Thank you! Hmm, now I have to decide what to shape shift in xD What did you have in mind? A Pokemon or a different appearance or soemthing in that direction?

Either a different person. (Maybe a Team Falling Sun Member as a disguise?) Or a Pokemon. (Maybe a Ghost Pokemon that could scare people?)

Its overall your choice. ;]

I fix my one and i did my best in this much time sorry if i am doing to much posting if i do not get in

Name: Kat Hanson
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Kat stands at about 5'3 in pink tennis shoes. Her long blue jeans accentuate her legs and hips leading up to her bright pink t-shirt with a little blue cat head emblem placed in the middle. Her face is narrow, making her lips, nose, and eyes look slightly larger and cuter. Her bangs fall to her brow, her reddish-brown hair parted slightly to the right to reveal a high forehead and falling down her back below her shoulders.

Personality:
Kat has a very shy personality. She usually retreats into books and comics and games to escape the real world. These actions might seem snotty at first, but when you get to know her, it just proves that she is very introverted. She's tried acting more extroverted, but her poor acting skills worked against her and she ended up stumbling over her words and making herself an even bigger fool. She's a sweet girl once you get to know her, but she's often clumsy, and full of useless trivia.

History:
Kat has grown up as an average child with a mother and a sister. She's always had trouble with making friends and often retreats into books and imagines herself in worlds that are not her own. She's made a couple of very good friends and they stick with her like glue. They drag her along to events a lot.

Pokemon:
Arcanine

Gender: Male

Moves:
Will-o-Wisp
Hidden Power
Fire Blast
Roar

History: Arcanine has been with Kat since she was a child, and really the best friend she has ever had. The strong, dependable dog pokemon has been with her through thick and thin, and he feels as though he can understand her. She, on the other hand, can be a little oblivious to signs of interaction or affection.

Katachu: Your SU was a bit short, but I liked some of your details, and your character. It was your RP Samples that really saved you! They're amazing! You are ACCEPTED!
Your Legendary Guardian: Mewtwo
Your Special Power: Able to make clones of yourself
Limitation: Only up to 5 clones at a time, and only every 30 minutes.

orangejediman: It's still not good. Your battle in your RP Sample was way too short, with no details, really. Im sorry, but you are still DECLINED.

what about me i fixed my one

May I reserve the last spot please? This looks yummy!

duil: To be completely honest, I didn't see any difference. By the way, what you put was not an RP Sample, thats a story. An RP Sample would be with dialogue and action. Look at the other SUs for reference. Sorry, you are DECLINED once again.

King!: You are reserved! You have 24hrs to put up an SU. ;]

i give up sorry about posting for noing.

Dude! This is a role play! We expect you to spend more than a minute creating your post. Actually give your characters life! Don't just half-ass your post. It looks bad and you won't get accepted into any good RPs, and the more you complain about not getting accepted, the less anybody watching this is going to want to accept you in any future RPs either. This is about creating a compelling story to keep people interested enough to post again.

MY SU

Name: Solomon Creed

Gender
: Male

Age
: 18

Appearance: Very tall and although he has a very well developed muscle structure he appears to be very gangly and thin. Most of the time he will be leaning forward a bit while he walks but on the rare occasions on which he does stand straight he is roughly 6'4, a very tall height that coupled with his weight of 203 lbs actually makes him a generally large man. He has long black hair that covers most of his excluding his wide smile. His grin is probably one of his most memorable features, it's very wide and is almost hypnotizing. He eyes, when you can actually see them, are a very very light blue that almost looks gray. Under his smile is a small patch of hair on his chin covering the base of it and stretching to his lip and his grin. On his right arm up near the shoulder blade is a tattoo of a Cubone skull and crossbones that few people aside from Solomon know about.

As far as an outfit goes Solomon has a simple yet unique style. He has blue jeans with several tears and cuts that he acquired through his journeys which are held up by his black leather belt that has the ancient Unown language etched across it saying his families motto; " Know your past so you can make your future." He wears a tank top covered by a large black trench coat like jacket that stretches down to the back of his knees that has a hood coming off the back. On his head he wears a hat similar to a deputy hat only this one is black and has a pair of Go Goggles on it.

