"What did I get instead, then?"

"A smart mouth."

-Humorous exchange between five-year-old Gael and his mother.

As a small child of about five, Gael was naively fascinated with the cities in the sky and dreamt of building a machine to fly there someday after discovering the inability of an Underneather to grow wings. His parents, though a little apprehensive about his motivations, encouraged his mechanical fascinations. Gael showed a remarkable talent at understanding diagrams for his age, so his machine-salvaging father referred him to a senior member of the gang his parents had affiliated themselves with for protection, the "Black Plague". The leader of the plague, a fairly skilled airship pilot, agreed to take Gael under his wing once the child was old enough to learn the basics of airship mechanics. Elated, Gael ran off to play while his parents prepared to close up their mechanic's shop. It was at that moment that a member of the Tealian military made a surprise entrance. The soldier had been sent to investigate the rumours of a couple in the underneath who were attempting to use salvaged parts from ancient machines to recreate technology that had been lost before the cataclysms that led to the Y.Z. era. His country, it seemed, had interest in recreating a weapon from a firing pin found half-buried in a nearby desert, and wondered whether the two had any additional information that could be used in their efforts. Gael stared in awe as the burly soldier strode into the tent that served as his parents's temporary business headquarters. Despite repeated offers and threats from the guard, however, Gael's parents stated that even if they had the necessary information that could be used for the creation of this weapon, they could not divulge it as the code of the Black Plague explicity stated that providing a weapon to anyone outside of the gang could be branded a traitor. Enraged, the Tealian guard winged away while muttering dire warnings. Fearing trouble, Gael's parents decided to move their "home" closer to the tents of the rest of the gang.

That night, a group of Underneathers known as the "Rat's Tails" launched an attack on the Black Plague. While the larger Plague gang managed to repulse the invaders, they sustained quite a few casualties. Among those who died were Gael's parents. Gael was forever haunted by the scene, along with a final conversation that night, when his mother had divulged the information that she was pregnant.

"Mamma, you're having another baby?"

"Yes. I think it's going to be a girl."

"What makes you think that, Mamma?"

"Because it doesn't move around as often as you did."

"Daddy, what should I do if it's a baby sister? I've never had a sister before!"

"Well.... Since it's a girl, you should take care of her."

"Yes, that's right, dear. Gael, this little sister is going to need someone to look out for her when Daddy and I can't watch out for her. She's going to be so small and scared. She needs someone strong to look out for her."

"Like me!"

"That's right, exactly like you. Now promise me you'll take care of her, okay?"

"Yeah, I promise! Mom, when she's old enough, can I take my little sister on the airship, can I, huh?"

-Gael and his parents, one night before their death.

Gael was horrified. He hadn't protected his sister, and he'd broken his promise to his parents. Not only that, but his parents weren't around to say sorry to anymore. They were gone, and he didn't understand why. It was then that he remembered the Tealian soldier. Even though he knew that the people who had attacked were Underneathers, Gael's five-year-old mind couldn't shake off the image of the angry soldier. From that day forward he associated the unsuspecting Tealian with the death of his parents, and this slowly grew into his current prejudice against those working with the governments of the winged city. Fortunately, the gang that Gael had been born into accepted the responsibility of raising him. Gael's less-then-ideal upbringing eventually transformed his personality, and he began to dwell less heavily on the death of his parents. By the time he was twelve, Gael went through the initiation ceremony that resulted in his tattoo and was officially accepted as an adult member of the Black Plague. As promised, he apprenticed himself to the leader of the gang who taught him everything he now knows about how to fly and maintain an airship. During this time, Gael became fairly confrontational and began scuffling with others of his age, a normal occurence. Eventually, these scuffles developed into full-blown "scraps", several of which took place with other members of the Plague. This brought Gael into conflict with the rest of the gang, and resulted in his splitting away from them at age twenty-two, when he discovered the remains of a zeppelin in the outside desert. After acquiring parts from several different sources, not all of which were reputable, Gael was able to construct his first airship, the "Otherworld", a vessel that could easily lift enough cargo to be used for smuggling runs but was simple enough in its controls that it could be crewed by one man.

The death of Gael's parents still remained at the back of his mind, unconsciously guiding his actions. He began to take interest in machines that had been lost in the cataclysms, as well as developing an almost reflexive urge to protect any child or woman in danger due to his final promise to care for his unborn sister. The loss of his parents had left one thing more important than that, however: it awaken Gael's latent abilities to control Fionus, as well as partially awakening his Plufael and Negafael, both of whom were eventually fully awakened during one of his many fights.

Plufael

Name: Fortuna

Appearance: A tall, blonde woman clad in a shimmering blue dress, Fortuna brings to mind images of a gypsy fortuneteller with her drizzling ringlets and large, hoop earrings. She carries no weapon of any sort, and is completely and utterly defenseless compared with her heavily-armed host. Despite this, her eyes spark with a hidden flame which she will unleash if forced to and usually freely gives over to Gael when he requests it of her. Her neck and wrists are covered with thick, gold jewelry which jangles as she moves. Despite her apparent frailness, Fortuna is almost as agile as her Reila host, and much better at blending into a well-to-do crowd. A homespun, pink shawl draped over her shoulders completes the fortuneteller image, as well as a large, crystal orb held in her left hand. She and her Negafael counterpart Diana manifest themselves in an interesting way when Gael needs extra power: both of them channel their essences into flames, which erupt from Gael's shoulderblades and give him the appearance of having flaming wings. When materializing out of her own desire, she usually either transforms Gael's body or appears as a crystal ball bearing her face.

Personality: Where Gael is hard and blustery, Fortuna is soft-spoken and submissive. She is more than willing to follow the orders of others, despite her individual views on the current situation, and is more likely to whisper soft advice in Gael's ears then to bludgeon him over the head with her ideas. She seems to have a limited clairyvoyant ability as she is able to instinctively sense when a situation is about to turn sour, though this may simply be her reflection of Gael's tendency to charge straight into a problem, no matter how difficult it is. Fortuna is much more of a strategist then either Gael or Artemis, tending to be the one who works out problems when the body-sharing trio needs to escape. During these instances, she assumes a much more commanding role in the affairs of things. She is submissive to first Gael and then Diana in that order of importance, but seems to abdicate less from fear or shyness and rather from a natural inclination to let others take the reins.

Negafael

Name: Diana

Appearance: Tall and slender, Diana's bright blue eyes and tousled brown hair suggest an image of mischief in contrast to her sister Fael's more refined calmness. The girl is clad in what appears to be a deerskin loincloth and top that serve to protect her modesty. Along her back is strung a large longbow from which flaming arrows are often launched when she materializes into the real world. Like her sister, Diana has the ability to materialize herself as a large, flaming wing, which Gael can tap into and use as a booster for his Fionus. When materializing on her own, she usually appears as her own silver bow. Gael has often taken advantage of this, though unlike Diana he's a horrendously poor shot.

Personality: More mischevious then downright evil, Diana discards the image of a Negafael as "Fiend Incarnate" in favor of a more toned-down "Imp Incarnate" or "Spirit of Annoyance". She thoroughly delights in driving her host absolutely bonkers while he works upon the Otherworld, causing Gael to comically snap and shout a threat somewhat along the lines of the quote provided at the beginning of this sign-up. In fact, Diana tends to bicker with Gael often enough that this futile shout has almost become a catch-phrase of the Sky Pilot. While Diana tends to dominate over her sister, this position of authority is mostly just for show as it is very rare that Gael will take advice from either sister, expecting both to allow him to make his own decisions instead. When she feels scorned by Gael or anyone else for that matter, Diana will withdraw into a remote corner of her Reila's mind and sulk until Gael asks for her help, at which time it will usually be tearfully denied until Gael apologizes. Naturally, this only serves to infuriate Gael further.

I think there's been a character created from pretty much everywhere, they just don't stick around to roleplay them. xD

Wow, I'm gone for a day and I get back and see 'Act III' and I die of fright, thinking I've missed the whole she-bang. xDD

I guess I sort of forgot to introduce Alicel's negafael.... *Fish'd*

I don't even remember her plufael's name 50% of the time...

My main character, Reid, is actually from the Underneath, although he works for Tealia. I guess I'll set up the forms for two of my characters while I'm here... Just to clarify, a "Fallen" is someone who's had their wings removed.

