Stripping formatting from posts.

    Is there any possible way to strip certain parts of formatting from posts? It's really quite annoying when people post in bright pink/yellow/grey, and I find it a little irritating as a mere matter of uniformity when people use other fonts (i.e. not using the default font and actually defining another font). I'd like to see the option in the User CP to strip certain areas of formatting (from something like colour all the way up to everything in a post - size, boldness, colour etc. etc.) from all posts on the forum.

    If you look at the far left of both the advanced and quick reply boxes there is this button :
    [PokeCommunity.com] Stripping formatting from posts.

    Highlight the text you want to clear of formatting, then click that button to remove it.

    I don't want to remove formatting from my posts - I want to have an option to always remove formatting from other people's posts. :(

    sorry dude, didn't read properly

    I sorta like how it is tho

    Obviously it wouldn't be something that's compulsory for everyone. Just an option buried somewhere within the User CP. xD;

    This would be useful. Often people using dark themes will post in something like really pale blue, and then it's impossible to read on lighter themes (even if I highlight it - my highlight colour is really pale blue too).

    Fair enough using special formatting for titles, but it's really bothersome in normal posts.

    While it can be a little annoying, I just highlight the text to see what they have said, and that is it.

    That is just the way I deal with it.
    It is a interesting idea, however.

    It's annoying to have to do that every time with a post in bright colours, especially when said person might have posted numerous times in a thread. But there's still the issue Camisado raised with the colour of her highlighting, along with my minor annoyance with fonts.

    As much as I'm in full support of this idea, there's an issue. Most stickies, etc use specially formatted font and it works. It could cause issues with examples where the text is formatted for a good reason, but it's still a viable idea.

    *Votes for this*

    Its a good idea(especially for cap lock idiots) bur then there would be complainers oh gee no freedom. I'm for it cause there would be a lot less ugh and more relief.

    It's not a restriction on what happens to a person posts. Dx It'd be a feature simply to filter what one person only sees.

    I agree that this option is needed because some of the post are difficult to read because of their color.