Personality: Solomon has a genius level IQ and if you speak to him this becomes highly relevant. The only reason most people would think he is an idiot is how black his humor is and how he seems to come off as an average... Well maybe no so average guy... Solomon sort of has a bleak outlook on existence but will keep it to himself unless provoked to speak about it or when he is upset. He believes that although the world is an amazing place the existence of life in he infinite universe is so unimportant and because coupled with that time is relevant meaning that it is only truly an illusion to keep the mind sane that existence is truly a mistake. While to most this may seem like a negative quality if you look into it it could only be a positive, it forces him to take interest in the random occurrences that created everything and take a special interest in the legendary Pokemon who helped create and maintain the world. He also wonders why, if there are Pokemon to keep the earth in check why are there humans at all?

Solomons relationships can only work one way or another, either the person he's meeting thinks hes completely insane or think he's a genius and respects him, either way it doesn't matter to Solomon, deep down he truly wishes to be called a little of both. He can be very blunt sometimes or will find a creative way to spin a subject as to manipulate what exactly is being talked about in order to make it relevant to his interests or get the answers he is looking for. He is kindly and gentle and tries his best to exhibit this although it can sometimes come off as an awkward statement or behavior.

History: Solomon was born in Solaceon Town into a family of cave explorers and ruin experts. For years his family had led some of the worlds most famous expeditions. His grandfather was actually the first person to witness and sketch an image of the ancient Unown language that cover cave walls and ruins alike. At the age of nine Solomon followed his father into Mount Silver a cave that, until recently contained no signs of any ancient civilizations but their had been a discovery by an elderly man named Red who informed Solomons father immediately. The ruins were baffling and helped researchers become so much closer to the humans ancient ancestors. During the expedition though, Solomon became lost and began a frantic search that lasted 4 days. When they finally found him he was curled up in a corner deep deep inside the ruins holding a Large red Pokemon and had a scrap of paper covered with translations in front of him. The images they had found Solomon near had been exactly what they were hoping to find, a story of why the ruins were built and which Pokemon it had been built for.

For years Solomon refused to talk to anyone aside from Forge, the Magby that had hatched from the egg that kept him warm. This behavior would remain the same for several year to come until Solomons father was going to leave for another expedition. Solomon wanted to prove he could join his father without becoming lost and so he proclaimed aloud to his father "Take me please!" During this expedition Solomon had stayed with the group of researchers and carried the supplies along with him. He spoke when spoken too and eventually over time began opening up. Ruins slowly became his connection to people and only recently on his eighteenth birthday Solomon had taken over for his father as the lead ruins researcher among his group of colleagues. He and his Magmortar, Forge together explore the ruins of the world unlocking the secrets of the past.

History: Solomon discovered Forges egg lying unattended in the ruins and when he picked it up he realized the warmth that it gave off, not only could it keep him warm but the Pokemon inside must have still been alive. Even after Solomon left the cave he took the egg with him and when it hatched the Pokemon that was inside became his best friend. Forge has followed Solomon on every one of his expeditions and is his partner in crime.
Personality: Forge is very bold and outgoing, he always has a grin on his face and is a fierce battler when the time is needed.

Hope this is good enough, I tried to be original.. And we've already spoken about the other details if I do end up being accepted.

Name: Jazmine Rose Torzela
Age: 15
Gender: Female

Personality: Jazmine is a "forward-moving" person. She enjoys trying new things and exploring new places. She HATES cheating and will punish those who DO cheat. She is very afraid of heights and on the downside; Jazmine can be a little (Or a lot) impatient. She is caring to those she is close with, but when it comes to evil-doers, Jazmine will put her foot down. Jazmine is an encouraging friend, and a good sport when it comes to not only battling, but other games too. She isn't very strong, but she can run fast. Jazmine is friendly towards new people, and loves to help out in almost any situation. Though, Jazmine is a little insecure due to her parents being away for so long(See History). She enjoys watching battles, as well as being in them, but her main goal is becoming the top coordinator.

Appearance: Jazmine has dark brown hair that goes down to about her chest and curls at the end. Her head is a circle shape and she has deep blue eyes. Her nose is small and centered on her head. Her lips are a pink-red color and her skin is a tanned color. She stands 5'7" and weighs 128 pounds. She wears a yellow hoodie with a pink heart on it, and dark blue jeans that cover her black and white, worn-out, tennis shoes. She wears an orange, plain, t-shirt underneath the hoodie. Lastly, Jazmine has a yellow bag that she carries on her shoulder, with the same heart on it. Most of her height comes from her long legs, and she has long arms too. At formal occasions, Jazmine wears a yellow dress that goes down to her knees, and matching yellow shoes. As an alternative outfit, Jazmine will usually wear a yellow striped tang-top, with matching yellow pants. In the cold, Jazmine wears a yellow coat, with her usual jeans, and yellow snowboots.