Reila 1
Name: Reid Davies
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Nationality: Underneath - Current resides in Flazure
Class: Fallen: Pro Skyboarder - Archai Squad - Assassin
Mahstion Type: Wionus
Weapon Class: Stinger x2, Sword, Bow

Appearance:
Over the five years, Reid has gained an additional 6", bringing him to 5'11" in height. While his green eyes still remain as they always had been, he abandoned his spiky brown hairstyle for one that involves having his hair shoulder length, and tied up in a single ponytail in the back. His brown bangs tend to hand droopily over his eyes, so he is often found moving them out of his line of vision through a variety of means. One look into Reid's eyes reveals quite a bit about his personality. They have a sort of glow that implies he's a generally happy, calm person, but they also create a cold vibe that implies he has no problem with taking the life of a human being. His time with the Archai Squad has created a new understanding of the truth that a warrior needs to wear clothing that they are comfortable in. While he spent a lot of time in his own form, he also spends a lot of time in his fael, Mistral's body, as he uses that form as an alias. Because of that, he had no choice but to discover an outfit that would fit both forms comfortably. In the end, he decided on the simplest possible outfit. A cloak. Reid's white cloak, covering his entire body and equipped with a hood, made out of the softest and most durable of materials, was the perfect solution to his fashion endeavor. The symbol of the phoenix tribe, a flaming bird, is sketched into the back in silver thread, and consumes most of the back portion. He chose to wear white because it was the colour of clothing his friend Rod had provided for him before he died, and the phoenix symbol is on the back because it was designed by one of Reid's closest friends, which just also happens to be a phoenix. In addition, he wears a pair of tight, black gloves. Embedded in the center of each one of these gloves is a small blade that Reid likes to call a "stinger". The blades are useful assassination tools, as the tips have been dipped in a poisonous substance. The blades themselves are also black, so if they were to become visible, it would be difficult to see them with the glove in the background. He also carries with him, placed horizontally across his lower back, a sword. The sword appears more like a long, standard katana than anything, although the hilt is once again lined with silver. The scabbard for this blade is white like his cloak. Finally, since Reid has no wings, he utilizes a long white board at about 5'5" in length, and about as wide as his torso. It has footholds in the center, and the belly of the board is smooth and white. The board itself is made out of a durable material known as taniet. Attached to upper side of the board is the longbow he uses in a location that makes it easy to reach.. He had a white quiver in between the board and her back for easy arrow access when need be. Reid has also been testing a pair of synthetic wings in production by Flazure scientists, but that is classified information.

Personality:
The years have come and gone, and through these years, Reid's personality has changed significantly. While he is still as sarcastic as ever, his voice having a sarcastic undertone, he has learned to abandon his lone wolf persona that he used to utilize so often. Abandoning the traits that once easily provoked the boy into fits of anger, he has taken on a much calmer and relaxed personality, as his line of work requires it. Overall, he has become a much more carefree person as well, not really worrying about the thoughts and opinions of anyone outside of his squad. However, the same aspect of his personality leads him to be quite submissive to the will of his friends, especially Flaire since they're an item. Despite Flaire's controlling nature, Reid is quite happy with her and is generally in a good mood when they are together. More often than not, she is all he can talk about, which tends to get on the nerves of his colleagues. This bond he has with Flaire is also his greatest weakness. If they're fighting, he's a mess. If she's in trouble, he'll do anything to help her, including turning against other friends. Because of this, Sven and Ellianne constantly need to keep an eye on the couple, or else they could lead to a mission failure. He tries not to show it, but ever since he abandoned his friends in Beta, he has held a deep guilt within himself. He wanted to tell his friends he was okay, that what he was doing was something that required him to be away, but doing that would jepordize the mission, and thus he could not.

History:
Ever since he was little, Reid had an interest in mahstion based technology. Flying machines, refrigerators, even lights, he found it all fascinating. He originally attempted to pursue a career in work in this area, but living in poverty in the Underneath made that extremely difficult. Reid's favorite pastime was sky surfing, a sport he invented himself with the use of wionus. He found he could use wionus to lift a board into the air, and control it's height, direction, and speed. One day, the group of sky pirates know as the Raven Claws found him boarding, and they decided to recruit him. Here he got to tinker with mahstion technology all he wanted, and soon took up work as the ship's mechanic. At the age of thirteen, however, he abandoned ship and took up work for Tealia as a special forces agent. He never revealed to anyone why he decided to do this, but that didn't change the fact that he did. Five years ago, he was assigned to a mission regarding the safe capture of the Carn sacrifice, Rosaline Dian. He accomplished his mission, but at the cost of having to kill his own friend, Rod. Shortly after this, Rosaline was captured by a creature that called himself an apostle, and Reid, along with a group others, became the first people to ever discover their faels. After overcoming many battles, they eventually defeated the apostles, and Reid was blackmailed into escorting Ellianne. [Continues in Joint History]

Plufael
Name: Mistral
Appearance:
Mistral is just a bit shorter than her reila, standing at 5'9" in comparison. The fael that was once a delicate little girl has grown into what most would consider a fine young woman. Her hair, a rich green in colour, is straight and falls just below her shoulders, her eyes the same shade of green. Her skin has also taken on a less pale colouring and has turned to what you would consider an average skin tone. Her frame does not appear as weak as it once was, and has grown to your average proportions of a girl around the age of nineteen. She wears nothing but a white sundress, a straw hat, and a pair of white flipflops, for the realm of Reid's mind is usually a warm one.
Personality:
Mistral was an eccentric girl once upon a time, and to this very day she remains the same. Never afraid to jump to a challenge, the other half of Reid is impatient and arrogant. Although her arrogance is only out of pure humor. She does not really feel full of herself, she just likes to judge the reactions of others based on her behaviour. She becomes bored easily, which generally leads to back and forth conversations of nothingness between Reid and herself. Most would describe her as childish and naive, but it's these features that makes her Reid's opposites.

Negafael
Name: Maelstrom
Appearance: Maelstrom has been missing ever since the incident five years ago, so an accurate appearance and personality is unavailable.
Personality:

Reila 2
Name: Ellianne Arlene Ducharme
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Nationality: Flazure
Class: Wyvern Priestess - Archai Squad - Strategist
Mahstion Type: Specialized Wation: Ice
Weapon Class: Mahstion Pistol x2

Appearance:
Ellianne really is an oddity of a girl appearance wise, but only because she has so many unique features. To begin, her hair is a shimmering silver colour that seems to sparkle in the sunlight. It is styled so that it retains a bouncy, yet slightly curled appearance, and it falls down to her knees. The bangs closer to the sides of her head fall down to her shoulders, while the rest of her bangs fall slightly over her forehead. Her eyes, while both blue in colour, take on different shades. The truth behind this is that she is blind in her right eye, which is why the colour takes on a duller, greyish blue than the bright left eye that appears to be full of life. To add to her disability, she is incapable of speaking, so thus she resorts to other means of communication. Writing, expressions, and the little sign language she has taught to her friends are a few means in which she can get her point across. If she could, she'd have her fael talk for her, but since he is also a part of her, he is mute as well. Anyways, because of this she is very expressive with her face, which many believe to be quite cute and innocent, as well as her hands. As far as her body goes, she is a very frail girl. She is thin, and has been physically weak since birth. She has even been advised against going out on her missions multiple times, because in reality she is terminally ill. She endures a disease known as "celtionis", which slowly eats away at her strength. It's been foreseen that she will die when she is 24, but doctors say there are many things that could trigger an even earlier death. With the new plague attacking mahstion users, she is placed at an even higher risk, even though it doesn't have a serious effect on those with faels. Although this fact remains unknown to anyone but herself and Kayle. That aside, Ellianne is a generally beautiful girl, although she doesn't feel that way. 5'9" height, weak body, half blind, mute, and in comparison to Flaire, not that endowed. Her self esteem isn't really that high. As a priestess of Flazure, she isn't required to wear anything particular. Her preferred outfit consists of a sleeveless, white blouse, laced with blue bows on the wrists and at the neck, along with a long, soft blue skirt that reaches her ankles. On her feet she wears a pair of blue flipflops. She also has a pair of stud earrings with a blue gemstone in each piece. As for her pistols, she keeps the black weapons in a brown bag she has thrown over her right shoulder.

Personality:
While Ellianne can't verbally express herself, you can learn a lot about her just by observing her behaviour. In her mind, she is a very worrisome girl. If she isn't worried about this, she's afraid of that. Despite this, she always tries to put on a brave face since when people think there is something wrong with her, it is difficult for her to communicate why. Naturally, she feels the most comfortable around Reid, Flaire, and Sven, although she hates herself for keeping her illness a secret from them. If they found out, what would they do? Try to keep her off of field work? Constantly worry about her? She doesn't want that. She wants to live her life like a normal person until her time comes, and she wants to live that life by helping the innocent who are imprisoned and endangered. She also made a promise to Flaire that she'd help her become a suitable princess, so she wants to see that through. She is a very courteous and polite girl, always concerned with the well being of others despite her own condition. While she has all of these friends, she feels very lonely. She just feels like she's missing something. That said, she is very jealous of Flaire for being so close to Reid. She has had a thing for him since the day they met, but before she decided she wanted to inform him of her feelings, it was too late. Because of this, she always feels awkward around the couple. Despite this, she does have a very strong relationship with Reid, as he is always helping her communicate with others.

