  • I've left you guys without warning so many times that you all probably don't trust me now... oh well. I'll start this anyway. I've been planning this roleplay game through the entire time my computer was glitching up and I am not going to let this die. Now without further ado, I present to you a roleplay.

Where No Trainer Has Gone Before
    Pg 13

It was early spring in the year 2092, and you, a pokemon trainer, were minding your own business when an email arrived. Written in the ancient 'letter' formant, it seemed odd and you became convinced that this email was not mere junk. Curious, you began to read.
    Dear Trainer,

This is an official invitation for you to enter a competition we like to call the Lunar League. The Lunar League will be a tournament and hundreds of trainers will enter, but the brackets will only go as far as to have ten winners. Those ten winners will receive an all-expenses-paid vacation, or at least of a sort. If you win, you will be sent to live in a newly established lunar colony- that's right, on the moon! With today's technology, you will be able to get there by spaceship in a matter of weeks, and you will be provided with a spacesuit for journeying outside your bio-domes. Food and oxygen will, of course, be provided for such trips. More information on the Lunar Colonies will be sent out to the ten winners of the Lunar League. If you are interested, send in an application form containing your name, age, and pokemon. Like with every other battle you have taken place in, only six pokemon will be allowed. You must be between the ages of fifteen and thirty to participate. Please sign up today!

After reading you decided for whatever reason to take on the challenge. The tournament took place over the course of a week, and when it was done, you were one of the trainers that had ended up winning the trip to the moon. Upon arriving home again, another email arrived from the same sender, also in letter format, and you anxiously read that one too.

    Dear Trainer,

As you already know, you are one of the ten winners who will be going to the moon. Be at the space center in Saffron City four days from now, packed and ready for your Lunar voyage. It is suggested that you bring plenty of clothing, for you will be living there for a few years at least. But don't worry, there is a laundromat in the colony pf course. In addition to your clothing, you may bring any personal items on, though pokegears, pokenavs, etc. will not work on the moon. Also, you will not be able to switch any of the pokemon on your team out with the ones you have in your PC here on Earth. The facilities of the colony and the items you will be provided with are listed here:

    Equipment:
-Spacesuit (one for you and custom ones for each of your pokemon)
    -Refillable Oxygen Tanks
    -Lunardex*
    -Lunarballs*

Colony (all colony buildings are domes made of concrete or heavy-duty glass; all of them are linked with long hallways. Exits from the colony can be found in most halls):
-Four gyms in the colony's four corners, descriptions attached to the bottom.
-Your own bio hut with a private bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen
-Many restaurants with food grown in greenhouse domes
-Greenhouse domes (you may visit these to see the plants; they are the only ones on the moon)
-Pokemon Research Center, headed by professor Selena
-An observatory where you can get better stargazing views than anywhere on earth.
-There is one medical center where you can be treated if you are hurt or sick
-You will, of course, be able to visit with other colonists including your fellow trainers

Now, we are sure you are wondering about the Lunardex and Lunarballs which are starred above. They are the real reason you will be going to the moon. There have been countless reports of colonists seeing pokemon out their windows; wild pokemon, without spacesuits. While some of the sightings have been of existing pokemon, some people claim that they have seen new species. We expect you to try and find these pokemon, record information about them on the Lunardex, and to capture a few with specially made Lunarballs. No one yet has ventured to the side of the moon opposite Earth, the dark side, and we will send you and the other trainers out into that terrain to investigate. Also, there have been rumors that legendary pokemon connected to the moon and space (ie palkia, cresselia, etc.) spend much of their time on the moon. We hope that you will look into this as well. Oh, and one more piece of advice: don't bring an eevee to the moon unless you plan on evolving it into umbreon. Despite our best efforts, no eevee will last more than ten minutes on the moon without spontaneously evolving into umbreon. Good luck.

    Gym Information:

Earthrise Gym- The gym with its back to the place where earth rises each day. The leader of this gym is a man named Patrick, and he trains grass types.

Sunrise Gym- The gym with its back to the place where the sun rises each day. The leader of this gym is a woman named Heather, and she trains fire types.

Crater Gym- The gym found in the base of a crater. The leader of this gym is a man named Tiberius, and he trains rock types.

Darkside Gym- The gym found on the edge of the colony closest to the boundary that marks the half of the moon known as the dark side. The leader of this gym is a woman named Lilu, and she trains dark types.

And that was that. You had far from expected this trip to be a mysterious investigation of lunar pokemon, and the whole thing seemed so unreal and abstract. But it was very real. Quickly you began to pack everything you wanted to bring, and you may have attended a few goodbye parties as well. Then, it was off to the space station, and from there, to the moon!

This roleplay will begin at the space station, right as the ten trainers are boarding the spaceship.

    Rules:
    1) You may be on the moon, but don't space out (stay active).
    2) Don't push others into craters (no flaming).
    3) Sadly, mind control devices haven't been invented yet (no bunnying)
    4) Nobody's perfect (no mary-sues).
    5) Enjoy your stay (have fun)!

  • Name - Ethan Sarvais

    Age - 25

    Gender - Male

Appearance - Ethan's dark chocolate brown hair does as it wishes. It has been cut so that it is long enough to have a mind of its own, but not quite long enough to go past his ears. When the sun hits it at just the right angle, it appears to be black. His eyes are a light grey color and far wiser than they once were, though they still retain a certain level of the arrogant haughtiness that prevailed in his youth. They contrast with his tanned skin, from working outside for hours a day with his Pokemon. As a result of the same, he is well muscled and acclimated to extensive physical activity. Ethan's favorite shirt is still a dark grey one with an smokey abstract Gyarados design, as it has been since he was young, though it is a different one since then, naturally. He stands at six feet even, but isn't very intimidating; his expression is soft and gentle, and his temper is slow to ignite.

His wardrobe generally consists of black or white tanks, fairly baggy shirts of various colors, jeans for casual occasions, and cargo pants when he plans to go training. Ethan's shoes contrast heavily from one purpose to another. He has reasonably clean black tennis shoes for the every day, and plain black boots when he trains. They're thick soled, scuffed, and highly funtional.

When the roleplay begins, Ethan will be wearing the aforementioned Gyarados shirt over a black undershirt, dark khaki cargo pants, the boots, and a short sleeved khaki vest-style jacket with several pockets. There are six on the front, each embroidered with a name in a certain color. The first says Verde in a soft green; the second, Flare in flame red; the third, Maverick in a light blue; the fourth, Kodona in silver; the fifth, Oliver in a creamy color; and the sixth, Calix in lilac purple. On his head he will be wearing a black bandana in the sweatband fashion, with the Sarvais family crest embroidered in gold thread.

Personality - Though he tries not to be, Ethan has a tendency to be proud, arrogant, and over confident. In his youth these qualities prevailed over all others to the extreme. Since then he has matured considerably, but there's still a hint of the old haughtiness every now and then, particularly in battle. He has learned a respect for his Pokemon and he never asks more of them than they are capable of delivering. This does not mean he does not push them; he just doesn't expect them to exhaust themselves. His best mate in the entire world is Verde, his Butterfree. He takes pride in their bond, as well as her training, seeing as he has been the one presiding over her training for the last decade.

Somewhat stoic, Ethan isn't the type to gush emotions out into the open where anyone can see them. On the other hand when he cares for someone he always assures that they know it. He is very hardworking and will push his body to the physical limit, though he is expert at figuring out when his Pokemon need rest. His aspirations are to bring the Sarvais family name to the highest glory he can. When he was young his father told him to make the family look good, and he intends to make that happen. As much as his father has expressed disappointment in him throughout his lifetime, Ethan always strives to make him proud.

History - Ethan grew up with his mother and father in Canalave City, where his father owned several ships. Seeing as Canalave is a hub of trade they made a fair deal of money, ascertaining that they never wanted for anything. Being an only child Ethan was spoiled beyond what he ought to have been and given anything he asked for, whether it was essential to his happiness and wellbeing. The family owned a pet Glameow - or more accurately, Ethan's mother coveted a very fat and aggressive Glameow that she insisted was a family pet. Though he never liked it, when he was young Ethan would take it out into the front yard and train it to attack trees and such. That didn't go so well, as it was too fat to move quickly, but it sparked his interest in eventually building a Pokemon team.

