I'm antagonistic and so I pray when I feel the need to believe there is a divine being, although reading the Gita randomly, I've found that it is possible for Krsh'na to exist. There are far less contradictions in there than in the bible.
 
I don't pray because I don't really believe in God, but there have been times where I've panicked and prayed because it was the only thing I could do. It was more like when someone knocks on wood or throws salt over their shoulder.
