Finally. After booting the game on your four systems and wasting time tinkering with each others' houses and exploring the weird hobbies that you each have, you've made it. You've finally entered, The Medium. This is where the bulk of our story will occur, and the point from which things will truly begin. Your goal is the same as the one that your gods of Earth C pursued in their quests of self-realization - finish your session of SBURB, and create a new world. Bring your timeline back from the brink of irrelevance, and create a space for yourselves to become the new canon.

Next up is the same thing that's next for any successful entry into the Medium. Build. Build up your homes, fight back the Dersite Agents and their Underlings, and find yourselves before you reach the Monarchs and finally the battlefield. Your quests have already been laid out in front of you, all you have to do is find out what they mean to you. But for right now, you should probably check that notification that's blinking on your screen. It might just be important.

You look at the ruins that is now your house, your Mom nowhere in sight. You look around the once nicely organized house, feeling a sense of sadness, sadness that isn't yours. It's Skylar's. This was her house, and your Moms more than it ever was truly yours. You don't have a connection to this place, your mother, your home. You were very rarely actually here after all, but yet, you sigh. You make it a point to shove Skylar's sadness way to the back of your headspace, before making a deliberate turn to the garden, you know it's still intact, and you know it's the only place that ever was truly yours.

===> LOOK AT YOUR GARDEN.

Your garden. Your...garden. It's the only place that's allowed to go to disarray. You haven't been out in such a long time, and with you as the sole caretaker, almost everything has died...again. The roses, daises, forget-me-nots a hull of their former self, you know you couldn't bring those back if you tried. Even your drought tolerant plants, had suffered. You stubbornly wipe away your tears that had been spilling down your cheeks, as you could at least save those. You turn on the sprinkler system, and then you set your eyes on the garden shed.​





===> GO TO THE SHED.

You know what you have to do...but you can't. You stand, paralyzed with anxiety and fear. You know now you need a weapon, you need your shovel, but you can't get it. You just...can't.​





===>...WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

You have fished your trusty old CELLPHONE out of your pocket, the shed can be ignored for a little while longer.​
