  • OK this card is a joke!

Its passive ability helps it to 1HKO stage 2's, but only after your opponent has takes 3 or more prizes.

Its attack is OK, but not when it's the only attack it has. It does 120, which isn't even enough to KO most stage 2's in this generation (e.g. itself!), plus, if you get unlucky on your coin flip, you lose all energy cards attached to it. Even if you get a heads, the chances are it can't attack twice in a row, unless you spam energy onto it...

And its weakness... just terrible... +40 weakness - WTF?

It's HP and RC don't help much either.

3/10 - there are much better cards around if you want a couple of quick KO's...

  • This is a regular Charizard, meant to finish off the game. The main purpose of Charizard is to execute the final blow, that's why almost all of its moves require discarding Energy from Charizard, but provide a huge amount of damage.

The Poke-Body seems ok, due to the fact it's conditional. What makes it bad, is that if you get the upper hand in a card battle(Which normally would be good), the opponent is able to draw 1-2 prices before the game ends in your victory, hopefully, which makes the Poke-Body dead. If you try to let the opponent get the control over the game on purpose and let him draw the 3 prices, it's extremely hard to fight back, even with the Poke-Body in action.

The bad parts are printed on the bottom part of the card, namely the weaknesses etc. This card wouldn't last long if it'd be left alone to the active sector. 40+ Weakness is just wrong. The retreat cost is huge, due to the effects of it's attack that discards valuable Energies.

Overall a decent version of Charizard, but still lacks "it" that doesn't make it worthwhile in a competetive deck.

    7/10

  • Umm...no, just no. Base Set Charizard was wonky already, but with that one you could at least speed up the energy gathering with double colorless and never ended up discarding all four of the cards, and with the new sets it's no longer the one-hit wonder it used to be. In the good old days you could at least count on it to OHKO whatever it attacked. :\

Basically, this is a nerfed base set Zard in an environment that would be highly unfriendly even towards the original. 3/10 there are certainly far more efficient ways of slamming down huge amounts of damage in one go. (That Nasty Headbutt Rampardos comes to mind)

who would want to get hit with 170?

other than ex if opponent has a basic 50hp then this card is totally useless
