Never saw a Breeding thread. Here goes:
NO TROLLING AND/OR INAPPROPRIATE TOPICS.
You would expect some "wild posts" in a breeding thread.
(: Simply this thread is to talk about breeding. In this thread you can:
So how do you breed Pokemon?
First, you go to the designated town/route.
Monster
Dragon
Ground
Bug
Plant
Water A
Water B
Water C
Indeterminate
Fairy
Humanshape
Mineral
No Egg
List_of_the Pokemon in the Egg_Groups
Now you wait for the Pokemon Daycare-man to:
You have now obtained an Egg.
Now what do I do with an Egg.. lol.
Don't worry, when you have an Egg, just walk/ride bike/run around in-game to hatch it. The average amount of steps you need to hatch an Egg is around 5,000 (1k~10k). An easier way (this doesn't work in R/S though), is to have a Pokemon with the abilities in your party:
When it is hatched you have your Pokemon. Your Pokemon cannot be soft-reseted for different stats (IV/nature/characteristic/ability). It is set once you get the egg.
Congratulations on hatching the egg! :D The Pokemon is now Level 5 (R/S/E), or Level 1 (D/P/Pt/HG/SS).
Why do we even breed.. lol waste time.
Breeding is for many reasons:
Inheriting IVs
Pokemon randomly gain IVs from parents. So for example, if you have a Level 54 female Wurmple with 31 IVs for all stats, breeding with a Level 54 male Wurmple with 31 IVs for all stats, you probably end up with a Level 1 Wurmple with 31 IVs in quite a few stats. You can control up to two IVs inherited in HG/SS by giving the following to the Pokemon while they are breeding so the baby Pokemon will inherit the IV(s):
Inheriting Natures
Give your female breeding Pokemon an Everstone to hold before it breeds. Now breed it. Your baby Pokemon should have the same nature as the Pokemon that was holding the Everstone. Quite simple.
Inheriting TM/HMs
Basically, your baby Pokemon gains the moves of any TM/HMs that your Male parent knew, of course your baby Pokemon has to be compatible with the move for it to learn it.
Inheriting Egg Moves
Breed a Pokemon, with the male Pokemon knowing "Egg Moves". Egg Moves are a list of specific moves for each Pokemon to learn when it breeds with a Pokemon in it's Egg Group(s) that knows a certain move, it will pass to the baby Pokemon.
In HG/SS, about each Pokemon (excluding some) learns certain moves just by breeding. Ex. In HG, an Eevee bred with a Ditto is a Level 1 Eevee that knows Tackle, Growl, and a move it doesn't normally know at Level 1, Detect.
Also to get certain moves, you msut Chain Breed. This is breeding with a Pokemon (that is compatible with your targeted baby Pokemon's egg group and the egg group of the Pokemon with the desired Egg Move(s)) with your Pokemon (your desired baby Pokemon) after that Pokemon bred with another Pokemon (that had the Egg Move(s)) to get Egg Moves from a Pokemon in another Egg Group. Sorry if this paragraph sounds so confusing. ._."
Egg Moves List w/ Male parents knowing the move
Egg Moves List w/out Male parents knowing the move
Inheriting Parent Moves
Pretty much just breed two of the same Pokemon, and your baby Pokemon will learn the basic moves (excluding tutor moves) when it hatches.
Getting Certain Pokemon
This is another reason why you might want to breed.
Igglybuff, Pichu, Cleffa, Smoochum, Elekid, Magby, Azurill, Wynaut, Tyrogue, Mime Jr., Happiny, Munchlax, and Bonsly all are only obtainable by breeding it's Evolutions. After Tyrogue, you need Incense items given to the parent to result in those baby Pokemon.
And that sums up the basics of breeding! Please correct me if I made errors, or tell me to include things, I kind of rushed near the end. TwT"~ Hope you enjoy.
Although I am not a master, I bred for a loong time. Still breeding currently for that PERFECT Pokemon!

(: Simply this thread is to talk about breeding. In this thread you can:
- Have Fun (:
- Talk about Eggs
- Talk about Pokemon Egg groups
- Where they breed
- Talk about the Pokemon that breed
- Talk about Egg moves
- Etc. o-o"
So how do you breed Pokemon?
First, you go to the designated town/route.
- R/S/E: West of Mauville City
- D/P/Pt: Solaceon Town
- HG/SS: Route 34
Monster
Dragon
Ground
Bug
Plant
Water A
Water B
Water C

No Egg
List_of_the Pokemon in the Egg_Groups
- All groups have breed-able Pokemon except for No Egg. In this group you will find legendary Pokemon like Articuno and Mesprit.
- You need a female Pokemon and a male Pokemon (the female Pokemon is what the egg will be when it hatches), and also they have to be the same level and egg group.. or if you have a Ditto, that can breed with any of the groups above No Egg, even genderless Pokemon! Ditto is also useful since you can have a Ditto and a male Pokemon, and the result will be the male Pokemon. Another reason why Ditto is so useful is since Ditto's level doesn't have to match the other Pokemon's level.
Now you wait for the Pokemon Daycare-man to:
- R/S/E: Be one step down under the wooden fence.
- D/P/Pt: Facing right, you can also check on Poketch app (to get this talk to the man sitting down in the Day Care house).
- HG/SS: Facing left, calls you on PokeGear (if he doesn't call you, talk to him and he will give you the option of calling you or not).
You have now obtained an Egg.
Now what do I do with an Egg.. lol.

- Flame Body (Magmar, Slugma, Magcargo, Magby, Magmortar)
- Magma Armor (Slugma, Magcargo, Camerupt)
When it is hatched you have your Pokemon. Your Pokemon cannot be soft-reseted for different stats (IV/nature/characteristic/ability). It is set once you get the egg.

Breeding is for many reasons:
- Hassle of catching a rare Pokemon again
- Save Pokeballs
- Inheriting IVs
- Inheriting Nature
- Inheriting TM/HMs
- Inheriting Egg Moves
- Inheriting Parent Moves
- To get certain Pokemon
- For a hard-to-be-caught Pokemon to be in a Pokeball.. lol.
- FOR THE FUN OF IT!
