  • Thanks to many peoples helps my team has improved. However their "staying on the field" power seems to lack. I know it has to do with some bulkiness or is it my skill. Heres a sample of wins of losses. I did have a Rotom-W but decided to change it to Raikou to see if it works better. Togekiss does tend to be the sacrifice mon to let Chomp beef up. Scrafty is for the physical presence

Any and all help is appreciated.

I lead off with Toge and Chomp for a tailwind boost and a follow me to beef up Chomp. Heatran is my Special beef. Cresselia is the support help against special attacks and status moves. I seem to run against Thundrous-I or Amoongus on the regular. If Ice beam is suggested to be removed I would like to some suggestions of who could be useable to replace for an ice move.Scrafty is for the physical presence and disrupter in an opening turn. Willing to change the Ev spread. Raikou is a trail and error thing. I did have a Rotom-w but not to happy with its speed, but nice bulk.

  • Scrafty is currently walled by Ghosts, so give it Crunch over Taunt. It's too slow to make use of it, IMO. It's also too bulky for Focus Sash; give it Chople Berry instead, to cushion the blow of any Fighting moves coming its way.

Really, I don't see the use of HP Psychic on Heatran, other than Fighters, who are already hit hard by Heat Wave; the Hidden Power of choice is Grass or Ice for bulky Waters and Dragons, respectively. Since I gave Scrafty Chople Berry, give Heatran Shuca Berry or Air Balloon instead.

  • Aura Sphere Raikou is locked to a Rash nature which you don't want at all. You should probably replace it with Amoonguss since your weak to Rain and especially TR. Jellicent would also help this issue as it resists many things your already weak to, but Spore under an opponents TR can turn the match in your favor nearly every time - so its more reliable. Bulky Rotom-W with Rest (which won Worlds) is also a great choice.

Another change I recommend is to have Heatran at max speed to get the jump on things, like Breloom and slower Heatrans. Having Sunny Day/Helping Hand on Cresselia (instead of Light Screen/Safeguard) would also turn Heatran into much more of a threat while also helping Garchomp snag those KOs it kept missing.

  • Your Lum Berry Cresselia can handle Thundurus-I very well. Just spam Ice Beam and you win. The trick to beating people who abuse status is to just keep up offensive pressure. Since your Garchomp and Cresselia commonly go through two turns of set-up before doing any damage, I can understand why you may be having issues with status or staying power.

What else is common on PO? Heatran can absorb Will-O-Wisp. If Liepard is common, you could move Lum Berry to Scrafty and reliably beat it. Both Heatran and Cresselia can outspeed Amoonguss/Breloom and threaten them out with their STABs.

  • I have an Amoonguss with Garchomp as lead where I use use Amoonguss status (usually rage powder) and have Garchomp swords at least one turn. Problem is in Showdown 2 swords does x3 damage instead of 4 which the regular game would do. Anyway. I also have a Volcarona that has rage powder.

Which one do you think would be better Volcarona or Amoonguss?
