  • EDIT: Just to let everyone know, since it was brought to my attention that I forgot to specify, this is not a chapter-based RP. It's freeform with broad goals. If this affects your decision to stay with the RP, please let me know before it starts.

perfectmonster, you're accepted, I'll update the first post.

Tandem, I also updated your profile, thanks for letting me know.

Also, Royal, you said yours was updated too? I'll update the first post with yours, too, then.

Mine is done as well, so I'll put that up. Here it is on its own, for those who want to read it in normal-sized text. :P

    PMD: The End. (PG-13)

    Name: Elsa

    Age: 14

    Gender: Female

    Pokemon: Vulpix

Defining Characteristics: Most of her defining traits are fairly small and simple, but they set her apart nonetheless. She has solid-color belly as opposed to a cream one, but she does have cream-colored markings that underline her eyes. Her feet and the insides of her ears are also the same color as her tail and "bangs".

Personality: Elsa has always been quiet. She's naturally very shy, and tends to gravitate towards people with strong personalities. She was at the awkward age of 14 when she met her fate at Snowpoint, which didn't help her social anxiety, and also made her very stubborn. Even though she would rarely openly question someone's judgement, she would easily deviate on her own path in silent defiance. She also doesn't do well in stressful situations, getting angry and upset at what she finds unfair.

History: Elsa grew up in Snowpoint City, and never ventured far from her home. She didn't pursue a trainer career, like some of her friends did, but instead stayed in the city and took up a job at the local Mart. She worked a short-lived job as a tour guide in the local temple, but was let go because she spoke so softly that none of the tourists could understand her. She met each member of the group as they traveled through the city and the surrounding area, and was the one who secured them camping ground around the lake. She had a batch of fire pokemon which she didn't train for battling, but she used for warmth and protection. These included Houndour, Chimchar, and Growlithe, the more exotic of which were gifts from her father, who traveled overseas. She usually kept them close, as a comfort and a safety blanket, but on the trip to Lake Acuity she left them at home, resolving to push herself to be more confident. Unfortunately, she never had the chance to do so...

Other Info: Her closeness and fondness for fire pokemon is probably what led to her awaking as a Vulpix.

  • The Beginning of the End

Okay guys, now that we've got the whole group, it's time to start. :D This post is going to be super-long because it contains OOC info and the first actual RP post, but it will be shorter once the info is moved to the OOC thread.
    First Goal: Assembling the Group
    PMD: The End. (PG-13)

First, in case I wasn't clear in the first post, we will be starting in the area circled on the above map in yellow.
This is important: Your character will wake up at the very edge of the lake. It's not necessary to try and pinpoint exactly where everyone is, so don't worry too much about specific directions.
The first point of the plot will be to gather everyone together. It doesn't really matter how long this takes or how many posts, as long as it happens eventually. After the group is united, we can discuss further actions, although after that point it's pretty open-ended.
    Wild Pokemon
Wild pokemon are everywhere and are violent. The only options in dealing with them are usually either fighting or fleeing. Wild pokemon are NPCs and can be controlled by anyone, so it's up to the player how their characters encounter and deal with them.
    Normal Pokemon
Normal pokemon won't appear until the group is together for the first time, for plot reasons. After that, you can encounter them as you see fit, although remember that they are fairly scarce. They are also NPCs.
    Final Notes

    • Your characters can recognize pokemon species and speak the language as a native by default, unless it's your preference to change this. Otherwise, they don't know anything about the area or current disaster.
    • So far there is no specific list of the pokemon species that live in this region, but keep encounters logical. Something like a Lunatone probably wouldn't appear by a forest-surrounded lake, for example.
    • Even though the rules have a maximum post size, those don't apply for the first post, since it's meant to be a detailed introduction. Make it as long as you want.
    • You may wish to include the final moments of their human life, or the moment of transition, but you don't have to.
    • After this post, put all OOC comments in double parentheses or some other obvious manner of seperation.
I think that's all for now... so let's begin!

    The End.

There was nothing but darkness and fear.

The pain which has ripped through her body moments before was a swiftly fading memory, melting away with what seemed to be her physical presence. She looked in the direction she assumed was down, but of course saw nothing. Only darkness.

Memories began to play back to her, more vivid than ever before. She recalled the faces of her friends... the jokes they told around the sputtering campfire hours ago, the exact dialogues being heard again in crisp detail. Then, as soon as they were remembered... they were gone. She couldn't remember the faces...

What faces? The camp... what camp? When had she gone camping?

Panic gripped her again as she realized she was moving. At least, it felt like movement. She imagined she would feel a breeze, had she any skin for it to brush against. There was no perception of where she was going... only that she was no longer stationary.

What was that guy's name again?