History: When Jazmine was young, she lived in the Kanto region, a great place for her parents, Debbie and Todd, because they were researchers. One day, about a week before Jazmine was to leave on her journey through Kanto, her parents had to leave on a research trip, promising they'd be back in a week so that Jazmine could start her journey.

Jazmine was sent to live with her grandparents in Hoenn, for a week. After a week, Jazmine's parents didn't return. Jazmine waited for another month and her parents still never returned. Jazmine waited and waited, but her parents never came. Each day, her grandma told her to keep her head up and her parents would be back. Now, three and a half years later, Jazmine was about to take the journey of her life, befriending Pokémon and exploring new places. She travelled through Hoenn, raising Pokémon, and collecting ribbons, along with her main Pokémon partner, Pyu, a Pichu.

Along her journey, Pyu accidentally swallowed a chipped off piece of Everstone, making it so she could never evolve. Jazmine met a young boy named Sam, who shared her exact birth date—July 18th. She placed second in the Grand Festival, losing to her biggest rival, Peter, who had grown up in Littleroot with her.

Then one night, when Pokemon were being stolen at an alarming rate, Jazmine had a dream......

Pokemon: Pyu the Pichu; Pyu has been with Jazmine and her family ever since she was born(Jazmine). The two have been on a long journey, in which Pyu accidentally swallowed an Everstone bit, hence, Pyu can't evolve. Ever. Despite this disadvantage, the HUGE bond that Jazmine and Pyu share makes up for it. Jazmine can understand what Pyu is saying through emotion.; Main moves: Sweet Kiss, Charm, Swift, Thunderbolt, Iron Tail Others: Volt Tackle, Reversal, Signal Beam, Double Team, Nasty Plot

Other: I have used Jazmine before, in Pikalover10's great RP, New Hoenn. Unfortunately, we made it to Oldale town before we stopped. Jazmine is (my first) and favorite RP character. Although she REALLY met Sam(played by sasuneuchiha), and Peter in NH, and Pyu ACTUALLY swallowed the stone, most other things are exaggerated. Most of this is from the old SU, when Jazmine was 13, and I was a "un-advanced" (as if I'm "advanced" now. xD) RP'er. It was my first SU EVER. If you wish for more detail, please ask. Thank you!

This is a very tough decision!! I'm not sure if I should accept King, or Sumner! (It was kinda a contest thing, because you both asked for the spot, and I wanna be fair.

Remember, it's quality, not quantity!

Lemme consult a few people before I decide, kk?

Not in the funk right now but I see what I can master. Going to take awhile to get into this character. haha

Also taking a guess at the setting.

IC:

"What the heck," said a boy lying on the ground with his eyes closed. An aching headache seem to be rumbling in his head.

Wake up!

"What the heck again?" said Sean. He could feel his body slowly moving but his eyes were still closed. His whole body felt as if it was stiff and sluggish. "What is wrong with this bed! It feels like rocks." Sean then laughed and said, "Well that what happens when you take free beds from a pokemon center."

Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! said a high pitch electronic voice. Damn it! Wake up!

Sean at once bolted up and looked up with wide eyes. Soon shades of green and brown filled his vision as Sean realized he was in some sort of forest. "What the heck what?"

Sean looked around as he sat on the ground. He nodded and said, "Oh ok. Well this in interesting. Very very." Sean saw that he was surrounded by plant of many different sizes and types. Most of them were types that Sean had never seen in his life. He sat on the ground and could feel how cold and hard it was.

"It seems like the pokemon center has finally banned me from their place and has kicked me out to the curb of a forest." nodded Sean. He then closed his eyes and said, "Well they could have at least woke me up." Sean reach out to his belt and began to feel around for his pokeballs. Suddenly Sean froze seeing that he only had one pokeball. "Now this sucks. I only have one pokeball. Those people took my pokeballs."

Soon a red color pokemon floated in front of Sean. Light electronic giggles could be heard and soon a voice was heard in Sean's head. Yeah! They like so did that! Then like boom!

