    Hey guys, My name is Backburner26 and I have been working on this little project mainly for fun and to experiment with making my own Pokemon game. I am using RPGMakerXP with the Pokemon Essentials 16.2 starter Kit.

    About 2 years ago just before Christmas I decided to start a little sprite project on my DA account where I would just make sprites for my own custom evil team that I called Team Phantasia. Slowly I created fake screenshots for my game and when I got RPGMakerXP I decided that I would actually start working on my own game. I am having alot of fun making it and I have got a couple of my friends to play-test and give me feedback on the latest version. As much as I would love to implement an Online feature, I simply don't know how to so the game is single player.

    To be honest the game doesn't really have a plot at the beginning, Its only till you beat the first gym when you start discovering the plot but here we go anyway.
    You play as a 16 Year old kid starting out on their Pokemon journey. They meet Professor Hazel who specialises in researching Shiny Pokemon and how they live. There is an evil team called Team Phantasia who you will come across and face many times throughout the story, though they seem to specialise in Ghost-Types. Spooky. The Team's Leader Oprah is surrounded in mystery since she doesn't disclose much about her past and you as the player will only be able to get snippets of who she is from reading some papers and books in an old abandoned lab.

    Other features that I plan in implementing into the game are:
    721 Pokemon catchable (only up-to the Kalos dex)
    A Battle Frontier styled Post game area
    Rematches with all the Gymleaders
    A Battle Tower with 4 difficulties each having a single and double battle variant.
    Special trainers and areas that Open up post game for the player to find and battle.
    Mystery Gifts via the Mystery Man.

    I am really looking forward for more people to play and hopefully enjoy it.

    EDIT (8th Feb 2024):
    It adds a couple more islands and a very much unfinished battle frontier with a few gamemodes within the battle gauntlet. The main additions however are Items to max IV's and EV's and mints to change natures. An expansion to the gold amount cap and many text and bug fixes all over the game. Though still unfinished in that department. Most text fixes go up to Gallium city.

    Other changes include Cherrish balls getting a catching buff and a price increase to compensate.
    Some new items such as the Hidden Power Checker and changes to some berries to increase happiness when they were used for Poffin making. (Since contests are not in the game these berries were useless.)

    Added the download link for a slightly newer version of the game.
    This newer version includes:
    Some bug fixes
    The Trainer tower, Note only the beginner difficulty is done at the moment
    Fixes the Poke Gear when talking to the Gym Leaders
     
    i dont have much to say but i have 2 problems:
    first: gen 4 styled trainers look really weird in gen 3 styled tilesets.
    second:this backsprite looks like a creepy evil clown

    I have changed the colour of the lipstick and the smile of the trainer sprite.
    The Gen3 tiles I enjoy the look of them, further down the line though once I have finished making every map, I will add more detail and shading to the tilesets to make the game look nicer.
     
    I love how this game is choosing to stick with the gen 3 style, its great.
     
    You know I am so damn sorry, I forgot this post even existed. I've been updating it slowly through the years and have been mainly posting the new versions on twitter. The game is currently on version 0.9 and currently working on it at the moment! I took a couple year haitus from the project.

    I'll update the base post too. I'll be honest I didn't think that anyone else actually played it.
     
    use dive to get past the small body of water in route 13. also if you haven't already download and play the new version. If you don't have dive then you need to complete the event within Passing Cave and Spring Pass.
     
    cause back when i first started the project I didn't like megas. The shiny rates are slightly boosted overall and hidden abilities can be obtained towards the end of the story.

    Hello I really enjoy your rom hack but I had a few questions. Which gen do you use for the learn set ? Also I am stuck. I just got my third badge and I'm lost.

    Yo thanks, its the gen 6 moveset, everything is gen 6 since that was the latest gen when i started working on the game. You got a phonecall from professor hazel telling you to go back to the lab since a package has arrived for you there, it will contain surf that you can use to cross the narrow water just below Gravelstoke city.

    Ok good to know I literally just downloaded the 0.9 version and wondered about the nature mints, as I got an outstanding set of IVs on a bulbasaur just now but it has a hasty nature rather than a bold nature. Now I dont have to waste any more time and get to playing.

    Where are the mints just as a heads up?

    At the moment they are only in the post game area of the battle frontier. I will be going back and scattering them through the region once I make more progress on the post game content in a later update.
