This information is important to bear in mind ahead of the Pokémon Video Game Australian National Championships starting at PAX Australia in Melbourne on July 20 and 21.

    We have received proof that Nintendo, TPC, and Gamefreak do not endorse any method of cheating with their games. AR codes, Gamesharking, and Smartphone/Internet Pokemon Creation are all bannable offenses and can cause serious harm to your game that Nintendo/TPCi will not make any attempt to compensate for.

    Keep this in mind if you wish to purchase apps on your phone (A thing that Pokemon has created lawsuits against in the near past), you stand risk of losing your game and hard work as well as have increased chance for expulsion from all events.

    So pretty much, do not use outside sources to create Pokemon for your games or you very well may destroy your game.

    Oh, I always assumed all of this as fact already. Especially if it breaks the games, I understand that they don't want people to use cheating software.

    It seems to have become more of an issue with the addtion of the Smartphone apps than it was in the past. I know nintendo tried to file a lawsuit aganst AR before but lost and had to pay a fine for some stupid reason. But I know I've had to sell copies to children who blew up their old games because of cheating. Saw one parent throw a kid's ipod after I explained to him what half the kid's apps were.

    I managed to get AR's taken off our shelves for a while too back when I first started.

    Its really not as well known as it should be.