Sean looked at his Rotom and said, "Oh so I have you. Awesome! Now I guess you have no idea where we are?"

Awesome yes! said the voice. Still no idea Sean.

Sean laughed and said, "Oh, for a minute I thought I heard you reply back to my question. Hmm...seems like I have hit a new level of insanity."

A new one? I thought you were already there. laughed the voice in Sean's head. At the same time, Rotom let out an electronic sounding laugh.

Sean raised an eyebrow and said, "Umm...Rotom? Are you answering me?"

Don't I always. I always answer you, said the electronic voice in Sean's head.

"As in using words," said Sean.

Words. Heck no. LIke you would understand what I been saying. Wow! I keep being surprise by the saneness of this guy. Even after so many years. laughed the electronic voice.

Sean nodded and laugh back. "Yeah. You right." Sean took a deep breath and said, "Well I guess for now we should try to find out where we are at. Strange that they pokemon center would have done what they did." Sean laughed and sighed. "Poor fools."

OOC:

I hope this is something you expected from a first post.

charizard_maa: Good post! There are many different approaches to the first post, there is no "right" and "wrong". I love Rotom's personality! Keep going. ;]

Um....(oh, and, I'm in a juice and java for a bit)...is there a chapter? Sorry, I'm a bit off right now.....

1: More Than Just a Dream

OOC: Finally it's time to get this show on the road! Here's my first post!

"Ow…my head…"

Chocolate brown eyes flickered open as the tall, lithe young man slowly regained consciousness. He sat up slowly, mindful of a throbbing headache, and raised a hand to his temple. "What happened…?" he asked no one in particular. As reality came back into focus, he realized that his other hand was touching sand, and a salty breeze swept his raven-colored bangs out of his eyes. "A…beach?" He shadowed his eyes with one hand and squinted as the sun beat down mercilessly from a blue, cloudless sky. Crystal blue water lapped onto the shore in gentle, rhythmic waves along the deserted beach. The young man chuckled to himself. "Well, if I had to wake up in the middle of nowhere, at least I have a nice view."

Just then, a roar sounded from behind him, along with an unfamiliar male voice. Anton, thank goodness you're all right! The young man, apparently named Anton, turned his head only to sigh in relief when he recognized who was approaching. Griffith, his faithful Charizard, lumbered across the sand to his side and lowered his head to give his trainer a good onceover.

"Griffith, don't worry. I'm fine," Anton said, waving his Pokemon away and getting to his feet. "But who was that speaking just now?"

Griffith gave Anton a perplexed look. You mean you understood me?

Anton gave a surprised start and whirled to face his partner in bewilderment. "Hold on now, that was YOU? Since when can you speak inside my head?"

I'm…not sure, Griffith replied in genuine confusion. I don't even know how we got here.

"Yeah, last I remember, we were at the Pokemon Center in Sandgem Town," Anton said. Then he remembered. "Oh right! That stupid dream again!" He snapped his fingers together in annoyance. "I thought it was just indigestion the first time."

Griffith cocked his head to one side. You mean that dream about all the Legendary Pokemon?

"Yeah, they were saying something about destiny and special powers and some other mumbo jumbo that I don't even remember," Anton muttered. He crossed his arms over his chest as he racked his brain trying to remember. "Then while I was dreaming, there was this freaky bright light, and that's the last thing I remember before waking up here." He took stock of his surroundings again and raised one eyebrow. "Speaking of which, where is 'here' anyway?"

You're in the Sun Region, Anton Chesnokov.

For the second time that day, Anton gave a surprised start. "Holy…! Now who in the world was that?" He pinned Griffith with an accusing look.

It wasn't me! Griffith objected, holding up his front claws in a plea of innocence.

The same deep male voice spoke inside Anton's head again. Do not be afraid, Anton. I am here to help you.

"Who are you?" Anton called. "And how do you know my name?"

I am Lugia, the Pokemon that spoke to you in your dreams.

"Lugia…one of the Legendary Pokemon from Johto…" A thought drifted unbidden through Anton's mind. 'Father…' His hand clenched into a fist seemingly of its own accord. He gave a sarcastic laugh. "So you're the one responsible for those crazy dreams. And I guess you have something to do with why I'm suddenly hearing voices in my head?"