When he was ten Ethan's father's business went under, quite literally; a massive population increase of Wailmer caused the sea to become saturated with the spherical fish Pokemon. One by one they sank the Sarvais' ships, along with their evolution, Wailord. With nothing left for them in Canalave they moved to Sandgem. Ethan neither liked nor disliked the move; he never really got along with kids in Canalave. In Sandgem it was much easier to manipulate the more sheltered children into thinking he was a cool rich kid and they should like him because of that. He matured slightly as he grew older, but not by much. He at least learned to be kinder to his peers, to manipulate people less, and to appreciate what he had slightly more. No matter the change, however, he was still a spoiled rich brat at heart. So when the distribution of Pokemon was announced he had to be one of the first to sign up. With his spot securely taken, all he had to do was wait to be introduced to the partner that would be with him, so he hoped, for the rest of his life. The partner was not at all what he had accepted; when he went to Professor Birch's lab he was given a Caterpie. Angered by what he considered to be an unfair twist of fate, he got halfway between Sandgem and Jubilife when he tried to abandon the Caterpie. Despite his best efforts, however, guilt overcame him and he turned back before he got to Jubilife. Then he resolved never to be so callous again and to accept what was given to him. It was an important lesson that would stay with him.

When he reached Jubilife Ethan traded a Rattata he'd captured for Flare, the Vulpix. On his way to the next city he captured Maverick, who happened to be a Magikarp at the time. After his evolution he, along with his two teammates, became Ethan's most highly used Pokemon. This rings true to this day.

Ethan defeated the Sinnoh league and the Elite Four when he was seventeen, two years after he started. After that he returned home to his parents for a while to prove that he had brought glory to the family name. For the first time in his life his father told him he was proud of him, while his mother cooed over Verde, his old Caterpie evolved into Butterfree, and Flare. The next step, he decided, was to move to Hoenn and take that challenge as well. He would not rest until he had at least two Elite Four victories under his belt.

In Hoenn he acquired Oliver the Persian - a Meowth at the time - and Calix the Espeon, in that order. Oliver, he caught. Calix, he he traded for a Noctowl he'd caught in Sinnoh. The Noctowl, named Yoruna, had never been one of his favorite Pokemon. He used her for her strength, but seeing as she'd tried and almost succeeded in eating Verde when he caught her, he'd always disliked her. Calix was a much better addition to his team, primarily because he didn't try to eat anyone.

In the Hoenn league, Ethan was just as successful as he'd been in the Sinnoh league. He adored Hoenn, so when he was finished he settled down in Lavaridge. Training in this area helped his team to build a resistance to Fire and Rock types. This was where he was living when he received the invitation to the Lunar league. Intrigued by the possibilities, he entered without a moment's hesitation. His speed paid off; he was selected to go. This was an opportunity for him to take his training to the next level, and for him to bring even more fame to the Sarvais name.

    Pokemon -
    -Verde
    -Butterfree
    -Female
-Verde was Ethan's first Pokemon. Received from Birch as a Caterpie, he wasn't a big fan of her at first. In fact, he tried to abandon her. But he came back for her, and since then their bond has grown. Ethan usually lets her stay out of her ball and if she can't perch on his shoulder, she grasps his back and folds her wings, making it look almost as though he has wings. She's wildly territorial and doesn't like other females of any species around him, besides the Pokemon on her team. Other than that she's docile and will only attack when ordered to.
-Verde looks exactly like any other female Butterfree, with dark spots on her lower wings, save for eight lighter purple markings on her right side. On closer inspection it is apparent that they are scars in the shape of talons. This is due to when Ethan's Noctowl from the Sinnoh league tried to carry her off and eat her.

    -Flare
    -Vulpix
    -Female
-Ethan caught a Rattata between Sandgem and Jubilife when he was fifteen. He traded that Rattata in Jubilife for Flare and has never regretted it. She didn't like him much when he first got her, but over time she's grown affectionate toward him. Flare evolved during Ethan's gym battle with Flannery, surprising him. As it turns out there was a fire stone laying on the ground and she accidentally stepped on it. Neither of them regret it, since it has caused a huge boost in her power.
-There is no real unique quality to Flare's appearance. If anything, her forelock is a bit longer. Around her neck she wears a brown leather collar with a little gold tag with her name on it.

    -Maverick
    -Gyarados
    -Male
-Ethan caught Maverick as a Magikarp in a pond just outside Jubilife. He was a total accident; Ethan initially threw the ball at an Abra, that teleported out of the way just in time. When it evolved it became his powerhouse. For every tough battle he sends Maverick in first, because he knows that he is quite capable of winning through sheer strength. Maverick is like nitroglycerin. He is completely gentle, unless someone touches him. This is only unauthorized touching, mind. Ethan and his teammates are fine, but if other trainers touch him he will attack first and ask later.
-Maverick is about the same as any other Gyarados as far as appearance goes, but his scales are a slightly lighter blue than those of other Gyarados.

    -Kodona
    -Lairon
    -Female
-Kodona was Ethan's fourth Pokemon. Captured as an Aron, she has been an integral part of his battling team since. Often he will pair her with Maverick as a double battle team. Maverick will use Hydro Pump, Thrash, and other such vicious attacks, and Kodona will use Earthquake. Maverick is immune to it, so it is a devastating attack that doesn't affect her team mate. Due to all of their battles together Kodona and Maverick have developed a strong bond. It's difficult to have the two of them out at the same time, but whenever he can Ethan allows them to have time together.
-Kodona is meticulous about the cleanliness of her armor. She keeps it clean and shining at all times and prides herself on how strong it is.

    -Oliver
    -Persian
    -Male
-Oliver was digging out of the trash outside Ethan's house when he found him. On a whim he sent Verde to incapacitate him so that he could capture him. The attempt was successful. Seeing as Ethan has not challenged a league since he captured Oliver, he has not seen much action. He has, however, seen just enough to have evolved into a Persian. Oliver's evolution didn't change his inherently sweet and gentle nature, nor his adoration of Pecha berries.
-Oliver's ears are floppy, almost like a dog or newborn kitten. One would think this would inhibit his hearing but it in fact does not. His tail is more curled than is normal as well, suggesting that he's very healthy and well cared for, but inexperienced.

    -Calix
    -Espeon
    -Male
-A traveler passing through Lavaridge posted a sign at the Center advertising that he had an Espeon for trade. The traveler noted that he wanted a good strong Flying type. That meant Yoruna. Ethan went to the Center rooms and offered the Noctowl for trade. It was accepted immediately, which meant that Ethan had a new addition to his team. Calix turned out to be perfect. He and Verde worked well together, and are a perfect double battle team. Calix is quiet; in fact, Ethan had never heard him make a single sound, besides purrs. He is of the belief that he is mute. But Calix expresses everything he needs to with his large purple eyes.
-Calix is slick, thin, and lithe. His size allows him to move quickly, and he's incredibly graceful. His mannerisms are remniscent of a dancer, even.

    Roleplay Sample -
While the crowd roared applause, Ethan Sarvais stepped out onto the field. He went as far as the white line showing where the trainer was meant to stand and waved his hand in acknowledgement of their praise. Despite the audience's voracity Ethan knew where his focus should be. That point was across the stadium from him, standing behind the opposite white line. She was pretty, there was no doubt about that. She looked as though she may have just turned eighteen, if that; a short, cute brunette with a nice figure. But that wasn't important right now. What was important was her Pokemon team, and how she directed them.

"Alright folks, this is going to be a three on three battle, no switches. Both trainers currently have six Pokemon on their person, but they must choose only three. Let the battle commence! Trainers, release your first Pokemon."

Ethan's heart thudded and adrenaline coursed through his veins as he threw a dark purple ball onto the field. It opened and released his key Pokemon, his Verde, onto the field before returning to his hand. His opponent threw her ball as well, releasing an Alakazam. Ethan laughed under his breath; this would be easy. He had an obvious type advantage here.