History:
When Ellianne's mother gave birth to her, she died in the process. The girl was born into a world where her people were treated as slaves, and thus were always on the move alongside the wyvern tribe, whom the phoenix considered to be their brethren despite the difference in wings. As the girl grew, a strange ability surfaced. She was able to see a short ways into the future, which was more than enough to protect the traveling group of refugees from immediate danger. It was at this point that everyone began to fear for her life. She was a very frail girl, and the possession of such an ability would place a hit on her back for sure. Aware of her frailty, the girl took to dancing in order to keep herself at least somewhat fit. As time went on, she grew to be friends with a phoenix girl named Flaire. Ellianne idolized this girl because of her intriguingly strong will, something a frail girl like Ellianne would never come to possess. Yup, all was sweet and sugary in her life when her father was murdered, and Flaire was brutally beaten by a group of thugs during their stay in Beta. The girl went into shock and lost her voice. Her life went even farther downhill when her missing voice prevented her from telling a man's fortune. As punishment, she had her right eye held up to a burning candle until it became incapable of sight. she would have lost her other one as well, had Flaire not saved her at the last minute. Shortly afterwards, Ellianne began experiencing visions of a cathedral in Carn. It was calling to her, but there was no plausible way she'd make the entire trip by herself with her handicap. Flaire volunteered to travel with the girl, but the leader would not permit just the two of them to go alone. That's when Reid was introduced into the mix... [Continues in Joint History]

Plufael
Name: Alhouette
Appearance:
Alhouette looks, to be quite honest, almost like an angel. His hair is a rich, golden blonde, which falls down to his shoulders, and his eyes are bright and blue. His silver wyvern wings are often described as radiant, for they give off a special glow. Physically, Alhouette is as frail as his reila, and just as mute. He is dressed in nothing but a white cloak that bears resemblence to Reid's. In reality, he had seen Reid's and decided he wanted to wear one similar.

Reila 3
Name: Flaire Teluia
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Nationality: Flazure
Class: Phoenix Princess - Archai Squad - Assassin
Mahstion Type: Specialized Fionus - Lightning
Weapon Class: Dagger

Appearance:
Flaire has kept up height wise with Reid all of these years, and stands at the height of 5'11" just as her boyfriend does. Her eyes, always bright and full of energy, are what most would call a rich or firey red colour. Her hair, straight and tied into two pigtails that reach to her ankles, slightly spiraling near the bottom, is also this colour of red. Flaire wasn't aware of it until four years ago, but her unique colouring denoted her heritage as royalty amoungst the phoenix tribe. She is a very beautiful and attractive young lady, with the body of an athlete that still makes her appear feminine. While she isn't extremely well endowed, her figure is still noticable. While she is designated as one of Archai's assassins, her choice of attire seems unsuitable for the job. However, her role in Flazure requires her to wear such clothes as she essentially the countries Princess, although her existance is hidden from the general public. From the top down, she wears a high collared manteau, cut and hemmed so that it only reaches her elbows, the white and gray frabric lined with black frills and held together at her neck by a black ribbon. Beneath the manteau is a plain white dress, with wide that are two-toned white and grey. These sleeves are a crucial portion of her outfit, for it is there that she hides her two daggers. Beneath the dress is a petticoat with a floral, lacey pattern, and her boots are just white heeled boots with round buttons, with black lace tied into a bow on each boot. Around her neck she wears a neacklace with a black chain, a red gem cut in the shape of a bird hanging from the chain. Her daggers have diamond shaped, red tipped blades. The blades are about 25cm long, and the are attatched to brown hilts complete with miniature guards. Within the sleeves of her dress she has scabbards embedded in a manner that only a specific shake of her arms would send the blades falling into her grasp. She doesn't like to wear this lacey attire, but as her role as what is essentially a princess exists, she is required to learn the ropes of nobility, even on her missions. To compromise, beneath the dress she wears a skin tight white shirt and shorts for better fighting performance. Her wings, approximately five feet each, are layered from top to bottom with red, orange, and yellow feathers.

Personality:
"Free spirit" are probably the two words most of Flaire's acquiantances would use to describe the phoenix girl. Raised in a rough and tumble environment, she developed a very loud and upfront personality that always got her into trouble. She is impatient, rude, demanding, noisy, and she's all around trouble in an attractive package. She's been improving however, and the more she is trained in manners, the better she becomes. As the possible future ruler of Flazure, it's imparative she abandon her street lifestyle. At first glance, with the way she is dressed and how calm she can be, you wouldn't expect her to be a loose cannon, but she is. That is, unless she is around Reid. Reid seems to act as a reason for her to be calm, and she doesn't seem to act up as much or as badly when he is in her presence. This is one of the best examples of how much she values her friends. Flaire doesn't want to put the safety of her friends at risk, so she behaves. Despite how immature she may seem, she also has a very mature side that is seen a lot when she is around children. She has many qualities of a good mother, and she often volunteers at an orphanage along with Reid. The two actually live together with a ten year old named Kanna, who was left without parents after the raid in Beta that ended up in the capture of 54 phoenix and wyvern citizens. During a mission, she can remain completely calm, as it is one of the requirements of her work.

History:
Flaire, unlike Ellianne, was born into a life of slavery. She, along with her parents and older brother, were pets of a noble Tealian family. The same family, I might add, that Reid's best friend Rod used to be apart of before Reid was forced to kill him. The family was confined to nothing but a small underground cell for their entire term, only to be fed once a day and allowed out when the family had company over. Even then, they were permitted to remain in a cage only. When Flaire turned 8, she became of legal age to be sold over the black market. During these eight years of life, however, she had become quite close with the son of her owners, Rod. The boy, not wanting to see the girl pawned off to the highest bidder, snuck the phoenix child out of the home and released her into the city, where she eventually met Lional, the leader of a traveling refugee group who took her in. While traveling in this group, Flaire became good friends with a frail wyvern girl that was a year younger than her. The girl, quite remarkably, was capable of seeing the future. As the years passed, and Flaire grew older, she began to learn how to sing. Her voice was naturally melodic, which quite contrasted the strong willed, rough-and-tumble personality she had been forming during her stay with the group. Eventually, they settled in Beta for an inexplicable amount of time, and Ellianne suffered through many trials that Flaire was there to help her overcome. When the need for an escort for Ellianne arose, Flaire was quick to jump to the challenge. However, it wasn't until Reid was thrown into the mix that she actually was permitted participance in the journey. [Continues in Joint History]

JOINT HISTORY
After the incident in Beta five years ago, Reid was forced to escort Ellianne to Carn for reasons unknown. Because of his wanted status at the time for kidnapping Rosaline, he was forced to assume Mistral's form while in public under the alias of Ally Penbur. It took months for the three to understand where they had to go, but eventually they stumbled upon a church in Carn that bore no ill will against phoenix and wyvern kind. It was here Ellianne learned the fact that her mother had been a priestess, and it was her duty to carry on the role since her mother had passed away. Because of this, the group was forced to remain at this church for almost six months. During this time, Flaire and Reid were forced to spend a lot of time together, despite their original dislike of each other. They eventually grew into training partners, and from there the kindling of a relationship began to form. Also during these six months, a soldier of Tealia, Sven Sarate, found Reid and accused him of treason. Reid explained his reasons for leaving, and his newfound goals of rescuing those being enslaved, and so Sven decided to join the group.

Not long after Ellianne had finished her training as a priestess, the four met Kayle Spar, the leader of a Renegade group known as Flazure. Their goal was to establish a country for refugees to live, but they needed some sort of political influence. It was at that time that Reid turned to Rosaline Dian and Ryan Zeratos, the Princess and Prince of Carn and Tealia respectively, for aid. He got them to get permission from the leaders of the two countries to create such a region, and then it was done. Things began rough, with slave auctioneers coming into the country to take citizens away and such, but as the country's population grew, so did the amount of security provided by Carn and Tealia, until the country was finally safe. As a result, however, terrorist organizations began to pop up with the key idea of eliminating this country. After all, these creatures fetched a hefty price, and giving them a safe haven was placing the overall economy in danger. This is about when the Archai Squad was put into place. The Archai Squad was an anti-terrorist and overall protection squad charged with the task of rescuing those enslaved as well as taking on various other missions, usually at the request of Carn's Princess. Reid, Flaire, Ellianne, and Sven were all assigned to this squad. It is also notable that Flaire and Reid began their real relationship around this time. Placed in an intelligence role, Reid was required to take the identity of Ally Penbur once more, only this time as a professional skyboarder. Many of the richer men sponsored and bet on this sport, so it was an ideal location to gather intelligence. The problem was, he couldn't compromise his identity.

A few months after the establishment of the Archai Squad, when background checks on the members were held, a very interesting and surprising piece of information was unveiled. Flaire was the daughter of the original leaders of the phoenix, which technically made her the princess. Her eyes and hair were enough proof of that, but originally nobody had been really sure.