The voices you are referring to prove that your special power has awakened, Lugia answered in that same infuriating calm tone of voice. You have the gift of Telepathy, so now you can hear and speak to any Pokemon with your mind.

Ah, so that's why you can suddenly hear me,
Griffith realized.

"Is that also why I can hear you now, Lugia?" Anton asked. Even though now he knew that he wasn't going crazy, he was still completely confused as to what was going on.

Partly, yes, but there is another reason. I am also your Guardian, so our souls are now connected. An image flickered across his mind's eye, and Anton caught a brief glimpse of the massive, silver-colored Pokemon perched calmly in a dark, underwater cavern, regarding him with a gaze that seemed to pierce to the deepest recesses of his soul. Anton could almost feel a second heartbeat next to his own, along with a strange hum of warmth in his chest. The feeling was both enthralling and unnerving at the same time.

"Okaaaay…so you're my Guardian, I'm suddenly some nutcase telepath, our souls are connected, blah blah blah… Why exactly am I here anyway?"

You, along with six other Pokemon trainers, have been chosen to put a stop to Team Falling Sun and their plot to enslave all Pokemon and subjugate this world, Lugia answered. Here in the Sun Region is where Team Falling Sun makes its headquarters.

"Heh, so I guess the rumors about them were true," Anton mused out loud, thinking back to the reports in Sinnoh of countless Pokemon disappearing without a trace. "And you expect me and six other people to bring down a criminal syndicate like Team Falling Sun? Yeah, okay, whatever you say," he added sarcastically.

You will understand in time, Anton, Lugia replied cryptically. Until then, I am here if you need my assistance. Then his voice fell silent.

Silence pervaded for several moments. "Well that was weird."

Just then, Griffith raised his head and sniffed the air uneasily. Anton, I think we should seek cover. This place is too open for my tastes, and if Team Falling Sun is really that dangerous, then we don't want to be an easy target.

"Yeah, yeah I hear you," Anton replied, running a hand through his messy, windblown hair. "Let's get outta here." Griffith crouched down so Anton could climb onto his back and settle in the space between the Pokemon's shoulder blades. Once he was situated, Griffith lifted his wings and gave several powerful downward thrusts to gain altitude. Within moments, he was flying high above the beach heading inland, giving Anton a spectacular view of the Sun Region.

The Sun Region was unlike any region Anton had ever visited. There were no mountains in sight. Instead, the land was covered with dense forests and rolling plains as far as the eye could see. He could see tiny specks in the distance that indicated the presence of a city, but after Lugia's warning, he was hesitant to enter it.

I wonder… Griffith mused, breaking the silence. Why don't you try using the Telepathy that Lugia mentioned? Being able to communicate silently would give us a strategic advantage in battle.

"Huh? O-kay, here goes nothing." Anton closed his eyes and concentrated. 'So…is it working?'

Rumbling chuffs of laughter emanated from Griffith's chest. Yes, I can hear you just fine. Though I think closing your eyes is going a bit overboard.

Anton opened his eyes and rolled them. 'And here I thought you were the serious one.' Bringing his mind back to the present, Anton looked down and noticed that they were approaching a forest with a dense canopy of green, leafy branches. 'Hey, see if you can land in that forest. That should work as cover.'

Hold on tight. Griffith banked sharply on his right wing and spiraled downward to pass through a gap in the branches. The ground rushed up to meet them, and he back-winged abruptly to land in a small clearing covered with soft soil and leaf litter.

Anton slid off Griffith's back and glanced around the clearing. They seemed to be alone, but what set both their nerves on edge was how utterly quiet it was. No human voices…not even the sound of a single wild Pokemon. The thick, humid air closed around them like a too-thick blanket, and Anton resisted the urge to shrug out of his black leather jacket.

"So…now what do we do?" Anton asked aloud. Unfortunately, he received no answers, only more questions…

OOC: Hope it wasn't too cheesy and that you liked it, KillehKiwi!

((Um.. I'm a little confused.. so first chapter is just getting to the Sun Region? Or are there requirements as to what we should include in our first chapter?))

Rain pelted the windows as the city bus barreled down the road. Sitting a few seats from the back was Kat, leaning against the window, a comic book, warped by water damage, held loosely in her hands on her knees. Her eyes flickered open and shut as she struggled to stay awake. Her clothes were soaking wet and her long, brown hair had matted and then frizzed as it began to air dry. Her eyes and cheeks were red with tears of exhaustion, desperation, and frustration. It had been a hard day for her.