She had lost more memories in her lapse of concentration. Her past was still on reverse before her, like a tape wound backwards. She tried to reach out, grab one, hold it close, but they slipped past her, disappearing like smoke blown away in the wind. Desperately she tried to keep a grasp on some, memories of good times, memories of childhood days... but by the time she thought to preserve them, she couldn't even remember what they were.

    Elsa.

That was it. The one thing she had to keep a grasp on. Above nothing else. A single remnant of her life... yes, her life.

    She was dead.

With newfound fear she lunged out, grabbing her name, and held it close to her... well, not her body. Her essence. It was all she cared about now. She let other memories fly past, not even watching, not caring. She had to keep this one fact.

    Elsa. Elsa Elsa Elsa.

The movement was picking up now. There was a sense of impending change, that her time in this blank realm was ending soon. She saw the last few memories of her life fly past, stripped away by invisible winds. Her first word... her uncomfortable diapers... her mother's smile... the first nursing... the first glimpse of the world... the soft churning noises of a pre-world, not unlike the one she was currently in...

    And then she was gone.

    -o-O-O-o-

    PMD: The End. (PG-13)

    Elsa.

Furry ears pricked as a flurry of sounds came into their canals. The newly conscious brain between them hurried to interpret the noise, fumbling to find words to assign to them.

Grass. Wind. Water. Wind blowing grass. Wind blowing water.

In this manner, the though process became more and more complex as the body warmed up. Lungs, shaky at first, now brought strength to the beating heart. Skin became aware of a prickly sensation... ah, more grass. The feet felt a strange brushing, pushing forward and receding rhythmically over them, leaving a tingle that was... altogether uncomfortable.

    Water... GAH! WATER!

Instinctively, the little Vulpix leaped up, landing on unsteady feet with her eyes wide open. This was perhaps not something they were ready for, because a vast sensory input was taking place. Slowly but surely, the black orbs blinked profusely and sorted out the surrounding sights. Tall grass was blowing in a constant gentle breeze before her, while to her side, water lapped up against the green land. Not far away, a thick forest of trees was gently swaying, taking up the entire horizon. Satisfied with the assessment of the area, the little pokemon began to search its memory regarding how exactly it came to be here.

    There was nothing.

Taken aback, the Vulpix swayed and quickly sat down. Within moments, it was clear that there were no memories at all before this point. No origin... no explaination... no name...

    Elsa.

The name came suddenly into her mind, and she kept it. She could assign it to nothing else... no object around her, no sensation... so she took it for herself. Elsa. She liked it. The fact that is was in her head, however, when little else was, intrigued her.

Her mind was buzzing with questions, but a sudden movement in her vision caused her head to snap to her right. She saw a movement, down by the lake, something that wasn't grass or water. She froze, and her fur prickled up in fear, but she didn't know what to do. Every instinct told her to run, but her curiosity wanted to push her forward... so in the end she was grounded in her same spot, with a mind full of nothing but questions, and now faced with possible danger in an unknown world.

((It's not too good, but it's a start! Can't wait to get this show on the road! :D))

  • "Hey all, headin' to sleep now," Devi shouted out to the five others that crowded around the small bonfire on top of the ground which was covered with many an inch to two inches of white snow.

The five faces turned to her with the fire dancing off them in reflected light. All had smiles spread across their face, from Elsa, the youngest of them all, to Isaac, Jasmine, and Jasmine's boyfriend who followed her closely in age.

She returned the smile in a beaming grin and her ring-covered fingers tapped against her forearms as she had them crossed against her chest. Her scar over her left eye was hardly visible as she stood in the tiny shadows of her tent. She had left Espeon and her others at her uncle's in Snowpoint City.

"Alright, see you in the morning," the others spoke.

Devi gave one last smile and a nod before walking into her tent and zipped it to the top, however she left a tiny bit of it open for the cool air to slip in. Then she slowly slipped into her fluffy and warm sleeping bag and closed her eyes.

As she felt herself slip away and after hearing the others walk away into their tents with soft whispers and crunches of her feet, Devi took a deep breath. It was alright being the oldest – Devi felt that those people, her friends, she felt like she was responsible for them – that it was up to her to make sure they remained alright.

That's when she heard something outside – not the footsteps of one of her friends… something else.

She pulled herself up to listen closer to the side. The sway of trees and then what she heard made her eyes widen. There was the crunch of roots and then she heard the snow…

She jumped from her sleeping bag and tore open the tent and ran out and she saw it, in the distance but quickly approaching.

"Everyone! Wake up!" she shouted. "Avalanche! We need to get ou-"

She cut off as everything went dark. Her body went numb as something cold spread down her spine. All she could hear was the snow tumbling down and the snapping of the roots of trees. There was the crunch as tents were flattened and what she thought to be a scream.

