Hello members of PokeCommunity. I am here to talk to you about the putrid conditions that we humans are forced, by our own actions, to live in every day. For some reason, most people choose to ignore this, and instead, continue to, in truth, kill themselves. These people hate our planet, most likely unknowingly. And the law of, mostly the United States of America, the world has prevented almost all action done against it, because "it's natural to us" or other wimpy "excuses". There is no excuse for hate, my friends. The evil that we have subjected upon this planet and ourselves will slowly, but surely, wipe us out. In order to make progress, we cannot continue in this environment. We must destroy this one, because it is already too late. Isn't it ironic that, in almost every bad situation we find ourselves in, we do something about it too late? If we want to do something about our living conditions now, it is too late to do it now. We will have to move to , maybe the Moon, or somewhere unpolluted. The people on this earth now are complete idiots. This would have never happened if we hadn't even discovered oil or plastic. Plus, the nature of the male body was not meant to be attracted to non-organic things. But the discovery of sick, evil oil has led to the destruction of our kind. The devil wants us to do this. If you use any kind of fossil fuel, you hate yourself. Isn't it simple? Some people believe that you could just go back in time and change things. If they really did that, then it wouldn't be that way today. We will die for our black, dirty deeds here. Packaging is absolute waste. Anyone who doesn't see that is an idiot. You make pollution making the plastic, then you make pollution burning it up. Simple evilness. To heck with packaging! Isn't it obvious? Oil refineries should be bombed, whether in Canada, Saudi Arabia, anywhere. They are the most evil things in this world. I now bid you farewell until next Earth Day. If it comes.

Please feel free to express your opinions.

lol, well you certainly propose some extreme measures...

But I agree that people are too complacent about it, they seem to love their way of life so much as to sacrifice the air they breathe for it. As I've noticed on this forum and a lot of others, the lack of instituting truly significant reforms in how we impact the environment is rationalized by the idea that it would be "impossible" to sacrifice certain aspects of our standard of living/ lifestyle.

However, I disagree with some of the things you propose....you might want to reconsider advocating violence towards the oil refineries.

If I have random words in bold, my point will be so much more clear!

But seriously, this is pretty stupid. Where would we be if we didn't discover oil and plastic? In the stone age, that's where. We'd still make our tools out of rock and metal. We wouldn't have power, technology, life. Your rant is fundamentally flawed because you say that we hate ourselves if we use oil, yet we use it to enrich our lives. Sure there are some consequences, but that's the way it is.

What I'm for: more sensible usage of our resources and advocating less destructive technology
What I'm against: dropping every technological advancement in the past millennium because it's "harmful." Also, the hypocrisy that was Al Gore's Earth Day presentation (concert?) last year (I think that's the event I'm thinking of, I don't care enough to look it up). I heard there was so much litter that they were cleaning up for about three days.

Without oil, we couldn't have improve our daily living. Without plastic our foodstuffs will be spoiled. The only problem is the way to control and manage our resources.

And you try to bomb the refineries, it'll be more trouble. You don't want that kind of thing in this crisis.

And not all people here in this planets are idiots. lol

My friend, without oil or plastics, we'd be stuck in the stone age. And it looks like you hate yourself as well since the computer you just typed that message on most certainly owes its existence to both oil and plastics, so that would make you a rather large hypocrite.

No one said our sources of energy were the cleanest for our planet, but pretending like we'd be better off without fossil fuels, in terms of our current energy production, is just silly. Yes, we need alternate energy sources, but currently we just don't have the technology to totally rid ourselves of fossil fuel burning.

I love when people call oil sick and evil. It just makes me laugh, because it's sick and evil oil that drives our ENTIRE economy. Sure, let's just not use oil. I guess we'll have to not make cars, houses, or any other necessities either. I'm sure we'll do fine.

Without Plastic, we wouldn't have Video Game Cases. Good luck not sitting on your Pokemon Platnium.

Without oil, well....let's just say have a nice drive to work.

You cant blame obvious morals(Morals as in retarded litering(SP) on 2 natural resources. It's the people that refuse to respect where they live.(Frankly, there are a lot of people like that.) Take a walk around your hood. No one cares about the chip bag on your lawn(Aside from you). What about that cig butt on the school grounds? ENNNT! Nope. What about the dead cat in the street? See when they decide to care? Since when was it just plastic? Or oil? It's the litering(SP again) that kills it. Screw plastic, hit the guy throwing a Sprite bottle on the ground.

