    Allright...once again the anime's name has been changed...first it was Hollywood mew mew, then it got changed back to tokyo mew mew,...and now it's called "mew mew power" wasent that a cathphrase from the manga though?
     
    Ohh, I heard about this. I still don't like the name, but atleast it beats 'Hollywood Mew Mew'. Maybe they'll keep Ichigo and everyone else in Tokyo, and they won't edit out so many things. It would make more sense that way.

    And they're most likely calling it 'Mew Mew Power' so it won't seem too girlie... *sigh* Oh well. I'll be fine with the show AS LONG AS... They don't give the girl characters valley-girl voices, like on Totally Spies! That would annoy me to no end, and it would ruin it.
     
    I agree about the Valley Girl voices. @@ I cringed when I heard the dub Tomoyo (CardCaptor Sakura) talking like that.

    I was surprised to hear the name was changed again, but I'm looking forward to seeing the preview this Saturday. ^___^ I hope it'll be decent, but if there's a lot of changes from the Japanese version I won't know because Mew Mew Power will be my first exposure to the fandom. XD

    Just hope that "Mew Mew Power" is NOT the henshin phrase...

    Oh ya...heres what the line up for the preview thingy is on saturday.

    8.0 - Winx Club
    8.5 - Mew Mew Power
    9.0 - Shaman King
    9.5 - Pirate Tales ( god let that be a typo or something and not OP's dub name)
    10.0 - Sonic X
    10.5 - F-Zero: GP Legends
    11.0 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
    11.5 - Kirby: Right Back At Ya!
     
    GAAH! THIS SATURDAY?!!! 8:30?!!! YAAAAA! Well, it could be worse...Like why don't they just call it: "Medicure Mew Mew"? Well, I'll see the preview..I can't wait til' Mew Mew Power Uncensored hits as a site...

    THIS SATURDAY?!? A PREVIEW?!? O_O I am SO glad that I'm a member of this forum, or else I would not have known that! YAY! I can't wait to see it! *sticks notes about it everywhere in her house* I'm not missing this!

    Anyway... Yeah, I think that they are going to change their names, Sapphire. I don't know what they'll be, but from the ones that I've heard, they stink. They really do. T_T Waah. And I loved Ichigo's name. It fit her perfectly.
     
    Well, I know that few people got their name changed...I'm not sure but I heard from somewhere that Ichigo got changed to marshmellow....change isent that bad. Most kids dont even know what a Ichigo is...though strawberry would be a strange name in american standerds.
     
    Lol, I'll probably end up missing this, but if not, I'll probably check it out. ^_^; I've read the manga, but I haven't seen the original anime. It would certainly be interesting if they changed her name to Strawberry, but chances are they'll either leave it as Ichigo and pronounce it awfully (like with Sakura from CCS) or they'll completely Americanize it. =\ But I must admit - this new title is far better than Hollywood Mew Mew... you have to give them that. x_x;; I'd like it if they kept everything...

    And this... Pirate Tales had better NOT be One Piece. o____o
     
    God...I'm working For Hollywood mm.com on the 1st epi and telling her about crud and I'm recording the script!

    Pirate Tales WILL prrrrooooobably be ONE PIECE....>:(

    I SAW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The preview came on during The Winx Club! (9:30 AM Central time.) I watched over five different shows that I really did not like just to see it, lol.

    It was... Well... They're calling Ichigo 'Zoey'! O__O And Lettuce is 'Bridget', and Mint is 'Corina', and Zakuro is 'Renae', (Or something like that.) and I think that Pudding is 'Peggy'.

    ZOEY?! BRIDGET?! CORINA?! I had hope that they were going to leave the original names, because they changed the title of the show. Oh well. I'll survive. The characters didn't sound too bad; Ichigo had a bit of a valley girl voice, but it was tolerable. And the theme song sounded alright. (They just should have left 'My Sweet Heart'.) Atleast it did look like they kept in the romance. A lot of companies take that sort of stuff out when they're dubbing Anime, just so little kids will like it.

    And it's coming out on September 4th. Oh, and I think that One Piece is apparently getting to keep its name. Lucky for it...

    I know! I cringed when I heard Ichigo say, 'Okay girls, it's time to start the role call!'. Bleh, and Pudding's voice sounded so annoying! I'll just... Be glad that they don't sound like that Clover girl on Totally Spies. They're not extreme valley girls, but it still sounds annoying. I guess that it could be worse.

    And I wonder if they're still leaving them in Tokyo? T_T; I bet they're in Hollywood now.

    *grabs a tank of gasoline and some matches* TO THE... COMPANY THAT RUINED THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!! *jumps into a monster truck and rides off*

    Ehh, I know. I could not believe what they called the aliens. And I'm sort of getting used to the theme song now; I mean, atleast it doesn't sound like the English Cardcaptors theme. O_o That one scares me. The music and everything sounds pretty cute, so I'll get used to it eventually.

    If they had JUST left the original names, then I would honestly be happy. Everything else I can deal with - I just hate seeing Ichigo being called 'Zoe', etc. I can't wait to find out what kinds of names they're going to give Keiichiro, Masaya, Ryou, etc.

    I am writing an e-mail to 4Kids now. They're hearing it from me!