The other trainer would be allowed to go first, since he released his Pokemon first.

"Kazza, use Psych Up!" she instructed it. It obeyed, its whiskers and spoons glowing. That was fine; Ethan wouldn't give it time to buff too far.

"We'll wrap this one up quickly, Verde," he called. "Silver Wind."

Verde flapped her wings prettily, stirring up a dusting of sparkling silver particles that flew in a wind toward Alakazam. The gale struck it full on, knocking it back a few inches. Despite the attack's high effectiveness Alakazam was able to push on. This Pokemon was obviously a force to be reckoned with, especially since it could easily compete with Verde as far as speed went.

"Good job, Kazza," its trainer praised. "Now, use Hypnosis."

Alakazam focused its gaze intently on Verde, willing her to fall asleep. The power was so strong Ethan even began to feel his eyes droop shut. But Verde turned her back, facing her master with a questioning expression, as though asking what she ought to do next. Ethan couldn't help but smile; that had taken effort to avoid. "Let's pull out all the stops. Sunny Day, then follow up with a Giga Drain."

Verde immediately flew into actions. She spread her wings wide, encouraging a sudden burst of sunlight - never mind the fact that they were indoors. The sudden heat was a shock to anyone who hadn't been expecting it, but Ethan's time in Lavaridge had him acclimated to such temperatures. Verde then divebombed Alakazam, grabbed its head, and sank her small fangs into its forehead. It shrieked and shook its head violently in an effort to get her off, but its efforts were not successful until she decided she'd drained enough energy from it. While the attack's effects had been good for the moment, they could ultimately prove dangerous, however; the trainer would be more adamant to finish, and use more powerful, if self destructive, moves.

Ethan's fears were confirmed when the trainer gave her next order.

"Let's finish this, Kazza! We can beat that bug! Psycho Cut!"

Alakazam let out a roar and charged Verde, his spoon glowing a mind numbing purple color. Verde made an attempt to dodge, but wasn't successful; the Alakazam slashed her across the front with its spoon, leaving a shallow laceration. Ethan gritted his teeth angrily. He absolutely would not put up with physical harm being brought to his Verde.

"Solar Beam!" he called, fuming. With the sunlight still strong, Verde was able to pull it in and let out a beam of brilliant green energy within a matter of seconds. The beam hit Alakazam square in the chest and knocked it onto its back. Ethan and Verde waited to see if it would get back up while its trainer called encouragement. After several moments, it let go of its spoon, letting them know that it was done. Ethan smirked triumphantly, but he couldn't let himself get too cocky. It wasn't over yet.

"An impressive match!" the announcer gushed. "Ethan Sarvais won that one. But never fear, Alyssa Nolan, it's not over yet!"

'No, it's not. We'd better keep up the good show,' Ethan thought.

"Return, Verde," he called out. He wanted to begin the next match with a fresh, and not bleeding, Pokemon. In order to be able to tend to her wound later he recalled her. This time he let the other trainer send her Pokemon out first, so that he could have his choice on what to use. She called a Kangaskhan out to battle, which left Ethan with a number of options. He could always just use Kodona, who would have a type advantage... unless Kangaskhan knew Dizzy Punch, Earthquake, Surf, or any other move of those types. No, he thought he would play this one safe.

"Don't let me down, Oliver," he called as he threw a creamy white ball with a single pinkish gem out onto the field. His Persian formed and took a battle stance, his tail swishing irritatedly. He didn't look all that scary, with his floppy ears and obvious inexperience, but Ethan was hoping this could be a chance to increase his confidence. In the same fashion as before, since the other trainer chose first Ethan was allowed to make the first move.

"Screech," he ordered. Oliver opened his mouth and gave a blood curdling screech, which made the Kangaskhan hold her ears flat against her head in discomfort. Obviously it had worked. The trainer grimaced, knowing that a lowered Defense wouldn't be good against a Persian. They had notoriously high attack, and knew notoriously good moves. "Mega Punch!" she directed, her fingers crossed. Her Kangaskhan ran at Oliver and cocked her arm back, obviously packing a lot of power. But Oliver was ready. At the last second he slipped between her legs, just pausing long enough to bite her tail gently, a taunting gesture.

"Don't be cocky," Ethan scolded. "While you're close, hit her with a Slash."

Oliver swatted at her with both of his front paws and caught her soft underbelly, leaving several deep rakes in her scales. Kangaskhan squealed and stampeded away, limping slightly to avoid irritating the scratches.

"Don't give up, Kanga," her trainer urged. "Focus Punch!"

Neither Ethan nor Oliver were ready for the sudden burst of physical strength that slammed into Oliver's side. All the air was knocked out of his lungs and he flew a foot in the air before coming to rest on the ground, panting slightly. Ethan knew when to call it over; even if Oliver could get up again that hit had been enough for the day.

"Good job, Oliver," he said soothingly. "Come on back."

He called Oliver back into his ball, signalling his defeat.

"That one didn't last long," the announcer commented. "Now we've seen an impressive victory on both sides. This last match determines the whole thing."

There was a mutual understanding between Ethan and his opponent that all bets were off on the last match, and they should release their Pokemon at the same time so as to avoid any assured type advantages. Ethan already knew who he would use; he'd known without a doubt that she would come into this battle. He withdrew the creamy white ball with red flame markings from his vest pocket and threw it, releasing his Ninetales onto the field. At the same time as Ethan called Flare out his opponent let a Grovyle onto the field. Ethan smirked. This would be easy. Grovyle didn't have anything that could best his fiery little fox.

His opponent blanched, knowing what was coming. She might as well surrender now, for all the good her efforts would do. But that would be bad form.

"Slam," the trainer called desperately. Her Grovyle slammed its body into Flare, but the effect was minimal; obviously, it was as unexperienced as Oliver. This would be infinitely simple, then. Flare was almost as seasoned as Verde, and had been there throughout his wins in both leagues. She was ready for this.

    "Confuse Ray."

Flare's eyes glowed as she stared at Grovyle. Slowly its expression became one of puzzlement. Its trainer chewed her lip nervously, and Ethan could practically see the wheels working behind her eyes. "Leaf Storm," she finally said helplessly. Grovyle lunged at Flare then halted and punched itself in the nose. That was Ethan's cue.

"Fire Blast," he ordered. Flare braced herself, then spat a jet of white hot flame at Grovyle. The attack was a perfect hit and by the time the smoke cleared Grovyle was lying on its back, its leaves smouldering.

"Explosive!" the announcer exclaimed. "That's the game. Ethan Sarvais is the victor, two out of three. Let's get some applause for this heated match!"

The crowd obliged gladly and Ethan nodded as he returned Flare. With a wave he walked back out of the stadium, glowing with pride. This wasn't the end of the tournament, but this certainly wasn't a bad start, either.

  • Name- Justin "Critter" Dewitt

    Age- 16

    Gender- Male

Appearance- Justin is a fair-skinned, biracial (black and white) teenager with short, wavy black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5'11" and weighs only about 130 pounds. His clothing consists of conservative clothing including a wide selection of blue jeans, and various designs of t-shirts. At the start of the tournament, Justin is wearing common blue jeans along with a red t-shirt and black long-sleeved shirt under that. One distinctive feature of Justin's entire appearance is his shoes. He normally wears expensive designer basketball shoes and is hardly ever seen wearing the same pair in the same week. Justin sports a black backpack with multiple pockets in which he carries various items whenever he goes onto trips, including a small red notebook for jotting down notes or just for journaling. On his left arm, he wears a metallic, futuristic glove which somehow, using new technology discovered by a group of scientists, including his adoptive dad, stores his six party Pokemon.

Personality- Justin is a very sarcastic person, always making dry jokes and dishonestly complimenting others. This feature causes him to lose many friend, but his loose personality is also what helps him make many friends as well. For recreations, Justin loves to sketch things, try to invent new items, and explore the vast unknowns of the world. He easily becomes bored and tends to try and occupy his time when there is nothing to do, by messing with some random item nearby. Justin loves to roam around and constantly finds mischief to get himself into, but being an exceptionally well liar, finds himself back out of it. There are very few things that bothers him and he easily adjusts to various environments and people.

