ive still got one its been kept in a folder since i got it as a kid its in mint condition is it still worth anything at all

Depends on how good the condition is, from your description maybe $80-100. I'm assuming it's the one from Base set.

Saying it with attitude doesn't make it so. Check out completed listings on ebay and you'll see that no non-psa graded 1st edition charizard has sold recently for anything near $400. Maybe the magazine you read is from 1997.

Magazine price guides can often be misleading, as the majority of pokemon magazines out there are unoffical. Magazines like Pojo, though popular, are vastly outdated and never update their price guide. Take actual recent sales as your guideline instead.

Uh..... No. I'm new here, but not new to the TCG. I read in a magazine that this specific card (assuming this is the Charizard that does 100 damage and has the power that any energy attached is fire type), this card is worth (in actual value in mint condition) $400.

Look at the copyright date for the magazine. It hasn't been worth that much when non-PSA graded in a good long while.

And magazines are far behind eBay as far as current card prices go.

    Depends on where you look.

The hobby shop closest to my house has a lot of older rare Pokemon cards there.

Back in the day they sold for hundreds, now days.. you can walk in there with 50 bucks, and come out with four of them. Last time I checked the Charizard cards they sold them for $25-30 depending on their condition. Which means that they probably bought them off the sellers for may 5 bucks. D; /sigh

That or they've had them for years.

Check eBay's completed listings and compare those with the condition of yours. It looked like most of the 1st editions were going for around 80$, with the regular version around 20$ or so.

    I have that card too!
I also have a blastoise one too
EDIT:how much is the mewtwo card from the first movie worth?

If you're talking about the Ancient Mew card, those prices fluctuate by quite a bit depending on where you look. I've seen them being bought for just a few cents, and others being sold upwards of 50$.