Secondary Characters under my control
Rosaline Dian - Princess of Carn - Deceased
Sven Sarate - Archai Squad Member
Ailia Davies - Royal Guard, Reid's sister
Ryan Zeratos - Prince of Tealia
Kayle Spar - Leader of the Archai Squad

Reila
Name: Adela Ciaccio
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Nationality: Tealia
Class: Tealian Forces Lieutenant
Mahstion Type: Dation
Weapon Class: Mahstion Gun
Appearance: Over the years, Adela's teal hair has darkened to become more of a dark viridian-cyan shade, while her eyes still retain their original languid lavender color. Though her darkened hair color is considerably noticeable, the feature that any veteran Tealian Soldier from the days of her youth would notice first hand, is the serious expression that Adela is constantly wearing. Her sharp eyes no longer glitter with cheer and one can tell that the young girl who was once a prankster and clown has become a responsible and cold person who lives for rules and principles. Adela's hair has been grown out longer, and she no longer flips it out to the right, instead, lets it naturally curl slightly in, leaving a piece between her eyes so she can easily hide her expression. Her new attire matches her fresh need for order, as the palette consists entirely of gray tones. Her turtleneck dress is sleeveless, and the main portion is gray. The dress is buttoned up and down the front, six in total with three black buttons on either side, and this double breasted overwrap is white, outlined with the same shade of black as the round buttons. The dress has a ring of cloth, much like a belt loop, on the right waist, and there's a white gun holster strapped through the loop. The holster is worn and obviously treated in a very rough manner, holding the Adela's mahstion gun. The holster also has a small pocket on the inside, secured safely shut with a zipper, and the young girl gets awfully sore if anyone other than her tries to open it. Her old red bandanna is also tied to the same loop as the holster, and the white and gold designs are stained red from Rod's blood, which she failed to wash off. Adela wears a pair of tight charcoal colored leggings underneath her dress, though one might mistake them for tights, as she wears a pair of black knee high boots with a white tongue that stretches from the gray rubber toe to her knee. The boots have no laces, though they're designed to work with both laces and the zipper, the latter of which is the method Adela prefers to use to keep the boots on her feet. Though she wears nothing on her left arm, her right is covered entirely by a wrist warmer similar to her leggings and color and fabric. The wrist warmer reaches just up to her underarm, and the top stretches to cover most of her hand, leaving only her fingers visible. This extension is kept in place by a string that wraps around the base of her fingers. Adela's once childish figure is replaced with a slimmer, taller version, and though it obvious that she's matured in both mind and body, her mind has outstripped her body in the sense of maturing by a long shot.

Crude Character Sheet

Personality: Once, Adela was a cheerful and mischievous girl, but no longer. Her strong sense of responsibility is matched with her need for law, organization, and prompt compliance with orders. Any sense of humor has long dissipated, but even though she's serious, her personality still retains similar traits from her past. She is not a calm person, restless and impatient, and must always be kept busy, otherwise she becomes irritable. When she's running errands and the such, she is moderately pleasant and easy to get along with, though she doesn't often smile. However, when Adela is simply lounging around, she loses her temper easily, snapping at almost everything and anything. Much unlike her old self, who was lazy and hated doing work. She has a hard time conveying her feelings, such as sadness or pain from behind her well-practiced face of indifference. Easily annoyed by idle people, Adela cannot stand not feeling useful, or at the very least, not making other people useful. Thus, she tends to rub off as a bit bossy. Adela no longer overreacts to things, and instead tries to think of a logical way to solve a problem. Instead of being immature by playing pranks that cause physical pain, she instead speaks with blunt and thorny words to push away the people she dislikes. She is still an excellent actor, and can very easily formulate a completely different exterior, from blunt, to graceful, to childish. One thing is stable about her new personality, and that would be the fact that Adela, no matter what happens, does not cry. Not even fake tears come to her eyes anymore, and she resists any genuine ones that may prick her eyes with all her will-power. Adela is still spineless and cowardly, though with the improvement of her skills and fighting techniques, it's harder to tell. She is defenseless against words though, and often harbors a hatred for talkative people as a consequence.

History: For all her life, Adela has been essentially independent. During her youngest years, her mother was busy with work, and her father was often in and out, disappearing for weeks on end and returning home for only hours before he left once again. At the age of six, Adela's father stopped returning to the small home in Tealia entirely, leaving her alone in the house, as her mother, Commander Milo, opted to stay at the Tealian Base more often than not. Due to her invisible wings, she was often bullied as a child, accused of being an Underneather, and thus she was left both independent, and friendless. She fell back on her negafael, who would ease her lack of confidence as he posed as her plufael, having overpowered her plufael rather easily by feeding off Adela's feelings of hatred and loneliness. Adela trained vigorously to get into the Tealian Army, to be able to show her mother her resentment towards her, to show the other kids that she was better than them. After the final battle with the apostles, Adela returned to Tealia, though did not go back to her home, that was essentially abandoned. She trained herself again, and waited an entire year for Reid, who was her arranged fiancé to return. Only after a year did someone finally realize that Adela was unaware that Reid was a deserter, and not planning on coming back ever. This news hit hard, and the crushed emotional state she was left in opened her eyes to how weak she was, relying on someone else for the hope to keep moving on.

Adela resolved to rely on nothing but permanent things, like herself and rules. She trained twice as hard so that when she next met Reid, she could capture him again. For five years, she toughened up enough to be promoted to Lieutenant, specializing in using her mahstion gun, and a type of fighting style that focused on speed and flexibility to help improve the usefulness of her mahstion gun. She has neglected to visit anyone from the apostle hunt during these five years, avoiding Faewyn, Alicel, Rosaline, and Aertan. Adela even shunned her old friend Shiraume, who was a piece of the apostle Villa, in an attempt to rid herself of a distasteful past. She has also avoided talking to her faels, and has not let her faels control her body at all, contributing to her goal of not needing anyone else to live normally.

Plufael
Name: Xaviae
Appearance: A strange sight to behold, Xaviae is similar to Jeckt only by the fact that they both share the same yellow eyes, though his are wide and curious, instead of the narrow calculating kind that adorns Jeckt's face. His skin is tanned, burnt from the sun which he can freely stand in. Depending on his mood, Xaviae's hair changes between three colors, white when he's beaten or sad, black when he's angry, and orange for any other mood. He rarely does much to tame his wavy hair, letting it hang between his eyes and around his ears. He never lets it grow any further than the base of his neck though, and keeps the pieces that hide parts of his face shorter than at least the tip of his nose. He wears a pair of baggy black pants, held up by a bright orange belt, and leaves two skinny yellow belts hanging across his waist, while on his torso is covered by bandages wrapped around his pectorals and part of his abdomen. While chained to the tree, the bandages seemed loose and were stained with blood, but now they're fitted neatly, and are free of blood stains. After being freed from the tree, Xaviae wears a white button up T-shirt, which he leaves un-buttoned. His arms, hands, and fingers are also bandaged, but the reason for that is unclear. Around his right wrist is the silver butterfly necklace, as he doesn't wear it around his neck due to the fact that Adela has never worn her necklace before.

Personality: Xaviae is honest to a fault, and even the most dimwitted person can tell when Xaviae is lying. He's rather clumsy, due to being strapped to the mother tree for years, and is somewhat insecure about his own power. But his competitive spirit against Jeckt is unrivaled, and courage is fueled without end whenever Xaviae feels as if he might be beaten at something by his "Greatest Nemesis". For the past five years, Xaviae has done little more than sit in front of Jeckt, who is currently the one chained to the tree, and watch the never ceasing sunlight reflect off the silver butterfly necklace that he took from Jeckt when it was deemed that he was the true plufael. Due to his lack of speech, he's grown to be slightly reclusive, and finds it difficult to speak to others comfortably. Xaviae particularly has trouble whenever Jeckt, who likes to watch Xaviae writhe helplessly, brings up the subject of Mistral, due to the fact that though Adela tries her best to ignore and forget Reid, he can't bring himself to do the same.

