Hello, I am danny10257. I like soccer (watching & playing) and playing video games. I want an offensive OU team (dont like walls). My team has done fairly well. It is 6-1 with teams that dont have scizor. Sadly im 0-4 when i do face one. I am willing to make major changes. I do understand your note here for building just for helping, but im just saying ill listen to any advice. Also i rely on revenge killing and then doing some more damage to whatever switches in. ok heres my team.

    JIRACHI @ choice scarf
    serene grace
    80 hp/ 252 attack/ 176 speed
    Jolly
    -iron head
    -u turn
    -trick
    -stealth rock
well i wanted a lead thats fast and doesnt get OHko'Ed without focus sash. works great against most leads, except bulky ones in which case i trick/u-turn.

    ALAKAZAM @ life orb
    synchornize
    6 hp/ 252 speed/ 252 special attack
    timid
    -psychic
    -shadow ball
    -substitute
    -focus blast

its fast and hits hard..... oh and if i sub im almost guaranteed to get two kills. unless its a wall, but if its a counter (usually frail) i can kill it and let sub take the hit.

    GENGAR @ life orb
    levitate
    6 hp/ 252 speed/ 252 special attack
    jolly
    -shadow ball
    -destiny bond
    -energy ball
    -thunderbolt
good coverage and i've killed so many swamperts. destiny bond might be cheap, but it gets job done on slower pokemon.

    INFERNAPE @ life orb
    Blaze
    252 attack/ 194 speed/ 64 special attack
    hasty (+speed, - defense)
    -overheat
    -close combat
    -mach punch
    - u turn
supposed to keep scizor in check. FAILS EPICLY. lol

    WEAVILE @ life orb
    pressure
    6 hp/ 252 attack/ 252 speed
    jolly
    -ice punch
    -ice shard
    -pursuit
    -low kick/ brick break ???
my gengar counter, since its faster it works well. i dont know if to put low kick/ brick break.

    VAPOREON @ choice specs
    water absorb
    188 hp/ 252 Special attack/ 70 speed
    modest
    -surf
    -ice beam
    -signal beam
    -hidden power (electric)
Killed many gyaradoses with this vaporeon. not many people expect such a hard hit from vaporeon. im content with it. :)

the one i hate the most in this team is infernape. like i said before ill listen to any advice you give. btw rating is welcomed too.
I read the rules to post a team, but if i missed something i will change as soon as i know. :)

    ok i guess.

nice pursuit bait you have there. Alakazam is useless in OU as Scizor is the most used pokemon and Tyranitar is the second most used pokemon. both use Pursuit commonly so yeah replace Uselesspursuitbaitzam.

    GENGAR @ life orb
    levitate
    6 hp/ 252 speed/ 252 special attack
    timid
    -shadow ball
    -focus blast
    -hidden power [fire]/explosion
    -thunderbolt
good coverage and i've killed so many swamperts. destiny bond might be cheap, but it gets job done on slower pokemon.

lol jolly gar with all special attacks. anyways, energy ball isn't really good so use focus blast which provides perfect coverage with shadow ball. hp fire / explosion > destiny bond.

    INFERNAPE @ life orb
    Blaze
    252 attack/ 194 speed/ 64 special attack
    hasty (+speed, - defense)
    -overheat
    -close combat
    -mach punch
    - u turn
supposed to keep scizor in check. FAILS EPICLY. lol

as you said you hate infernape, you can use magnezone/gyarados/rotom-a here to counter Scizor.

    WEAVILE @ life orb
    pressure
    6 hp/ 252 attack/ 252 speed
    jolly
    -ice punch
    -ice shard
    -pursuit

my gengar counter, since its faster it works well. i dont know if to put low kick/ brick break.

weavile is pretty bad like alakazam in this metagame, is scizor bait, has low powered STAB moves etc. weavile needs to be replaced, Choice Scarf Tyranitar/Choice Band Scizor are better Gengar counters.

    VAPOREON @ choice specs
    water absorb
    188 hp/ 252 Special attack/ 70 speed
    modest
    -surf
    -ice beam
    -signal beam
    -hidden power (electric)
Killed many gyaradoses with this vaporeon. not many people expect such a hard hit from vaporeon. im content with it. :)

    seems okay.

