DQ monters Joker was the forth game of the DQ monster series and it was launched 10 years prior to SUn and Moon, but it's interesting to note both games has some similarities besides both being a monster catch game
>Both games plays the "tropical archipelago theme" with each island having their own importance.
>Both games takes a different challengue from their precursors, pokemon had gyms and changed to trials, Dq monsters had the tournaments and changed to darkonium teasure hunting, and in both games, part of the characters likes to focus in this change.
>Speaking about darkonium, funny darkonium and darkinium-Z sounds too similar in name(however they have totally different purposes.
>Both games has a scientist, head of a whole organization interested in another dimension pretending being a good person, but they actually have some mean plan behind the scenes (Dr. Snap and Lusamine)
>Both games you have to stop some threat and criatures from another dimension, ultra beasts from ultra space, and monsters from dark dimension.
>Theres a rebel child that rivalies you, later you discover they being an important child of a rich and influent person (Gladion and Solitaire)
>Both games has 4 temples for a guardian, in dq however they are the same only changing the forms
>There's a legendary creature following the protagonists since the begining of the game, only for revealiing their true form at the climax
>Both games has their climax a evil human becoming a monster, Lusamine becomes a big monstruous jellyfish with nihilego, Dr. Snap become a monstruous hand with all dark matter coming from the dark dimension.