Negafael
Name: Jeckt
Appearance: A sickly sort of pale, Jeckt has truly, never been touched by sunlight. His body disappears, clothes and all, when light other than moonlight reaches him. His black hair, cut into smooth layers that frame his face hang in his chartreuse yellow feline eyes. His attire consists of a black mandarin collared sleeveless shirt, the silk fabric lined with gold and embroidered with gold thread. On the lower half of his body is a simple pair of loose-fitting trousers that are much too long for him, and not only drag on the floor, but bunch up at his heels as well. On his feet are a pair of silk slippers made in the same style as his shirt, and though human eyes cannot see them, he has an iron shackle on his right wrist, the sixth link of chain broken.
Personality: Jeckt seems to be the fael who caused Adela's proficiency in acting, as he's the master of deceit. Though it's hard to tell, with his disarming kind smile and sleepy look that softens his sharp features, Jeckt is incredibly manipulative. He'll do anything to everything to acquire what he wants, and is ruthless in the way he does it. Sadistic, he enjoys taunting Adela's plufael, Xaviae, as his calm and even attitude rival Xaviae's easily infuriated personality. Though he does relish the rare moments when he and Xaviae have the same goal, he prefers the times when he's in control of Adela, looking down on the plufael.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Reila
Name: Lazarus (Lazus) Emidio Javor
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Nationality: Gregar
Class: Scholar
Mahstion Type: Specialized Eation, Plants
Weapon Class: What may be called a homing pendulum, this weapon is basically a shard of crystal attatched to the end of a thin, hollowed wire, wrapped up inside a metal arm guard with pointed scales overlapping each other. Much like the skin of a dragon, the arm guard acts like a shield and a weapon. Lazarus can control the path of the wire and crystal by using his Eation magic, and filling up the hollow space inside the wire with the finest grains of sand, can use the thin wire like a cutting device if he must. He leaves a grain of sand upon people he considers important, (normally behind their earlobe) so that he can find them by searching for his mahstion signature. This ability fails however, if there are too many marked people in the vicinity. The downside of this weapon however, is that if Lazarus is faced against a large opponent, the small and pathetic wire and crystal can do virtually nothing, and Lazarus is forced to fall back onto his mahstion. Lazarus cannot use his specialized Eation without the crystal shard, as he uses it as a channeling type of device, and without it he falls back onto plain Eation that is considerably weaker due to his lack of experience with using plain earth.

(I'd compare it to a mixture between Loz's electric thing in FFVII; AC, and Lyzerg's oversoul in Shaman King, if you've seen both of the series.)

Appearance: Charcoal hair, the wispy pieces standing on edge in the back and hanging between a pair of steely gray eyes that have unaturally small pupils. These are the main features that many come to notice first of Lazarus. But then again, it's not unnatural for Lazarus to attract attention, even if the way he looks and dresses seems rather normal compared to others. He simply has a flair for standing out in an undescribable manner. It may be his kind gaze that over comes the cold of his eyes, or his sleepy look that seems to never focus on anything at all. He has soft features, along with extremely pale skin, thanks to his habit of shutting himself up and reading reports and fables for weeks on end. His eyes are sometimes hidden behind a pair of silver rimmed glasses, which he uses for reading. His clothes may change in color, but never in style. His basic clothing consists of a thin sleeveless shirt, with a high pointed collar and split coat-tails, that are found in both front and back. The front is held together by criss-crossing black laces, though he leaves the top two laces undone, exposing two inches of blinding white skin below his collarbone, and on the upper back of every one of these identical tops is the imprint of a small heart, outlined in black. On his right shoulder is a tattoo of a wing, one that looks nothing like his fragile and thin wings. It resembles the pointed arc designs on the legs of his gray pants, and where the wing should connect to a person's back, it connects instead to what is an unmistakeable skeleton key. Both this tattoo and the silver ring he wears upon his left forefinger have an important meaning to him, and the meaning is written in one of the seven diaries he keeps scattered in the care of other scholars. Upon Lazarus' feet are shoes that are the exact shade of his pants, and have the continuation of the wing patterns on his legs etched into the shiny leather-like material. He straps his homing pendulum and arm-guard upon his right forearm with five black belts that appear out of the edges of the arm guard.

His wings are similar to those of an may bug, transparent, but with obvious black veins that look somewhat waxy. Their span is only about as long as his legs, and they spend more time healing, rather than flying, since holes are constantly being blown through the delicate wings, because unfortunately, Lazarus doesn't have the same shell protection as a real may bug.

Personality: Lazarus is often trying to cover up his childish attitude with a mask of calm. But this caring persona of his is easily betrayed, as Lazarus becomes excited over almost everything and anything. His excitement is countered oftentimes by his shy demeanor, and he has difficulties putting his thoughts into words, even though he's read the dictionary many times through. Lazarus' sentences often seem clumsily thrown together, and he has a tendency to rush through what he's trying to say, to avoid keeping the spotlight on himself for too long. Of course, this is all when he's pumped up over something, and even though this is far from a rare occurance, his other, level-headed way of doing things will usually help him cover up any embarrassing things he manages to do with his innocent curiousity. As such, Lazarus has much of a split personality, one that is serious and pleasant, another that is rather hyper and foolish. But even with all the knowledge he soaks up, he finds a way to be as gullible as the 3-year-old toddler in his positive persona, and can't lie to save his life.

History: The son of a librarian, Lazarus was overexposed to books as a young child, growing up surrounded by them, living in the presence of what seemed like a never ending pool of knowledge. As any average boy, his hero was his father. Even if his father wasn't exactly strong, or fast, he was intellectual. So Lazarus assumed that his Father knew everything there was to know, naïve as he was. In order to catch up, Lazarus picked up his own studies and moved at a pace that was strangely fast for someone his age. But it wasn't speed that was his forte, it was that he read every sentence for understanding, and never grew impatient with text printed onto paper. The only text he disliked reading was the daily newspaper, simply because it contained articles that Lazarus considered 'too close to the present'. So he would save the newspapers after his father was finished, and read them a week or two later. A true historian of a child, he became interested in methods of battle, healing, and learning of ancient peoples. He spent half of his life trying to learn a strange sort of martial art that required a very flexible and supple body, and ended up dropping it halfway through his studies because he became interested in specialized mahstion. He learned this at the age of 11, having been reading reports of other scholars and researchers, and was terribly interested in being able to specialize his Eation. Lazarus could care less that his ability to control just plain earth would be lessened, but truth be told, his reason to learn this specialized Eation was far from scholarly.

Lazarus reasoned that because plants were also considered living beings, if he could control their growth rate, whether they died or lived, where they grew, where they didn't grow, that would be the closest to controlling life as he could possibly get. He started off by trying to learn how to make roses grow. Red, red roses with impeccable fragrance. And though he managed to make the reddest rose he'd ever seen, the smell was non-existant. Though he managed to make the sweetest smelling rose he'd ever smelt, the petals were a poor shriveled gray color. His obsession with growing roses helped him specialize his mahstion, as his deceased mother had kept an extensive rose garden in front of the library owned by the Javor's. As time went on and Lazarus grew older, he became more accustomed to settling for a mediocre smell, and a mediocre appearance of roses. He never used his specialized mahstion on the roses left behind by his mother, though grew weeping willows in experiment to see whether he could decide which way the branches bent. During his stay at a church in Carn, to read historical journals kept by the Svartel Family, Lazarus became acquainted with a young girl who was searching for the last Svartel. Though Lazarus didn't know the whereabouts of this man, he and the girl looked up every last bit of the family's history they could find, all that was publicized anyway. Lazarus paused in his studies, returning home to study an entirely different aspect of knowledge; Medicine. Not ancient medicine, but modern medicine. He wanted to know what he could grow to make powders, liquids, antidotes, and other medicinal concoctions, while at the same time picking up his studies of the ancient martial art that he'd dropped for specialized mahstion in the past. (To keep fit, since he's constantly cooped up in his greenhouse.)

Plufael
Name: Hyacinth
Appearance: Hyacinth bears long, dark lavender-grayish hair with straight bangs brushed away from her eyes, the long cut of her hair pulled up into two high and curled pigtails, giving her a lady-like appearance to compliment her frilly attire. A small black corset is worn over a white, high-collared blouse lined with intricate frills and pleats though blouse's short sleeves are covered by black Juliet sleeves. Her knee-length black skirt is lined with white petticoats to add volume, and a pair of black mary-janes adorn her feet. In many ways, she looks like a porcelin doll, just the opposite of how Orcha looks like a voodoo doll. To add to Hyacinth's doll-like appearance, her skin is glossy, and pale enough so that it looks almost white. Her eyes though, are pupil-less, and are simply a flat royal purple color. Her nails are painted the exact same shade as her dark eyes, and she wears an assortment of black rings on her fingers. Pinned to the upper left hand surface of her plasticky purple hair is a black mini-top hat, with a carnation sewed to the crease between the rim and body of the hat, while the rim is lined with white lace and frills. She wears a large silver pocket watch that hangs from her waist, and a collar with a bow-tie ribbon tightening it in place as a necklace. The pocket watch has a bouquet of flowers imprinted into the silver, though the silver is obviously old and tarnished, so it has become difficult to distinguish exactly what it is. She carries a light purple parasol that is lined with lace and has a black hook handle.

Not an accurate representation, but close.

Personality: Peaceful and calm, Hyacinth acts much like an older sister to Lazarus. Though she is normally rational and indifferent, she gets competitive when it comes to Orcha. Though it seems that even when Hyacinth is angry, the most that one can provoke her to is a furrowed brow and a small frown. She rarely raises her voice above a soft tone, and always seems as if she doesn't understand, or doesn't register what's going on around her, due to her pupil-less eyes and blank stare. The purple-haired plufael is slow with words and actions, a trait that seems to bother the impatient and brash Orcha. She rarely steps in to take a hit for Lazarus, and often leaves that duty to Orcha, simply because she doesn't want to soil her dress with blood or anything of the sort. It is assumed that the only thing that can set off her fuse is the very reason she won't defend her reila; because getting dirty is absolutely out of the question.