Weavile is metagame weak like said before, but if you wish to use Weavile the best set I'd say is the CB Revenge Killing set.

    Weavile @ Choice Band
    Jolly nature
    EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
    -Ice Punch / Night Slash
    -Ice Shard
    -Pursuit
    -Low Kick

Choice Band because Weavile won't be surving long and you need as much power as possible. The best way to use this set is to bring it in after something has went down to revenge kill. Actually is good insurance against top threats like DNite, Mence, Starmie, Gengar, Rotom, TTar, etc. I personally run Night Slash over Ice Punch to deal with bulky Rotoms better who decided not to switch out than Pursuit would. Most of the things Ice Punch would hit are already KOed by Ice Shard if they've been weakened a little by your former Pokemon. Your biggest threats here are Scizor and Gyarados.

    MAGNEZONE @ CHOICE SCARF
    MAGNET PULL
    252 SPEED/ 252 SP. ATTACK
    MODEST
    -THUNDERBOLT
    -HIDDEN POWER (FIRE)
    -SIGNAL BEAM
    -FLASH CANNON
WORKS BRILLIANTLY!! IT TRULY IS THE BEST SCIZOR COUNTER AROUND.

    WEAVILE @ CHOICE BAND
    pressure
    40 hp/ 252 attack/ 218 speed
    jolly
    -NIGHT SLASH
    -ice shard
    -pursuit
    -low kick
my gengar counter, since its faster it works well. i dont know if to put low kick/ brick break.
MADE IT BETTER. THANKS TO FREAKY LOCZ14 FOR THIS SET.

    VAPOREON @ choice specs

I came with this Alakazam set you might want to try it out:

    Alakazam @ Life Orb
    Timid nature
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    -Charge Beam
    -Psychic
    -Focus Blast
    -Shadow Ball

CM Zam has trouble finding time to set-up. Bring this in on something like a weakened Gyarados or a Pokemon really low in health and finish it off with Charge Beam. In the process get your Special Attack boost (70% chance) and sweep from there.

Its very standard, and generic. But, that also makes it a very good and balanced team. Good job!

No...just no. Zam NEEDS sub if it wishes to function even remotely viably in OU or its just Scizor bait.

Scizor needs Sub? You mean Zam.

And I have to agree. That set I provided is more for UU I only suggested it because our friend here seems dead set on using the same Pokemon just changing movesets. There was a time where Zam was a threat in OU but that has changed since Scizor became so popular with Platinum changes.

despite the obviousnissness of being scizor bait, that charge beam looks fun. ill try it on shoddy and see how it goes.
EDIT: FAILs EPICLY. i havent tried it in uu either, but i prefer ou and since it doesnt work in there ill drop it and sub again

Zam is a UU Pokemon you know. Starmie is a better OU offensive Psychic type in OU. That set's a bit gimmicky because you only have a 70% chance of getting your stat boost. Offensive Starmie mostly runs Surf/Hyrdro Pump, Ice, TBolt/Grass Knot, Recover/Rapid Spin.

just because its uu doesnt mean it cant rape in ou. in fact i kill starmies with zam. :) besides, it faster and has the special attack stat way higher.
EDIT: what pokemon can replace weavile?? im having trouble with it.

Zam wants to be partnered with Magnezone so most of it's threats (namely Scizor and any Steel-type with half-way decent Special Defense). The only threats that remain are Weavile and Tyranitar though if Tar hasn't spammed DD it can't beat Zam unless it has bad hax with Focus Blast.

If it's a revenge killer you are looking for ScarfJirachi does that job quite well but with a different moveset. Run something like Iron Head, Ice Punch, ThunderPunch, and a 4th move of your choice. Fire Punch makes it a Scizor killer since Rachi resists Bullet Punch and outspeeds Scizor attempting you use Superpower even without the Scarf. This also prevents Magnezone from beating it. Zen Headbutt provides some secondary STAB and you can always run U-Turn for hitting Celebi.