She wanted to force herself to scream for her friends but she couldn't speak – the darkness suffocated her.

    She was slipping away…

    There was nothing left…

    Her friends – gone…

    Like she was…

And there was no going back…

    But… who were her friends…

    Wait, what happened..?

    Who was she..?

She felt a soft, warm feeling against her back. Small little hairs seemed to tickle the sides of her body and her eyes slowly fluttered open. Above her was a blue sky with small, little, white clouds floating about.

She could feel her arms, her feet too. She blinked several times and forced herself to sit up.

Around her there was the grass – beautiful green grass that swayed to the soft breeze. She looked around. There was a small lake to her left and that seemed to be it around her.

She struggled to her feet, her head and body aching. She looked about once more.

Who was she? What was her name?

There was one word that kept replaying itself in her head.

    Devi. Devi. Devi. Devi.

Was she Devi? She knew the things around her. Lake. Grass.

    She must be Devi.

Looking around once more she felt some strange sensation in her gut – she had never felt this before. It was like butterflies in her stomach – was it fear? Panic?

    Yes, panic.

Her golden eyes widened and she looked around. Again, no one around, but she needed to find someone… she just had too.

So, she set off in search of someone that could help her and maybe help find out who she is.

  • ((OCC: Yeah, here we go! Woohoo! This is gonna be so much fun... And I hope you dont mind me using your o-O-O-o thing Deoxys!))

There was only the darkness and freezing cold. Leonardo was curled up, but he knew there was no point. He was going. But still, this life must have been worth something, right? He desperately grabbed at the tendrils of his life as they slowly ebbed away...

There were five faces around the campsite. Were they...friends? Yes, they were. Leonardo reminded himself as he pointed them out one by one. Raydin. Devi. Issac. Elsa. And Jasmine, his first love. It was late, and one by one they left for their tents. One by one he forgot their names. Soon there was only Jasmine and him. He took her hand and led her back to her tent, which was the farthest away from his.

"I'll see you in the morning." Leo smiled as he said it. A quick peck on the cheek and she was gone. Now he was walking back to his own cabin, kicking up the freezing snow. He got to his tent and began to unzip the flaps. That was when he heard a loud rumble and a hard pattering that sounded like bucket sized raindrops. He turned around, and there he saw a massive wall of snow and rock heading towards his tent.

"Everyone! Wake up!" a girl's voice shouted. What was her name again? "Avalanche! We need to get ou-" she was cut off as her tent was enveloped by the snow. Leonardo stood still as it rushed towards him. This couldn't be happening. Then it slammed into him, knocking him down to the ground as he yelled.

There was a peephole in the snow near his head that he could see through. The tents were gone, as well as the nameless people. Jasmine's tent was the last standing. He heard a scream as that too was destroyed, the scream cut off.

And then she was gone too...

    o-O-O-o

The thing shifted as life returned to it. A massive creature, fearsome in looks. No. That wasn't a creature...it was...him.

He opened his eyes and the sun shone into them, blinding him momentarily. He shut them again with a painful groan and rolled over. He was on his stomach now and something was tickling against his tummy. He tried opening his eyes again, but slowly this time.

After a few minutes in which his eyes adjusted, it opened its eyes fully. The place came into focus. He was in a heavy rainforest. The humidity pressed down on him and he saw the towering masses of trees and vines. The ground was hard and wet, and several roots were sticking into his stomach. To his left was a massive lake, fog rolling off the surface.

Directly in front of him was a massive clump of thorns. It seemed out of place in this forest, just as he did.
    Spina.
The word flashed into his mind. What did it mean. He looked at the thorns again as the word resounded in his head. It must have something to do with the thorns. Spina. Spina. Spina. He decided to take it as his name.

No-one was around. The silence was eerie. Spina pulled himself up and got to his feet. Something wasn't right. Who was he? Where had he come from? He had no memory of anything until a few minutes ago. He understood how to speak, recognised what things were, but Spina himself was a blank. He looked down at himself.

He looked down. He was pretty tall, standing at over six feet maybe? He felt like he weighed a lot. He had claws on his hands and feet, which were large and chunky. His head felt large. As he probed around he discovered pointed ears and sharp teeth. He needed to see himself. As he walked to the edge of the lake, he felt something swinging behind him. A tail!

Looking down at the water, he saw his reflection. He was... a Kangaskhan? Funny. He remembered what Pokemon were too. But there was something else. He realised that normal Kangaskhan had a pouch and carried around a little baby. He had neither. There were also funny red marks all over him. Somehow, he was different.

He needed to get out of here. Maybe someone could tell him something. Turning around, Spina began to walk through the unknown terrain, feeling a sense of emptiness and loneliness that confused him even more.