History- Justin was born in the quiet town of Azeala, Johto and was raised until he was four by his single mother. During his childhood in Azeala, he and his mom didn't have a home to live in and normally slept near the famous Slowpoke well. His mom did have a job at the local Poke'mart however and was barely able to feed herself and him. At the age of four, Justin's mom passed away and he was sent to Goldenrod to live in an orphanage where he was introduced to his first Pokemon at the age of six under a program where all kids that lived in the shelter received a Pokemon companion, funded by Silph Co. Justin received a baby Sneasel in which he nicknamed "Murmur" because he always made faint, whisper-like sounds. Along with Murmur, Justin would always roam around the large streets of Goldenrod and always constantly found sneaking around areas he wasn't supposed to be at, in which he eventually was nicknamed "Critter." At the age of seven, Justin was finally adopted by a fairly old, wealthy couple that lived all the way in Ecruteak City. His new dad was a famous scientist who worked under Silph Co. and his new mom was a profound business women who ran a large branch of stores across Johto. Justin and Murmur lived a rich lifestyle, but at the age of thirteen, he wanted to move on and discover new things. His adoptive parents were supportive of the idea, as it was normal for most kids to go on adventures with their Pokemon. Before leaving on his journeys, Justin received a new device developed by his dad and a team of scientists which was a glove that's able to store six party Pokemon. For three years, Justin and Murmur roamed across Johto, battling several gyms, but mainly explored the depths of caves and forests. During his time venturing, Justin came across several new Pokemon companions. One day, while revisiting his parents in Ecruteak City, he received a message on his Poke'Nav containing information about the "Lunar League." And of course, he and his parents were very excited about it and he immediately registered for it. Justin struggled through all of the Lunar League battles, but through some sort of miracle, he managed to become one of the ten winners, winning the chance to journey to the moon...

    Pokemon- 1. Name: Murmur
    Species: Sneasel
    Gender: Male
Background: Murmur was hatched from an egg from the Goldenrod Daycare and given to Justin as part of a Poke'companion program for orphaned kids by Silph Co. Murmur is Justin's primary Pokemon and has grown to be very powerful from lots of adventures he has been on with his owner.
Other: Murmur is a common looking Sneasel, but what makes him stand out from the rest is the small whispering noise he constantly makes, hence his nickname "Murmur." Apart from the faint noises he makes, Murmur is a very quiet Pokemon. Despite that fact, he has grown to love going on adventures and discovering new things with his owner. He doesn't very often associate with other Pokemon besides the other five that travel with Justin.

    2. Name: Soul
    Species: Dragonair
    Gender: Female
Background: Soul was found by Justin living in the Lake of Rage. What was even more odd about this Pokemon being found in the Lake of Rage, was the fact that it was cared for by a very large Magikarp. Justin easily captured Soul as a Dratini as well as it's guardian Magikarp.
Other: It is believed Soul was a Dratini that managed to escape from a Pokemon transport vehicle coming from Blackthorn City that was part of an illegal Pokemon trade. Soul is a very timid Pokemon, possibly because of something that happened in it's past, but when it warms up to someone it is a very loving and friendly companion.

    3. Name: Spirit
    Species: Gyarados
    Gender: Male
Background: Spirit was the large Magikarp that was protecting Soul found at the Lake of Rage. After Justin managed to capture the Dratini, Spirit, through rage, evolved into a majestic Gyarados, easily standing nearly 30 feet tall. The large Gyarados terrorized Mahogany town and the nearby areas. Justin captured the monster Pokemon using a Master Ball and when reunited with Soul, his spirit calmed down and quickly became fond of Justin for taking care of him and his little companion.
Other: Spirit is a freak of nature; he is abnormally huge. He is normally relaxed but has a very short temper and is quick to become enraged. Spirit has the ability to literally obliterate any competition.

    4. Name: Flow
    Species: Charmeleon
    Gender: Female
Background: Flow was given as a gift to Justin for helping out with a crisis in Newbark Town involving a small gang attacking the Pokemon lab.
Other: Flow is very gentle with other Pokemon and acts sort of like a mother to younger ones. She doesn't like to fight much, but when put into battle, a show of skill is definitely portrayed.

    5. Name: Kite
    Species: Swellow
    Gender: Male
Background: During one of Justin's many ventures across Johto, he came across a large tree which was colonized by Swellow and Taillow. Being a rare Pokemon to find in Johto, Justin immediately captured it and it eventually evolved from a Tailow.
Other: Kite is an ordinary Swellow out of the plentiful found at the large tree colonized by said Pokemon and it's pre-evolutions. He has a feisty attitude and loves a good competition.

    6. Name: Tyrant
    Species: Garchomp
    Gender: Male
Background: Tyrant was a young Gible struggling to survive deep inside the Dark Cave. He lived amongst several others of his species and with a scarce food supply, it was hard to continue to survive and competition for resources, including shelter, was rough. Justin came across the area habited by Gible and it's evolved forms and just so happened to come close enough to Tyrant to be able to battle him and catch him, as others would flee to hiding before he could even come near. Tyrant hated the fact that he was captured by Justin and forced himself to become strong enough to eventually evolve in a small hope of leaving Justin some day.
Other: Tyrant is easily the rarest Pokemon Justin has obtained and is also easily the most stubborn. Justin constantly has a hard time training him and in battle he very often disobeys commands. Even though Tyrant doesn't really listen to Justin, he is probably the strongest Pokemon in Justin's party.

Roleplay Sample- Justin stood frozen, unprepared for the upcoming battle. He had just finished registering himself into the Lunar League and it was already his turn to take on the first challenge. A young lady dressed in a long purple skirt and suit jacket led Justin through a series of doors connected by long hallways with several doors on either side leading to holding areas for upcoming challengers. The final doorway had a small window on it in which a bright light shined through, blinding anyone coming upon it. As Justin and the attendant neared the door, she quietly said good luck and let him be.

"I can do this...It's just like any other battles I've been in...perhaps a bit harder, but nonetheless, it's just a regular battle." Justin spoke encouraging words to himself as he fidgeted from left to right and tapping on the metal glove equipped on his left hand. A loud burst of cheer seemed to penetrate the door ahead and filled the hallways, then it was quiet. The commenter announced the winner of the battle and as he said his last words, a rush of adrenaline flowed through Justin and possibly could have caused him to do a back flip into the arena.

"Introducing our next contender, all the way from Ecruteak City, the son of the famous Professor Dewitt, Justin Dewitt!" Shouted the commenter and a loud burst of applauding encouraged Justin into the arena. "And his challenger will be...Sarah Ivet! She is from the city of Petalburg all the way in Hoenn! Give this lovely trainer a round of applause!" And another burst of applauding followed. Justin slowly walked in with his heart pumping faster and faster. When both trainers made it inside the battle square, the commenter announced the rules of the battle and shouted "Begin!"

"Go! Furret!" Shouted the trainer on the other side of the square. The small rodent like Pokemon popped from the red and white Pokeball and glared fiercely into Justin's eyes and shouted a strong battle cry. "Alright then..." Justin hesitated in calling out his first Pokemon, "Flow!" He pointed his left hand towards the arena and a glow came from the metal glove. The bright orange Charmeleon then appeared from a beam of light and she stared calmly at her opponent.

Before Justin could even think of what to do first, Sarah called for her Furret to use a Quick Attack and it charged right into Justin's Charmeleon, Flow. "Charmeleon!" Flow turned towards Justin awaiting a command. "Alright, umm..." Again, he hesitated and Sarah took advantage of it, ordering her Furret to use another Quick Attack. "Fire Blast!!" Justin shouted at the top of his lungs and pointing a mighty finger towards the little Furret. Everyone stared at him quietly, even Flow, but she immediately snapped back into her battle mentality and let out a powerful blast of fire.

