Article: All About Shiny Pokémon

Good show! You may have left out the shiny legendaries from Call of Legends in the TCG section and the gen 6 concept of TSVs, but those are the only issues I noticed. Good work there!

Since I've read it with eager, the first thing popped in my mind, when I red, that the Personal Trainer and Savefile-Number play a huge role in determing wheter a Pokemon is or isnt shiny!

But! Im wondering, since theres so much math behind this, could some Trainer ID's or Save I'ds influence the chance of getting numbers lower than 8/16? You understand what im pointing at?

Im no math crack, but Im seein a chance, that certain numbers may more often result in an number lower than 8/16.
Maybe also Even/Uneven Numbers may have a advantage?

Even if so, you couldnt really directly influence your numbers, but having certain numbers would give you an advantage. Anyone noticed something like this? Like a friend who always triggers shinys?

Im intrested in the discussion on that.

I'm a shiny fanatic and this really taught me a lot! It was really interesting to read about the PVs and what not. Also the story about the kid who soft-reset for 5 years? Lol that's insane.

And this was jokesss

I understand what you're saying but I think since the operation performed is co-adding and not simple addition or multiplication, someone's TID or SID wouldn't influence it. Because the string of the first part of the equation (TID or SID) might be, for example, 1001100100101011 - but this number itself isn't important, just whether or not the 1s and 0s in this string of numbers cancels out with the 1s and 0s from the PV portion of the equation. Idk if that makes sense haha this maths is quite complicated to explain haha.