    Spina
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
Pokemon: Kangaskhan, except the male version, which doesn't have a pouch or the baby version of the Pokemon.
    Defining Characteristics:
Spina is one of the most unique member of the Kangaskhan species. Not only is he missing the baby Pokemon of which every other one cares for, but he is missing the pouch in which to hold them as well. He is the first ever male Kangaskhan, or at least the first one that has ever been actually seen. Apart from his lack of parenting equipment, he also has red markings all over his body. He has red skin lining his shoulder pads, on his elbows, knees and on his tail. Half of the spines down his back are red as well. Apart from this, he has what looks like claw marks on his stomach from when he was attacked by a Pokemon as a human.
Personality: Spina is more of a lone wolf. He prefers sitting in his own little corner rather that getting in amongst a crowd. This quality often gets him teased at school, labeled as an outcast. But Spina doesn't care as long as he is happy with himself. Most people would see him as shy because of his social status, but this is actually not true. He is always willing to try something new and exciting, something that would scare lots of people. He was very caring towards his Pokemon and he would be to any friends he did manage to make.
History: Spina was born in Oreburgh City under the name Leonardo Comins, but his family almost instantly moved away because they didn't want the fumes from the coal mine to harm their new baby. They instead started his life in Sunyshore City, where there was always sunlight. As he grew up he started going down to the local gym and watching the Gym Leader, Volkner, battle brave trainers in pursuit of the gym badge. He loved watching these battles and made an ambition to become a trainer. The other kids at school laughed at him when he voiced his dreams, but he was determined.
One day, when he was down at the local beach, he met a girl named Jasmine Levine. The two of them became very good friends, and visited each other regularly. Sometimes Spina went over and helped her with her little brothers and sisters. They both discovered that they both wanted to be trainers, and decided to travel together when they were old enough.
When Spina turned 13 years of age, his parents finally let him go on his own journey. When he told Jasmine, however, she told him that she had been given the task of looking after her siblings. So Spina left for the Hoenn region alone. Over the next two and a half years, he travelled all around the region, catching his own Pokemon and battling other trainers, during which he obtained 3 scars along his belly from a wild Zangoose. He was living his dream. Eventually he managed to defeat the eight gym leaders and obtain the right to fight the Elite 4, but he decided against it and went back to Sinnoh. Upon returning home, he found that Jasmine was gone, having slipped out during the night. Spina decided to look for her.
With his old team of Pokemon, Spina travelled around the region in search of his old friend. One night, he was just arriving in Oreburgh City, his old hometown, when he saw a familiar face coming out of the gym. Jasmine had just won her first gym badge and the two decided to travel together. Sometime over the course of the journey, the two developed feelings for each other and started dating. Soon they were in a relationship. When they met up with the other four and decided to go camping with them, they were closer than ever. But then the two of them vanished. Was this new adventure going to strengthen their relationship, or tear it apart...?
Other Info: Was in a romantic relationship with Jasmine (Tandem's character) in his human life. Tandem has agreed to this and is going to change her SU accordingly

  • Excuse me, but that is MY character and I spent a GREAT deal of time and effort into making him. Besides, you can't come in to random roleplays and steal people's characters.

    i want his one

Alright, let's start off here: If you read the first post or the posts afterwards you'll know that these are peoples' sign-ups. You CANNOT go into a roleplay and say you "want" a sign-up because it ain't going to happen whether you want to join the roleplay or not! Like perfectmonster said, people take their time and effort to make them and don't have the patience and things like this to happen. So, delete your post.

  • Everything was blank. Issac couldn't breathe at all. The last thing he heard was somebody screaming "Avalanche!" Before he knew, it, He felt like he was drifting to an abyss. The rocks had crushed issac and the others, He struggled to move but couldn't feel a thing. Then everything became fuzzy... The 5 trainers he traveled with became nameless, And any memories before that were gone.

    Issac was dead.

    "issac..."

"Issac...? ugh...." He had no idea where the idea of the name came from but accepted it. "My name is issac...? gah my head..." Everything was still all dark, But he could at least feel and hear what was around him. He could hear wind blowing through the grass, And could feel water moving up to his feet. *!* Issac later woke up as soon as water got cold enough for him to react to it.

"Where am I... My name is issac and.... and...." With his head still on slight pain, he scratched his head which felt extremely hard. Later he realized that he was wearing a skull helmet and holding a club in his hand. "..Well I'm also a cubone, At least I'm making progress..."

It was extremely quiet where issac was. The only sound he could hear was the water from the lake. He couldn't help but call out to the other side of the lake hoping someone or something would hear him. "HELLO?! IF SOMETHING IS ACTUALLY ALIVE OUT THERE, GIVE SOME SORT OF A SIGN!" The cry for help echoed across the lake where hopefully something or someone would have heard him.