"Aww, the baby finally hatched from the shell of his egg I see." Taunted Sarah and immediately called for her Furret to use a Fury Swipes after it recovered from the previous attack it had withdrew. "Dodge Flow, and hit'em with a Slash attack." Flow fluently moved to the side, dodging the oncoming Furret and swung it's powerful claws right into the Furret, making a huge gash in it's side. "No, my poor baby!" Sarah cried for the nearly fainted Pokemon. Justin felt the urge to scream out Aww, and Furret was so close to winning! But kept it to himself and tried to stay focused on the battle.

The rest of the battle was fairly easy for Justin, Sarah being a novice trainer and not knowing much about the fundamentals of battling. Upon waiting for his next challenge, Justin pondered upon the thought of living on the moon. A cool wind blew from the west and calmed Justin as he stared into the sky, trying to imagine the vast space beyond. "You never know..." And he spaced out in his own imagination.

    Sign-Up Sheet:
Having already sent in your name and age to enter the tournament, the hosts asked you for another, longer form for flying to the moon. Figures.

    Name-
    Yozora Tuski

    Age- 17

    Gender- Male.

Appearance- Yozora is a little strange when it comes to his clothing. He can be found wearing jeans that are patterned to look like the stripes of a Furret, his shirt looks like it should be on the body of a Gallade his hair is dyed black and styled in the form of the dreadlocks a Lucario has, on his forearms are bracers that snap out dulled blades much like the blades of a Scyther hanging from his shoulders is a cape styled like it was the wings of a Flygon and upon his head are the horns of a Houndoom, but what is most peculiar about Yozora is the fact that he has five black tails and black furred fox ears, No theses aren't part of a costume, in fact they move and feel as if they where real.

Personality-Yozora is quiet and shy when it comes to humans. he's never been much for humans, especially since most of his life has bee spent with Pokemon taking care of him since his parents where to busy to deal with their son. However with Pokemon in general, Yozora is a kind happy go lucky guy that trys to make jokes when the mood is too serious, most of the jokes are bad. In battle Yozora is deadly cold and calculating, his Pokemon's well fare still first at the top of the concern list. on a note Yozora considers his Pokemon as his siblings and will not hesitate to step into battle along side them. (Explained in history.)

History- Yozora was born into a family where his parents where too busy with every thing, and not enough care from them was given to him by them, instead their Pokemon where the ones who cared for Yozora. the Pokemon's children became not only Yozora's siblings but his closest and most trusted partners. At the age of nine Yozora and his siblings set off into the big world, to learn and to grow. And learn and Grow they did becoming stronger till they needed barely a word to understand each other the seven evolved learning new unconventional methods of battle in-case conventional battle methods wouldn't get the job done. during their travels Yozora acquired all his clothing and hand made the arm bracers but it was also during these travels that
Yozora acquired his tails and ears. Yozora and his siblings where sparing on a mountain getting stronger as they always where back then, when a cry of panic reached their ears and shaking reached their feet. Looking up they found a rock slide heading right towards them and a young teen. Normally this wouldn't have been a problem as they would have flown away, but leaving an innocent kid in its way was out of the question. So the seven started to plow their way through the falling rocks. They rescued the kid but not with out consequences as Yozora was struck, hurled down the mountain and buried under the rock slide. Yozora should have died, even with how fast his siblings had dug him out, but the kids father was a miracle worker and managed to heal Yozora though a few parts had to be rebuilt. Yozora asked for a few 'upgrades' concerning the parts that had to be rebuilt, possibly because he wanted to stand out from the human race more. Yozora Entered the tournament because he wanted to see how he and his siblings had progressed.

    Pokemon-
    Species Furret
    nickname Hera
    Hera is
Yozora's youngest sister, and she is generally his starter in a battle. Hera is a power house, not only does she have a rollout that can stop a charging stelix cold.....ok not stop it but give it a heck of a headache but a variety of elemental attacks. She and Yozora had been united when they where little along with the rest of Yozora's team. Hera is shy and generally only warms up to a person has been around for a while and done nothing to make her worry. Also Hera's tail is pure black.

    Species Scyther
    nickname zolo
    Zolo is
Yozora's youngest brother but the strictest of the lot, he enters a battle with the intent of not losing till he's dead. Not that it happens as he does lose battles and his siblings are the ones that have to get Zolo to stop mopping that he lost a battle when he thought he should have won. He is the best with defense on the team biding his time and waiting for an opening, but aggravate him and all bets are off he'll become ruthless and Yozora often will have to intervene.

    species Lucario
    nickname Night
    Night is not only
Yozora's brother but the same age as the human. the lucario happens to the fastest thinker on the team Night is the fastest on the team and doesn't hesitate to use that speed to find a weak point or an opening. and if he locks onto your aura, it's hard to escape. another thing, Night is albino (Not shiny more like the white lucario from brawl) but the spikes on Nights chest and paws are as black at the night sky.

    species Houndoom
    nickname Blaze
Blaze is the same age as her brother
Yozora, and she is the trickster of the team not afraid to pull a prank to lighten the mood. She also uses her pranks in battle to unease or just make the opponent lose their cool by pranking them in battle or doing some stupid dodge that shouldn't have worked but did. also Blaze is abnormally big, something to do with her dad being a Nidoking, her shoulder is the same height as Yozora's though she isn't any stronger then a Houndoom she is a little more intimidating.

    species Gallade
    nickname Conan
Yozora's oldest brother and the psychic powerhouse of the team, on the team Night is the only one who can compare strength with Conan, Conan happens to be the calm one of the team almost nothing can upset him, he make plans for possible future battles and share them with the others to see their approval. nothing abnormal aside that he likes to dye his head fin gold.

    species Flygon
    nickname Furaito
Yozora's oldest sister and the only flier on the team, she is the caring one who worries about others before herself. she flies the skies as if dancing and her grace is not matched by any one on the team this said she is always ready for battle because she knows that she will have to pull out all the stops if she is summoned to battle.

    Roleplay Sample
Yozora sat there looking up at the television screen watching a battle unfold he was studying, He needed an idea about tactics that where used in big tournaments like this, though so far all he had done was learn that all trainers went with their own tactics and some plans for if and when he came up against them.

"Would Yozora Tuski please report to arena three. " The announcers voice called. Looking up at a clock Yozora grimaced, he was late, never a way to make a good impression. still he stood and walked out to the arena.

Stepping out into the sunlight Yozora gazed at his opponent. "How nice of you to show up finally, though you shouldn't have shown up at all." Yozora's stance shifted slightly as he eyed the twenty year old. "Because i wouldn't have to embarrass you!"

"Trainers, Chose your pokemon!" the Ref called.

"Gengar Go!" The man shouted calling the ghost type out

Yozora garbed a poke ball and flung it, "Battle time sis." out popped Hera the Furret gazing right at her foe even as her black tail twitched.

"that is your first Pokemon? Hah this will be over quick." The man laughed.

"Yozora vs. Eric, begin!" The referee shouted.

"Gengar use Night Shade!" Eric commanded and the Ghost type did just that unleashing the dark energy= beams that would mean a world of hurt for most pokemon

Yozora waved his hand and Hera curled into a ball rolling at high speeds blasting Right through the Night Shade.

"What?!" Eric exclaimed but before he could give a counter Hera slammed full force into Gengar and uncurled unleashing a devastating iron tail that sent The Gengar right back to earth. "Gengar! Get up!" Eric commanded as the ghost type jumped back up. "Brick break!" With a nod Hera was slammed with the super effective attack. with a cry of pain Hera slammed into the ground and seemed to stop moving.

"Hera is...." The Ref was stopped by Hear letting out a cry of pain. all attention turned to the Furret as she pushed back to her feet glaring at the Gengar.

"Strike!" Yozora commanded as Hera once again unleashed rollout, and again Hera struck but this time with a different attack as follow up. She slashed at Gengar with shadow claw. The supper effective attack slammed Gengar into a wall right next to Eric who looked dumbfounded.

"H..h..How could a Furret do that?" He asked as Hera landed and walked back to Yozora.

Yozora crouched down and smiled. "Good job sis want to take a break?" he asked getting a shake of the Furret's head as her eyes glowed blue for a second. "I see you want to use that huh? Well fire away."

