    = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

You awake one morning to just another day in the life of a fourteen-year-old.
After mostly waking yourself up and preparing for the day ahead, you slowly pad down the stairs.

When you are halfway down, an explosion suddenly shakes the house violently. Confused and alarmed, you dash down the stairs and fling open the wooden door.
You see clouds of smoke rising from the shattered wall of a large white building. The building you instantly recognise as the lab of Professor Willow.

Running from the destruction are a group of people in uniforms distinctive of a group called Team Astris,
and you see them carrying papers and many small, red and white spheres.

You instantly rush through the gaping hole to see if the Professor is injured. He is sitting against the far wall, covered in dust, with his head in his hands.
The room looks like a battlefield.

Hearing you come in, he looks up. He asks you desperately if you can retrieve his important papers. You agree immediately, and he extracts three Pokéballs from his coat pocket for you to choose from, to help you in your task.

You quickly choose, and run out towards Route 301, where you saw Team Astris heading earlier. Running as fast as you can, you dodge between the trees and finally catch up.

The three grunts turn around and see you. You challenge them each to a battle and believing you to be no threat, they agree.
They confidently boast of Team Astris' plans.

After three difficult battles, you emerge victorious and retrieve Professor Willow's papers and Pokéballs. With no Pokemon left to defend them, the grunts leave quickly.

Meanwhile, bit by bit, the World of Pokemon is dying. Four legendary Pokemon who rule over the climate have suddenly stopped fighting. Weather is in turmoil, but no one has noticed...

So, what program/language is this game being made in? I believe that's a requirement to be in the Showcase, and I can't find it in your post...

So, are those screenshots actually mockups? If so, I don't think this belongs in this section just yet...

  • Damn, I got told you could get Free LEGAL RMXP donwloads

i got recommended using RPG Maker 2003 for if i dont want to BUY a programme. Thoughts?

EDIT - I'm gonna be downloading RPG maker 2003 as soon as I get my new laptop, which should be tomorrow or Monday

  • Well, it isn't actually legal to use RM2k3, either, as it was never officially translated to English.

A couple of fee legal options would be Sphere and Game Maker.

Though, I think you should have waited to see whether you were even capable of doing creating and implementing these graphics and features... :\

there are other methods to obtain the legal version =p

anyways, not because you started on it, but because you did a mock up X.x i personally hate when screenies come out and aren't really the screenies.

but hey get far enough in the programming and i should become interested again and lend a hand (if it's in rmxp)

Win a contest to get a legal version, or pay for it are the only ones I can think of, downloading it is completely ILLEGAL.

    I like the fakemon ^_^

  • "illegal" is s subjective term that is "controlled" by whomever controls the region you live in -_- honestly the whole economic idea is a completely negative because of the money hungry theme they suggest. Lastly not everyone is privileged to have the kinds of funds to obtain things that are deemed "right" lol. - I personally live in with a mindset to do what is needed to obtain what I want (without wanting unreasonably) with minimum effects to others. =3

back on topic - O_o you thought about updating the topic with more information on people (with a picture of them?)
