I've left you guys without warning so many times that you all probably don't trust me now... oh well. I'll start this anyway. I've been planning this roleplay game through the entire time my computer was glitching up and I am not going to let this die. Now without further ado, I present to you a roleplay.
Where No Trainer Has Gone Before
Pg 13
Pg 13
It was early spring in the year 2092, and you, a pokemon trainer, were minding your own business when an email arrived. Written in the ancient 'letter' formant, it seemed odd and you became convinced that this email was not mere junk. Curious, you began to read.
Dear Trainer,
This is an official invitation for you to enter a competition we like to call the Lunar League. The Lunar League will be a tournament and hundreds of trainers will enter, but the brackets will only go as far as to have ten winners. Those ten winners will receive an all-expenses-paid vacation, or at least of a sort. If you win, you will be sent to live in a newly established lunar colony- that's right, on the moon! With today's technology, you will be able to get there by spaceship in a matter of weeks, and you will be provided with a spacesuit for journeying outside your bio-domes. Food and oxygen will, of course, be provided for such trips. More information on the Lunar Colonies will be sent out to the ten winners of the Lunar League. If you are interested, send in an application form containing your name, age, and pokemon. Like with every other battle you have taken place in, only six pokemon will be allowed. You must be between the ages of fifteen and thirty to participate. Please sign up today!
After reading you decided for whatever reason to take on the challenge. The tournament took place over the course of a week, and when it was done, you were one of the trainers that had ended up winning the trip to the moon. Upon arriving home again, another email arrived from the same sender, also in letter format, and you anxiously read that one too.
Dear Trainer,
As you already know, you are one of the ten winners who will be going to the moon. Be at the space center in Saffron City four days from now, packed and ready for your Lunar voyage. It is suggested that you bring plenty of clothing, for you will be living there for a few years at least. But don't worry, there is a laundromat in the colony pf course. In addition to your clothing, you may bring any personal items on, though pokegears, pokenavs, etc. will not work on the moon. Also, you will not be able to switch any of the pokemon on your team out with the ones you have in your PC here on Earth. The facilities of the colony and the items you will be provided with are listed here:
Equipment:
-Spacesuit (one for you and custom ones for each of your pokemon)
-Refillable Oxygen Tanks
-Lunardex*
-Lunarballs*
Colony (all colony buildings are domes made of concrete or heavy-duty glass; all of them are linked with long hallways. Exits from the colony can be found in most halls):
-Four gyms in the colony's four corners, descriptions attached to the bottom.
-Your own bio hut with a private bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen
-Many restaurants with food grown in greenhouse domes
-Greenhouse domes (you may visit these to see the plants; they are the only ones on the moon)
-Pokemon Research Center, headed by professor Selena
-An observatory where you can get better stargazing views than anywhere on earth.
-There is one medical center where you can be treated if you are hurt or sick
-You will, of course, be able to visit with other colonists including your fellow trainers
Now, we are sure you are wondering about the Lunardex and Lunarballs which are starred above. They are the real reason you will be going to the moon. There have been countless reports of colonists seeing pokemon out their windows; wild pokemon, without spacesuits. While some of the sightings have been of existing pokemon, some people claim that they have seen new species. We expect you to try and find these pokemon, record information about them on the Lunardex, and to capture a few with specially made Lunarballs. No one yet has ventured to the side of the moon opposite Earth, the dark side, and we will send you and the other trainers out into that terrain to investigate. Also, there have been rumors that legendary pokemon connected to the moon and space (ie palkia, cresselia, etc.) spend much of their time on the moon. We hope that you will look into this as well. Oh, and one more piece of advice: don't bring an eevee to the moon unless you plan on evolving it into umbreon. Despite our best efforts, no eevee will last more than ten minutes on the moon without spontaneously evolving into umbreon. Good luck.
Gym Information:
Earthrise Gym- The gym with its back to the place where earth rises each day. The leader of this gym is a man named Patrick, and he trains grass types.
Sunrise Gym- The gym with its back to the place where the sun rises each day. The leader of this gym is a woman named Heather, and she trains fire types.
Crater Gym- The gym found in the base of a crater. The leader of this gym is a man named Tiberius, and he trains rock types.
Darkside Gym- The gym found on the edge of the colony closest to the boundary that marks the half of the moon known as the dark side. The leader of this gym is a woman named Lilu, and she trains dark types.
And that was that. You had far from expected this trip to be a mysterious investigation of lunar pokemon, and the whole thing seemed so unreal and abstract. But it was very real. Quickly you began to pack everything you wanted to bring, and you may have attended a few goodbye parties as well. Then, it was off to the space station, and from there, to the moon!
This roleplay will begin at the space station, right as the ten trainers are boarding the spaceship.
Rules:
1) You may be on the moon, but don't space out (stay active).
2) Don't push others into craters (no flaming).
3) Sadly, mind control devices haven't been invented yet (no bunnying)
4) Nobody's perfect (no mary-sues).
5) Enjoy your stay (have fun)!
