Miguel is a very hungry cyndaquil.

His tummy is growling like a snubbull, and it is making him feel very awkward.

And so, he leaves his little cyndaquil hut to go on a little cyndaquil hunt for food.

He searches through the forest, and comes across a cheri berry.

Its funny green stem reminds him of a spoink's tail, and the red fruit looks like a gurdurr's nose.

He ate the small berry whole.

Oh no! The berry is too hot!

Its juices burn his mouth, so he spits it out.

He continues through the forest, and spots a rawst berry.

It is as blue as the sky, and its leaves look like a silly green mane.

He struggles to bite through the tough berry, but manages to chew a piece off.

Oh no! The berry is too bitter!

His face contorts in disgust, and he spits the berry out.

Not long after, he comes across a sitrus berry.

It is yellow as the sun, and shaped like a plump snorlax. It is so big, he holds it with both hands.

He tries to bite, but it is too big for his little cyndaquil mouth.

He put it back where he found it.

Lastly, he comes across a pecha berry.

It is pink as love, and shaped like love.

His tiny cyndaquil mouth bites clean through the soft berry.

Sweet and delicious, his favorite flavors!

He bites more and more into it until it is all gone.

That sure hit the spot. The pecha berry filled his tiny cyndaquil tummy.

Satisfied, he returns from his little cyndaquil hunt to his little cyndaquil hut for a nap.

Happy tummy. Happy Miguel.

Venia Silente

Inspectious. Good for napping.

Miguel is a very good Cyndaquil who deserves love.

When this was posted, I can say where were some doubts whether the story fits here or not. On my end I do not see why not and I can say that one of the big points the story has going for it is that it goes for brevity and for leaving the reader to build up the imagery for this as one would a children's tale. Sometimes, really, you don't need to put more.

Also good work referencing Pokémon and their tastes.

Short, sweet (like the berry), a simple and good work.

Thank you for the reply! For a while I was worried no one liked it enough to comment.
