4th Gen 1st gym leader

    Ok I cannot defeat the first gym leader! It has taken days and I still can't get it right. My pokemon is Bayleef and I have other pokemon too. Any tips? :\
     
    You could always trade a Bellsprout for a Onix in the house in the (iirc) south east of the town or catch a Geodude in Dark Cave, both have type advantage over flying.
     
    You could also catch a Mareep on Route 32 which is just south of Violet City. It'll give you an electric advantage against Falkner's Flying Types. Sneeze's suggestions work well too though. Next time, please try giving the HG/SS Help Thread a shot.
