  • This is all just stuff from the pastebin compilation, quite a bit of it is useless to most ends (The ball textures, trainer teams, encounter tables)
    In fact I'd say the only real useful stuff here are the stats of the Mega Evolutions, Level up and Move Pool (And even this is sketchy since it blatantly says Altered learnsets for obtainable), the music (if only barely, since it's not complete), and I'd say that's about it.

    Also I'd REALLY mark this thread as spoilers, since this thread's title is 100% uninformative as to what it contains; All it says is ORAS. To be honest, it just seems like you wanted to be the first one to drop the information here with little regard for anything else.

  • You realize it's almost useless to copy and paste their pastebin to here? That pastebin is always being updated with new content and newer pastebin revisions are being posted when they find something.

    Then it should be easy to "Edit" the post at any given time with new info

  • It's less hate that he found it, and more informing that he shouldn't have posted the stuff without saying what it came from.
    The thread initially said "ORAS" and that was it, it gave no indication as to what the thread actually contained.
    Furthermore, the thread contains stuff ripped from the demo - stuff that was not supposed to be seen until the full release, leaked and spoilery content. Now I don't know Pokecommunity or the Game Development board's stance on ORAS spoilers, so I was taking the safe route and saying that the thread should have kinda informed that this stuff was potential spoilers.
    There's also the fact that most of this stuff really can't be used in a standard Essentials game due, so it's relatively pointless to paste all of it here.
    Besides, by now all of this information is outdated, as even more information has been leaked, which is another reason why it shouldn't have been posted right away - more datamining was being done which revealed even more stuff hidden away.
    This all is just my opinion on the matter, and not everyone will share it.

    I wasn't aware this was the Pokémon Essentials section of PokéCommunity. I thought it was Game Development. People can make games using other game engines, you know.

  • Fair enough I guess, it's just most of this stuff seems like it'd fit only Nintendo's proprietary engines, and you'd have to make your own game support their assets, or reference the assets while making your own. I suppose in the end, it's a moot point.
    The real thing that annoyed me was that this stuff spoils a game that isn't even out yet, and is being paraded about as if it should be public information.

    I don't think there are much 'spoilers' for a game which is basically a remake, based on XY engine, only few special extra events could be considered as spoilers, plus by reading the title its up to the viewers to get info spoil or avoid seeing the thread if.
