Axew is found at Mistralton Cave, and Fraxure is found at Victory Road, outside, on the cracked ground.

  • Whats the second clock for, when you save your game.. for example, the time now is 9am, but when i go to save my game, it says 9am at the top along with the date and my location, then underneath where it says my badges, it says the time is 19:54

so what's this time for? thanks :)

That means your total playtime, which doesn't really matter in general, but it's still something nice to know. :)

  • Ok a quick question about EV training. Just want to know if i am doing this right or not. Im currently trying to EV train my LV50 Electivire in Attack. I have given him the Power Bracer and am battling low level Patrat's. Am i right in saying that if i battle about 122 of them, once he gets LV100 you will notice that he has been EV trained.

You shouldn't even need that many. A Patrat gives one and the Bracer four attack EVs. For a maxed-out 255 Attack stats, you need to fight only 51 Patrat. That's just Attack, though. Speed or whatever else you want on it needs to be done separately.

Ok thanks for that, im presuming i wont notice the change in the stat until i train him to level 100 thought?

  • No, stats recalculate after every battle, although yes, by definition it gets more and more visible as the level gets higher.

Are fighting type pokémon useful in black/white?
I wanted to use a Sawk, but if it's usefulness stops after beating lenora...

...Winona isn't in Black and White. I think you mean Skyla.

But as a whole, I do believe they are useful - especially against Team Plasma (which uses mainly dark types and such). I used Sawk the whole way through on one playthrough and did pretty well, though you're best if you have a fire/ice type to back it up towards the end, in my opinion. :x

    edit: lol saw your edit XD;

A fire and ice type will be a pain
Are there even any useful ones in gen 5?
Maybe Darumaka or Litwick... If those are available...

If I pick up Sawk I already have 4 members on my party
And I was leaving a spot for the electric tarantula thingy
(I'm afraid it will take ages for me to get one though)
Is it just me or did they actually create a useful spider for once?

So that'd make my future party something like this:

Sawk (1) maybe I could replace it with Scrafty (1?) later on...
    Serperior (1)
Simipour (1) (why oh why did you have to have lonely nature, sniff...)
    Unfezant (3) / Darmanitan (2) / Chandelure (1)
    Galvantula (1)

Ah it's too damn hard :P
I'm not able to get all of those in the early game

If I can actually get a nice fire type I wasted my time with pidove...
Sigh... That's why I hate bird types... They tend to be so replaceable...

    Suggestions / Ideas?

  • I picked up a Throh (not unlike your Sawk ofc) specifically to deal with Lenora. I then kept it on my team through the whole game because it was just so fantastic. It's a real powerhouse, and I recommend keeping one. And Throh and Sawk were two of just a very few Pokemon that I had trouble with when I ran into them lategame. So yeah, def worth it.

    Then I'll keep it :D
Now I dumped pidove in the box
And hoping to find a nice fire type pretty soon in the game
And an electric type or ice type
Since I have 2 pokémon weak to flying right now
And my panpour can't actually handle flying types all that well
Are there any new ice types in gen 5?

  • Cryogonal and Cubchoo/Beartic are the only ones that spring to mind, but the former is rather rare. I'm sure there are more, though, discounting Kyurem.

Yeah there is. The bear with a snot and the vanilla sundae.

    Wow...
    They actually look usable :D
    Yay

I might actually go for it
Now to choose between Darmantian and Chandelure...

Which one would work best if I go with an ice type on my team

    Serperior
    Simipour
    Sawk
    Darmantian / Chandelure
    Cryogonal / Beartic
Electric type, preferably the spider lol

Eww, don't use Simipour. There are a lot of more useful water types like Jellicent and Swanna. And Chandelure over Darmanitan. Though, for your ice type, if it was me I'd use Vanilluxe. But its up to you on that. And for your fighting type, I'd rather go for Conkeldurr if you can trade. But I have a Gurdurr and I think its still great.

If you really prefer that team, i suggest you train sawk and darmanitan to at least lvls 35-40+ then you are ready to take on Brycen.
