  • *I use a lot of tiers, and I play Pokemon White*
Special Wall - Blissey @ Leftovers, Calm (+SpD, -Atk)
    252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe, Natural Cure
    -Aromatheropy
    -Softboiled
    -Toxic
    -Seismic Toss

Physical Wall - Dusknoir @ Leftovers, Relaxed (+Def, -Spe)
    252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD, Pressure
    -Pain Split
    -Will-O-Wisp
    -Thunderpunch
    -Shadow Punch

Lead - Forretress @ Shed Shell, Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
    252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 HP, Sturdy
    -Spikes
    -Toxic Spikes
    -Stealth Rock
    -Explosion

Physical Sweeper - Garchomp @ Yache Berry, Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)
    252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 HP, Sand Veil
    -Fire Fang
    -Outrage
    -Earthquake
    -Swords Dance

Special Sweeper - Arcanine @ Expert Belt,  Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
    252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP,  Intimidate
    -Flamethrower
    -Overheat
    -Hidden Power [Fighting]
    -Dragon Pulse

Filler - Rotom (Wash) @ Choice Scarf, Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
    252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP, Levitate
    -Hydro Pump
    -Volt Switch
    -Trick
    -Hidden Power [Fire]

NOTES: For Garchomp, the main thing I need help on is either using Outrage or Dragon Claw. Down the road I will need someone to help me evolve my Dusclops. For Arcanine, I have both Flamethrower and Overheat because sometimes you need a quick burst of energy to just get the job done, but you would use Overheat to do mass amounts of damage, with less control. Well... Have at it.

  • Even though Blissey's base Defense is extremely low, it has to use a Bold nature to help it take a few non-Fighting physical hits, since its Special Defense is high enough already. To accompany this, change the EV spread to 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef.

Dusknoir isn't as good as it used to be. If you can go to the Dream World, replace it with Gliscor:
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Fang/Facade
    -Swords Dance
    -Taunt/Protect
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP/184 Def/72 Spe
    Item: Toxic Orb
    Ability: Poison Heal

    or
    -Toxic
    -Protect
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Fang/Facade/Taunt
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP/184 Def/72 Spe
    Item: Toxic Orb
    Ability: Poison Heal

    or
    -Substitute
    -Protect
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Fang/Taunt/Toxic
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP/184 Def/72 Spe
    Item: Toxic Orb
    Ability: Poison Heal

Explosion got nerfed this generation. And using all 3 entry hazards on Forretress is a big no-no because that leaves it prone to Taunt. Drop 1 hazard and Explosion and use the third slot for Rapid Spin (to clear opposing entry hazards) and the last slot for your choice of Gyro Ball (for STAB), Payback (to hit Ghosts and Psychics hard, despite the nerf in Gen V) or Earthquake (to hit other Steels hard). Also, change the nature and EV spread to Relaxed or Sassy and 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef or 252 HP/4 Def/252 SDef; that way, Forretress can survive more hits.

Arcanine is more of a physical attacker rather than a Special one. If you'd like to use a Special attacker, go for Volcarona, Gengar or Chandelure:

    Volcarona:
    -Quiver Dance
    -Fire Blast/Fiery Dance
    -Bug Buzz
    -Hidden Power (Ground/Rock
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb

    or
    -Quiver Dance
    -Bug Buzz
    -Fire Blast/Fiery Dance
    -Rest
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 160 HP/252 SAtk/96 Spe
    Item: Chesto Berry

    Gengar:
    -Substitute
    -Shadow Ball
    -Focus Blast
    -Disable/Pain Split/Hidden Power (Fire)/Thunderbolt
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Black Sludge/Life Orb

    Chandelure:
    -Substitute
    -Fire Blast
    -Shadow Ball
    -Hidden Power (Fighting)/Pain Split
    Nature: Timid/Modest
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Leftovers
    Ability: Flash Fire

    or
    -Calm Mind
    -Shadow Ball
    -Fire Blast
    -Substitute/Hidden Power (Fighting)
    Nature: Timid/Modest
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Leftovers
    Ability: Flash Fire

(note: if you opt to use Chandelure, you can use a Choice item (Specs/Scarf) on it, but you have to give it a 4th offensive move; Energy Ball is greatly preferred)

Just so you know, Garchomp is an Uber (even though it can still be used for Wi-Fi battles). You can also consider Pokemon like Haxorus, Hydreigon or Dragonite:

    Haxorus:
    -Outrage
    -Earthquake
    -Brick Break
    -Dragon Claw/Dual Chop
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 36 HP/252 Atk/220 Spe
    Item: Choice Band
    Ability: Mold Breaker

    or
    -Dragon Dance/Swords Dance
    -Outrage
    -Earthquake
    -Brick Break/Taunt/Swords Dance
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    EVs: 36 HP/252 Atk/220 Spe
    Item: Lum Berry/Life Orb
    Ability: Mold Breaker

Dragonite: (it has too many good sets for it to use, so you can go check out its Smogon article for those)

  • Wow, thanks for the input. I was thinking I could eleminate the threat of taunt by switching out to Blissey, but I suppose you are right... I am aware that Garchomp is uber. I will look at this later, but I must go now.
