    • I've noticed that a lot of Pokémon are based off of myths, animals from real life, and objects.

    Examples
    • Magikarps evolution is based off of the chinese myth that if a carp jumps over a dragon gate it will become a dragon.
    • Some starter Pokémon like torchic, tepid, snivy, And chimchar are based off the animals from the Chinese zodiac.
    • Hawlucha seems to be based off of the Aztecs from Mexico.
    • Tyrantrum and tyrunt are based off of The T-Rex
    • Charizard is supposed to be based off of European dragons
    • oranguru is based off of an orangutan which is an orange haired ape that lives in Southeast Asia

    If you know any Pokémon that are based off of anything. Feel free to bring it up.
