What scientific name would you give your Pokémon.

I'm only bringing this up since pokemon are animals

They technically must have scientific names.

Example. Charizard.

Flamus dragonus: scientific name stands for flame dragon

The only two I know of that actually have them are Oddish (Oddium wanderus), and Kabutops (Kabutops maximus), neither of which is all that exciting.

I randomly generated 6 Pokemon from the national Pokedex and tried to use Latin naming conventions when coming up with them (and hopefully these worked out, as I know there are a number of words/phrases in Latin that aren't translated exactly the same both ways):

Sudowoodo - Imitatio arbore
Gligar - Volantem scorpionum
Cryogonal - Nix viventem
Gourgeist - Mortuus cucurbita
Girafarig - Duplex panthera
Tangela - Vinea monstrum

So basically, what if Pokemon was done by Square Enix, who love fake Latin? xD

I'd find it hilarious if Cacturne was Biggus Prickus. I'm sorry.

I guess I'll follow Brendino's example and generate six random Pokemon too!

Arceus - Primis Deus
Voltorb - Sphero imitatio
Dodrio - Tribus caput avem
Kartana - Acer gladius
Torterra - Terra testudo
Fennekin - Ignis vulpes

...I'm sorry, these are awful. xD
