Which games are you familiar with for breeding?

    Changes from X/Y to Sun/Moon
    - Automatically deposits eggs that do fit into your team into the PC.
    - Checks Individual Values with the Judge feature. Saves so much time.
    - May inherit either parent's ball, rather than only the mother's. Grabs the male or genderless Pokemon's ball when breeding with Ditto.
    - Retains regional forms by giving the mother (or father, with a Ditto) an Everstone
    - No longer levels the parent at the Daycare. (Made retaining egg moves annoying before.)
    - No O-Powers. Gives you a Rotom Hatching power in Ultra Sun/Moon. Replenishes specific Rotom Powers less easily than O-Powers. Could stick eggs in Poke Pelago's Isle Avue, though. Holds 18 eggs/Pokemon when fully upgraded.
    - Added Bottle Caps for maximizing IVs on existing Pokemon in Ultra Sun/Moon. Cannot pass on Hyper Trained IVs, however. Uses the value they were prior.

Recalls very few mechanic changes between Sun/Moon and Sword/Shield, as far as actual breeding. (Note: Could be mistaken. Bred very little in Sword/Shield.) Applies mainly to Pokemon after hatching.
    - Allows you to acquire egg moves on a Pokemon after hatching.
    - Added Bottle Caps for maximizing IVs at level 100. Edit: Forgot this was in Ultra Sun/Moon.
    - Introduced an item to give Pokemon their Hidden Ability in the downloadable content.

Recommends beginning with the PokeCommunity Daily article, then. Will add a few more things.

    Shiny Odds
Increases the odds with two things: Pokemon from different regions and the Shiny Charm.
    - With both the Shiny Charm and Pokemon from two different regions: 1 in 512
    - With the Shiny Charm and Pokemon from the same region: 1 in 1365
    - With two Pokemon from different regions, but no Shiny Charm: 1 in 683
    - Base chance: 1 in 4096

Acquires the Shiny Charm by completing the Alola Dex.

    Other Tip
Keep a Pokemon with Flame Body or Magma Armor in the party. Halves the required time to hatch an egg. Pokemon with one or both of these as normal abilities: Magby line, Slugma line, Litwick line, Larvesta line, and Fletchinder+Talonflame.
