A lot of people didn't know that because Pokemon was shown here before Digimon, but it was Digimon that was created first in Japan before Pokemon. Pokemon didn't neccessarily copy Digimon...they may have gotten a few ideas from it, but I don't think they really mean to copy the anime. I mean look, if you've seen enough animes, you'll notice that some are similar in their own ways, but not completely the same.

yeah i prefer pokemon to digimon but......
 
I actually don't favor one over the other at all. After I learned long ago that Digimon came before Pokemon, I accepted the fact that they are both superior over each other in different ways.
 
yeah i guess but pokemon has i think been more popular than digimon because all the people on digimon on every series are repeating each others types like computer nerds (forgot thier names) and so on
 
Yup and plus, Pokemon is more kid friendly. I think that's what they were thinking when they made Pokemon, something that would get mostly younger children to watch it. But also, in the original Japanese episodes, there were a lot of violence and little things like that.

Anyways, about Digimon. My favorite human character ish Kari and I used to like Sora :3

I think Zoey is more closely related to Mimi because their personality seems very similar to me. They are both like outgoing.
 
that's what i thought first but i added in sora because zoey said she didn't have like any friends and so did sora not have much??? am i talking bout the right person here???
 
True, Zoey is kinda like a combination of the two. Sora was basically like the loner of the show, she was actually the first one to split up from the team in the first season, but she helped others out. She did mention she didn't have many friends as well. Actually, it's not because she didn't have friends because she couldn't make any, but it was because she had to help her mom with her shop
 
yes that's like an example of creating one characters type and creating others just like it after
 
Yup. A lot of anime characters are like that, especially those ones that have more than one seasons with different characters >o
 
i think that it's like a bit stupid repeating the same types and why not come up with different ones
 
I dunno...try mailing the creators and finding out. I believe it's because there are way too many anime now and it's hard for them to get creative for every little thing. I mean come on, if you look at it, the creators have to be creative of how the characters look like, what their voices should sound like, what the storyline is, making good enough for it to become popular so many people will watch the anime and other reasons. It's not like they are God, they can't make everything different and perfect @____@;

Heh ^^;; but I'm not exactly correct. I am just stating my opinion of what I've seen. I can only infer that my opinion is most likely correct based on the fact that I've seen a good deal of anime to point out the differences and such.
 
yeah i've seen alot too but you've probaly seen more than me by a few years i'm guessing but your opinion seems correct enough
 
Yeah, I've been watching anime since I was eight. Well, anyway, Digimon...I believe TK and Kari make a kawaii pair n_____n
 
yeah i've been watching both pokemon and digimon for a while too they both were my fav's back then