Hera smiled before her ears twitched "Magamorter Go!" Eric roared ticked that his ghost type had been beaten by a Furret, a normal type. "Fire blast!"

"Surf." Yozora responded. Hera glowed Blue before letting lose a high pitched battle cry as a tidal wave rose up. Making both Eric and Magamorter go pale.

"I'll let Hera go as long as she wants, besides this is fun." Yozora thought as he watched Magamorter get pounded by surf then followed up with a beating from rollout.

The battle continued much the same way, though Yozora was forced to call back both Hera and Zolo from battle because of how hurt they where. it ended with Night the lucario dodging a Tyranitars earthquake and unleashing a close combat.
Walking out Yozora looked down at his pokeballs a smile on his face, they had progressed so far since the start of their journey, and they would only go farther. rounding a corner Yozora headed towards a Pokemon center never once looking back at the arena, though he would have to made sure he would be on time for his next match.

  • Musician of Literature: Okay, you are reserved.

SonofWiseii: Nice job, you are accepted. However, just be sure to use a little more variety with your sentence structure... I got a little annoyed while reading the appearance section.

§acred†Beo!: Got it, I'll reserve you a spot.

Strikit: You never cease to amaze me with your sign-ups. Accepted of course.

Serin: This was an awesome sign up... although the gyrados in your character's team is a little too big... but oh well. I will accept you.

moonlight kitsune of the night sky: Okay, first off I noticed a lot of gramatical errors in your sign up, most of them being uncapitalized words (ie: your characters name should be capitalized and the sentences in your personality section need to begin with a capital). Also, your character's appearance is a little too close to the 'too extreme' line. However, because I am in a good mood, I will set you as pending instead of rejected.

Okay, that's a good start. My own SU will be up in a day or two (it's taking a while 'cause I'm not feeling well).

  • Aww, thank you Jewel. I put a lot of thought into grown-up Ethan. I really did play him as 15. If you're curious, check out The New League RP originally by Lugi-a.

Ok thank you for the honesty, the grammar I can get but what did I do wrong with the appearance? I'm not mad or any thing, just wondering what I need to fix.

I changed it to 30 feet. The regular height of Gyarados is 21'04"

And thanks. Been a while since I've been in a roleplay.

  • Hey, thanks for accepting me! :) About the sentence structure of the Appearance: it was kinda one of those late night, too-tired-too-care-about-grammar situations Thursday night, then I finished it and signed-up Friday. I normally write much better than that. :nervous:

  • moonlight kitsune of the night sky: I'm glad you're not mad. You'd be surprised how many people freak out when I make somewhat negative comments on their sign-ups. As far as yours goes, I just thought it was a little extreme for your character to have ears and tails. However, you do have a good explanation for it in your history section so I may be willing to accept if you fix your other errors and such. Oh, and since I didn't mention it before, it would be nice if you could separate out paragraphs in your rp sample; it makes it easier to read.

Hmmm, no one new has signed up. I'll probably start this on the weekend even if I haven't filled up all of the spots. ._.

Oh, and I finished my own sign up. So, here it is. XP

    Name- Fern M. Coyick

    Age- 18

    Gender-
    female
Appearance- Standing at a height of about five foot seven, Fern isn't extremely tall or extremely short; just average. Her weight is also average, if not a little thin- Fern is very health conscious. Save for a few tanned patches on her lower legs and arms, Fern has fairly pale skin. Also, her extensive excersize helped give Fern strong arms that look well muscled, especially for a girl. On most days, Fern will style her long, reddish hair into a braid that reaches to about five inches above her waist. A few shorter curls of hair that cannot be put into the braid always hang down in and around Fern's face, so she has to push them out of her true green eyes every few seconds. No matter the day and conditions, Fern can always be seen wearing a decent coat of make-up, and certainly her favorite deep red lipstick.

Knowing that she was going to be heading out on an adventure, Fern wore a pair of sturdy pants with many bulging pockets- perfect for carrying trinkets that she so loves to pick up on adventures. For further comfort, Fern decided to put on the pair that had removable lower legs, attached by a zipper of course, and this pair happend to be a slightly greenish tan in color. To further show off her tough, adventurous style, Fern decided to put on her favorite camo t-shirt. The final aspect of Fern's outfit is a high-tech watch with a thick, black watchband. This watch not only tells time, but also had a built-in GPS. Furthermore, this particular watch can have the days and months completely altered to match 'moon time'.

    Personality-
Fern is a tough as nails type, ready and willing to do almost anything for any good reason she can think up. Fern is extremely adventurous, and has been that way since she was a very small child. When around her superiors, Fern is loyal, obidient, and a good listener. She does well at following orders, and never does any less than her best. However, when around her peers, Fern seems to have a commanding aura, and in these situations she won't settle for being anything but the leader. Another part of Fern's personality is her ability to think clearly and logically. Fern doesn't joke often, and she doesn't speak often either.

History- Just a mere two weeks after her birth, Fern's father answered the call of duty and headed off to war. Fern's mother coninued working at her job in the Viridian City pokemart (for they lived in Viridian) as much as she could with the baby at home, confident that life would be easier when her husband returned. Then, a month before his return date, a message arrived saying that Fern's dad wasn't going to come home. It took many weeks for Fern's mother to get over the shock and grief of losing her husband, but eventually she knew that it was time to raise Fern.

Growing up without a father wasn't horrible for Fern, since she had never really known him in the first place, but she still constantly wondered what life would be like if he were still there. Fern's mother spent a large number of nights telling Fern how adventurous and strong her father was, and that was the inspiration for Fern's own personality. She was going to be just like her father. During her free time, Fern would play and train her body in the Viridian forest, which was still preserved in this future time since it had been made a national park. Naturally, Fern wanted a pokemon the day she turned ten. Though a little reluctant at first, Fern's mother eventually agreed to let Fern get a pokemon and head off on her own adventure.

During her travels, Fern caught many pokemon and won many battles. By the time whe was thirteen- three years after she started training -Fern was able to challenge the Kanto pokemon league. While she didn't win, Fern still placed very well. After that, Fern spent almost five years exploring and investigaing the Sevii islands, as well as taking a few quick trips to Johto. While she would occasionally visit home for a few days during her years as a trainer, Fern made a particularly long visit for her eighteenth birthday. Most mothers would be grateful, but Fern's mom knew that something was up.

As it turned out, Fern did truely want to be exactly like her father. Having turned eighteen, she was old enough to join the army and that was why she had returned home. However, Fern's mother wouldn't stand for it. Since she had already lost her husband to war, Fern's mom was not ready to lose her daughter. Disappointed by the firm and negative decision, Fern hung around home a few months more in case her mother were to change her mind. As it turned out, Fern got into something far more interesting; the Lunar League. Once she had placed in the top ten, and it was confirmed that she was going to the moon, Fern was excited to tell her mother. Naturally, Mother Coyick was not happy with the situation, but she was easily swayed into supporting Fern. At present time, Fern has been staying in a Saffron hotel with her mother, ready for the day when she can go to the space station.

    Pokemon-

    Neptune/Blastoise (male)
Being Fern's first pokemon, Neptune was recieved from a local pokemon dealer and has been with Fern for her entire eight years of training. Originally, Fern had wanted a charmander, but she ended up chosing Neptune because His personality was so like her own. During his time as a squirtle, Neptune got a horrible eye infection and had to have his eye removed. Now, Fern always has him wear an eye patch.

    Equina/Rapidash (female)
Fern had decided to get a squirtle instead of a charmander, but that was far from meaning that she didn't want a fire type. When Fern came across a ponyta on the road, she was more than ready to capture it. Equina is kind and mild in personality, and she was easy to capture. As a ponyta, tiny patches of blue fire could be seen in Equina's tail. Since evolving, such patches have become grey. This leads Fern to believe that Equina has a tiny bit of shiny in her.

