[Theory] Ancient Humans and Pokemon - Electric Types

I'm just thinking - how would a world advance with pokemon? One idea being electric pokemon - did they come before or after humanity discovered how to create and harness electricity? What would happen when a hallmark of modern society could be accomplished in ancient times with just taming an electric type pokemon? Food goes in, electricity comes out. Would mankind have lightbulbs before any idea of what proper sanitation is?

Such a question is way too advanced for the Pokemon universe lol.

I mean, that's got me thinking for sure haha. They definitely wouldn't be able to harness it until a certain point in history still I think, probably wouldn't even know what it could do for a while. On that subject though, I wonder if people used fire Pokemon to light candles, fireplaces etc before the invention of a light? This debate is pretty deep tho lmao.