As soon as Issac called out to the other side of the lake, the bushes behind him started to move around a little. "That was fast..." Issac then turned around to the bushes and yelled, "Hey! Comon out of there... If you have any idea where the crap I am, I'd appreciate the..." Before Issac could finish the sentence a wild rattata Jumped out of the bush and bit Issac's left arm!

"*erk...* YAAAAAAOOWWW!!!!" He screamed out painfully. His cry of pain was louder then his call out to the lake.

"Get off! Get off!" He said shaking the Rattata off of his arm. "Ugh.. So much for the friendly treatment... What was that for?!" Rattata didn't reply, but instead hissed at cubone as if it were asking for a fight.

"Don't think your running off after that nasty trick, Come closer, I dare you." Issac wittingly taunted to wild Rattata and went into a fighting position. The Rattata fell for the taunt and ran straight for the cubone.

"Hmm..." As the wild pokemon got close enough, Issac griped his club and smacked the rattata right across the face! It felt extremely satisfying... But odd at the same time. Issac had no memory of anything other then the last 5 minutes yet was able to use his weapon as if he had known about it all his life.

"You wanna try that again?!" He taunted the wild rattata again. It was extremely angry now... Gaining a huge burst of speed, The Rattata ran circles around Issac who was helplessly swinging his club around hoping to hit it. "Stop.. Moving!..Crap!" Eventually he was attacked right in the back by the small Rattata. *oof...* Issac Fell face first to the ground and was starting to get really tired. "Alright... Now you've gone and done it..." Rattata once again went for the same strategy but this time, Issac threw his bone straight into his direction. Unfortunately it missed...and left the wild rattata chuckling at such an epic failure... until the bone came flying back to the annoying rat and hit him right in the back of his head!

Issac caught his club as it flew back to him and watched as the damaged rattata walked back into the shrubs it that it jumped out of. "Well... That went well..." Issac said to himself in an extremely satisfied tone. "Wonder if anybody else is nearby..." After the battle, Somebody must have heard the whole fight, Issac wisely stayed put and waited for somebody to find him.

Suddenly the bushes started the shake a bit more then usual. "Back? Oh I'm not falling for this one..." He said more prepared this time. Out of the bushes, Came A male raticate, And a horde of 10 other rattata, Including the one that issac just defeated. It turned out that the one that issac had wiped the floor with was the daughter of the wild raticate. Issac was struck with a slight tremble of fear, After that one battle, He wasn't suited for another one, Especially against TEN of them...

"Oh...heh... Hi...." Issac said nervously to the Raticate. "Are.... you related to that Rattata? Look I'm sorry and all but she bit my arm and I had no choice but..." Once again, He was interrupted by the Raticate that suddenly made an attempt to bite his other arm. Luckily, Issac quickly dodged out of the way. "Oh crap..." Without a second thought, Issac quickly made a run for it, as the wild raticate and the other small group of rattata chased after him.

"Crap... crap... CRAP..." Was all he could say as the horde began to catch up to him. Luckily for him he happened to find a Gible. that was wandering around. Was it a wild one? No... A gible wouldn't be in this kind of area.. At this point, Issac really could care less. As he ran into the Gible's Direction, Issac yelled.. "HEY! Don't just stand there! Run for it!" He yelled as he ran right past it.

((Hope your fine with a big event such as this. Seeing how we're allowed to control wild pokemon, I thought this would be a funny way for the team to get grouped up))

  • before...

It was cold outside, but Jasmine barely felt it. As she sat around the campfire with her friends surrounding her, she felt as warm and comfortable as ever. She sipped softly at a cup of hot cocoa in her gloved hands as she listened to the buzz of conversation around her. She didn't say much, but was merely content to listen to what everyone else was talking about. It was late, and she was tired. Blinking wearily, Jazz yawned and leaned against Leo, who was sitting next to her.

Luckily for Jasmine, it was not long before everyone else was tired too, and began to head off to bed. While her tent was on the end of the row, Jasmine was glad that she had Leo to walk her there. She bade him goodnight with a peck on the cheek, and headed into her tent. She had only a few blissful moments of quiet, before it sounded like the world was ripping apart around her. She heard the terrified yells of her friends, and someone - Devi? - shout "Avalanche!". Jasmine could barely blink before the terrible rumbling and the rocks were upon her. No sound escaped her throat, but as the snow came crashing down on her, her last thoughts were of her friends and Leo - maybe they had escaped in time... Maybe...

    the beginning.

    "Whaa-?"

The sun was bright, almost blinding, as a small, sheep-like pokemon sat up in the tall grass. She was confused. How had she gotten there? She sat still for a moment, trying to remember something, anything. The only thing that popped into her head was a name - Jasmine. And somehow, she knew it was her own.