Negafael
Name: Orcha
Appearance: Orcha is completely unmistakeable, with wild myrtle colored forestry that serves as her hair, the thin leaf that sprouts from her widow's peak and stands alert on her head and the matching leaf that conceals her left eye. Matching this with her heavily tanned skin, she's quite the eye-catcher, even for a Negafael. While her lime green eyes share the same small pupils as her reila, she sports strange black tattoo's all around her eye that outline it. Though they leave some of the skin around her lower eyelid visible, the ink covers her entire upper lid, acting as a sort of eyeshadow of sorts, tapering as it moves toward her pointed ears. The ink extends up past her black eyebrows from the middle in a triangular shape, the smallest point of the isoceles just barely touching with the stem of a maple leaf. (Part of her 'hair'.) A similar triangle is also etched upside down on her cheek, an extension of the tattoo that outlines the bags of her eyes, (making her look as though she hasn't slept for ages,) though the triangle smaller in size. These tattoos, along with the Second Heptagram Star etched onto her back and surrounding her left, though concealed eye, makes her look as though she's wearing make-up similar to that of a clown. Her thin lips are tattooed with black ink, so that it looks as if she's wearing lip-stick, and these lips are usually stretched into a sadistic grin, or contorted into some kind of strange shape. A tube-top dress made of layered maple leaves covers her body, the skirt reaching only just above her mid-thigh. Though Orcha already looks like a monster, what with her tattoo's, she adds to the freakish look with thorny tattoo's of ivy crawling up and down her mostly exposed legs, while her right arm is obviously not her own. The skin is a deathly gray, and there are huge and unsightly stitches that keep the arm attatched to her shoulder. She has various other stitches upon her body, though the other stitches seem to serve no purpose but to make her appear even creepier. She wears no shoes, nor any accessories, save for a single silver earring on the very end of her elf-like ears. Her build can most certainly be described as curvy, and Orcha has no qualms with using this to her advantage.

Personality: Sadistic and ruthless, Orcha loves her position as negafael, and uses it as an excuse to do whatever she wants, no matter how cruel it may be. She cares little for the existence or well being of others, only paying special attention to the fact that she must be entertained at all times. Luckily enough, there are only two things in the world that truly interest her; Battle and History. Seeing as Lazarus specializes in both, and is often either immersed in reading history reports, or training to learn a technique he's stumbled upon in his readings, Orcha is often satisfied to sit back and do little to nothing. Unlike more negafaels, who have a tendency to have little care for their reila, Orcha seems to obsess over Lazarus' well-being more than Hyacinth. Her violent tendencies seem to do more harm than good, and this often causes Orcha to become incredibly frustrated. Her short-fuse ignites both yelling and screaming, and a threatening, murderous intent, depending on the situation/victim. Orcha doesn't hesitate to groan about being bored like an immature child when she's unintertained however, and though strange, when she isn't arguing with Hyacinth over who gets to take care of Lazarus, she is moderately tolerant of the plufael. She's easily annoyed however, so moments of peace in Lazarus' mind are normally long, but few and far between.

Reila
Name: Levi Pak-Jaquez (LEH-vie, Pack-JAH-kez)
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Nationality: Tealia
Class: Thief / Outcast
Mahstion Type: Wionus
Weapon Class: The only weapons that Levi carries about on his person are a plethora of explosives, be they large scale bombs or little ones, they are all the same size, though have different shapes. As such, they are all stored in a brown leather pouch that's knotted to his belt, much like a fanny pack. The pouch itself has multiple zippers on it, each zipper leading to a different color explosive. Other than his bombs though, Levi uses only his hands, feet, and mahstion to fight. Due to his wings, he specializes in speed and jumping, and thanks to his mahstion, he's know to be able to "walk on air", though the technique isn't really what it implies.

Appearance: There are no wings on Levi's back. That is the first thing anyone who sees him will realize. In fact, most people who scan Levi up and down with their eyes will never notice any wings at all. He is considered a 'disabled' or 'handicapped' person, as much like a child with a misplaced limb will be considered disabled, Levi's wings were born on his ankles, rather than his back. The wings themselves are white, with a metallic sheen to them. They have sharp scales for feathers, arched out to end in a needle sharp point. They're small enough to seem only like decorations on the sides of his boots, which are adorned with teal criss-crossing laces, though they can grow to the size of your average wings when Levi pushes the white button embedded on the side of his boots' heels. This releases a growth hormone that causes the wings to grow powerful enough to beat once, and send Levi jumping to incredible heights. Levi's pale ruby hair has always been extremely wavy, and though the boy tries to tame it by straightening his hair and spiking the coarse strands out. But his long bangs that hang in his eyes are rebellious, and always have hints of his naturally wavy hair style at the tips, a fact that never ceases to frustrate Levi. His essentially peach colored skin has a strange yellowish tint to it, as a result of an illness he'd suffered at birth due to his strangely located wings. But this sickly look is hard to notice depending on the lighting.

Levi is always wearing a pair of square, teal-rimmed goggles that have greenish-yellow lenses, and because he never takes them off except when he's sleeping, (and even then, keeps them around his neck,) it's hard to tell what color eyes he has. They appear to be a bright olive green when screened by his goggles, and though it hardly matches Levi's personality, they consistently hold a sharp and criticizing gaze. On Levi's torso is a long-sleeved mechanic's shirt, matching the rims of his goggles in color, and the left chest pocket has white wavy designs that adorn the flap. He often rolls up the sleeves to keep them out of his way, and wears a pair of simple, brown fingerless gloves on both hands. Underneath this shirt, Levi wears a vermillion-teal and green horizontally striped sleeveless T-shirt. His khaki pants are made of the same material as Levi's overshirt, though they're tucked neatly into his shin-high boots, and so coupled with his button-up shirt that is long enough to reach his mid-thigh, there's not much of his khaki's to be seen. Not uncommon for a young thief, Levi wears a plethora of accessories, including, but no limited to, a vermillion leather choker, a silver chain necklace which disappears under the collar of his undershirt, a pair of silver hoops earrings on both his left and right ears, and a number of thin silver studded teal and white leather wristbands on his wrists. Though most thieves and outcasts like to lay low-key, Levi likes to make a scene and an entrance, which is why his appearance is rather flashy.

Reference Image

Personality: There's nothing more to Levi than living life to it's fullest. More than anything else, Levi hates being restrained, or held back from achieving his goals. To someone who can become deathly excited at everything and anything, Levi almost seems not to fear even death, seeing it as the next crazy adventure. Indeed, Levi's train of thought is somewhat hard to define, as he's a bit of a ditz who can't focus very well. He doesn't mind living in a run-down place, but he hates not being able to buy what he wants, and what's worse, is that he hates to make an honest living because it simply takes too much effort. In general, Levi is a very cheerful person, all smiles and optimistic to a fault. He has trouble reading the feelings of others or the mood of his surroundings, and this often makes him seem as though he's ignorant to everything but himself. And not many would deny that fact. One thing that helps Levi break through his sheer stupidity however is loyalty. Once Levi is able to find someone he would follow to the ends of the world, he gains a little more insight of that person, is more able and willing to give things up or share them, and is always a little overprotective of that person. It's tough for him to doubt anything they say, even if it's the most blatant of lies, and it's only for this person that he can worry.

Levi's temper is rather shallow, as he seems unable to express any sort of emotion in excess other than happiness. He can only manage a frown, or an indifferent expression when he's feeling sad, annoyed, or angry. Levi's level of pity is also rather low for anyone other than the people he puts his entire life into, as he rather dislikes sob-stories. Levi does however, have a knack for getting his point across with a smile and a set of rude words that would better fit a snarl than a grin. The only thing that Levi will focus on is a promise for adventure, and maybe a promise of profit. And as carefree a goof as Levi is, he loves nothing more than a desperate life-and-death fight, leading him to be rather dangerous for a petty thief because he neither fears death, nor feels any guilt for giving it. It can be easily mistaken that Levi is sadistic, because during a fight, he's so excited that he can't restrain a smile, and those who aren't quite so indifferent to death don't really understand how such a young person can smile while people are dying under his feet.

History: Born physically handicapped, Ivel was always treated differently, as though he would never grow out of needing to be under constant surveillance for his own safety. Born to a rather wealthy family Ivel was lucky that wasn't thrown to the Underneath due to his seeming lack of wings. But moving about in the town became difficult for Ivel, and wherever he went, it seemed as if someone needed to be with him to prove that the strange decorations protruding from his shoes were actually his wings. This restraint on life proved to be hard for Ivel, but this minor set-back was nothing compared to what came next. Ivel's younger sister came along only weeks after he turned 5, and it seemed as she grew, everything she did was perfect. She was beautiful, graceful, elegant, and she was not handicapped. Before, Ivel put up with the additional company because he was the center of his family's life. But with such a perfect addition to the family, Ivel, flawed without hope, was left to disappear as his sister was showered with praise. His hatred for the financial game of compliments and poise grew and grew, until eventually, Ivel found a sympathetic servant who helped him sneak out of the house during the night. After his first expedition, which ended in a disastrous gang fight the young boy insisted to one of the gang members that he wanted to learn how to fight, in case others decided to pick a fight with him due to his wings.

