    Take a look here:

In the platinum pics. There is an unknown hiker and Lucas running to the other side of Canalave. Could it be linked to Arceus which is pictured? Is it actually possible through an event to add such a thing as a character for the event? Thoughts now! All the other stuff is for the gs remakes so yeah.

It's very possible that characters, infact anything, could be added, for the event. Just look at the rotom event, a room was added, where otherwise there would never have been. I don't believe the room was already programmed into the game (just having to be activated of course via wi-fi) but it can be likely, just as well too.

Hmm so someone translated a bit of it(Dorian Black from Bulbaforums:

Yep: in the screenshot, the Hiker just says "There's a myth in Sinnoh about the beginning of the world", but the caption says "When you go to Oreburgh coal mine, you can meet a person who is investigating myths." Working on the rest now.

Wow mystery and suspense. There is more text to translate though so yeah.

The main menu (start menu) has been moved to the lower screen now all those DSi fans can shut up about how its a camera option >.<

also the top left button isnt there which must be the pokedex button which the player in the screenshot does not have yet

Has there been an event for Arceus in Japan yet? My friend had one that she got from her cousin, who got it from someone else... so has the event already happened?

It was a movie event in japan the American event will most likely be TRU (Toys R' Us) I do not know about other countries sadly this is not the Azure flute Arceus it is a lv. 100 Arceus which is just given to you and not caught =\

Not to be rude or anything but infact is two words not one. So it would be in fact NOT infact.

Actually the Arceus has not been handed out yet. But Serebii dug into the game and found the hikers text:

If I had to explain very simply, I study how people came to be.
That could explain why I happen to be in Sinnoh.
In Sinnoh, there is a myth on how the world came into existence.
Investigating that myth may give me insight on the emergence of people.
I found something very interesting soon after arrival.
You may have it, if you'd like."

He then gives you a Flame Plate

"I'm told that Plate was created at the same time as Sinnoh.
The plate I found bears this inscription.
"The rightful bearer of a Plate draws from the Plate it holds"
The rightful bearer, I think, may point to the shaper of this world.
Oh, by the way, I'm only interested in the words and thoughts left behind. Physical artifacts like that Plate don't interest me once I've read them.
I hope we meet again somewhere."
    "Well, hello! We meet again!
After we parted, I went from Oreburgh, to Hearthome, Celestic, then Eterna.
Yes, the town and cities surrounding the foot of Mt. Coronet.
Why the fascination with Mt. Coronet, you may ask?
Well Mt. Coronet happens to be called "The origin of Sinnoh."
I learned many things on my journey. Would you like to hear them?
The way I see it, our world began when the spirit within people was born.
When that spirit came to be, there followed awareness about the world.
Within the newborn spirit, time and space were intertwined as one.
People and Pokémon, too, were but the same presence.
As I understand it, people and Pokémon shared the spirit and awareness.
They should have understood and accepted each other then.
Because they shared the same spirit, people and Pokémon intermingled.
People took the place of Pokéon, and the opposite also held true.
That interpretation could give us an idea about how our world came to be.
A Pokémon is said to have shaped this world.
Could that Pokémon be the physical form of the original spirit?
Hmm... The spirit came to be, and from it, time and space were born...
That seems to point to legendary Dialga, the Pokémon of time, and Palkia, the Pokémon of space...
And they lead back to Arceus, the Pokémon that made them arise.
Isn't this interesting? Would you like to hear more? Yes/No
Oh, there were also Plates, weren't there?
One Plate read "Three beings were born to bind time and space."
Those three beings I read to mean the three Pokémon of the lakes. It's about Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf.
The myth describes how they gave spirit to the world, shaping it.
But it all starts with Arceus, the first. It is known as the Original One.
Oh, by the way, I wrote down the words engraved on those Plates.
I summarized them in a book and donated it to this library,
There it is in that bookshelf. I'd be pleased if you'd read it.
I have to say, I'm glad I came out to Sinnoh.
I suppose I'd better be off in search of new myths in faraway lands.
It would be nice if our paths were to cross again."

And thats all there is to Arceus really.

How do you dig into the game is that like Opening up the game?

I meant he dug into the coding of the game and found the text transcribed it and such.

I don't believe the room was already programmed into the game (just having to be activated of course via wi-fi) but it can be likely, just as well too.

The room was already there, just inaccessible. Just like Newmoon Island, Flower Paradise and Hall of Origin. The hiker is similar to the Regice, Regirock and Registeel caves in Platinum; he only appears if you have an event Arceus in your party.

If the data was obtained through the Wonder Card, then why does trading an event Regigigas (not the Wonder Card) to Platinum unlock the Regis? In fact, since the event took place before Platinum's release, that's the only way to do it. The Regigigas doesn't contain any more data than any other Pokémon.

As for how Serebii got the text, I think he probably just hacked an 'event' Arceus and traded it to an English Platinum, then talked to the man who appears.

I don't care for event Pokemon. I don't watch the anime or movies, and I would never be caught dead in Screaming Toddlers 'r' Us, so they're really isn't anyway for me to get them. I wish they would just put the Pokemon in the game in accessible areas and ship it out.

But I guess that wouldn't fill their coffers, would it? :L

Has no one seriously done this event with Arceus??? After you obtain the Arceus the main appears in the mine and tells you a bit about the legend and then gives you a Flame Plate. You later find him in the libraby and he gives you another palte and tells you more. I thought this was long known.

you can actually do it without getting arceus and all it does is tell you the tale of arceus