Jasmine stood up on shaky feet - or would they be considered hooves now? - The ground beneath her was soft, covered in vivid green grass, and not far away, she could hear the sound of water lapping at some sort of shoreline. Trees swayed softly in the warm breeze above her head, and she could hear the sound of Pidgeys communicating with one another through the treetops. But wait... She could understand them. What were they talking about? - The weather?

"Helloo?" Jasmine called upward, hoping that someone could please explain to her just what the heck was going on. "Um, can someone tell me where I am?" The Pidgeys paused in their conversation. "Didja hear that, Bill?" one asked the other, "Yeah," the second one answered, "I think it came from that Mareep down there." They stared at her for a second. "Yer in Waterland, ya dimwit," The first one called down to her.

"Oh, alright." Jasmine called back. "Do you think you could point in me in the direction of the closest city?" She asked. The pair simply stared at her. She rolled her eyes at them. "Okay, then. Really, you guys were such great help. Thanks so much." She said sarcastically, and began to wander in a random direction. If no one was going to help her, she'd just find the darn place herself. Not that she was sure it existed, really. But if it did, she was going to get there!

However, it was just then that she heard another voice. But it was a yell - it sounded vaguely familiar. "HELLO?!" it called, "IF SOMETHING IS ACTUALLY ALIVE OUT THERE, GIVE SOME SORT OF A SIGN!" Jasmine wasn't sure what kind of a sign they were asking for, but if there was anyone out there who was in the same boat as her, she certainly wasn't going to turn down a chance for some companionship. She walked toward the sound, straining her ears to try and catch another wisp of the voice, in case it yelled again.

Whoever it was certainly wasn't yelling anymore, but she definitely heard them again. As she neared the clearing where she had heard the sound coming from, Jasmine could clearly make out a few figures - a Cubone, a Gible, and... Was that a horde of Rattata & Raticates? They looked angry, and of course, where were they chasing the Cubone? Straight toward Jasmine.

"What the hell is going on?!" She cried in alarm. Not wanting to be trampled by a pack of insane rodents, Jasmine did the first thing she could think of - she sent a powerful blast of electricity straight towards the group, it's static-y blue light illuminating the shadows of the trees around them.

    - - - - -

(( Kay, hope that's alright for my first post. :3 Um, I just wanted to say, though, perfectmonster - I know it was kinda hard, since it was the first post & everything, but could you maybe try not to bunny my character if you can help it? It's just that, the scream thing at the end of your post was kind of OOC for Jasmine, so yeah. Other than that, I didn't really mind, though. Like I said, I know it was the first post and all. ))

  • (I hope you don't mind me posting again)

Devi's golden eyes looked about around the area and that was when she had heard the voice.

"HEY! Don't just stand there! Run for it!" Devi turned and that's when she saw him – a Cubone running toward her and behind him seemed to be a clan of Raticate and Rattata.

"Crap, crap, CRAP," Devi shouted as the Cubone ran for her.

    "Move!" he told her.

But she didn't… then the Cubone collided with her.

"Ow," the Cubone spoke but Devi pulled herself up without a complaint and looked over at the growling clan of Raticate and Rattata.

She felt something grow in her chest – a strength, power. And she felt she was responsible for this Cubone, but why?

"Back up, now!" Devi shouted toward the Raticate and Rattata.

The Raticate boss stepped forward, let loose a shout, and then ran towards Devi.

"Suit yourself," Devi whispered as she bent down into a fighting stance. Devi didn't understand how this new body of hers could do all this. It felt like she had done this for a long time.

She felt that same feeling in her gut rise like a boiling fire. But then she brought her hands forward and a green veil pulled from her hands up around her and even the Cubone. The Raticate collected with the protective shield and bounced back.

Devi then allowed the protective shield to slip away. She brought her head up and took a deep breath. The fire in her gut rose to her mouth and she noticed green sparks coming from her mouth. Then she bent towards the Raticate and blew, allowing a large green flame to escape. A Dragonbreath.

The Dragonbreath attack connected with the Raticate and blew it back. The Raticate landed behind its clan and got to its feet with a hiss.

"You up for more?" Devi shouted as she got back down into the fighting stance.

The Raticate advanced towards her and Devi allowed the fire to build up in her chest again. And then when the Raticate ran for her, Devi threw up the protective shield again to cover her and the Cubone.

"I told you to leave!" Devi roared jumping forward through the protective shield that now only protected the Cubone. Her claws lengthened and a green aura began to appear. When she swept them forward, she slashed them across the Raticate's face. The Raticate flew backgrounds and Devi stood there in her battle stance, ready for anything they would do again.

The Raticate struggled back to its feet, hissed at Devi, but quickly turned around and ran towards its clan. The clan turned around and the ground disappeared back in the direction they came from.

