'Tis the season to be jolly, fala lala la, la la la la

Well the season is over, the month is over, and so is the contest! Now all that's left is the judging.

Each of the entries started off with 10 marks, and, after some discussion between mazilwolf and I, we deducted marks off from features of the entry that had a negative impact upon it's appearance.

The Entries

Allstories - 7.5/10

This piece of pixel art is a credit to your skill, evident through the high quality of it. However, the tree's shading seems inconsistent and irregular, and the fireplace isn't brightened from the fire in front of it. Also, while you did depict a fireplace and a Christmas tree, wishing for someone to die takes away from that, hence your score.

Frostfur - 7/10

It's a lovely piece that illustrates a well known Christmas tradition. But even though it's a quality piece of scratch work, we feel that you should have put more effort into shading and the outline so to give it a more 3D appearance.

Poke'master W-T - 4/10

Hmm, well it's a nice attempt, and we give you some credit for some attempt at scratchwork - but this was pulled off poorly. The hat has no shading, and the outline needs some work, and the beard is an attempted extension of Hypno's mane, also without shading. Moreover, you removed the shading on the hands and feet, further bringing you down.

Dark Lucario - 7/10

Well it's quite well done. The drawing of Santa's outfit, including the hat, was pulled off with some demonstration of skills, with no glaringly obvious faults. However, it's pretty mediocre, but we feel that you can develop and enhance your skills and produce better and more complex pieces with practice.

NekroBoi - 5.5/10

Hmm, well it's a decent recolour as far as recolours go, but that's all it is really. And while you named it a Christmasaur, it's only relevance to Christmas is 2 out of the 3 recognised holiday colours, the third being green - maybe you should have left some green on there then?

Arcanine Fan 101 - 6.5/10

Hmm, well it's evident that you have some skill from your custom hat, however, your use of shading throughout the entry detracts from it. You didn't use enough on the tail, and you used too much on the hat. Also, besides the hat and colours, it doesn't have much relation to the theme.

Dragonfree - 8.5/10

Your excellent use of lighting and depiction of shade really makes this piece stand out. The scratch work is incredible too, but we feel that further reference to Christmas would have helped your entry.

Uchiha 1337 - 7/10

Munchlax looks really jolly there, and the Christmas theme is fairly well conveyed. A little shading on the lines would have been nice though. Good work anyway.

Samson - 9/10

Definitely an amazing piece here. The Santa in the sleigh looks amazing, and yet you even included an incredibly detailed Delibird as well. Excellent work.

Uzumaki Kaen - 6.5/10

Well it shows a large amount of skill through the use of various shading techniques, and the quality is impressive, as well as the unique style. However, it shows only a small amount of reference to the Christmas theme.

Guys. Please. A host of a contest posts the results the following month after, since it would last until the end of the past month, and judges would need time to look at each entry.

Presents = Part of the Christmas Hype, and I never understood your theme as 'CHIRSTMAS' but as 'Gifts' So I feel that my entry was related to the theme you made the most clear.

We understood your representation of the theme of Christmas, however, we felt that you could have displayed Christmas in your entry a bit more prominently.

As for confusion in concern to the contest, you were free to post them in the discussion thread - we would of gladly tried to help you.

But eh, it's all over now.

As for your entry, we were confused at to whether or not it was a a DP edit, but we concluded that it wasn't one, probably cause you edited it so much.

Also, why is Allstories name is in MUCH smaller letters then the other two, if there is going to be a difference in the text sizes second place would a bit more smaller then first (more then it all ready is), and allstories would be the smallest.

The text sizes were 2, 3 and 4 for Allstories, Dragonfree and Samson respectively. Allstories name was the smallest, but maybe you got confused as Samson's name is of shorter length than the other two.

But I believe I fixed it up now.
