    • GT Epic Mafia
    Did you know murdering your friends is really fun? Mafia is the strategic party game where you kill each other or die trying.

    The game is simple enough in essence. The game splits the players into two teams; the uninformed majority and the informed minority. The majority, the Town, do not know the alignments of any other player and must eliminate all of the mafia hidden among them. Meanwhile, the minority, the Mafia, all know each other and win when they outnumber the town (or it is impossible for the town to prevent this). Sometimes, there are also third party roles present with their own independent win conditions.

    The gameplay itself is divided into two phases. During the Night Phase, the Mafia select a Town player to kill. Additionally, players with Night Actions will be able to undertake actions that may help (or hinder) their team. During the Day Phase, everyone discusses and votes together to decide who to kill. This is the critical phase for the Town since the Mafia will try to mislead them into killing their own.

    Each player on the winning side of a game will earn 20 points for their GT Village.

    Roles

    There is a wide selection of roles available, but, to keep things simple, we will only be playing games that use the roles outlined below. Not every game will feature all of these roles, but I'll try to incorporate a good mix through the event.

    Spoiler: Town Roles
    Villager
    The Villager is the most numerous role in the game. They have no Night Action, but they're participation during the Day Phase is still very important.

    Doctor
    At Night, the Doctor can visit one player and protect them from death.

    Cop
    As their Night Action, a Cop can visit another player and learn their alignment.

    Insane Cop
    A bogus role. They appear to themselves as a regular Cop, but their investigations are not reliable.

    Drunk
    As their Night Action, they can select another player at night as their drinking buddy, preventing them from using any Night Actions of their own.

    Gunsmith
    At Night, they can give another player a Gun. Guns can be used during the day to kill another player.

    Blacksmith
    At Night, they can provide another player with a Vest. Just once, a vest will protect you from a gun shot or the Mafia's Night Kill.

    Agent
    Can send anonymous secret messages during the day.

    Loudmouth
    Publicly Announces anyone who visits them at night.


    Spoiler: Mafia Roles
    Mafia
    A standard mafia goon. They participate in deciding the Night Kill but have no other abilities.

    Hooker
    At Night, they can visit another player and occupy their attention. This blocks that players actions that night.

    Godfather
    Although they are a Mafia player, they appear innocent on Cop reports.

    Spy
    Can send anonymous secret messages during the day.

    Fabricator
    Can give players fake guns or vests that override real items. Fake vests invalidate existing ones and do not prevent death. Fake guns kill the shooter if fired.

    Paparazzi
    Selects a player at Night. When lynched, the Mafia learn the selected player's role.

    Strongman
    Once in the game, they can guarantee the success of the Night Kill.


    Spoiler: Third Party Roles
    Fool
    Wins by getting themselves lynched during the Day. They can also win with the Town.

    Lyncher
    They are particularly annoyed by one specific player. If that player is killed during the Day, they win. Can also win with the Town.

    Alien
    Can visit another player at Night and probe them. They win if all living humans have been probed.


    Schedule

    I will be hosting games on EpicMafia for an hour during each week starting at 3:00pm Sunday (GMT-4)/3:00am Monday (GMT+8). All games will be played out of my own Lobby, which can be found here.    ​
