Intro
There are two worlds, the human world and the Pokemon world. In the human world you will not see any Pokemon but they do exist their, human being has a Pokemon spirit partner that is always with them. In the human world this Pokemon exists purely in the mind of the person, most people don't even know they exist. In the Pokemon world things are very different, Pokemon walk the earth alongside humans. Most of the Pokemon in the Pokemon world are not paired with a human, a very small number have a human partner. Of these few Pokemon that have a human partner even fewer have met their spirit partner. In both worlds the connection between human and Pokemon is almost completely unknown.
While humans are unable to use Pokemon attacks, the bond they share allows the human to inherit some of their powers. So a person with a fire Pokemon spirit would be able to control fire but not use moves like flamethrower, as a person with a fighting type spirit would have a natural talent in martial arts. These abilities are strongest in the human world where the Pokemon is a part of the human mind, in the Pokemon world your powers will get weaker the further away your spirit partner gets. One final thing that I should say is that when a Pokemon and human are bonded together the bond cannot be broken, so if one of the pair dies so does the other.
Storyline
The story is in two places.
One location is a large city named Danum. It is located in the human world and looks like any other city in the world. However within the city strange things have been going on, children have been disappearing at a slow but rapidly increasing rate, things that cannot be explained have been happening all over the city, localised earthquakes have hit parts of the city, fires have broken out with seemingly no source. Most people ignore these incidents but not everyone, some people attempt to join the dots. Most of these people are missing the one link, Pokemon. The truth is that some people have discovered their inner Pokemon in one way or another and they are now able to use their powers. These people are using their powers for their own personal gain and cannot be stopped by anyone who has no powers of their own.
The other location is an island in the Pokemon world. The island has five small towns spread round it and has a wide range of habitats which are home to a diverse variety of Pokemon. On this island you can make your self a new identity and become a Pokemon trainer if you wish.
Your role
You are a teenager or young adult living in the city and for some reason you become involved in the world of Pokemon hidden beneath the surface of normality. You could know someone who has gone missing or you could stumble across your powers by accident, for whatever reason it is you eventually find your inner Pokemon and that is where the story begins. You must decide what you are going to do with your new found powers, do you use them to help solve these strange occurrences. Do you help people or do you use them for you own gain. Do you live in the human world or move to the Pokemon world.
There will be a storyline that will develop however for a start I am going to leave the RP quite open for people to do what they want.
Game rules
These game rules are designed to help the RP run smoothly please abide by them, if you have any problems regarding any of the rules please let me know.
1. In the human world only you can hear your inner Pokemon.
2. In the Pokemon world all Pokemon speak Poke speak, this includes your inner Pokemon however the close link between you and your inner Pokemon means you can understand what your spirit partner is saying.
3. In the Pokemon world your inner Pokemon cannot speak in your mind as it does in the human world.
4. Pokemon are allowed as many moves as you wish. However to start with your inner Pokemon may know up to four moves, selected from its level up moveset. Egg moves, tutor moves and TM moves must all be learnt inside the Pokemon world where they can be taught by either a tutor of some kind or a TM.
5. In order to leave the Pokemon world you and your Pokemon spirit must walk through a gate way together, if either you or you Pokemon tries it alone then they will simply walk right thought the gateway as though there it is not there.
6. Your players powers are based on their inner Pokemon, any powers you do learn must be based on it level up moveset. Let's say you have a Charmander you could control fire. However you could not poison people even if your Charmander learnt toxic.
7. Your inner Pokemon may evolve, when it does your personality may change slightly.
RP rules
1. No actual swearing, blanking out all but the first and last letter is allowed but swearing should be kept to a minimum.
2. No bunnying with out permission and no god-moding. There will be quiet a few important NPCs in this RP unless I reveal something about them then don't make up anything new about them.
3. Please try to post at least once a week and if you know you are going to be away for a long period of time please let me know.