Devi huffed and puffed as she turned to the Cubone. "You alright?" she asked him.

But that's when she noticed a Mareep behind them both… and what she didn't realize earlier was that she had helped them with a powerful attack.

  • Issac was certainly lucky to have ran into that gible. With the horde of rattata and their leader retreating, He could finally get a breath of fresh air. "You Alright?" The gible asked him. Issac was really tired and still had bite marks on his left arm...

"Er... Yeah.. I'm fine don't worry about it." He said rather selfishly while trying to cover most of the bite marks with his left arm. He couldn't hide it though, Anything with a brain could tell he was hurt. He felt sort of embarresed that one rattata could tire him out, while A lone gible could send a whole horde running..then again, that mareep also did fire a jolt of electricity at them so maybe it wasn't completely one sided.

Issac sat down, Releaxed, And began to converse with her. "I guess you heard me yelling back there. Names Issac." He said to her. "You uh.... Wouldn't happen to know where this place is would you? All I remember is waking up near the edge of the lake and that rattata..." Then he turned to the mareep that also assisted gible. "Hey! Are you a local at all? Maybe you can tell me whats happening?" He yelled out, still holding onto his damaged left arm.

  • Darkness…

Nothing else existed. Nothing else mattered.

    Darkness…

    Raydin.

Nothing but a name, no, a shadow.

    Nothing but a shadow…

But still, a shadow in the darkness was better than just Darkness.

For that was all that did and could exist.

Nothing else could ever be important. Nothing else could ever attempt to be. For something so simple, it was so complicated.

    Light.

Light strayed across the darkness, grazing the shadow. The shadow recoiled, unable to stand up to such a creation.

In the light, a young Larvitar stands up for the...the...first time? He could not remember anything other than… than…no, he didn't even remember his name.

    Raydin.

And there it was. The shadow. The one thing that had stood out in the Darkness. His name was Raydin.

Raydin Fell down on his rear end and began to ponder. "Seriously, what is going on?" He recoiled, as if in shock. That didn't sound like his voice, did it? For that matter, who was he? Raydin covered his eyes with his claws and thought hard…and...Nothing. Raydin had no memories, no family, and no idea who he was. All he had was the sand around him and the stream to his right. Raydin felt a sudden dryness in his throat and stepped over to the stream.

When Raydin stood over the canal he gasped. He hadn't recognized his form reflected in the water.

"Okay…so I'm a larvitar. That's nice." He said this nervously, almost as if he was on the verge of panic.

Raydin slowly lowered his head to the water and, upon drinking it he thrashed violently. As the water slid down his throat he felt a feeling similar to a burn, only it was the opposite. The water was soothing, but it wasn't natural. His body wanted the opposite. Raydin turned around, and nervously lowered his head to the sand. He took a mouthful and swallowed experimentally. It…it worked! Raydin grinned and held his head to the ground, 'drinking the sand.' Raydin stood up and looked around, taking in all of his surroundings.

    "Trees, sand, grass water- Argh!"

Something tackled Raydin from behind, sending him splashing into the water. Raydin winced and his scales closed tightly. He turned to face the one that had hit him.

There was a zigzagoon rolling on its back and laughing. Raydin gritted his teeth and jumped out of the water, standing before the zigzagoon. The zigzagoon stopped laughing immediately, and ran as fast as it could in a zig-zag pattern. Raydin gulped up some sand, and ran towards the zigzagoon. Raydin felt something change in his mouth. He felt saliva secrete from glands in his mouth, and he began wrapping his tongue around the sand, forming it into a ball. He felt it solidify and he spat it into his hand, looking at it curiously.

"A rock?!" He stared at it incredulously. A grin appeared on his face.

"Take this!" Raydin yelled as he lobbed the rock at the zigzagoon. It yelped, and ran away. Raydin nodded and turned around, walking slowly. A loud snarl came from behind him. Raydin turned and saw two linoone, obviously the parents of the zigzagoon. Raydin smiled slightly, turned around, and bolted.

"HELP! HELP! HELP!" Raydin shouted as he continued running. He curved around a tree and ran smack into a vulpix.

"Oww….sorry…Mind helping me with this?" Raydin asked her, staring down with a look of slight pity and slight annoyance. He really hoped she could hold her own.

(OOC: sorry for lack of quality. I was in a bit of a rush while doing this...)

  • PMD: The End. (PG-13)

Elsa squinted into the distance, down toward where she thought she saw movement. Her eyes weren't strong enough to make out the details, but her ears picked up sounds. It appeared to be a pokemon... something... fluffy? She jumped when the tiny form in the distance suddenly lit up, releasing a shock into the area before it. So it was an electric type?