I get annoyed with how many people fail to understand situations and blab on about some crap they don't understand.

The use of oil is a great discovery but over the years with the industrialisation of the world we have eaten into this resource with a system of demand to the time now were the supply is becoming much lower than the demand and the prices are soaring.

Our problem? Electricity. Our lives nowadays depend greatly on it. To produce it we just need to turn a giant turbine connected to a motor (generator) but companies and governments have chosen to stick to oil to do this. Now we will live with expensive electricity and heating. I won't even bother mentioning transport and petrol.

Our way forward is nuclear but our world is controlled by corrupt people so...

And again, solar energy is ignored by the smartest of people. It went like this...

"Hey, congress! I have an idea! Let's use the sun for the source for aur energy in the Daytime! That way, at night, electricity bills are lower, and we don't use as much as we normally would! And let's make cars run on this formula, so we don't have to worry about gas! It's a perfect idea!"

"Screw your plans, it's about the money."
    End

Makes me wonder why the Civic is the closest to achieve this goal...
It's ridunkulous(Had to make a new word for it) when most people complain about the pollution, but you're one of the ones causing it! Petty-Minded retards...

And again, solar energy is ignored by the smartest of people.
Hmm... we can not survive on solar energy alone. As I said Nuclear is the cheapest and easiest way forward. You can produce so much more energy from nuclear for the same price of the oil.

I know. But it needs to be thrown out there as an alternative more often that it is.

Watching the news, they brought the Nuclear idea out really nicely, but some dudes are saying "That could be used for weapons....(etc.)"(Kinda how you said it. Corrupt people.)

They realize that if 1 country fires, the world ends, right?(Mabye a little exaggerated.)

But then there's the problem of what to do with the nuclear waste.

I'm amazed at how many people have posted back, it's crazy. And all you people trashing me for "not understanding" and "we'd be stuck in the stone age", um, I am an 11 year-old boy with an IQ of 131. Get your facts straight. You better be glad I'm in a good mood because I just beat Arcade Star Dahlia in Platinum. WATCH OUT FOR WHEN I'M MAD!

Lol, so you negative rep right back, just because someone has a different opinion? That's very mature of you. (Oh, and your rep altering power is 0, so it doesn't do anything even if you negative rep someone. ^___^)

I don't think you realize how vital oil is to our everyday lives. You can preach all you want about its evils and how it's destroying the environment, but you can't pretend that the technologies that we use every day and take for granted wouldn't be here without it. That is just common sense.

If you were a human with the IQ of 131, then you wouldn't start your sentenace with the word 'And'.

I also bold random words in my posts.

Its the way we've come to live. I don't think we should sacrifice everything we've come to discover or make, like oil and plastic, just to stop some pollution.. sure, it's horrible, and I hate the idea of our earth dying, but life has advanced so much and it'd be like taking one step forward, and many, many steps back.

EDIT: In his defense, I have an IQ of 152 and I admittedly start sentences with "And" at times.. alright, not often, but I have my moments. However, I don't bold random words.. okay, I should awfully stop picking on him, he was just expressing his opinion, which we're all entitled to.

Shirayuki, first of all, it wouldn't be like taking many, many steps back. It would be like taking many, many steps forward, but in a better mood and attitude towards our equals(equals being other humans, animals, plants, birds and fish).

JD, you probably didn't read the first part.
I am an 11 year-old boy with an IQ of 131.
Hello! I am pretty much allowed to use "and" at the beginning of a sentence. I am also under a lot of pressure right now because I am currently taking the statewide required test to go to the next grade. That's also a little bit weird, because this guy on my Platinum I'm battling just told me this:
Youngster, the important thing is to never give up.

    Strange, huh?

I think the the global civilization is horribly single-minded about keeping oil and oil substitutes that exacerbate ecosystem destruction. While pokefan's rant is buffoonile (perhaps my IQ is too low to find a real word to use here), his comments might actually be more appropriate than yours given the current state of affairs.

While you might be right, it's silly to be praising oil when the focus should be on envisioning and mapping out a new society not based on liquid fuels. Yes, this might mean radical changes in the lives of everyday Americans!
