2nd Gen Gold/Silver/Crystal Monotype Challenge

I havent seen a active thread of one of these so i decided to make one

Rules:
1. Your run will be finished when you collect your 16th badge
2. Starter may only be used if it falls underneath your type
3. multiple people may do the same type at once
4. 5 HM slaves allowed
5. Secondary types are allowed
6. please update actively
7. This is NOT a race
8. Please Do not trade unless for evolution reasons
9. No legendaries! (it takes the fun out of the game)

i don't know what my end team will be, but it'll definitely include a donphan and a quagsire :D

ok first update:
Picked CyndaQuil as my starter
caught pidgey lvl 2
deposited cyndaquil
caught zubat lvl 2 arrived in violet city

second update:
beat falkner easily
continued on to union cave
caught hopip lvl 6
evolved pidgey into pidgeotto

Hehe, I've already started a bug monotype a few days ago, but I'll join in. I've just reached Olivine, beaten the lighthouse, and now I'm going to go pick up a Heracross before heading across to Cianwood.

I CAUGHT A HERACROSS!

Finally! After hours and hours of constant headbutting, I finally got one! Thanks must go to Scyther's False Swipe and Parasect's Spore for making it an easy catch too.

Meanwhile, swept through Chuck's gym with Venomoth, but got absolutely hammered by Jasmine. Damn Steel types, all my offensive moves are either Normal, Bug, Poison, Psychic, Flying or Rock, ALL of which are resisted by Steel! ARGH!

sorry only one type at a time, but there are as many challengers to one type as long as someone wants to do it

Beat bugsy without breaking a sweat

Haha, that's fine :) Entei really isn't my favorite anyway. So I'll go with Typhlosion, Houndoom, Arcanine (or Growlithe) for now.
