    (PLEASE RATE)

Hey everyone, I am new to pokemon TCG and this will be my first deck. It is a water and fire deck based around Bearctic and Reshiram. I HAVE NOT BUILT THIS DECK YET IT IS JUST AN IDEA AND ALL CRTICISM WILL HELP.

    Cubchoo x4 Next Destiny
Beartic x3 2 next destiny, 1 Emerging Powers
    Staryu x3 Next Destiny
    Starmie x2 Next Destiny

    Growlithe: x3 Next Destiny
    Arcanine: X2 Next Destiny
    Reshiram x3 Black And White
    Reshiram Ex x1 Next Destiny
    Victini x2 Noble Victories

    STRATEGY:
My main strategy is to get my bearctic and reshiram out in play as fast as possible. They are both very strong and can be deadly at the start of the game. Both can take hits and they complement each other very good in my opinion. If i don't have either pokemon, that is where my staryu comes in. It is and underestimated pokemon in TCG but can be very strong if played right. If i evolve it into starmie it can do 50 damage with 1 water energy ignoring all effect. It also has no retreat cost so i can switch into a powerful pokemon if starmie is having trouble. Victini is just for quick damage and for its Victory Star ability. Arcanine is also a powerhouse. 3 energy for 70 damage and 2 energy for 30 damage and flip a coin to see if i discard a energy to the defending pokemon. My trainers are pretty self explanitory.

This is my first deck that i will be making and i am looking forward to it. I will appreciate all criticism

    Fire Energy x 9

    Water Energy x6

    Double colorless energy x2

    Trainer:

    Sky Arrow Bridge x2
    Heavy Ball 3
    Cilan x2
    Double color less energy x2
    Pokemon communication x 4
    Energy Retrievel x3
    Professor Junipor x4
    Revive x1

  • Arcanine doesn't seem terribly powerful compared to some other options out there, though what those options are escape me at the moment.

And what do Heavy Ball and Sky Arrow Bridge do?

By the way, Double Colorless Energy counts as an Energy, not a Trainer. Is there a reason you have it under both?

sorry about the 2 posts. I recently just took out 1 sky arrow bridge because i just do not need it and put back in another revive. I need 1 skyarrow so i will be able to switch my staryu out just in case of danger. I heavy heavy balls because i can look for a pokemon with a retreat cost 3 or more in my deck. I am using New Destiny Cubchoo and Beartic which both have a retreat cost of 3, and for my reshiram. I took 1 victini out because it was not needed and replaced it for 1 articuno. And im not sure if i want to take out my arcanine because it can burn, discard an energy to the other pokemon and do serious damage. (arcanine is from next destiny set)

I only intended to put 2 colorless energy not 4

In my opinion, if you were to make a deck out of beartic, I would go with the emerging powers one instead of Next Destinies.

Agree. the EP one is way better. You should probably take out the arcanine and replace it with a small Emboar line. (Inferno Fandango) or Typhlosion Prime.
For the Reshirams, I would stick with one or the other. With both, your battles will get harder. Trust me.

maybe two Eviolites will do you well for Reshiram. Catcher would come before most, though with this deck. That way, you can OHKO weak Benched Pokémon. One more thing. Yanmega Prime. That card can come in handy since this deck doesn't seem to be the fastest one ever considering Baeartic's energy costs as well as Reshiram.

  • Pretty Good, How About Options?

Hmm.. quite honestly, remove the Reshiram's and drop the Staryu's and Starmie's. Reshiram is really an energy eating machine, and what can you do without energies? Nothing. Outrage can't do a thing either unless you take a bit of damage... honestly, my strategy to use with that is to keep ONE Reshiram, and add in Emboar and it's evolutions to your deck instead of the Staryu's and Starmie's. The idea of taking the two opposites and putting them together was an excellent idea. Quite honestly, I love Arcanine. I personally use Arcanine, and it stalls my opponent with Crunch. This is good to use when battling an EX card. Now, if your looking to switch up your fight, use Victory Star Victini. This gives you an opportunity to re-flip your coin flips, if they didn't turn out the way you wanted them to. Beartic has potential, just not as much as a Kyruem EX would. EX cards are risky, but after I personally battled one, they are hard to destroy. But I would definitely switch with a Cryogonal, with Ice Chain and Frost Vanish. It is the best stalling Pokemon I've used in my decks. I have a website, which is linked to my facebook fanpage PokeVice. Please check it out, I'll try and help you as much as possible! I was like this too when I first made my deck, and the past 10 battles I've engaged in, I sent very few cards to my discard. Oh, and Pokemon Center and Level Ball will help you a ton!! Same with Cheren. Come by PokeVice if you need any additional help. (:

You need better supporters than juniper, put in some professor oaks new theory, N's, copycats or judges so you don't have to discard your hand that you will need later on when you are running dry, or at least throw in some junk arms to help get back cards from the discard pile.

I like Arcanine ND, and beartic is a decent stall, i'd say since you have fliptini, use Darmanitan ND, really good. I also enjoy Cinccino ND, but that's a debatable card because of it's low health. THough its pokebody helps.