    Yellow Jack/Beedrill (male)
Usually called just 'Jack', Yellow Jack was traded to Fern in return for a raticate that she had caught. Immediately, Jack proved to be tempermental and disobediant, however he eventually he warmed up to Fern. Now he is merely tempermental (XD). The only thing unique about Jack is that is an absolutely picture-perfect beedrill without any notable deviances.

    Sly/Zoroark (male)
When she first caught Sly, Fern and a few trainers she met thought that he was a shiny eevee. That was when Fern found out that shiny eevees were pale, and certainly not dark blue-grey. After taking him to professor Oak in Pallet, it was revealed that Sly was a rare and mysterious pokemon known as zorua. He later evolved of unknown causes. Sly is a quiet pokemon, who spends his time either battling, or spacing out. Since very few people know what a zorua or zoroark looks like, it is hard to judge if he has appearance differences, though he doesn't appear to.

    Glamour/Flaafy (female)
Fern caught Glamour in one of her short trips to the Johto region, and she is the only pokemon in Fern's main team that isn't fully evolved. Like her name may suggest, Glamour is a total diva. She shows off; complains (in her own pokemon way); snaps in people's faces, as well as pokemon's; and she always wants Fern to buy her pokemon accessories. Despite their entirely opposite personalities, Fern and Glamour get along fairly well. Galmour is always sure to keep her coat looking perfect, and she always has on trinkets such as rhinestone collars or gold-painted bracelets.

Roleplay Sample- Okay, since I am the GM, this is entirely pointless. End.

Hey, can I reserve a spot too? I'm new (here, not to RPing, don't worry), so it might take me a little bit to get accustomed to all the different things. I'll start up on the sign up now.

    ((Alright, here it goes.))

    Name: Sean Everett

    Age: 17

    Gender: Male

Appearance: Sean stands at five ten, pretty tall for his age, or any age. He isn't skinny or fat, but he is a little heavier than the normal. That's not fat, though, it's mostly muscle, as running and exercising keeps him fit and in shape. He has shaggy black hair that's longer than most boys but not nearly as long as girls'. He's pretty tan, although that's mostly just his face, forearms, and legs below the knees because of the clothes he usually wears. He has dark blue eyes, almost going into black, and a short scar on his left leg right below his knee from an accident he had as a kid.

Sean isn't the most trendy kid, but instead just dresses for comfort. He wore a beaten black baseball cap that looked like it had lived through a lot of battles, because it had. He had a red t-shirt underneath an open black vest with a couple of pockets for storing anything he might need. He wore a pair of baggy, tan cargo shorts that ended below the knees and a pair of running shoes, almost as worn as his hat. He had a brown belt with six pouches on it for carrying his pokeballs. He had a black wristband around his left wrist, not for anything in particular, but just because it felt comfy around his wrist.

Personality: He is the most laid-back type of person you could imagine. Sean never gets into arguments and is very easy to become friends with. He's always the one who tries to be the peacemaker whenever a fight breaks out. He listens to people well enough, although sometimes he just pretends not to hear things if he doesn't want to do them. Sean does like to talk a lot though, and loves to joke around. Life's just one big ride to him.

History: Sean grew up in a pretty normal household. His Dad worked as a minor researcher in a pokemon lab, and his Mom mostly stayed home with Sean. He had a brother named Brian who was older than he was, and Brian left to become a pokemon trainer. That's where Sean got his initial interest in pokemon, when his brother came home one day with a pokeball he said was for Sean. The small boy quickly threw it open and out popped an Eevee. That Eevee was Sean's best friend from that day forward.

The Everett family wasn't rich, but they weren't poor either. They had a small, two bedroom house (Sean had his own room since Brian moved out). Sean didn't leave to become a trainer when he was ten, but instead waited until he was thirteen, just because he didn't want to leave home. When he did, though, he set out happily with his Eevee in tow.

He traveled the world, catching pokemon and battling other trainers and gym leaders, meeting a lot of friends along the way. He has a few badges under his belt, but not a whole lot. He's mostly interested in pokemon themselves, not how they fight. That doesn't mean he's against fighting at all, but it does mean that he likes to try and befriend pokemon more than become their master.

Surprisingly, Sean made it into the tournament and was one of the ten who won. He was ecstatic to see his prize, and when he found out what it was, he was heartbroken and excited at the same time. Leaving home, leaving Earth for a while would be tough, but it was the adventure of a lifetime. His Mom and Dad understanding when he told them, and wishing he could brag to Brian as he set out for Saffron City, the adventure of his life.

    Pokemon:

    Eevee (male):
Sean's first pokemon and best friend, his Eevee stuck by him since day one, rarely having to go back into his pokeball. There's nothing too special about his Eevee, but Sean makes sure he's always happy. His Eevee his much like him, laid back and not very shy at all. Whenever you see Sean, you'll probably see his Eevee too, sticking close by or perched precariously on one of Sean's shoulders, although to this day, he's never fallen.

    Arcanine (male):
Sean caught Arcanine when he was fifteen, and never again was he out of his reach. Arcanine's always caught Sean's attention because of how amazing they looked. When he saw one in the wild, he knew he had to capture it. Doing it was a bit of a challenge, because the Arcanine was very strong. Sean did manage to do it, though, and now Arcanine will do whatever it takes to make Sean happy. His Arcanine is very loyal and follows whatever Sean tells it to do to the letter.

    Poliwrath (male):
Poliwrath was originally a little Poliwag, but Sean trained it hard and cared for it, and eventually it evolved into the mighty Poliwrath. His Poliwrath is a little bigger than most of the species, at four foot seven. Whenever the pokemon is out of his pokeball he is usually trying to work out or pick a fight, although if he needs to, Sean can keep him in check.

    Dewgong (female):
Sean's Dewgong almost got away when Sean tried to catch it, because it didn't even try to fight him. Instantly the Dewgong tried to swim away, but Sean managed to catch it, and months after slowly trying to befriend her, with more patience than most trainers would have had, she finally warmed up to him. Just around him she is magnificent, doing flips in the water and other amazing tricks, but around others, even Sean's other pokemon, she barely does anything. She isn't the best fighter because of her shyness, but Sean would never give up a pokemon because of that.

    Marowak (male):
Sean didn't really try to catch Marowak, but instead the pokemon initiated a fight with him. Content walking along with Eevee, the Marowak attacked him, but Sean managed to hold him off. Marowak was wounded from the fight, and since Sean didn't just want to leave him there, he caught him and brought him to a pokecenter as quick as he could. When trying to release Marowak back into the wild, it refused to go. Since then Marowak has been one of Sean's most fierce fighters, and will protect Sean with it's life whenever it senses he's in danger.

    Chansey (female):
Sean has always been very interested in Chanseys, and when he saw one in the wild, he didn't attack it, but slowly followed it and studied it. When he accidentally stepped on a twig and was discovered, the Chansey immediately ran, and Sean made no move to follow, but instead just sat down and cursed his luck. A few minutes later the Chansey came back timidly, and Sean did his best to show that he meant no harm. After a while, Chansey put her guard down and finally accepted Sean. Spending a few nights in the wild with the Chansey, finally deciding to leave, the Chansey insisted upon coming with him, so to make it official he caught her, and whenever she comes out of her pokeball Sean is usually met with a hug.

    Roleplay Sample:

Sean walked into the arena and faced his opponent with his usual cool manner. "I hope your ready to lose!" the man opposite him said, laughing harshly and smiling, obviously confident. "Let the better man win," was all Sean said, giving his own smile, although his was far less cold. This put the man off for a moment, but he quickly recovered, and as the referee signaled the start of the battle, the other man sent out his pokemon first.

"Go, Shiftry!" he shouted, sending out the pokemon. His pokemon quickly got into an attack stance and was getting ready for whatever Sean was going to throw at him. Sean stood motionless for a moment, then reached into his belt and grabbed a ball, throwing it onto the field. "Go, Arcanine!" he shouted, because he couldn't resist being a little dramatic, and out came his Arcanine, growling fiercely and ready to rumble.

The man and his pokemon were a little surprised by the glorious pokemon the young man had, because they thought he was just another new trainer in over his head. Sean took advantage of this and got the first attack.

