Pokémon: Protectors of Unova (OOC + SU Thread)

Oh hey, i'd like to sign up.

just a question, do we *have* to pick a starter pokemon? i don't mean that i want to pick a legendary, i just meant something a little different, like a ... aron or a zorua or a riolu or a clefairy or whatever. something a little different?

also, will there be partner pokemon (the pokemon ranger type)?

Real Name: Tobias "Toby" Treston
Codename: Silver
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Personality: Toby is annoying. He is smarmy, idiotic and does not miss a chance to insult you and your intelligence. He's fairly care free and doesn't seem to take anything personally. He says what he wants, when he wants. He's somewhat oblivious when he insults friends and family; he sees them more as jokes and less as attempts to create negative emotions. His friends and family though see rather differently. But he's quite okay with being alone.

The only reason why he joined the Pokémon Ranger Union was to help Pokémon. When a Pokémon (specifically. Humans are a different deal, although children are usually in the same boat as Pokémon) is in trouble, he's there to get the job done. He's fairly efficient in that area and it's the only reason why he hasn't been sacked, fired or killed.

He has a lot of built up anger though from the negative reactions he has received in return combined with the mixed emotions obtained from his father. When he's by himself, he gets quite sad and emotional and tries to push it all out with other emotions and video games. One of these days, he's gonna snap.

Appearance: Toby is tall, skinny and lanky. Standing at 181cm and weighing 75kg, his arms and legs are quite long in proportion to the rest of his body. His skin is quite pale and his eyes are a bottle green. His hair is the most interesting part of his body, messy, bleached and dyed silver (hence his codename). To others, it seems a little tacky due to his dark hair roots coming through as his hair grows. But he likes it. To him, it shows off his "rough" attitude. Whatever that means.

Usually, he wears the average tweenager-y gear; a dirty t-shirt, jeans (ripped or non-ripped), a chain necklace and a pair of converse. If not, he's in his ranger gear. He also has plain stars tattooed on the left side of his neck, right wrist and left hip, towards his back.

Sometimes, if he's feeling particularly cool, he has a pair of sunglasses pushed up on top his head.

History: Toby grew up in Sinnoh with his mother and sister, his father leaving the family when Toby was 9 and his sister, Sarah, was an infant. The whole ordeal left Toby a changed boy. Without a father to discipline him and with a mother who was far too busy with a sickly daughter to care, Toby became an ass. He forgot how to sympathise and in an attempt to hide his own emotions, he made fun of people. Not in a mean and nasty way, but sarcastically. People avoided him or threw insults back but none hurt him. Not on the outside anyway.

When he turned 15 and his sister 5, Sarah became too sickly for the Sinnoh's dreary and cold weather. Using what they could, they sold the house and moved to Unova. Sarah's health improved over time but Toby remained the same; sarcastic, somewhat humorous but in large doses, unbelievably unbearable.

The family started to thrive, dealing with their bills and their income steady. Even Toby managed to get a job in the Ranger Union, his behaviour improving as Sarah got better. When Toby finished his training, he signed up as a full time Ranger, the thought of helping Pokémon was an excellent career path for Toby. Sarah went off to become a trainer but Toby kept his job as a Ranger and eventually got the call for the special task force. He was picked for his exceptional skills in the care of Pokémon. A note was sent with him and given to the force captain; be wary of this one. He's a jerk.

Anyways, as of now, your Starter Pokémon will be your Partner Pokémon (although I might change the Partner Pokémon by popular demand).

Also, you'll be allowed to carry a Capture Styler to get Poké-Assists from wild Pokémon as well as those in your party. But honestly, this RP will likely be more like a normal journey RP with a bit more serious undertone, an invisible threat, and a LOT of detective work.

So yeah, it should be fun! :D

History: Jad where a Ranger when she's haved 10 years old.in she's third mission she's see a poor Cyndaquil being attacked by Four Rattatas! Jad rescued Cyndaquil and the two formed a big team.One morning...she's received a call from Unova!Thats the reason why Jad now are in Unova.Cyndaquil and Jad are very surprised for she's first call form a Region.

Gender: Male
Personality: Cross is cold to sum him up. He is a supergenious, and cold and calculating. He is a nice person, but is ruthless in battle, and tries to act carefree, but mostly just annoys people. He is the type of guy who is quite blunt, and he doesn't try to hide it. He doesn't care about what happens when he speaks the truth and someone cannot handle it, but as ruthless as he is, he usually tells people to deal with it. He is a lonely soul, and is thus not accustomed to work with others although he knows he might need their talents.

The reason Cross joined the Ranger Union was to learn more about pokemon, and different ways to use their talents, especially as strategic as he is, he could use the new things he has learnt easily. He has this insatiable thirst to learn everything, and he plans to learn about pokemon and be a betterment to society, but when Cross is ready to work he's there to get the job done. Cross is very focused and dedicated, which is why he hasn't been sanctioned, or even demoted or sacked.

Cross has anger issues, and due to those anger issues, he has problems expressing his feelings, and when he isn't with people, he feels that people do not want to be with him, which causes more anger to be built up. When his anger is released, he's like a semi-automatic gun, he doesn't stop shooting for at least another round. Cross hates being alone, and due to that he works, but when he can't work he usually tries to relax but fails.

Appearance: Cross is buff, sort of like a soccer player in stature. He has a large chest, and toned arms and legs. He has tanned skin, and his eyes are black. He has hair that is down to his neck, and has a blue streak on the bangs that cover his face, although right above the bangs, he usually dyes it different colors depending on his mood, but mostly, his hair is jet black with the exception of the blue streak. Cross' hair is special because the roots are dark gray, the main part is black, but with navy blue highlights, and people think he spends time on his hair, but he doesn't.

A skater look is to describe Cross. A black shirt with some weird designs on it, black tight jeans, a chain on his pants, a cross on his neck, and some black converse high tops. He only wears this, when he's not in uniform. Cross also can wear a hoodie if the weather gets too hectic, and he trades the high tops for some basketball sneakers. Cross sometimes sports a pair of sunglasses.

History: Cross was born in Sinnoh, in Canalave City, and he was raised mainly in Johto. Cross' parents were divorced, and due to that, he was always moved around from relative to relative who didn't want him, and he grew colder and colder. Cross being very lonely became a very cold and mean person, and at the age of 14 ran away from home and moved back into Canalave City. Due to this, Cross became cold and calculating, always analyzing people, looking for how to make them tick. He didn't talk much, but when some situations demanded it, he acted like a happy carefree, happy, and talkative person, which even he didn't like. Cross was hurt by every insulting thing said at him, but he always kept a calm exterior.

Cross eventually decided to run away from home, and moved back to Canalave City, living there for about a year. Until, he had to move to a region called Unova, because he heard that there were jobs there, that he could use to make some money. Cross eventually began to make money after moving in with a family there which knew his family, and things began to look up.

Cross finally began to get happy and he was elated, he heard about the Ranger Union, and he decided to join and become a ranger. The people Cross stayed with acted as a catalyst for his interest, or curiosity in pokemon. Cross graduated from the ranger academy fairly quickly and thus became a full time ranger. Cross was eventually picked for a Special Team in the Rangers. Cross was picked for his amazing analytical skills, and his skills as a strategist. Cross eventually went for the job but under his name he has been listed as 'EXTREMELY HARD TO WORK WITH.'.
