1-on-1 Spriting Duel

They are both exellent works of art. Well, Shuko has a better overall shape while AHD has better shading skills. BUT, they're both lacking a shadow. Shuko, I looked at your's more carefully and the box has black spots underneath Garfield which shouldn't be there. I suggest you use a darker shade of the box.
For AHD, I can't see the pupil too well, make it a darker shade of gray. Maybe almost black. My decision is currently pending.
 
After this, I'd absolutely looove to duel someone.... XD

Yeah, Armadillo-kun's shading pretty much owns mine, lol. And I agree that I should have put a shadow. :P I considered it, but then I decided against it, since he didn't have one in his... er... aside from the character Shadow, I mean. 0_o I think that might have made sense...

Anyway, whatever the decision is, I had a lot of fun, and that's really all I care about. This piece will go into my vault along with Captain Clefairy. :P

After finally looking at both entries close-up, I've made my decision:

My vote goes to Shuko as well.

Reason:

While both entries are good pieces, the lineart on her piece is smoother than the lineart on Armadillo's entry. The shading on both entries could be worked on, but I had an easier time figuring out the light source on Garfield than I did on Shadow.

I think most other problems have been addressed by others already...

So...there you go. :)
 
Since sign ups are open, can I challenge you now? An example of my work is in my other post on this page. Another example is the sprite of linoone in my signature. It was made from scratch.

ok im going to defy you when the one's that post first than me finish (i love competitions) this is my sprite from bare scratch for my hack but i will use it for this competition too :D *image removed*
