Okay so earlier on I was trying to rng a shiny adamant deerling. The thing is, I keep missing the seed (i guess thats what it is) by only a few frames each time. This is the first time I've tried to do it properly after reading this super helpful guide, but I cannot for the life of me get my deerling to be shiny. Any ideas why I'm missing it by <10 frames? Might just rng a normal coloured flawless one instead :<

I had problems RNGing lately but I didn't give up and I eventually got this:

Tyche, the seed is the time you need to hit. The target frame is the frame you are aiming for. Do you know your starting frame and the number of chatters you need to do? Are your ID/SID entered properly? There's many more things that could wrong but I'll leave it at that for now.

I didn't mean seed I was tired, I meant I keep missing my target frame by like less than 10 each time. No idea how.

edit: I calculated how many chatters I needed to do to hit the shiny one, and each time I hatched it it would be like 3 ahead of the target or 2/3/4/5 behind. I tried it for almost 2 hours.

I decided to do no advances for my first try at my ID to see what the shift was, but I ended up getting my ID. ♥

Try finding your initial frame. The first time you found it you may have had bad luck and hit the wrong Timer0. Also, to be 100% sure you are hitting the correct seed and getting the correct initial frame, input the parents IV's into the reporter so that you know what characteristic the inital frame has (to see how to do it you can find it in the guide on the second post in this thread).

I'm trying to, I guess it just takes a bit to get it right. I was one frame behind my shiny ><