"Tackle!" Sean said for a starting attack, and his Arcanine crossed the arena floor quicker than a flash, taking the Shiftry to the ground with a rough tackle. As the Shiftry stumbled back on it's feet while it's owner got red in the face and started shouting, Sean kept calm and said his next move.

"Flamethrower!" the trainer quickly said, and just as Shiftry got to it's feet to attack it got slammed by a pillar of flame that erupted from Arcanine's mouth. The fire pokemon's mane flowed as the fire flew from it's mouth, and the Shiftry was slammed to the ground and burning. As the flow finally slowed Arcanine growled again, already getting ready for it's next order. "Tackle!" Sean said again, now getting into his groove and moving around more, making hand motions to go along with his orders, although it was entirely unnecessary. His Arcanine quickly followed, it's legs pumping as it flew across the floor to where the Shiftry was and pounced on it. It pinned it down with it's front two legs to keep the opponent's fans down, and already anticipating it's next order, opened it's mouth and roared loudly, causing the other man and the referee to put their hands over their ears.

"Fireball!" Sean shouted, pumping his fist for emphasis. The sphere of flame shot out of Arcanine's mouth as it jumped backwords to avoid the explosion of the fireball. The Shiftry was clearly out for the count, and the man slowly returned it to it's pokeball in shock. Arcanine retreated back to Sean and walked back and forth in a line, never taking it's eyes off of the other man.

"Your move," Sean said, his calm back with him as he gave a cocky yet friendly smile.

    ((Alright, that's it.))

Ok, sorry for any spelling mistakes, I think I got them all, but anything to do with pokemon gets flagged :cer_blankstare:

    Name- Fredric Walter

    Age- 19

    Gender- Male

Appearance- Fredric is a tall with young man from a noble family that existed in the futile age. He has a strong and somewhat sharp face. His blue eyes and medium (for a boy, not buzz, not a mullet) light brown hair fit well with his light skin tone. Fredric's arm is covered in a scar he got from one of his journeys.

Fredric has packed around ten pairs of jeans (different shades of blue), a pair of cargo pants (tan), and a pair of cargo shorts (also tan). Along with his pants he packed fifteen t-shirts (varying color and design) and four long sleeved shirts (same as the t-shirts). He is wearing his only pair of shoes (grey sneakers) and has a pair of hiking boots (dark drown) also packed away. For when it might get colder, Fredric finally packed a snow jacket, ski gloves, and snow pants (all black). He will be wearing any mixture of these, or his space suit. Currently he is wearing a plane red shirt, and dark blue jeans.

Personality- Fredric has made many friends in his travels. He is a generally likeable guy. He is always clean, sometimes almost to the point of OCD. He talks often with his friends, but tends to be shy around other people. He doesn't get nervous around them, just is quieter and won't show his emotions as much. Fredric strives to be a kind upstanding citizen; he respects elders and people who are a higher rank in anything then him.

History- Fredric grew up like most children. He lived in Snowpoint city. His dad was away at Fuego Ironworks except in the winter. Fredric's mother is Nurse Joy's assistant at the pokemon center. One year, Fredric's father had to stay in the Ironworks a little longer. Devastated by the news, Fredric ran into the forest to the west of the town, and got lost in a small cave. There, Fredric was tested for his very survival. Most ten year old boys wouldn't survive, but Fredric was built tough. His mother regularly though him what she had learned at the pokemon center, and his father took his family camping whenever he could get time off in the summer. Fredric knew what plants where edible, and how to prepare them, that summer in the survival class had paid off. Fredric stayed in the cave for seven days, melting snow in a bottle over the fire, and cooking berries from friendly Snovers. At the fifth day, Fredric was settled and ready to go back home, only to his horror, he was lost. A Snowrunt came up to him on the sixth day. He was desperate for company, so Fredric shared some berries. The Snowrunt took a liking to him, and stayed with him. On the seventh day, Snowrunt had found a Delibird, and the two followed it out of the cave.

When he turned fifteen he tough the survival class at Snowpoint city. A year latter Fredric stopped his teaching to travel. He didn't make it very far though. His mother wanted him home for the winter so he returned. He stayed into the spring and received a strange email. He joined up in the competition, and became one of the top ten finalists. Now he was packed and ready to test his skills on the moon.

    Pokemon-
    Frosslass/Alma (female)
The Snowrunt that found Fredric nine years ago has evolved into a Frosslass on their journeys. When Fredric came across a Dawn stone, he happily evolved him beloved pokemon. This is Fredric's main pokemon, and has gotten him through some though battles. Over protective of Fredric, and with the icy stones protruding father out of its head then normal, can scare people off.

    Ninetails/ Edna (Female)
When Fredric's father received a promotion at his work, he was given a Vulpix of his own. He then gave it to his wife to keep her company. When Fredric turned fifteen, she then gave the Vulpix to him. Fredric's father brought home a fire stone that same year. Fredric evolved her immediately, and then left her with his mother as he want on his journey. Edna is laid back, and is constantly grayed from the soot it creates along it fur. Is sometimes joking called the mother of the team.

    Garchop/ Drake (male)
Fredric's first capture. He caught Drake a month after heading out when he was stuck in a cave. After a fierce battle the Garbite went down. It was later evolved and trained under Fredric. This is the pokemon he uses most in battle. Drake is often aggressive towards new people.

    Bastiodon/ Geo (male)
This was given to Fredric in good faith after saving a miner from a cave in. Was a Sheildon when it was given to Fredric, but it was named Geo, and excavating rock. Stubborn and unmoving in its decision, he protects the pokemon on the team fiercely.

    Shroomish (male)
The latestly caught pokemon in the team. Shroomish was also gifted to Fredric after he partnered up with a girl for a month. He received Shroomish, and he gave her a Teddiuras. Fredric still hasn't named or trained Shroomish yet because he went home a week after obtaining it.

Roleplay sample- Fredric stared down his new opponent. They hadn't meat but ten minutes ago, and now Fredric was in the first battle of the tournament. 3 vs. 3, no switches. Fredric stated out with his signature Garchomp. The boy on the other side of the field tossed out a Sunflora. "Sunflora use sunnyday." Fredric decided to have some fun.

"Drake, sandstorm." The sandstorm blocked out the sun, and made Drake fade into the wind.

    "Ingrain"
"Earthquake" Fredric was enjoying himself now. Drake violently shook Sunflora's roots out of the ground.

    "Solar beam!"

"Finish this with dragon rush." Sunflora started to try and absorb sun, but it wasn't going so well. Drake took the opportunity, appeared out of nowhere and slashed the Sunflora with his claws. Drake lowered the sandstorm to allow the boy to recall his injured pokemon. They small boy fumbled a ball out onto the field, and a Corphish appeared.

    "Drake, bite"
"Protect!" Drake's teeth hit an invisible wall around the Corphish.

"Icebeam" Corphish now shot a white line strait at Drake. Drake was frozen solid, and out cold (pun intended). Fredric recalled him, and sent out Frosslass. The boy smirked.

    "Corphish, nightslash!"
"Alma, hypnosis." The Corphish lunged for what would surly beat a finishing kill, but was nocked back by Alma's shadow ball, and hypnosis combo. Alma then disappeared. The Corphish struggled a bit, then stopped and Alma repapered. The trainer recalled his second pokemon, and sent out his trump card, Graveller.

"Rockthrow." The boy started to sound desperate as his pokemon chucked a rock right at Alma.

"Heh, have you forgotten that Frosslass are ice type? Alma, icebeam." Alma floated around the assault of rocks. Alma made it hail, then saored through right at the Graveler who was still chucking rocks at the air. Alma let loose a icebeam from the snow. Graveler turned, and throw a rock. It hit the ground with a thud.

"Sounds like I hit your Frosslass, want to recall it." The boy laughed, but froze as another icebeam ripped through the snow. Frantic, the Graveler used magnitude. Alma floated right over it, and hit him with another icebeam. Graveler finally gave up, with a self destruct. The hail stopped, and the boy recalled his pokemon.

"Nice try kid. Keep training, you still have the elite four to challenge."
