    Heya :>

This thread's about one of the biggest problems making a poke game: the battle animations.
There aren't more than 10 or 20 on the internet and especially the animations are impossible to be found. But how to solve this problem?

One way would be that you don't use any in your game. But that makes the fights much more boring and unalluring.
Or you'll use some from other games, taht you've found on the internet.
Or you could also rip all of them from the gba editions. But 350 are very, very many and imo it's quite impossible to do that alone.

    So, what to do?
How do you solve this problem in your pokemon game project? Or is there any way to get them in an easier than through ripping?

If there isn't any solution so far, it would be a good idea to work all together and ripp'em from the gameboy editions. It's not that hard to rip one, but nearly 400, that's simply too much for one single person.
    So what do you think?

You won't come around without capturing the necessary frames. Imo 12-15 are quite good.
The layer structure in pokemon games is not the best one for rippers, because all animated sprites are on the object layer (so also pokemon sprites, menu sprites) what makes it impossible to rip them without screenshots.
But with suitable programs it's a thing of maybe 10 minutes to get one completely ripped and sorted.
Take a programm that can make multiple screenshots, quickly import them into your favourite paint program and cut'em out, arranging them in a row isn't that hard and finished.

But, as said. There too many.
Is no one out there, who wants to make a poke fangame, that has already done it? XD

I don't think that this thread was really needed. You could try going to gamingw.net and downloading animget to rip the battle animations yourself if desperate.