The day had started out badly, waking up and realizing she was half an hour late to class as well as spilling milk on her shirt, causing her to be late for the bus. Class ended up including a pop quiz, on which she had done very badly. None of the questions seemed to make sense, and she had a splitting headache the whole time hindering her from thinking straight. On the way to catching the bus after class, she had tripped and spilled the entire contents of her backpack into a puddle and nearly lost her favorite book in a storm drain.

The book fell off her lap, causing her to jerk upright, hitting her head on a hand rail. It was at this point that she realized she would miss her stop if she didn't pull the cord.

After gathering her things and getting off the bus, a big ball of orange fur caught her eye. Oh no.. not again, she sighed, glancing over in the direction. Her pet arcanine, Ivan, had gotten out again. Such a stubborn dog! She rummaged in her backpack for her pokeballs and ran after the giant canine, calling after him.

Ivan stopped and turned his head in her direction. After wagging his tail twice, he lept and bounded in her direction. Not good. The dog had only just evolved, and he didn't know his own strength yet. He lept at Kat, overwhelming her and causing her to fall backward, hitting her head on the pavement.

(I'm gonna go. I'll add more later)

King!: This is not one of those boring Chapter RPs where you have to wait for the next chapter to be announced. I can't be on every day to announce Chapters, and it's just easier on everyone not to be barred from posting because a Chapter isn't announced. Also, Chapters and what I want to see in those chapters kinda kill the creative flow, because you have to fit all those requirements in, and those requirements are not your ideas. Hope this makes sense!

Silvanarrow: Very nice first post, not cheesy at all! It made me hungry for more! Great use of your Power! You may continue.

Katachu: Ooh, I love it! It's so. . .real! That could actually happen to someone! Great! You may continue! >>Oh, and look at King!'s answer to get yours.<< Also, the first "chapter" is whatever you think is best for that chapter. It's your interpretation! ;]

Kat's eyes fluttered open onto an environment that she didn't recognize. A sleek, black, circular room with her standing in the middle of a ring of green lights. Around one edge of the room, a table with 7 Pokemon sitting at it, the larger, less anthropomorphic ones on the edges, and the smaller ones in the middle.

Kat instantly recognized them as the legendary Pokemon described in school books and myths: Lugia, Shaymin, Deoxys, Latias, Mew, Mewtwo, and Dialga. With her standing in the middle of the room, she almost stumbled back in fear, but to her surprise, she found her feet firmly fastened in their place as if they were glued there.

Do not be afraid, A deep, ominous voice echoed through her ears. The sound around her strangely silent. It did not echo off the sleek walls or give any indication as to where the sound came from. We have appeared to you in desperation. We need your help.

* * *

"So let me get this straight," Kat folded her arms, placing her chin into the palm of her hand and furrowed her brow, "I am one of seven chosen by the legendary pokemon of each region to find out what's happening with the disappearing pokemon around the world, and to restore balance to the universe by saving them?"

The seven legendary pokemon around her glanced at each other before turning back to her, Yes.

"No way!" She waved her arms in an X form across her body while shaking her head, "How can you expect to put so much responsibility on my shoulders? I can't even get up in the morning! How am I supposed to save the world when I can't even save my homework from a little rain?"

We will provide you with all the tools and support that you need. It is understandable that you are afraid, but you have been selected out of the several billion people in the world--

"Why?" Kat cut them off, upset, "What is so special about me that nobody else could perform the same task?" She couldn't think straight anymore. The pain of hitting her head on the sidewalk was starting to drill into her skull, but was being blocked by the psychic powers of her 'guardian,' Mewtwo. It was that uncomfortable buzz that came with numbness.

The answer will come in time, my dear, but you are being called back. We can no longer hold you here. Mewtwo will watch over you and he will return to teach you the basics of your newfound energy.

She felt the entire room begin to fade into blackness. A comfortable feeling of lying on cushions began to surround her back and shoulders. Consciousness began to fade from one existance and emerge into another.

As if being woken from a dream, Kat sat up in bed with a lurch and shouted, "Wait! I still have questions!"

She blinked a few times to find herself lying in bed, with her family hovered over her. A splitting pain seered the back of her head. She flinched as the pain burst forward in full force.
