    Been hunting him for 3 days...i have a 200+ catch combo and using lures yet I still haven't seen the shiny..i feel like I'm being punished for letting the random shiny rattata go..

    Once you get the 31 combo you dont have to keep catching just watch for it to spawn. I didnt have any luck either with my Shiny Vulpix for a while. Sometimes it just takes a while for them to spawn, I counted over 800 Vulpix before the shiny spawned. I'd say just watch the spawns so you dont risk breaking your combo.
