5th Gen English Release Date Discussion [EU - March 4, US - March 6, AUS - March 10]

    I am surprise that no one has made a thread like this one yet...
    I went to some pokemon website, like poke beach.. they said that gamestop will release pokemon black and white on April 22nd of next year... Well I called a gamestop in my area and they said that it was set for release on March 2...
     
    That's like TWO WEEKS after my birthday ~shakes fist~ darn you Gamestop and releasing your games after my birthday. I'll just go with my previous plan and get full paid for pre-orders of the game.
     
    I REALLY hope it's the earlier date; I'm getting really annoyed with waiting for the game to be released in English. You'd think by now they'd have this translating thing down, right?

    But there hasn't been an official date released yet, right? I keep checking every day, because it really makes sense that it could be announced any day now....
     
    Well we have to remember that thorse dtes are not final... I am not sure with the April 22nd one but I am sure about March 2nd... gamestop said so...
     
    Personally, I'm hoping it'll be January 2010, to follow the starting in Spring theme, because I do not want to wait til May (for Spring, that is). ;;

    By the way, I edited the title and posted so we don't get reports on this. :)
     
    Sometime around April 22nd would sound make sense, as there seems to have been a 5-7 month gap in between the Japanese and International releases for the past few generations.

    Interestingly enough, April 22nd was the release date for Ruby/Sapphire as well, if I recall correctly.

    Nope they were released in March 17 (sapphire) and March 18 (Ruby) according to Bulbapedia...wow why were they released on two separate date in NA...
    I wonder if they might do that with BW and release White before Black :3...

    Oh. Wow, I was wrongsicles. =\\

    It's very possible that the two might have separate release dates, but I haven't heard anything of it. Wouldn't shock me though, as it seems like Black and White will be the first generation of "contrasts" that have differences beyond just avaliability of different Pokemon in the wild.
     
    I like the April release date or any date after the month of March cause march is the time of the year when state testing occurs mostly in america...

    Yeah but you also got to think about Canadian and Mexican fans (they are also part of North America), and I actually want them to come out in March...April is too far away...
     
    I'm hoping that B/W will be released at some point in mid-March. I don't want to wait until May for them.

    According to you, they are already released in the US? xD Mistyping ftw.

    On topic:     Around May-April sounds pretty good, at least for me because summer holidays is close by then. :D

    ...anyway yeah, despite the fact that noone else thinks it'll be in January 2011 (haha, correct now), I still think it'll be then. It makes so much sense, with it being announced in November, or something. If not, May. I want it to be in March/April, but because of the whole starting in Spring thing... D:
     
    April 22nd, which would be SPRING in the games. This would make sense considering that the games were released in an ingame Spring month.

    April is actually Winter ^^' I know, makes no sense but hey, it is how it is :P

    These games usually arrive in the UK around May or June =_=' (I think DP arrived in July >.<) Ah well, here's hoping.

    Well maybe the games out in the Uk earlier than in NA similar to how HgSs came out in Korea earlier than everyone else (except for Japan of course) despite the fact that they always come out there late compared to the rest of the world...
    Yeah game releases can be unpredictable...