In return for a price, Ivel was taught the crudest street fighting by sheer experience. Ivel's parents couldn't understand how their son, who was under constant surveillance during the day was returning with so many bruises and cuts. And so he spent his adolescent years, fighting and asking of his parents only one thing; to hire teachers that taught any kind of fighting with hands and feet. During these years, Ivel received two of the most important items to him. The chain necklace that he hides underneath his shirt that signifies his alliance with the gang he ran into on his first night independent from his family. Though Ivel enjoyed this life, he left the gang eventually, as he was still being tied down during the day. His painfully perfect younger sister noticed this before anyone else, and for his 15th birthday, gave him a pair of goggles, and the recipient was an anagram of Ivel's name; Levi. This was the second item that Ivel treasured beyond anything else, because of the meaning behind it. After receiving these goggles, Ivel pulled them on and promised never to take them off during the day, the time when he was most restrained from doing things he liked, until their purpose had been fulfilled. Leaving his home, taking on the name of Levi to compliment his new life as a thief, and becoming independent from the world of the wealthy to keep his promise, Levi's new purpose is written on a small home-made card no bigger than a square of chocolate hidden amongst his explosives.

"To Levi, from Liza. For when you can finally fly freely."

Plufael
Name: Jazrelli Jaquez
Appearance: A shapeshifter, Jazrelli never stays in one form for long. His true appearance is something that not even Jazrelli remembers, though it seems that no matter what he looks like, his huge watery orange eyes never change, not even the heavy lidded bored gaze that seems to always grace his indifferent expression. His preferred form is that of a young man no older than Levi himself, who wears a basic black suit and tie, with black formal dress shoes. In this persona, Jazrelli's hair is usually some sort of wild color to suit his mood, though his mood is usually bored, which turns out to be gray on Jazrelli's color scale. The hair style is always the same when Jazrelli is wearing a suit, cut so that other than where it tapers to the middle of his neck, the strands are all generally the same length. Extremely feathered at the bottom, the tips of his just barely brush the tip of his nose. However, 'preferred' only means that Jazrelli appears in this form more than the others. He spends as little time in this body as any of his others. But never is Jazrelli caught without something in or on his hair, be it a top hat, headband, clip, crown, or beret, Jazrelli has a seemingly endless imagination for hats and hair accessories. He also appears as a child at times, to have an excuse to walk around with his arms clamped protectively about Devitell.

Personality: Jazrelli is selfish, selfish, and selfish. Spoiled for as long as he can remember by his older twin brother, Devitell, Jazrelli becomes inconsolable whenever he doesn't get what he wants, solving the rare dilemma by throwing temper tantrums or sulking. Sure enough, Jazrelli has a very low maturity level when it comes to handling things like not having his way, and has plenty of trouble figuring out why anyone would want to do anything for people other than himself. Thus, due to the fact that Devitell is someone he understands to the fullest, (because Devitell doesn't do anything for anyone but Jazrelli,) the younger twin's never ending wish is for Devitell to always be right beside him. Jazrelli cares little for Levi himself, but is similar to his reila in the idea that they both hate being held back. Thus, Jazrelli acts only as a proper plufael when he feels that his own freedom, (which is directly affected by Levi's freedom,) is being threatened.

Negafael
Name: Devitell Pak
Appearance: Devitell is also a shapeshifter, though unlike Jazrelli, he is apparently able to change any and every feature of himself. He is considerably less limited in his abilities when compared to Jazrelli, as he can changed not only his appearance, but his gender, species, and is skilled enough to be able to blend into his surroundings like a chameleon. Devitell, like his twin Jazrelli, never stays in one form for extended periods of time. Though one thing is consistant for Devitell, and that is the fact that Devitell dislikes being in any male body other than his true body, and due to the fact that Devitell and Jazrelli are identical, Jazrelli, (who believes his true appearance is boring,) refuses to let Devitell transform into what they both truly look like. Thus, Devitell often-times appears as female, and not many realize the negafael's real gender. He, or, in the usual case she, always has something hanging from her mouth, be it a lollipop, cigarette, toothpick, or sometimes even a pacifier, Devitell's affinity towards having something in his mouth is similar to Jazrelli's obsession with hats and hair accessories.

Personality: To sum up Devitell in one word, he is a complete and total bore. Indifferent to a fault, it's difficult to get Devitell to do anything unless Devitell was the one who wanted to do it in the first place. The best bribe to get Devitell to do something can only be granted by Jazrelli, and that's permission to change back into his true body. As one can tell, Devitell, though lazy, is completely devoted to his brother Jazrelli, to the point where when time came for the two of them to divide the task of negafael and plufael, at a single stubborn statement from Jazrelli, Devitell chose to be the negafael. Though he has a hard time with it, Devitell is always thinking of ways to ease Jazrelli's seemingly never-ending boredom, though due to Devitell's nature in general, it proves more of a challenge than it should be. He's devoted his life to Jazrelli, and he prides himself on never rejecting any of Jazrelli's ridiculous commands.

Note; It's not so hard to tell Devitell's gender when Jazrelli refers to him though, as Jazrelli finds the idea of his older brother being a girl exceptionally weird, and refuses to refer to him with female pronouns, and also refuses to call him by his usual female name, 'Pak'.

Secondary Characters; Aertan Svartel, Alicilante (Alicel) Svartel (Deceased), Shiraume, and Kirden.

Update; Nearly done! >:D Only need to finish Xaviae and then I'm all finished up~ Ugh, but I think I'll save that for another day. Doing the research for Lazarus' wings was dangerous to my health for sure. x_x; I think I might puke from seeing those pictures of cicada's and beetles. *dead* Ugh, and when I had to click on the full resolution of the may bug picture- I swear, I died a little right then and there.

I hate bugs so much. ;;

Nrr, done tommorrow? *has been lurking and making a character during free moments* I would much like to reserve a spot, as all I must do is copy down and flesh out the various notes I've made on my character. (And scan stuff. Because I must draw absolutely every character I ever make. Provided, I've written a formal description for all who prefer imagination to visuals.)

Act III isn't starting tomorrow. It probably won't start until nearer to the end of the week because of Christmas. So, reserved.

I edited the first post with information regarding a new country, as well as my character post, although my characters are nowhere near done. XD

Haven't RPed in a while, so forgive me:

Name: Beatrica Tendren
Age: 34
Gender: Female
Nationality: Alta [Now Resides in Flazure]
Class: Mercenary
Mahstion Type: Dation
Weapon Class: Greaves - Beatrica has a slight distaste for most weapons, so she instead relies on her own physical strength and strategy. By manipulating the Dation she has control over, she can amplify her strength to new heights for short periods of time. When incapable of using her Mahstion in this manner, she instead channels the energy into the greaves she has fitted on her hands and shins. Her greaves are made from a powerful steel alloy and are the same emerald green color as the rest of her outfit. They are hollow and lightweight, which prevent Beatrica from being weighed down. She never takes the greaves off, even when sleeping. They are essentially extensions of her own body, allowing for fluid combat when it is needed.
Appearance: She is an imposing figure, standing at six feet and four feet inches. Because of this, she towers over most men and women.

Reila

Name: Aleksandra Ivanovna Zaitseva (a.k.a. Staff Sergeant Natalya Sergeyevna Romanova)

Age: 28

Gender: Female

Nationality: Tealia (ex-Underneath, ex-Carn)

Class: Tealian Forces soldier, scholar, engineer, medical technician, former sky pirate

Mahstion Type: Lionus

Weapon Class: Aleks lost her original blades after being arrested by the Tealian Forces five years ago and has not seen them since. After infiltrating the Forces, however, she quickly learned to make use of their own assortment of combat knives: replicas of the V-42, Gerber Mark II, Strider SMF, and OKC-3S. Aleks typically carries the V-42, SMF, and OKC-3S as her favored weapons; somehow, she has also managed to procure a limited-issue Mahstion pistol, which outwardly resembles the Heckler & Koch USP in appearance.

Appearance: Physically, Aleks hasn't changed much; for the most part, she's still the same 5'7", 120 lb, 34-22-34, blue-eyed, platinum blonde, heavily scarred woman she was five years ago. The only significant differences are in terms of wardrobe and hairstyle. She has discarded her old Soviet Naval Infantry uniform for the newly-adopted standard battle dress of the Tealian Forces, which bears a suspicious resemblance to the woodland-pattern Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform: MARPAT-patterned blouse, trousers, and boonie hat, olive-green T-shirt, black belt, and tan boots. Aleks has also taken to wearing her hair up, and she now sports a pair of wire-rimmed eyeglasses with squared-off frames.