In any case, it was someone else... someone who might know where Elsa was. She started towards the distant pokemon, then stopped. Was its earlier discharge an attack? Was there danger? Before she could consider it further, a more pressing issue arose-- namely, her sudden collision with another body. She toppled to the ground, then struggled to process the speech that immediately followed.

    "Oww….sorry…Mind helping me with this?"

Leaping up, Elsa turned to observe her assaulter, confused and frightened. It took a moment for her to sort through her thoughts, but the correct identification soon arose: Larvitar. Male, from the voice. After this was clear, her brain got to understanding what he said... help? He needs help?

Before she had time to ask, her question was answered: two Linoones quickly followed the Larvitar, and they didn't look much like talking. She let out a yip-- her first sound since waking up along this lake-- and froze. Her instinct was to flee, but she felt obligated to help this first interaction in a lonely world. She turned to him, scared and still thoroughly confused.

    "Wh-wh-what do we do!?"

((Pushing the limits of my own rule, haha. I don't think it's terribly long though. Everyone's posted at least once now!))

  • Spina walked along the shore of the lake, stepping over roots and dodging trees. It was pretty humid and he was starting to get annoyed. This was not fun. He kept on trudging along, however, in search of intellegent people. His stomach rumbled and he realised he was hungry. Looking up, he saw some apples hanging from the tree above him. 'Maybe I can get them down.' Spina thought to himself. He felt his fist tingling and, in wonder, held it up. It was glowing orange. He raised it back and punched the tree as hard as he could. With a creak, the whole thing toppled over.

An apple bounced off the ground and Spina caught it and began to eat it. It tasted delicious. "Raiiiin!" a Pokemon cried out from above him, but Spina heard it as, "What the hell have you done to my tree?" Taken aback, Spina looked up. Flapping it's wings, but stationary above him was a Masquerain. And it looked very angry.

"Sorry, I was just trying to get this!" he cried, holding up the apple core. He was surprised at how deep his voice was.

"You fool!" the Masquerain cried. "Now how am I supposed to hide from those infected creeps?" It swooped down and started circling Spina's head very fast, slashing at his face. "Get out of here! SHOO!" Spina yelled as he was driven back and fell into the river. The Masquerain gave an angry "Humph!" and went back to find a new tree. Spina floated for a moment until he heard a group of Pokemon talking on the opposite side. There were five of them...and they looked like they were in trouble! Spina began to swim towards them to offer his help.

(Sorry if this is too long, in the rules it said a max of 4 big paragraphs. Is this ok?)

  • "Er... Yeah.. I'm fine don't worry about it." The Cubone had told her. But her golden eyes watched as he moved his arm to cover the bite mark along his arm.

She lifted a hand outwards and the Cubone stepped back. Devi just shrugged it off and watched the Cubone sit down on the ground. "I guess you heard me yelling back there. Names Issac."

Devi nodded. "Name's Devi," she spoke.

"You uh.... Wouldn't happen to know where this place is would you? All I remember is waking up near the edge of the lake and that Rattata..." the Cubone continued.

Devi shook her head with a frown along her face. "Sorry, no. I'm as confused as you are." She spoke. She watched his face contort, not in pain, but with something else…

"Hey, maybe we should look around," she looked at the Mareep too. "With our abilities, my dragon abilities," pointing to the Cubone, "your ground abilities," and then to the Mareep, "and your thunder abilities, I think we could do perfectly fine as a team…" But her eyes gazed at the river where a brown Pokemon seemed to be swimming towards them.

"Wha?" she spoke and turned to it and got down into her fighting stance. "What do you want?" she shouted out.

  • Issac got back up on his feet with his hand on his arm and looked out to what was swimming in the lake. "...It looks like... a Kangaskhan. Last thing we need is a hostile one. Something that big would destroy us." He said with a scared look. "...More importantly... Why's she in the water...? Don't kangaskhan's Usually have kids on them? Real good mother... somethings wrong here..." Issac had no way in telling that the Kangaskhan was really a male...They were usually always female.

"If that thing gets close lets hide and jump it. I got a bad feeling about this..." Issac Immediately jumped into a nearby Bush and prepared to jump the long Kangaskhan as soon as it surfaced.

  • Spina reached the other side of the lake and shook himself dry, slightly amused at how his tail wagged. Then he looked around and prepared to help those Pokemon. What he found was a Gible and a Mareep staring at him, ready to attack and what seemed to be another Pokemon in the bushes. They looked ready to fight him.

"Woah, woah, woah!" he said, holding his hands up as a guesture of peace. "I'm not here to hurt you, I saw you guys from the other side of the lake and it looked like you needed some help." He straightened up and took a few catious steps forward. "My name is...well, I don't really know, but I named myself Spina. I can't remember anything from after I woke up earlier. Do you know where I am?"
