Using a Gameshark to hack into a Gameboy or GBA game will work, but transferring data to another system will cause it to foul up. The simple reason is due to the change in format.
Couldn't be more wrong. Codes generate a monster. If you generate the monster with all of the qualities as a legitimate one, it will appear to be legitimate -- not even Nintendo could tell.
The coding you used to generate the Pokemon is there in the same form but doesn't get changed over like the built-in code does. The reason for this is because the GCube only looks at what it recognizes and doesn't recognize the hex used to create the creature, because it uses a different hexing system.
If you used a GCube Gameshark, it might work, but that would be the only way...
Wrong again. If you generate the codes correctly, then when you transfer the monsters to Coliseum, in effect, you are trading the same "legitimate" monster. No errors should occur.
However, if you make one of the folloiwng errors, then a GBA pak will not be able to transfer its monsters to Coliseum:
> Jirachi without "fateful encounter."
> Mew or Deoxys without the obedient bit
> monster with over 510 EV total
> You used the wrong code format, and corrupted your save-game data.
Make sure to use the proper code format for the device you have. If you're using AR v3, then select Ar v3 on the drop-down list. Do not use GSA version codes if you have an upgraded GSA (now an AR).