Personality: If Reid Davies and the gang were to see Aleks today, they would be extremely hard-pressed to connect her with the monotonous, mentally disturbed young woman they had briefly encountered in prison half a decade ago; indeed, her personality seems to have done a complete 180-degree turn during the interregnum. As Staff Sergeant Natalya Romanova, she seems unusually carefree and easygoing. She leads mainly by example, always doing her best and trying to encourage subordinates and superiors alike to do the same; she is perfectly willing to disregard the letter of the law in order to abide by its spirit. Despite her relaxed demeanor, however, she does not suffer fools gladly; she tends to become extremely strict when angry and is all too enthusiastic to punish people when they fall too out of line.

It's all just an act, of course. Aleks is still the same scheming, cynical, borderline psychopath she always was, though it is quite apparent that she's starting to crack under the strain of keeping her two personalities separate, which is made worse by the fact that she's working for three separate commands within the Tealian Forces; she has yet to actually snap, though such a psychotic break seems to be more imminent with each passing day. For the most part, however, the façade Aleks has crafted for herself is completely flawless; nobody can suspect that Natalya and Aleks are actually one and the same...at least not until "Natalya" comes at you with a pointy object.

History: To put things in the simplest of terms, Aleksandra Zaitseva has been suffering from an identity crisis for the past five years.

After escaping from the Tealian Forces Penitentiary, Aleks decided to adopt the identity of a Tealian Forces sergeant named Natalya Romanova, unwittingly taking advantage of a clerical inconsistency that listed the real Sergeant Romanova as still being on active duty despite having died two years earlier; a warehouse fire at the Tealian Forces Department of Records that destroyed all proof that she was indeed Aleksandra Zaitseva sealed the deal for her, so to speak. After spending some time crafting a new personality in order to better integrate into the Forces, Aleks/Natalya took to her new position with unmatched zeal, eventually landing an assignment to the Tealian Forces Materiel Command, where she was given the chance to work with firearms.

Life was good for Aleks/Natalya until civil unrest and the plague struck Tealia. As the insurgencies grew more frequent and bloody, Aleks/Natalya found herself posted to a counter-terrorism unit, where she was assigned to evaluate the effectiveness of the Mahstion pistol in counter-insurgency operations (the prototype pistols proved to be horrifyingly effective, by the way). When the plague first started appearing, Aleks/Natalya found herself transferred to the Tealian Forces Medical Command, where she was assigned to devise quarantine measures and assist in research on the disease. Due to the concurrence of the insurgencies and plague outbreaks, she has been forced to divide her time between the two commands, with varying degrees of success; on top of all this, she still works for Materiel Command, where she's currently working on trying to develop other types of Mahstion firearms. A year ago, she was promoted to Staff Sergeant; she's currently working on a promotion to Gunnery Sergeant.

*Looks at ending post*

New girl for this act too? Reid is such a playboy. xD *Brick'd*

Ahem, I had something to do here other than spaztatstic spamming, didn't I? Oh yeah, maybe it's worth noting that Faewyn's parents were actually fused into an apostle, so since said apostle was restored so were they. (Not my original plan, but who am I to argue with a happy ending for that little subplot? xD) Just...you know, so as to not give any faulty impressions with the 'most likely dead' bit earlier.

Okay, yeah, shutting up now and ceasing to clutter this thread with needless to semi-needless posts. Good luck with the RP, guys, and you new/returning peoples had better be active, 'cause I'll be watching. >O

No, seriously, I'll be following this, 'cause I wanna' see where the plot goes next. :3

Reid is a playboy. There's no denying it. xD

Anyway, my own ending post was much crap, but I totally didn't know what to do with Aertan, so I was stuck in the same place for nearly half an hour, just sitting back and biting my nails wondering what he should say next. <_<;; So I just decided, "Whatever" and finished up.

I can't wait until Act III. >:D

And Jack, there are only so many mahstion gun's in the world. |D;; (David's just abusing power by giving Elliane two.) And they're supposed to be more pistol'y than rifle'y.... Just... thought you might want to know...

Edit; Oh, David beat me to it. o_o;; Nevermind~

Reila

Name: Axel LeRoux

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Nationality: Born in Beta, now resides in Flazure.

Class:
Pyrotechnician; Weapons specialist

Mahstion Type: Fionus

Weapon Class: Retractable Katars that slide into small cuffs on both of Axel's wrists. Also on these cuffs are small pouches that carry small bits of explosive powder than can be ignited by Axel's mahstion. Due to the rarity of such pure powder, it's a rare occasion that he brings the powder into action.

Appearance: Walking down the streets of Flazure at night, you're intrigued by a curious hammering sound coming from a nearby enclosure. The darkness of the night is erratically broken apart by the spastic crackle and spark of a flame. As bad of an idea it is, you slowly peek your head into the glowing entrance trying to identify the source of the odd sound, involuntarily flinching each time the metallic bang rings out. Your eyes suddenly strike gold, as they come to rest on a young man in his early twenties, pounding relentlessly on a red hot blade over an anvil. Suddenly, he looks up, and you both freeze, his amber eyes seeming to be the only human part of him, gently reflecting the light of the fire; the rest of his visage is cloaked in shadow. As he steps into the light, you manage to get a good look at his entire person. His dark wyvern wings, very broad and defined, slowly unfold and are posed at the ready. The velvety interior is of a violet purple color, and the wicked looking exterior claws are pearly white and sneer at you, seemingly begging to tear into your flesh. His silverish blue hair that normally hangs somewhere around his neck level, is drawn back in a loosely tied ponytail. His gray flight jacket ((VERY OOC: Think Han Solo, or the picture. xD)) hangs over the chair that he was sitting on, and his white t-shirt is scorched in several places. His jeans are heavily ripped and dirty, most probably his work pants. They're held up by a black leather belt, with his family crest as the buckle. His fit, 5'11" figure looms over 16 year old stature, and as he reaches out (presumably to strike you,) you're immobilized with fear. However, the hand congeniously claps your shoulder, and as you look up into his eyes cautiously, you realize that he's smiling.

Personality: "Kael, what are you doing here? Your mother.." Axel begins, with a half amused, half concerned tone. You know that he cares deeply for those whom he knows, but you also know that he understands your interest in what he's up to, and is somewhat flattered by it. To be honest, Axel has always been a sucker for an apprentice. The nature of his interests, in combination with the reluctant, bordering on fearful nature of his kind make for poor interests outside of the military or otherwise political based factions of Flazure, which Axel generally wants nothing to do with. If you were to ask him why he makes weapons then, he would say something along the lines of
"Oh, it's the technical aspects of it." or,
"I don't just make weapons, you know.", even though you know that's what he spends most of his time tinkering with.
"I..I just wanted to know what was going on. I heard you banging away and.." you stammer, and Axel laughs. It's a hearty chuckle, not quite a guffaw, but much more than just a modest grunt of amusement.
"Banging away?" he says with an air of mock hurt. He winks, and motions with his finger, turning away and walking back towards his anvil. "Well. Let me show you something. Come here, and look at this."

As you follow him back to his table, he begins to explain to you what he's been working on. Two blades that retract into wrist cuffs. Listening to him explain his methods and theories is like listening to a chocolate maker explain how he makes chocolate. The way he looks and the general unbridled enthusiasm with which he speaks has you hanging on every word that he says, even though you understand nothing about smithing, and you don't even know what "smelting" means, but you nod your head, your eyes glazed in wonder. There's something about him, you think to yourself. I can't put my finger on it, but I just know it.

History: Axel was born in Beta, but as soon as Flazure was established his parents opted to leave the machine city behind and start a new life free of persecution. Initially, Axel hated it, being only eight years old and in a society nearly devoid of the type of machinery that was so much a part of daily life in Beta. That was, until he met Artemis, a Phoenix also from Beta. They shared the love of machinery and they worked on many a project together. However, Artemis was far more ambitious than Axel was, and decided to seek a job in Meredy.

"Don't worry, you guys. I have it under control. I have a way to conceal my true lineage. They'll never know I'm a phoenix." was the last thing Axel ever heard Artemis say as he boarded the cargo ship bound for Meredy. It was preposterous, of course. How could you ever conceal your phoenix wings so convincingly that you could get a high ranking military job in Meredy? Axel would probably have felt better if his confident companion had shown him how he planned to accomplish this, but he claimed with a wink that it was "top secret."

After 2 years of not hearing a peep from Artemis, Axel feared the worst. He decided that he needed to find his friend, no matter the cost. Through the help of his father, Axel found an under the table agency that would get him to Meredy and keep him safe for a maximum of three days. "Three days.." he thought. "That's all I'll need." Unfortunately, he was wrong. After making it to Meredy, the first two days passed fruitlessly, and the third day he found a link that he couldn't refuse. However, the third day draws to a close, and he would lose his protection, making him as good as dead. So which would he choose? As dusk settles, Axel is forced to make a choice.. there's no way that he can stay in Meredy without protection.. but there's no way he can leave without knowing Artemis' fate.
